  I appreciate the concept of SuperProf and the opportunity to connect with students, but my experience over the past year has been disappointing. First, the subscription fee is quite high, and I believe this creates hesitation on the student side before they even contact a tutor. It feels like a barrier for both tutors and learners. Second, there is no way to display tutor availability. This would save time and prevent mismatches, as many inquiries come from people whose schedules are incompatible. Allowing tutors to publish available time slots would significantly improve the user experience. Additionally, there is little built-in protection for tutors. My direct contact information was visible to potential students, and I experienced harassment via email and text because there was no option to keep my personal contact details private. A secure messaging system that hides personal information until a booking is confirmed would help protect tutors and create a safer environment. Lastly, despite carefully completing my profile, setting competitive rates, and actively maintaining my account, I only matched with two students over the course of a year. For the subscription cost, I expected more engagement and visibility. It may be beneficial for the platform to invest more in student outreach and recruitment, because the demand simply did not match the cost or effort required from tutors in my case. SuperProf has potential, but at present the value for tutors is limited compared to other teaching platforms. With stronger tutor protection, better scheduling tools, and increased student traffic, it could become far more effective.

  Superprof has an amazing selection of highly qualified tutors who respond quickly and are committed to showing up and teaching to their best ability.   For the membership, I found only one teacher in person to teach my daughter the clarinet. The other teacher was only virtual and I did not want virtual. Our options were very limited. The membership plus the additional 30 mins cost more than what the teacher charges for one hour of class. It said first class is free but superprof charges you $49 to have initial contact w the teacher. I would never use this platform again as I think there are better ones out there that won’t charge you. Although I liked the teacher, I wouldn’t recommend using superprof as it seems too limited and too pricey for what it is.

  The website can be a bit clunky at times, but its made up for by the steady trickle of new student inquiries. The students are generally good fits for me, and it seems that the number of leads has been increasing lately. Especially considering that the tutor does not have to pay for leads, I would definitely recommend this to any tutor looking for more students.

  I have met several amazing tutors on Superprof, but unfortunately I lost $400 due to fake tutor profile who accept my request and after charging me for 10 lessons, provided a fake contract and email number. I will sadly never get the $400 back. I wish Superprof had live customer service agents and accountability for fraudulent tutor sites! Otherwise, I am very happy with the Tutors I worked with!

  Overall, the website is good. While generally user friendly, some of my clients have found the site difficult to navigate. I find the fees to be a bit high, and the payment system flawed when it comes to "package" deals. I will not offer those anymore because the system payout is silly. We tutors should be paid for EACH lesson, not half and half.

  I'm not sure what I get really for the monthly fees. It seems excessive. Also don't like when you say that your instructors" refuse" me. Sounds like they don't like me for some reason that I did something wrong. Just a bad choice of words. Also, it's kind of hard to share things we're working on. The audio doesn't seem to work in the platform you provide so we have to go off into zoom or something.

  We found and conducted Italian Lessons for my 14 yr. old. We found a wonder fit and connection with our tutor. I would highly recommend this site for online tutoring. We were ok with a free flow format. We are just leaning on the tutor’s lesson plans. I think they do a lot of conversation, which is important for a fun and engaging way to learn a language. She does teach language rules.

  The site itself works well and the professors are good quality, information is useful, and I have successfully found and matched with professors. However the business seems to do a few things that are deceptive. First of all, they require you to buy a subscription to contact professors (or make it seem like they do). However, they charge a recurring monthly subscription. They make it clear you can cancel whenever you find a professor but I think in some ways they're counting on you forgetting to cancel it after you find yours. I understand the pricing model - shift the cost to the consumer, but given the model you're not always looking for new professors - that monthly cost is probably so high because so many users only use it for a month but they should just make that a longer pass with no renewal. Also on pausing subscription, it makes it seem like you'll lose access to your features immediately while you really keep it until your subscription runs out. Good service - somewhat dishonest pricing/subscription model.

  Although I love the concept and have experience the platform on a few occasions, there are some fundamental drawbacks to the experience. The massive amount of email and text communication required to access the actual professors… It is painful. I understand probably security issues or Waha, but it really deters my further use of the platform. Also, the Online on screen platform is extremely cumbersome and again spending more time on the technology issues of the platform made me not want to access more professors. Again the concept is great, but these are issues that won’t be solved easily. I’m sure unfortunately it matters to me how smooth the stuff operates. As for the tutors, they are the three I’ve had have been amazing… Making the platform worth a look however, the integration technology will be a deter for me in the future

  I'm an ESL tutor at Superprof, I've been getting students from Superprof for around five years. I also get students from a competing platform. And I've looked at or tried several others. Superprof is the one I prefer by far. The competing platforms are greedy, their websites are extremely complicated and buggy. The job of these platforms is simply to help students and teachers find eachother; Superprof seems to understand this, the others do not. Superprof does have a problem that I always warn my students about: the fee that students pay to contact tutors is a recurring monthly fee; students don't know that and end up paying that fee repeatedly without realizing it. That is why I'm giving Superprof four stars instead of five. That is minor compared to the disgusting nonsense of the other platforms. The competing platforms deserve one or two stars.

  I have received a few students from here so far, some that have continued with me for many months. My issues with SuperProf: - even though I’m listed as a virtual lesson teacher, SuperProf will sometimes pair me with students that want lessons at home or at my place. - even though I just renewed my subscription, my stats have plummeted. I get told I need more reviews, so what’s the point of the subscription then??

  SP seems like a very credible site. I got a good, legit client out of it. Navigating the web site is difficult, however. Creating appointments when using a lesson pack is confusing. Once understood, however, using the site on a laptop or computer is okay. However, doing it on a phone is next to impossible.

  SuperProf is well worth the time and, in my opinion, well worth the upgrade money. Due to Covid and job fluctuations, SuperProf literally gave me enough to get by on and continues to provide even though I'm secure in a full time job. I've met students from around the world and it's been a great experience that has allowed me to expand my own creative knowledge as well. Love it!

  Most tutors dont reapond in the time it says nor even close to it and some schedule and dont show up they ask a date when you propone and then when you talk they give you the date instead of what you had Originally ask for or they respond and say o yes i accept your proposal bit in 2 weeks lol thats not really accepted it cus your changing the date

  It is very annoying that you need to pay first before you can contact tutors. Some of their tutors are excellent while others are horrible and are probably scams. Their customer service could use a lot of improvement, especially if you are not from France, where they are headquartered. They are better than some other tutor companies which are around the same price level, but the better companies provide more services and charge more.

  It was pretty easy to enter the site and search for my preferences. It's understood that there is a monthly price, added to the hourly fee, but other platforms do similar things as BJ'S, Uber. But although these are marketing terms, I found there is a high person-oriented focus. So far everything seems to be going smoothly. I was contacted swiftly, and quickly began my first tutoring session with Abrar, who is personable and very familiar with the topics, focused on helping me to understand the materials, also providing me with a study book. There is room for my questions and if I get stuck Abrar takes time to help me. There are clearly defined expectations and patience with me and overall kindness. We quickly agreed on a schedule and it is very satisfying to know I can really progress in my learning. I'm looking forward eagerly to what the rest of the tutoring will achieve.
