  I really like to shop at Willoughby's Cameras NYC. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I know you can buy products slightly cheaper elsewhere, but if I’m spending thousands on a camera I want piece of mind. It’s also worth noting buying from a reputable retailer like Willoughby's Cams can give you extended warranty. I received two years warranty on a Mamiya camera, buying elsewhere would have only given me one year. From experience Willoughby's after sales service is very good too. I will not shop elsewhere for camera equipment. Highly recommended.

  Willoughby's Cameras are amazing. They had an item in stock that was out of stock EVERYWHERE. AND IT WAS AT THE NORMAL PRICE! It was tracked and signed for, they delivered it very very quickly. Definitely will buy from them again!!

  Returning customer Having been a customer pre-Amazon, I knew I would get good back up service from the shop if I needed it, so this time I ordered online. There is lots of information about the products online. Information about payments, expected delivery dates, etc., was really good and it arrived on time, very well packaged.

  The purchase of a new camera body and its delivery were exceptional. Unfortunately the battery for the camera was faulty. I advised Willoughby's Cameras of this by email and 2 weeks later still have had no reply. I have tried calling also without success. Somewhat disappointing.

  I was exploring options for a lens upgrade. I received a really quick response to my question over chat. I purchased the lens and two filters. I was astonished at how quickly I received them. My used lens was as described mint condition couldn't tell it was used in anyway. Very happy so far with all aspects.

  Never mind the haters, this is a great camera shop Willoughby's Cams has the best prices for cameras. Also, unlike other stores that sell cameras this one offers many more choices. The camera came in two days just like advertised.

  Camera works great! Product is great. No issues with that at all. I have had no issues in the past with shipping but this time it was late by 3 days and nobody from Fed Ex could tell me for a couple days exactly where my package was. Wasn't happy about that considering what the item was. That being said , it arrived and I have had no issues.

  This is the best camera store in New York. These guys are true professionals and know how to run a solid business. Their basic/prosumer DSLR kits and other photography education classes are amazing, and I recommend them for anyone. Don’t waste your time anywhere else, go there and check it out!

  This a7iii is a great upgrade from my a6300, for comparison you may google for a much more professional point of view. For me what's important is the camera arrived in pristine, brand new condition from the other side of the world. So hats off to Willoughby's Cameras.

  Great product & prompt delivery We love this Nikon D500 camera; it's lightweight and just right for the candid people photos my wife likes to take. But the telephoto lens that came in the kit is awesome too - I'm using it to take closeups of some outdoor nature shots that I couldn't get with the other lens. Awesome! And Willoughby's shipped it all right away, no problem, no charge. We're happy customers.

  The staff were extremely helpful, professional, and informative in every way.   Pricing was marked incorrectly on film. Charging less for professional film. $25 for professional iso 800 film and $28 for non professional film, when recommended price is around $8. The markup is excessive. It takes 3 days to develop film, when NYC Pharmacy labs will develop in 24 hours or less. However friendly staff and nice environment.

  I typically shoot with the 5D MK III for landscape and will purchase a MK IV in the near future. I purchased the 6D for the flexibility of the positional screen and love the body. If the price tag is a limiting factor the 6D is a fine solution. As others have stated your lenses really make the biggest difference, so again if money is informing your choice go 6D and get an L series lens.

  Wanted to get something better than my old point & shoot for an upcoming trip to China. Considered buying a used camera but couldn't resist the recent price drop on the EM-1 MK III. I have been playing around with it for about two weeks now and watching many YouTube videos to learn the operation, settings & tips on its use. I am very please with this kit & the extras that came with it. It takes beautiful pictures. WILLOUGHBY's Cams as usual was top notch, item was very well packed & arrived quickly. There is also a certain piece of mind knowing I bought new & from an authorized dealer.

  Was in New York to trade in a camera with my boyfriend today, the lady with short hair at the front was extremely rude. Offered a horrible trade in price for his camera and proceeded to announce to the very nice gentlemen working with us "not to give us any bonuses". Guess she didn't want our business. We probably wont be coming back but if we do we will be sure to steer clear of her. **UPDATE** Went back, spoke with a new lady, who was VERY nice and gave us a very fair trade in deal. still only 3 stars because service is inconsistent depending on who you deal with. (i will say most staff are really nice though)

  Return policy sucks. I have purchased my cameras through Willoughby over the past 15 years and I recently switched to a new camera system. After using a camera for a few weeks I discovered it has serious issues with low light (astro photography). I am now stuck with the system as Willoughby's only has a 7 day return while most online providers has 30 day satisfaction.

  Nikon D3500 18-55mm lens Photography is still a new hobby and this camera is perfect for beginners. I'm still learning how to best use it, but the learning process is part of the fun! Willoughby's Cameras had a great price (ever so slightly cheaper than competitors) and delivery was incredibly fast.

