I was a devoted player of ProV1 golf balls. When I heard about the Snell golf ball story I gave them a try and I am so glad I did. A lot of manufacturers claim to be ""as good as"" ProV1. I tried a few of them over the years. Snell balls were the first to actually play better than the ProV1. Confidence is a crucial factor in the game of golf and when I play the Snell ball (my preference is the MTB-X) I have great confidence that the ball is going to perform. Thank you Dean Snell, job well done.

I switched to the MTB-X based on the research and testing of MyGolfSpy. I was playing a “soft” ball from another company before. With the Snell ball I noticed an immediate positive impact on distance and my approach shots have just as much (if not more) spin as ever before with good durability. In fact, the only time I’ve had to toss a ball because of a damaged cover was from hitting a cart path or rocky terrain. I buy these balls in bulk to get the even deeper discount price. For the price and quality of this ball it should be an absolute no-brainer! If you’re like me and can’t stand the feeling of throwing away money every time a tee shot goes four miles OB but still wants to play the best performing ball possible then BUY SNELL! Absolutely the best value in golf.

I play to a 14 handicap. While my personal preference is for the black, both balls are excellent. I just happen to like the feel of the black off the face of my irons better than the red. It has a softer feel and consistently stops within a few feet of where it lands, even on hard and fast greens.

In the past I always played a Titleist Pro-V but found them quite expensive. Always wanting to save money gave the Snell MTB Black a try and cannot tell any difference in the playability of them vs the Pro-V while paying about 65% of the cost of a Pro-V. So far, most of my playing buddies have not switched so it is always easy to identify my ball.

I have nothing negative to say about the snell ball. I was a long time prov1x user. I can honestly say I feel these balls are as good if not better in every category. The only inconvenience is having to order them but I understand that’s what keeps the cost down and generally they do ship in a timely manner. I also recently tried their glove and it’s just as comfortable if not better than the Titleist players glove I was using and almost $10 cheaper. I enjoy both the black and the X golf ball. I use the X most of the time but depending on the course sometimes I like the slightly softer feeling of the black as well. I will continue to buy their products indefinitely.

I enjoyed the Original MTB and was overall happy with the RED. I play in the desert and not much wind so i can anly assume the complaints from the Red ball haveing a ""ballooning"" effect was due to some wind. Maybe, maybe not. I tend to flight the ball on a lower trajectory naturally (or currently... LOL). Anyway, love the feel of the black and the stopping power.

At age 72, I have to be careful to play a ball that is 'compression right', that will help me accommodate for weather challenges (hot, cold, etc) and understands that I am ONLY interested in Maintaining Distance with each club as I can no longer gain distance ... KEY for ME. The Lower Compression ball Dean produces is definitely right for me. Example, I start at the 1st tee with a Driver Swing Speed of 90 mph by the 15th tee? I am at a 82 mph swing speed. But--KEY--my carry remains in the 237-242 range which is acceptable. Some if this relates to me getting 'tired' me getting 'more loose' with the muscles and the ball (in ways only Dean could possible explain).Tom Powers

I am extremely pleased with both the Snell MTB Black and MTB-X golf balls. I have played PRO-v's for 10 plus years and thought that nothing could compare. However, the Snell's hit as far and are as controllable as the PRO-v and the price is unbelievable affordable. Last but not least, until there are a whole lot more players using Snell, it is easier to find and spot the Snell logo when I ""occasionally"" venture into the wilds surrounding the golf course.

These balls just don't seem as good as when they first came out. I lost distance off the tee and with my irons. The spin was so so. I couldn't control the distance with my putts either. They are good balls but they don't fit my swing. I switched back to the Wilson duo and I'm scoring low again and for less money.

I’ve been playing the Snell MTB-Black (Yellow) for about 6 months. Play off 7.8 index, been playing golf for 48+ years, give or take a week. Have compared to the more expensive balls, and like it best. Has good trajectory, distance, FEEL, and adequate spin around the green! Luv the yellow as I can’t seen a white ball passed 150yds, but can follow this one with a Driver. Does feel better off the putter than most other balls as well. I am very pleased with the performance of the MTB X off the tee and I have noticed a big difference playing in the wind. These seem to cut through any breeze with ease. I no longer have 2 club winds as I am able to control trajectory well with this ball. Overall, I am more than pleased, I am impressed with this offering. Keep up the great work Dean and company!

