I'm a 2 handicapper and playd for many years ProVx and liked it and tried many balls but always go back to ProVx but finally I have found that ball that matches it. Snell Black is great ball with durable cover, great toutch on and near green. Low spin with driver and long irons.I will play with this in future. And the best is...is the price:)

I am a bit surprised at how quickly the Snell wording wears off the ball. After 36 holes it is rubbed off.

Received a gift certificate for Christmas, I tried the black and red, I like both but favor the red around the greens. No noticeable difference from prov-1 aside from a slightly different sound, and price of course. Will be my ball going forward.

I was an angry young and middle aged man..I quit golf because of my imperfections.I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran who was looking at immobility for life.I started beating at the ball for therapy at 71 years. Either walk and live or sit and die on the vine.I played a round with my low handicap nephew, and he urged me to try Snell black.I could really feel the difference, although slight for me..Working thru a humbling front nine, I told myself ""just finish, it will be over soon""..On the ninth I could barely swing from fatigue and attitude.. Just finish..I got a hole in one..No matter what, I have to get another, and another...I am revitalized..Thank you

I was thrilled when they arrived. After the first day of using them I knew I wouldn’t buy anything but Snell. As a high handicapper they have improved my game. Even a bad strike I find them going a good distance. When I hit them correctly they seem to explode for a beautiful good shot. As soon as my supply goes down I will be ordering more. Thanks Snell!

I was so excited to read about a tour-level ball at a discount price ... but I was disappointed. They fly high and to the right ... if I hit them perfectly, they go well but didn't perform to the level I had hope for, and expected. Based upon input from others on line, maybe I'm missing something so I'll continue to give them a try. Hopefully they'll produce a discovery that makes me smile.

Finally got the chance to test the SNELL Black golf balls I purchased for Christmas. I was impressed with the distance and the flight of the ball. The feel of striking the ball was the best I have had with any ball. Te accuracy of the flight of the ball was excellent.I was constantly in the middle of the fairway with each drive and fairway shots as well. The approach shots to the green were excellent as well and the ball preformed as advertised. This ball is every bit as good if not better than the ProV1s I have been using. I will order more and I cannot wait to see the improvement in my game.

The MTB Black is my favorite ball I've played so far. I like it better than the Pro V1. The ball is very responsive, and durable. I have kept up with one ball for my last three rounds, and the ball is scratched & scarred up pretty good and it still plays like new. I'm looking forward to my pre-order delivery (MTB-X - OPTIC YELLOW) in April. I tried the MTB Red and it was too soft for me, so I am not sad to see them discontinue them. I HIGLY RECOMMEND the MTB Black, at least until I have the chance to play the MTB-X. At the price point you won't find a better ball!

I use both MTB Black and ProV1X interchangeably. May have a few yards longer drive with ProV1X, as my absolute longest drives seem to always be with the Titleist. That said, it could just be subjective variables like wind or ambient temperature. And this is only a few yards at most. Other than this, I really think the two balls are almost identical. Spin, feel, sound. Just an awesome ball. And half the price. Since I don’t get free balls, this is not an irrelevant detail. Plus, it’s cool to outdrive someone with a Snell. Gets their attention! My current GHIN is 4.7 as a reference.

I’ve nothing but good things about Snell. I decided to try the Black. I was sceptically optimistic as I’ve tried one of the other mail order balls and didn’t like them. The Snell Black exceeded my expectations in every way, great ball for me Tee to green. There is no compromise for my game compared to the other Tour level balls. The only difference I noticed is the price. No brainer for me, this is my new ball.

Why would anyone purchase any other ball than Snell MTB Black? Great feel, spin and distance. Why would anyone pay $20-25 more for any ball of equal or lesser quality. I used this golf ball all last yr and it was better than any tour ball and I've used them all. I will be trying the new Snell MTB-X. Love the new pricing format!

I have very high standards for my equipment. After learning who Mr. Snell was and what he has done in the golf ball industry, I decided to buy a dozen of these balls. Best $32 I’ve spent on any golf equipment. I am very picky when it comes to my golf ball. This ball exceeded all expectations. Best ball I have used from tee to green. Prefect feel off the tee and soft around the greens.