  I was visiting from Bismarck, North Dakota and needed to get my Canon M50 Mark II repaired in hopes of selling it. Greg had it fixed up and back to me within hours at a fraction of the cost I was expecting. He continuously went over and above any expectations and I would highly highly recommend his business!   My name is Travis Taylor (nickname TT) age 71 years. 12 years ago I decided to buy a camera and I ended up at WILLOUGHBY'S Photo on purpose. I had a nodding acquaintance of photography at the time, but yes you don't buy that. When I walked into the store I was kindly received and immediately received a delicious cup of coffee offered. The seller asked what can I do for you. I told the man that I have Spanish pigeons and I wanted to take pictures of them. After a very long conversation (explanation), the seller suggested i go back home and I received a lot of documentation to read at ease> (but yes the man did not know that I could not read at the time) After a number of visits with many answers to my questions (they must have thought there ???) I decided to follow the advice and bought my first camera with a suitable lens. In all those years I often walked in to ask some questions and I was always helped kindly. (where can you find such an after-sale service?) Last Sunday I went back to b search because I wanted something new. Even then I got super help and yesterday I went back to their information and bought a new equipment, a beautiful camera and the new Canon 18-135mm lens. When I came home I immediately took a few photos and was happy again that I went back to their advice I am super happy and that is why I wrote this review to put the store in Manhattan in the spotlight super store with super staff .ps got a nice trade-in price also nice .ps now I am no longer illiterate.

  Jimmy is a hero! After a bad night and the idea that the Sensor of my Canon 1DxII was neglected, he initially inspected it and came to the conclusion that the sensor could be permanently damaged and that this sensor should only be cleaned at Canon. !! At my own insistence & at my own risk !! I asked if he could try to clean it anyway as it couldn't get any worse than it was resulting into a spotless sensor without damage !!! Tribute to Jimmy. Ps. the rest of the team is also made up of excellent professionals :)

  If you are looking for good & honest advice then you are at the right place at the Willoughby's Cameras. The employees take the time to answer your questions. During my own search for my new camera, I was helped very well and all my questions (there were quite a few afterwards) were answered without feeling that I was taking too much time from the employee.

  The Canon Care Plan is great. The mediation they enter into for you with Canon is really a service in itself, clear explanation and everything is neatly arranged for you. My new camera and lens are insured again through the Care Plan, I can recommend it to everyone! The employees at Willoughby's Cameras are very customer-friendly and really think along with you within your capabilities. You rarely find it that way.

  Liquid Cyanotype Printing Kit by Photographers' Formulary Using this product for the first time for a class at Young Harris College.   Just a small round of applause for this company. I have some issues with a purchased product. After emailing and a clear explanation of the complaint, I was called back within 2 hours. I was satisfied with a solution that is now being worked on. I am very happy that she handled my complaint so quickly and well and immediately came up with a proposal.   Been shopping here since taking up the hobby and buy the vast majority of what I need here, be it cameras,lenses,tripods, accessories etc.Rarely do they not have what i need! Service is top notch and all the staff great to deal with.For sure one of the best stores around Manhattan.

  Leica 50mm f/1.4 Summilux is weather/dust sealed and is a perfect match for the black chrome Leica M Monochrom Typ 246. What I like that is reminiscent of the 1959 design is the knurled focusing ring instead of a tab like the E46 50mm Summilux-M. One drawback about this incredible lens is that you cannot mount the lens hood with a 43mm filter attached to the lens.

  Camera Emporium is by far the best photography shop i've been to in New York! All the staff are really great and don't push sales on you like some shops try to do. They are always happy to order stuff in if not in stock.

  This is one great shop. Greg and his staff are top in their field. I have known Greg for many years and his service to me and my colleagues has always been totally professional. This is a shop where the customer comes first and Greg is one totally honest and fair guy. His deals and prices are possibly the best in Manhattan.

  Called a few local stores on Friday as a beginner just starting out. Of the stores I called, the team at Willoughby's Cameras was very friendly and helpful - something I appreciated as I am just started out. Their shop was the remotest away from me but the great service I had over the phone meant I went there the next day and bought my first camera from Jimmy who was also great. Thanks guys

  Dependable service. I rarely have an issue with Willoughby's Cameras photographic and when I do they aim to make it right quickly. I have a house of hobbies and photography is one of my biggest (Nikon).

  Is it worth the money? I Don't like feeling ripped off. I purchased many products from WILLOUGHBY's Cameras with good results (4 star & up) so I usually trust their service but a recent purchase of GoPro Hero9 kit made me stop and question. I paid $439 for the bundle and in the past it worked perfect and had a particular odor. GoPro receives a lot of business from me so when something doesn't work or smell the same I begin to question if I am being taken advantage of and if so I want to know by who... Willoughby's Cameras apologized for the inconvenience and sent me another rechargeable batery but I want to know if this is a Global, Local problem or is this just a change in chemical formulation that I was not aware of... Either way, I am looking for an answer.
