  This item had a good price when I bought it for a Windows 10 Home upgrade to Windows 10 Pro. I had concern s about the 2 1/2 star rating and found that many of the people who rated it poorly had 'problems' installing it over their Windows 7 or 8 operating systems. The instructions explicitly inform that the user must have Windows 10 Home version installed on their computer prior to using this upgrade. It will do nothing for you if you have any other OS. The people who left the poor reviews because the upgrade product didn't work with their non-Windows10HomeVersion didn't pay attention to the product description/instructions and can't be trusted in their reviews for their own obliviousness. Their lack of paying attention seems to be their primary reason for their dissatisfaction.I installed it this upgrade on my 17"" HP Omen laptop. Windows 10 Pro didn't play kindly with some gaming features of the computer, namely the Omen Command Center, and it was necessary for me to download additional drivers to make the Command Center work properly, The Omen Command Center and HP System Event Utility from the Microsoft Store. After getting those packets of code, I was good to go with having the Command Center functional/present.If you are old school and want to do a 'clean' install of windows 10 Pro (after making an OS utility install drive), some computers will not allow you to do this, and you must utilize the upgrade for the Windows 10 Pro ON TOP OF WINDOWS 10 HOME VERSION. The HP Omen machine I got came with Windows 10 Home on it. I knew that I wanted the Pro version and just figured I'd get the upgrade, make an OS utility on a USB, flatline the computer, and install a fresh Windows 10 Pro OS. This was not the case. The home version kept creating a recovery boot partition on my hard drives, even after formatting them. It is like there is an Extra BIOS or a memory chip set that has the recovery of Windows 10 Home on the motherboard...or something similar...that will install 10 Home version, even though you boot up with the Pro Utility.Anyhow, if you want a Windows 10 Pro OS from the get-go, I suggest purchasing a computer that has the Pro version installed at new. I searched high and low for an HP Omen with Windows Pro and couldn't find one. One merchant on Amazon advertised one, but never responded to my inquiries concerning it, so I went with someone else who had a hardware configuration that was closest to my desires.

  @ ActionC, Outlook most likely doesn't work because it's configured incorrectly, if there was an issue with installation you can reinstall or do a repair install, you can only have 1 instance of Outlook, everything else word, pp, Excel etc., You can have

  The Windows 10 Upgrade Product Keys were provided within 15 minutes after purchased and I successfully upgraded my Windows 10 Home systems to Windows 10 Pro as outlined in the description.For those that have reviewed and left poor ratings stating it didn't work to upgrade there Windows 7 systems, they did not read the details or requirements. It is clearly stated that a Requirement is that you have Windows 10 Home, not any other version of Windows. No where does it state this Upgrade Key works for any other version than Windows 10 Home.

  Cons: Luckily I read the reviews first about needing to go to Microsoft office to download the office suit and luckily I read the reviews about amazon's key not being the actual product key. amazon's key is a purchase key for a download link or something and microsoft provides the actual office license key to you in your microsoft account.Pros: Great value especially for the price and works like I need it to. It's much better than the free cr*p like libreoffice or openoffice or other knockoffs that try to pass themselves on as legit office suits. I mostly use it for word very rarely excel and powerpoint. The word to pdf conversion for publishing makes this worth every penny spent plus no stupid subscription which has to be renewed over useless features I don't need or use. Definately worth buying this if you haven't already

  I placed the order. I immediately got a link in Amazon to Digital orders. I clicked on the link and there was my product. I downloaded the file, ran the file on the iMac, and Office 2019 Biz was ready to go. I did not have to input an activation code. I did have to add the accounts in Outlook. It did not bring forward the emails in the folders from Outlook 2011. I will buy it again for the laptop.

  Was very concerned being “forced” to upgrade from Win 7 Pro, running a few highly proprietary apps, but all ran flawlessly. Made sure cloud backup was current, created media on USB drive and followed the steps. You’re prompted at a couple of points to do a clean install or preserve programs and data. Everything was preserved, including internet settings, printers, etc. It’ll take time to get used to 10 coming from 7, but I was shocked at how easy the upgrade went.

  I like that they instantly give you a number. then you can go download the software. burn it onto a thumb drive usb 3.0 disk and it installs that quick. most painless process except for you have to use a special iso burner called rufus. it burns the iso a special way. or use the media burner on the web page itself where you get the win10 from. the code always stays with your content on amazon. so the licence is always easy to find. I have done this for two computers, fixing to do a third time when the parts come in. I am oldschool but this was easy. you will feel good about it.