I am a 3 handicap and like everyone here, am tired of paying $50/dz for tour balls. Someone handed me an MTB Black and I played it for 36 holes straight. Here is my results:Drives: I swing between 99-102 with the D, and I noticed no difference from the ProV1. I didn’t lose it, so accuracy and flight were good.Hybrids: MTB Black launches a little higher for me, which is good.Irons: Feels just as soft as ProV1, launched about the same, didn’t notice any distance difference.Short Game: this was one area where I noticed a difference, where the ProV1 checks harder than MTB Black on chips and shorts pitches. Have to allow for slightly more release.Putter: Felt great off the putter, Slightly softer than ProV1, putted with confidence and distance control was fine.Cover: after 36 holes, it held up well and can still be teed up again. Overall, I would say the new uerathane material across all brands holds up extremely well theses days. If you don’t lose it, keep playing it.

Actually ran across the Snell Ball by accident. Had tried several of the ""New"" off brands and never found them to beat my Chrome Soft. I have struggled settling between the ProV1-x and the Chrome soft. Love the higher flight of the ""x"" and the feel of the CS. Like I said I ran across a video of a local pro talking about the Snell balls, because of the price I gave it a try. I finished my 4th round with the MTB Black and I LOVE the MTB Black. I get the distance and height of the ProV1x and the soft feel of the Chrome Soft. Just placed an order for several more boxes for the season ahead. Can't wait for my Handicap Index to drop 5-6 strokes to due the lower scores I am posting. Straight off the Tee but still able to work it when needed, Straight in the fairway (Again easily workable) great spin around the green and soft feel off the putter. What more can you want in a ball.

Albatross! Friday I made a Hole-in-One on Hole #6, a 227 yd Par 4 with a Snell (Red) golf ball. This was the first Par 4 Hole-in-One at Desert Sands, Golf Course, AZ. This was my second Hole-in-One, first on a par 4. I've used Titleist PV1s for years. However, after my purchase of the Snell Reds I'll never go back. Great feel with both woods and irons. I may have to try the MTB-X.

Playing this ball during the winter months has brought a welcome surprise. The Get Sum ball flies well off the tee with a great, soft feel. Distance is equal to the premium balls that are in the $50 range/box. I hit a fairly high iron shot to the greens and this ball lands softly with a bit of a checkup. I've had to change some strategy as far as distance/roll than what I normally see in other balls. That's not a big issue, just a re-calibration of flight and roll. I'm male, 69, 10 handicap, and live in the Mid-Atlantic/Coastal area, and play all year long (depending on the temperature) ‚Ķ this ball is also very soft off the putter. All in all, I give this ball a ""5"". I'm headed to Myrtle Beach in May and will certainly have this ball in my bag for that trip.

Although, I am not on tour a 4 handicap - this ball performs as well as the TP, Pro V, the C Soft and all the rest. This ball performs as well and I think better than all the rest. It looks good after several rounds and what I love the most is the money that is in my pocket after each purchase. I tested the ball for 30 days against the TP ball that I have been playing for at least 8 years and was pleased - so pleased that I made the switch. Thanks for a superior product.

I used to be brand conscious, what's that ol adage, you get what you pay for. That holds true in most scenarios but with Snell not so much. You get a high performing, durable golf ball at a more than affordable price. Full disclosure, I did crack one of their balls last year but I've also cracked a Taylor Made so big deal. I've had tremendous luck with durability and performance. Last year I logged 255 rounds all with the Snell product. I usually play 1 ball multiple rounds, the ball really holds up. I play between a 0-+3, it's like Dean made the ball specifically for me. Great job Dean, keep em coming!!!!!

To start, I'm by no means a ""true golfer"", my average score is anywhere from 90-110. I try to play 3-4 times per month and am always trying to improve my game. I don't hit the straightest drives, don't have the best approach shots / chips, nor the best putting stroke. Yet after one round with the MTB-X, I feel as if all of those things are possible. Per Dean's ball-fitting instructions, included with the balls, I didn't hit any of my new balls off the tee (besides par 3's) as I used them for all of my secondary shots and putting strokes. Also, I didn't want to lose any of my new balls as I wasn't having my best driving day. The feel off the club face, the improved distance, and stopping power on the greens (when I hit them) were incredible. I can't wait to get back out there and try out the MTB Black next. I'll update my review after the next round to compare the MTB-X to the MTB Black. Thanks in advance Dean to helping me shoot lower scores!

Picked up a couple dozen for a quick rally to the desert. Played Coyote Springs and Wolf Creek off the couch (mid-winter here still will be lucky to golf by mid-May) and played these all weekend. Felt good with all the clubs, especially the driver. I got a little down on them after I cracked the cover on one about 6 holes in (no cart path or any big hits besides my clubs)- no structural damage, but a crack running about 2/3 of the way around the ball in the outer layer. Weird. Liked them well enough, but will play the other box when things warm up and see if I can get over the durability questions.

