  Don’t have empirical data but last time I played with these regularly outdriving my regular partner (we are usually tied or he out drives me). Love that but i got very little spin on greens. Again no empirical data but the ball would not stop

  The “ Get Sum” balls are ideal for playing winter golf. I have a slower swing and the ”Get Sum”golf balls give me a good amount of extra distance off of the tee plus good work ability around the green.

  I’ve been playing the MTB Black for a few years now. I bought a dozen MTB-X to try based off of the mygolfspy test. Even though my driver speed is a touch below 100 mph these days I picked up half a club increase in distance without a sacrifice in spin (driver - pw). I will likely switch permanently.

  I play both model golf balls still winter in NJ so tough to judge which one is better. Leaning toward the black. My swing speed is 95 with driver. I also may try get sum balls as well I am a 24 handicap so not sure which ball yet but will play a snell for sure any advice would be great

  I had tried some other balls going into winter. Big mistake. I lost my game. The other balls were 2 clubs shorter and unpredictable on the greens. MTB Blacks give me the ball flight my eye wants to see, the distance control I expect and the feel that I always dreamt I could have on the greens.

  The MTB Black has a good feel off the club and distance is as good as any more expensive golf balls on the market. Durability of the MTB is very good. This product is recommended for anyone that desire to play a quality golf ball at a fair price.

  I started out using the basic 2-piece ball because I prefer a low spin harder ball. I tried it (Get Sum) and loved it....was hitting some greens that I never hit before! Just on pure distance.   I am a pro who gives lessons for a living. I tell my students what i play. Beg them to try. For me mtb-x is better than a pro v bc it doesnt balloon on me ever. Distance spin all equal to or better than the pro v. . There is nothing the pro v is better in. Hands down best.

  These are some of the best balls on the market. I played four rounds the other day and I had PrV’s and the Snells in my bag. The Snell performed better than the PrV’s. Snell has become my ball of choice.

  In my opinion the MTB Black is the best performing ball you can buy at this price point. I'm a former Titleist ProV1 user because at the time it was the best all-around performance ball I had tried. Now I can get the MTB Black for at least $15/doz less and it performs at least as well. For my game it offers the best combination of distance, spin, feel, durability and value of any other ball that I've tried.

  Have been playing Snell balls for over a year. Previously played ProV1X. Easy transition at a lower cost. Consistency of the Snell balls is excellent. Stays whiter than Titleist for longer periods. I have been a single digit handicap for over 45 years.

  I was a very staunch Pro V player but decided to give the Snell a try and am thrilled with the results. There was no noticeable change in my play on the course (although my GHIN index did decrease a bit), But there was a significant increase in the money in my pocket. These balls are wonderful to play and I’m turning as many of my playing partners on to them as I can. Give them a try like I did...you won’t be disappointed. Gary

  I tried the black but the MTB-X was a superior performer for me. Better distance and better spin on the greens. I agree with one comment I read that the finish on the ball fades to a dull gray faster than other balls I've tried, but the performance doesn't change.

  I have been playing Snell balls for about a year now. I have tried many other balls and had settled on a few different balls that I would play. I bought the MTB test pack, and settled on the MTB X. I bought two dozen about two months ago. I love the performance off the tee it is consistent. The big improvement for me has been on my approach shots and around the green. The spin and feel is very comfortable and reliable when I hit it the way I should. I will continue to be a Snell Guy.

  The ball off the tee is similar to higher priced competition. Fairway metal and mid iron shots do run out consistently. Short iron and wedge shots provide nice action on the greens, typically hit, then bounce and skitter to a stop. Chipping action around the greens and out of bunkers is consistent, and when required can stop on a dime. Using a putter, just put a good stroke on the ball and it stays on line to the hole.

  Ball performs so well from tee to green. I get the same feel, performance and similar spin from MTB-X as I did from the Pro V1. Major difference is the balls outer casing doesn’t damage like others which means I can play same ball all round even with bad strikes.

  Only issue so far is scuffing off of some of the yellow. Ball still felt smooth and not cut. Saw the same thing with a Vice ball but can’t recall it happening as much with the other named brands. I’m not that good to scrutinize performance but have no complaints so far.

  First, I love the price! Great value for 5 dozen balls. About the golf balls: I played Kirkland 3 ply balls all last season and really liked their durability, but struggled to get the balls to stick when I would chip up to the greens. This winter I decided to go back to Snell, because I liked them when I used them before. Immediately, I found my shots were averaging 10 yards longer than the Kirkland balls. I may try the upper end balls to see if I can get the balls to stick the green. These do some, but not to the extent when I use more expensive balls.

  This ball is everything I’ve been told they are. Every bit as good as, if not better than much higher priced balls. These balls deliver on every level. Off the tee, the irons as well as the putter. Feel is solid with plenty of feedback.

  Played this ball most of last Summer. Fantastic feel, control, distance. BEST VALUE of anything out there! Extremely happy with Snell balls! Once you try them you will be hooked! I am!!!

  I have worn my beanie when it has been 50 degrees and below this winter in Las Vegas. It has kept my bald head warm so I can concentrate on making birdies.

  I'm 74 and I continually beat good golfers in their 50's and younger. Many times I hit it straighter and longer off the tee and get it ""up and down"" from everywhere around the greens. When they find out I'm playing Snell, they don't believe it. I tell them that they are slaves to advertising featuring endorsements from pros getting paid huge amounts for playing the big name brands.Snell MTB-X is just as good and in many ways better than balls that cost twice as much!

  Hcp 15 , 73 years old and find this ball does the job. I like the fact that Snell makes no exaggerated claims. The Get Some Ball suits me fine. I don’t have a PGA tour level game. This ball performs fine for my game. The price: GREAT!