  I had already read through almost all of the reviews before I made this purchase. The software is for a new Dell PC with Windows 10. I am not a ""Cloud"" person, so while I would have preferred the actual media. However, that is no longer happening. The Amazon price is excellent, and is the same as the Costco price.Note (Update): New computers are often shipped with a 30-day ""Trial"" version of Microsoft Office. In my case my system was primarily focused on the Office 365/subscription version, which was not my preference. Before purchasing and installing any new version of Microsoft Office, Uninstall the ""Trial"" version that was shipped with your new computer.Start > Control Panel > Programs and Features > Microsoft Office (I believe that there were two on my system, one for Office, the other for Office 365) > Uninstall. Re-boot your computer and confirm that the Uninstall process was successful.These procedures are mentioned in one or more of the reviews below, and were also recommended to me by two different Microsoft Office technical support representatives.Here are my recommendations:1. Before you begin the installation you will need to have (create) a Microsoft account, with a password,2. After I made my purchase from Amazon and received the Key Code, in Windows 10 Start > Productivity > Office > Install Office3.   Another reviewer said the same thing, and he was right. Buy a real Microsoft product like this one, plug the USB in and it goes to work. I just went along for the ride. If things keep moving along in an orderly manner, I feel lucky, and this worked fine on a 2012 Toshiba laptop. You get a few choices to make and it starts cleaning and vacuuming and pretty soon it'll restart and you're ready to get started with the real work.Which is, strip the guts out of that program and make it yours. I uninstalled about half that bloatware if I could find it, Skype, pictures, video, Ortana, all that jive got uninstalled, then my unit ran like a racecar.With a little wonking around all your Windows 7 stuff will pop back up and you'll feel right at home again.Don't buy that $85 model, no matter how tempting it might be. With this product, there's a guarantee and you can return it.

  I was slightly concerned with purchasing this after reading the reviews about how difficult the process was. However, the process for activating could not have been simpler. I did have to go into my amazon account and view my subscriptions > advanced subscription options to find my product key, but that process would more than likely be expected for anyone not buying directly from Microsoft. If you already have the trail downloaded (most windows computers already have it installed) it was just a matter of logging into Microsoft and copy-paste. In total (not including download time) it took 6 minutes.The fact that Amazon is able to provide a discount (usually unheard of with most software, besides to students - check with your school first ALWAYS) makes the negligible extra steps worth it. I was able to make 6 equal payments with my Amazon card with still getting the paid-in-full price.Disclaimer: I work in software for a living but if you have a need to use word/excel/etc and are unable to complete these steps, i would recommend taking a computers 101 class.

  Download the software from Microsoft website. Issue was 1. Need to delete all the Microsoft 360 office trial version before installing software otherwise will end up with two versions on the computer and Microsoft wants to charge up per month. Took awhile to get that issue resolve. Now it works as it should.

  I work from home and have a company computer that was running Windows 7 and had to update to Windows 10. It was the easiest download and installation I have ever done.   I purchased this PDF Pro 2 - PDF editor and using it for two weeks now. It came quickly and installation on my Win 10 desktop was easy. It works well for editing my PDF files (adding PDF pages from another PDF file, deleting pages in the given PDF file, extracting selected PDF pages to another file). It is intuitive and easy to use for my simple PDF editing tasks. I would recommend this software to friends.

  I was dreading the forced upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10, but it went smoothly. I chose the option to keep my apps and files rather than a clean install, and everything works as before. Glad I finally took the plunge!UPDATE: I bought two downloads of this Windows 10 upgrade. I installed them on old HP desktops: one purchased in 2014 and the other in 2012. It's been over a week now and both PCs have had no problems with performance or compatibility. Even old apps (originally purchased in the late 1990s) work flawlessly. Highly recommended!

  A new version comes out each year so I usually wait 2 or 3 years before upgrading. I was interested in the B&W colorizer on this version. It works good on some photos and not so good on others. Not sure why but it's kind of hit or miss. I am glad I got it, though.

  If you have to have Microsoft's bloated and over-priced Office tools, at least it's 30 dollars cheaper here than on the Microsoft site. The digital delivery worked fine with no fuss.

  I had a laptop, running Windows 7, that I wanted to upgrade. I downloaded this product, followed the easy to understand directions, and withing an hour or so, was up and running on W10.

  I was of the old school and happy with XP, but then figured I'd stay with Win 7 or 8.1 when forced to change. So here we are eventually forced to move on to Win 10. Yes, the added features are worth it. Be prepared for an extended time period of updating at the end of the installation.{c "">

  Ok, very skeptical at first, but with Windows 7 Pro having the plug pulled on it next month and needing to purchase software for taxes, I thought I had no choice.Shut off all running applications (though I did NOT shut off Norton 360) plug in the USB stick, click on setup and away it goes. The process took about an hour. Surprisingly, everything booted up and runs just fine. Office 2013, Quicken 2010 (yes, even that) even Call of Duty 2 runs. I didn't get a prompt to enter the license key, but it shows activated, so i guess the key is stored in the USB. Though I purchased the ""home"" version, it upgraded me to Windows 10 Pro, at least that what it says in the control panel. So, I guess I saved $60 by doing it this way.If you've got Win 7 Pro and Office with a few other programs, I would recommend taking the plunge. It honestly appears that we won't have much choice.

  If You need a machine to be running Windows 10 then the download is the way to get a serial number and Operating System quickly. A few extra dollars but guaranteed to have a complete install.

  I've bought two of these so far and both have worked fine. The version of Windows 10 is usually outdated so I usually download the latest version from Microsoft to prevent so many updates. The presentation is nice, the flash drive works great and the key is valid. Haven't had any issues so far.