My wife and I just finished a round of golf on a West Coast golf course (par 72). A little feedback for you‚Ķ‚Ķ From the very first Driver off the tee, on Hole #1, the MTB Black made me turn to my wife and say ‚ÄúWow‚Äù. It jumps off the face and feels soft which we loved! I continued to play the MTB Black for the rest of the golf course and this ball feels soft, like the Callaway Chrome Soft. The MTB Black was stopping on the greens incredibly well for me. I have to summarize my experience with the MTB as ‚Äúthis ball does everything well‚Äù. It feels soft off the Driver, soft off the fairway woods, and soft off the irons as well. I know some people are so picky they can get hung-up on the ‚Äúsound‚Äù of a golf ball when it is struck, but not me‚ÄîI don‚Äôt give a rats as*** what the ball sounds like, if it plays as well as the MTB Black! There is NOTHING that I didn‚Äôt like about this ball, and, Snell Golf, you have found a new lifetime customer. I LOVE your business model and how your price comes in with discounts for purchases of multiple dozens‚ÄîI really appreciate your business model more than I can say. We thank Mr. Snell for creating such a truly great golf ball and finding a way to help us customers with the pricing. This is the best ball for the best price I have ever played. I‚Äôll finish my feed back exactly how I stared it ‚Ķ. WOW!!!!

Upfront, the hype is truth. I have used the MTB Black and it is what I need in a golf ball. I have run into one issue how long the ball last for 3-4 holes. Durability is not as I would like, but, I have ran into this issue with pretty much all golf balls I have tried. Distance is spot on and well, what you can do around the greens with this golf ball is exactly what is needed. I will continue to use the MTB Black until something can out perform it. But, not looking like anything os going to do it any time soon. Dean continue the good work and if you need a tester, I will always be a willing participant.

Just received 5 dozen MTB X and played 18 today. This ball is the real deal. I am a low hdcp player that has played Taylor Made for years. I absolutely cannot tell a difference from the TP5 and the MTB X. It has a great feel, carried well with the driver and spins slightly more than the black. I did not notice the ball being any firmer than the black, which was a concern. I played in 15-20 mph winds today and hit 14 greens while shooting 72. The ball held its line and performed great. If you choose a Titleist, Taylor Made or Bridgestone over this ball, you are wasting your money. Thanks Dean.

I've been playing Chrome Soft this year and have loved them... But I wanted something more affordable while still using a great ball. I did my research and everywhere I looked, Snell Black kept popping up. So I figured I'd try them out. I've only played one round with them but I can already tell you that I have found a ball that I absolutely love! I'm hitting my drives further but my iron distances are staying the same(which is what I want). Another great part is how durable they are! My Chrome softs would at least get scuffed a little after a round of playing. I hit a lot of full swing wedge(56 degree and 60 degree) shots because I tend to drive pretty far. After every hole, I would clean the ball and look for scuffs/markings. That ball is as good as new after 18 holes. I cleaned it and really inspected it after my round and I felt comfortable putting it in my ""good ball"" pouch in my bag. Love how durable it is and I love how it feels both off the tee and hitting on the green(from every distance). At $28 a dozen, there is no way I even think about buying another ball this season or next. I'm officially a Snell fan through and through.

Only 3 rounds in at this point due to cold and wet conditions here but at this point I am very pleased with the performance of the MTB black. My distance is the same and the feel and performance has been great, even spun a couple back off the greens today, something I haven't done in the past. The feel chipping around the green is excellent, I am a feel, sound putter and this ball is great. I bought the yellow and appreciate the visibility of the ball. Played a round with the MTB-X yesterday in Wisconsin. Storms moved through right before the round leaving 25-35 mph winds. The X didn't balloon off any club in the bag in those winds!!! The ball jumps off the club face and feels like a rocket (My club head speed is between 105-110mph for reference). Spin around the greens was impressive, I felt like I had control on flop shots as well as chip and runs. I was playing Srixon Zstar XVs prior to this. Played first round with the MTB-X and shot 70. Ball is long and controlled off the driver. Spin off wedges is perfect. A top performer all around and at $27.99 a Dozen it’s just a no brainer. Hope Snell can keep up with demand. Buy these now!!