Spent a week in Arizona golfing different courses. I compared two balls, the Snell MTB Black and Srixon Q-Star Tour both in yellow. Putting was a draw as both felt soft when struck. Approach/chip shots was a draw. Both balls performed and checked with a hop and stop or complete stop when struck well. Driver/long irons - I would give the edge to MTB Black. It seemed to be longer and hold its line a bit better. Color - I really like the Snell yellow over the Srixon. It is brighter and really shows up well on the ground and in the air.Overall - Snell MTB Black (yellow) will be my ball of choice this year. Well done Dean and crew!

I have played Chrome Soft and most recently Bridgestone BXS. I came across the interview with Dean Snell and decided to give the Snells a try. Needless to say I was totally impressed. I gave up no performance to the other balls and kept a fair bit of change in my pocket. The feel is to my liking, not clicky, a touch soft. Distance off the driver is good and the spin for little touchy, feely shots around the green is awesome. I ended up purchasing 2 more dozen at Christmas time to last my winter down in Florida and will purchase another 5 dozen for my summer back in British Columbia. I have introduced a number of players to the ball and many have made purchases. Love the product.

I have a 7 handicap and my favorite ball used to be the Bridgestone B-330. When Bridgestone changed their line a few years ago it seemed to me that none of their new balls felt the same as the B-330 and it was very difficult to find their balls on sale for under $40 per dozen. I heard about Snell and have tried the Blacks, Reds, and Xs. The MTB Black is my new ball... great feel and spin control off the driver similar to the B-330, great distance, great feel and nice spin on approach shots and a nice soft click off the putter. With those qualities on top of the great price, I have no reason to look for another golf ball. Way to go Dean and the Snell team!!

I'm 72 with a 70-80 mph swing speed. I've been able to drive these 200-240 yds. They offer decent control on the greens. They are similar to the Kirkland 3 piece and Callaway tour soft balls in feel and durability.

This ball has all the features I was looking for, softer feel than the X, length with control. Very close to a Pro V at a much better price point.

Original ball is a 5 star, this X ball just not as good. Now will have to play 24 rounds before I get to order the original.

The MTB BLACK - I am a Women’s College Golfer. I got the MTB Black and have been blown away. I am in a position to be able to play and test any ball on the market. By far the MTB BLACK is the best ball on the market. MTB BLACK gives me, distance off the tee, ball flight control and stop ability I need around the green. I am 100% confident every time I tee it up with the MTB BLACK.

G'day! ...imo, this ball is an outstanding performer in all categories and has a great feel from driver thru putter! I tested it when it first was released and has been my ball of choice since. Even if price was not an issue, I would still choose the Snell MTB-X. They also chose a great yellow color, not too bright/dull. Everyone should test this ball out! Cheers! (5 handicap)

I have been using the Snell ball ever since they first hit the market. I compared this ball to the titelist pro v and found their spin rate around the greens and on mid-iron shots to be comparable. I like the optic yellow ball color and consistency I get out of the Snell ball. I switched from titelist and also save money.. A perfect fit for me!

I’ve been playing the MTB X since they came out and Love them. I was playing the Titleist Pro V for several years.. then the Snell ball came out and I was playing the MTB Black until this X ball was released... it’s as good a ball as I’ve ever hit... I’m a 2 Handicap and know what hitting a great ball feels like

Full disclosure...I am not your average golfer. I work hard at the game even at the age of 64. I have maintained a handicap of 0 to 2 for the past thirty years. So, the golf ball I play is extremely to me. I will not play a ball that doesn't give me the performance characteristics that I need to score well. For many years, I play either the Titleist Pro-V1x or a similar ball from Callaway. When Snell first came on the scene, I stumbled upon an internet post about the ball and decided to give it a try. I was certainly skeptical since the ball was basically half the price of its competitors. So, I took the ball onto the golf course and tested it side-by-side with a Pro-V1x. After only nine holes, I was convinced that there wasn't a nickel's worth of difference between the balls...certainly not 25 dollars worth. Since that day, I have been playing a Snell ball.I was very happy when Snell came out with the MTB-X and I very quickly ordered them and put them in play. I even ordered four dozen extra to put in my shag bag for short game practice.Do yourself a favor...try the Snell ball, test it against whatever you currently play, and I think you'll be convinced that's it's the best ball on the market today, particularly for about half the price of its premium competitors. You have NOTHING TO LOSE...and quite possibly about $25 to save for every you buy.

I actually gave both the Black and the X 5 stars as I really like them both. For me the Black has a better feel, but the X does seem longer off the tee. I can play either one and be happy. I felt the same about the ProV1 and ProV1x except not at their price.

I gave 5 stars to both the Black and the X. Both are great. I like the feel of the Black best, but the X is longer off the tee. I bought the Yellow just for something different and under certain conditions it is easier for me to spot. Both balls are very good around the greens. I might give the edge to the X because I feel like I get a bit more distance off the driver
