Verified reviewI purchased a small, round Star Ruby from The Natural Ruby Company. Initially, I was blown away by the search tools of their site. The options to filter by all of the attributes you might need when looking for a loose gem were genuinely unmatched by other sites as I was shopping. Some came close, but The NRC was far and away the best, particularly because each item listed features a genuine picture of the gem itself. Narrowing by the details I needed for the pendant I’m working on, I found two gems that were ideal, and quickly settled on a favored ruby. Before beginning the purchase process, I went to sites like Reddit to find third-party reviews. I was quickly disappointed by reading some less than enthusiastic accounts. Some comments were made about gem heat treating and other artificial processes that had me concerned. Others mentioned gems having no GIA certification, only in house certs by The NRC in house professionals. I studied these topics for a while to educate myself. Meanwhile, I found a positive review where the buyer suggested asking for Katherine Hoyt by name to handle your order. I chose to move forward with a purchase, but I contacted the company through their contact page and requested Katherine. I’m very glad I did. Katherine was exceptional. She immediately informed me that they will happily send any loose gem for GIA cert, even covering the cost based on the list price of the gem. I did pay an additional $95 to have my selected gem certified, and I do not regret it. When the GIA number was ready, I was able to verify it myself online with GIA’s site. I paid a down payment to do this, and when I received the GIA, I completed the purchase. I’ll note that the GIA analysis confirmed all of the details in The NRC’s own in house certification to be true and accurate. Only a few days later, I had the gem in my possession. The presentation of the product was phenomenal! Perhaps it’s based on list price (my gem was $2,000 ), but I received a well arranged folio with all certs, GIA included, wrapped in a ribbon. The gem came in a solid, VERY heavy, metal and glass display case the size of a jewelry box. This box was wrapped in a fine felt drawstring pouch, and seated in an elegant foam padded gift box roughly the size of a short, thick novel. All of this was wrapped in a padded FedEx envelope, then boxed in FedEx box large enough to hold the folio and bag. Altogether, I am extremely satisfied. I will doubtless be a return customer.

Verified reviewLauren was fantastic, great communication, transparent and honest, other name brand online jewelers were dishonest. Better selection of top quality sapphires and honestly priced matched the same stone a competitor had priced lower. Custom ring was made, it came out exactly as i wanted, craftsmanship, box, verification documents were all top notch. I am happy to do business with them again, especially Lauren. Do your research, most of the other jewelers state their stones are exclusive to them, that is not true, I learned that these stones are sourced from common dealers, regardless of the final jeweler. That doesn't mean they are all that way just some.