Ive tried every premium ball out there and most recently have exclusively played the TP5x for 2 years. Played the MTB-X for 3 rounds now and it does everything I want. Holds greens very well on both iron and wedge shots. short game spin is great and the feel off the putter was awesome as well. I couldn't see much difference on the driver vs my TP5x until I went to a launch monitor. The MTB-x spun 200 rpm lower on my drives, but where this ball sold me was the higher spin on irons. I'm a high launch, low spin player. During my iron fitting I was spinning my 6iron 4400rpm with the tp5x. tried the Mizuno rb tourx and that was spinning 5700rpm (too much for my launch). The Snell was right in the middle and my perfect fit at 5200.full swing wedge shots the snell spun about 200rpm more. Wedges I spin enough already, but the mid and short iron spin is what made me choose this ball as my go to from now on.As my first experience with a Snell golf ball, I'm totally sold on the MTB-x and hope it doesn't change. For my game I dont see how this ball can improve anymore. Great job!

I wrote a brief review after i got my pre order, now played more, and already have had 5 Doz delivered of MTB X. I started with the original MTB, then moved to MTB red, The X feels a natural improvement on them both. I know my skills haven't changed overnight - I am a reliable bogey golfer, so it must be the ball that is making a subtle difference. People still ask me what the ball is... I still give them one to try off the tee.Well done Dean and may Snell golf continue to grow and be successful.

After playing the ball marketed for ""moderate swing speed"" the past 3 seasons I decided to try something new. I purchased the MTB test pack and played them today alternating balls every 3 holes. UNBELIEVABLE! This course has a 200 yard par-3 which I have never been able to hold the green but today it was a par score by hitting a hybrid and sticking it within 20 feet. Better than that was five 1-putts of which 4 were up and downs. I didn't notice a big difference between the two balls but i liked the softer feel of the MTB Black and will be ordering the Value Pack today. I am a 25HC and shot a 86 today which tells me my short game just improved considerably by holding greens and hitting fairways with this ball. I'm glad i found this golf ball. Thanks Dean.

I'm 79 years old and I played my first MTB-X on a par five while playing with three sixty-year-olds. I out drove all three of them. I find it much longer by at least 20 yards compared to the MTB. It also spins better, stopping shots on the green within ten feet of there landing point. Because the Mantle is softer a skulled shot can leave an indentation. I will be using this ball in all my tournament play. Good Ball Dean!!!!

A friend of mine played these balls last year and really liked them. I was looking to make a change, because the price of balls is just getting crazy. He said I need try these, so I bought a dozen. All I can say is WOW. I really like this ball (MTB Black). The trajectory is perfect, the feel is soft which I like and I get good spin into greens and with my short game. I also like the feel when putting with them. It's a great all around ball and fits my game perfectly. I'm a low to mid 80's player.

I am a 65 year old golfer with some physical limitations. I was in an accident years ago and I was told I may lose my legs and if not, probably never walk again. But I fooled them and today I can still play this wonderful game of golf. As imagined, I do not tend to hit it far (200-210) and have played many brands in the past. I decided to try the MTB black and loved it. Best ball I ever played. Then I decided to get the MTB-X for kickers. Used them for first time yesterday and ""Wow""!!! The black were great but the X are excellent. Most consistent on control of the drives and approach shots held greens. A good feel and roll on putts. As indicated, I am no pro, but am a 8.6 hcp from senior tees (5700-6000 yards) and would recommend these golf balls for any level golfer. Oh, I'd love to have the strength and physical health of my legs back, but if this ball improves my game, it will anyone's. The new sheriff in town is the MTB-X as the best ball ever played. The last brand I will ever buy for sure.

I saw the video review of these balls on Golf Spy and I had to try them. I have been playing the MTB Black and Dean talked about the variation of spin between the Black and the X and I had to try them. So I play the ball yesterday in super windy conditions and the ball performed great. It penetrated the wind, gave me greater distance off the tee and with long irons, and had great feel around the greens. I alternate with a Pro V1 on a few holes and at least for me, felt no significant variation. I’m sold and glad I pulled the trigger to try them out.

72 year old with a 12 cap. Have played Titleist for many years, almost exclusively the NXT Tour and NXT Tour Soft. With my slower swing speed ProV1 and ProV1x were not a good fit at all. Was left with no option as of last year when they discontinued both and marketed the new Tour Soft replacement, which I found to be - unresponsive, I guess is the word I would use. Didn't carry nearly as well, and the feel around the green was a big letdown. Picked up a test pack of MTBs. Noticed a difference right away while testing the MTB-X, but noticed a significant difference with the MTB Black. Got 12 to 15 yards more carry, and another 10 yard increase in roll, which may also had something to do with the course finally drying out a little. Ball felt great on the clubface. Was able to compress it to my liking with it's lower ratio of 75-80 as opposed to the X's 85-90. There is a little difference in feel with the putter which took me a few holes to compensate for, but once I got used to it it became a non-factor. The only downside I can see so far is that after one round with it I put it in the shag bag because it was a little beat up, but I think that could be because I switched to Vokey SM6 wedges, which I'm told are notoriously hard on balls. I can live with that when considering the improvement in distance and control. I'm sold. MTB Black is my new ball. It's a no-brainer.

I’m 63 years old and fight a slice. I hit it far enough that I benefit from the distance the proV1 gives but it sure does spin when I come across the face. This MTB-X is so much longer and straighter! Two drives @290+ yds. One was into the wind. That is rare distance for me, I’m certain the comparative lack of spin on the driver is a great helper . This ball held tight on wedge approach shots to the green. I live on a golf course and literally have hundreds of new ball I find in by back yard and the course out back. I have dozens of Titleist, Callaways and Bridgestones. I’ve tried them all. None compare with this Snell. I would rather buy the Snell than use any other I get for free. The customer service at Snell is great. Although I had ordered two gloves, they only shipped one. Hey, mistakes happen but their resolution was great. Just a simple email and boom!, they overnighted the omitted glove by Fed-X shipment that very day. Outstanding service!

Great idea for the test pack. I ordered the Black in yellow and the X in white and took it on a solo day playing and testing. I’ve found that the MTB-Black is more my liking. The distance off the driver were similar. From a 7-iron or less, I found the softer feel of the Black better for my game. The X had a different sound and feel that was good, but not as much as liked the Black. Thanks for offering the test pack. I’ll be ordering the Black when I eventually loose these Snell’s. Putting was pretty similar to feel and roll for both Black and X. Excellent product. I did test vs a Chrome Soft and it was similar to the Black. But for the price, I’m going Snell.

I have run the gambit of trying different golf balls for many years. After trying the MTB-X I have found the ball that I plan on using from now and into the future. The distance, durability, and spin is comparable to the pro v1x. With the price point of the Snelll MTB-X being so much lower I would be foolish to buy anything else. It is long off the tee, offers great durability, and the short game spin is great. I even like the feel better that the pro v1x. The only thing that I am concerned with is that when everyone starts to play these balls I hope quality control does not suffer.. With that said give these ball a try. You won't be disappointed.

I never write reviews for anything. However after my round this week I feel like I have to. I normally play any ball I find on the course or if I am playing for something I would splurge for a ProV1 or ProV1x. I played a whole round with one MTB-X this past weekend. Can’t say that has happened in a very long time. The feel and performance of this ball was awesome. It flew high and I didn’t have any crazy flyers. With this ball being way more affordable, and with this type of performance, I don’t see me playing any other ball in the near future. Thank you Mr. Snell for an awesome product.

I consider myself a pretty decent golfer (5 handicap) and a golf equipment junkie. I tried every high end ball this year looking for the right combination of distance/speed off the tee, and short game stopping power, and feel. I was surprised by the great feel off the driver, not to soft and not too hard., more importantly the carry and distance was noticeably better. Mid irons seem to fly every bit as far if not a smidge farther than my usual pro v1 or taylormade. The wedge game was the next shot I really needed to have and the Snell delivered. Not only did it feel good it checked about as good as others but felt even better off the putter face. I feel bad for being a golf snob about balls and not trying these sooner. Also appreciated the hand written signature from Snell saying thank you.

I’ve been struggling off the tee for a couple of years, hoping for 210. But I decided to give Snell a try after the MyGolfSpy article. Played the MTB-X today for the first time and hit 250 consistently from the tee. The game is different with that extra yardage, much less stress on the second shot. One hole was 290 yards with roll! The biggest problem I had was learning how to deal with how it responded into the greens because I hit over greens a few times! The ball did stop well on the greens with wedges but I had to club down! I’m now a customer for life! THANKS DEAN!

I am a 10 handicap golfer who has recently switched from one of the well-known (and extensively advertised) tour balls to the MTB Black. I tried a test pack and found the MTB Black to be a better fit for my game than the MTB-X. Although both are excellent balls, I found that I prefer the soft feel and spin characteristics of the MTB Black. This ball goes about one club further than my previous ball, otherwise if I were to scratch the logos off and do a blind test, I couldn't tell the difference in performance. The pricing structure seals the deal for me, and the personal note from Dean that is included with each order is also a nice touch. Bottom line, if you like spending money, go with one of the better known brands. If you value tour ball quality at an affordable price, you owe it to yourself to try Snell.

Dean Snell has done what so many have tried... successfully created a premium golf ball at a reasonable price point. I am a single digit handicap, 115 mph swing speed... I have been playing the MTB Black for 4 weeks now and love the feel. I love a softer feeling ball, which is why I am using the MTB black. I have not lost ANY distance off the tee and what is more impressive is the control I have with my scoring irons. I am generating incredible spin off my mid-irons and seeing the ball check quickly on green-side chipping. Comes off the putter face like a marshmallow. Dean, thank you for designing such a great ball, all the while keeping the customer top of mind! Excellent product!

I am not a big reviewer of products but felt I should chime in on this ball after I received my order of 4 dozen yellow MTB-X balls yesterday and got out last night to try them out. The spin that I get with this ball is noticeably better than my current ball, Srixon Z Star. On a couple holes I got ""drop and stop"" spin where my ball literally ended up right next to where it landed but I also got 3-5 yards of actual backspin on some irons into greens and that is highly unusual for my game. The other benefit of a Pro V-1 is durability and holding up over the course of a round. This ball held up just as good if not better than any Pro V-1 I have played. This ball is a WINNER and at a price point that works. I want to show some of my golfing buddies this great new ball but am also worried that too many others will find out about this awesome ball and make it hard for me to get more of these babies! Nice work Dean!

The only thing I don't like about this ball (mtbx) is the noticeable seem. You can't see it in the pictures on the website, but there is a noticeable seem on the equator where the ""MTB-X"" is stamped. That said, I will purchase again. I’m a 1 handicap golfer (not to boast) but I calculate the exact distance to the yard of each of my clubs, can control the spin of my irons and wedges, and can shape my shots as needed. With that being said, I have a very fast swing speed and a high spin rate with my wedges. I’ve played ProV1 Xs, TP5 Xs, and I can honestly say that the Snell “Get Some” ball is by far the best ball I’ve played with! It carries about 8-12 yards further than those premium balls off the tee (with a driver) and has an unbelievable feel to it with my irons, wedges, and around the green. If I need to spin the ball more, I can compress this call with ease and get more spin, or, if it’d like my shot to hit and release, I can do so as well. This ball has amazing spin and check around the greens, and feels great off the face of my putter. I was given these balls as a gift and didn’t think twice about them until I played last week and was amazed how great they were!Take it from someone who knows their way around a golf course when I say that I don’t think there’s a better ball out there right now. Obviously, it’s all personal preference when it comes to golf balls, but I’ll never purchase a ProV or TP5 again, as long as these balls are around! Thanks Snell for making an incredible golf ball (even for a 1 handicap). Hopefully the design doesn’t change too much when people start to catch on to this great golf ball. Can’t wait to play my next tourney with these in my bag!

Ball seems to be exactly as described, firm, long (reduced spin) and very acceptable spin on shorter shots. If you can get over the feel of this ball over a ProV1, cannot think of a strong reason not to play as it is longer with the longer clubs with less spin, spins about the same with short irons (just a little less than ProV1 but hard to tell too much). However do note, it is NOTABLY shorter with pitch shots and punch shots, this burned me the first time out. I'm going to give it one more try and I may have to club up on short shots because I am so dialed in with my yardage, Snell MTB-X came up consistently short, yet the other attributes are so positive you have to consider. Note to Ken on first page, perhaps a Snell employee, but at 63 he did not hit 290+ yard drives, nice try. It is a very good ball, especially for the price, but not that good and neither are you Ken.

I used to use Callaway Chrome Soft balls for my 105 mph swing speed. I'm a 20 handicap (trending better :D) so when I tried the MTB-X and saw 5 yds further on my shots I was so, SO happy! That's a total of 1 club less on par fours and fives just by switching. It was the same thought I had after reading the MyGolfSpy article and trying them out. I still chunk it sometimes, I still hit it thin, fade accidentally when I do, 5 yds further then before otherwise the same! Putting has been the same that I can tell. Pitching and Irons seem to have a bit more backspin but I'm inconsistent so maybe it's in my head. It's definitely not worst.MTB-X is a huge confidence thing for me because I hit a 7 better then a 6, an 8 better then a 7 etc. It's been just a couple rounds but I'm only buying MTB-X from now on. The only downside is making sure I have them handy because I can't just buy them at a big box store. That's just awareness as a consumer, I can just track it when I clean clubs after rounds and order on my phone.Thank you Dean for daring to break the golf ball industry!
