Switched from Pro V1 to MTB Black and have played my best golf in a while. Benefitted From distance and control gains but more importantly the MTB Black’s feel and feedback really has lowered my putts per round. Lot more confident on greens.

I bought based on Mygolfspy article. Figured it couldn’t hurt to try the ball... I was not prepared for how long and consistent this ball is from tee to green. I feel like there isn’t a shot I can’t hit with it. Great ball I to the wind, Long off the tee, let’s me hit consistent # with my irons. I have 2 dozen ProVs that sat all season because I loved the Snells so much. I tell all my golf buddies about them all the time. I annoy the crap out of them, with how much I talk the ball up. This is just as good, and in my opinion better than any premium ball out there. The value and customer service are top notch. Playing this ball consistently has been a leap forward in my game. Wish I would have bought them sooner, and it’s all I’ll game this coming season.

One of the longest balls I have hit since I was able to come back to playing after a year and a half out due to illness. I also started spinning the ball with my wedges so I don’t get the big bounces. This is something i never thought I would be able to do again since I turned 68.

1) I bought 2 boxes and have used 11/2 so far. So I think I’ve given them a fair trial2) the performance is comparable to my Pro V1’s3) I have had what appears to be a dent (not a cut but a dent) on 4-5 of them4) The Snell name is scarred or disfigured on many of them. I like them and they’re great values, but I haven’t experienced these things with Pro V1’s

I played these hoping for an ball competitive to srixon q star tour and pro v1. The green side experience is similar. The putting experience favors Snell. The driving experience favors Snell. The iron distance and stopping experience is tied with pro v1. This for what is worth from a 8 hdcp in Arizona with 100 rounds per year. Oh and cover durability for chea guys like me is comparable to q star tour. Thanks from AZ.

I have been playing Snell golf balls for about 8 months now and love them. The drives are giving me a a more predictable ball flight which I didn't have with my last ball I played. The feel on picth and chips is soft and I get very consistent spin rates. Great ball for me.

I’m a +1 and had been faithful to ProV1x’s for years. Then the TP5 proved to be much better in the wind for me. I tried a few of the other direct to consumer balls like Vice, but wasn’t impressed with spin rates around the green, and had way too much spin with my driver. The Snell has been my favorite ball ever. I had my first hole in one last year with one (slam dunk from 209), and am incredibly happy with their performance in the wind. On top of all that, they sound better. It feels firm, but sounds soft. I bought 5 dozen more for this year and honestly don’t care to try another ball this year. Great job Snell!

I gave the MTB-X a try based on the MGS testing and I would say I noticed a significant difference around the green, especially on 150yard (9 iron) and in approach shots. They stop.I can' say that I noticed any extra difference in my driver distance with my 100-104mph swing speed over my current ball (Zstar VX) but that could partially also be down to cold/wet Seattle weather.I love the yellow which is now out of stock for the rest of the spring 2020 I hear so that is a disappointment but overall a great ball and a value price.

I have been using the Get Sum yellow for a few years now. They seem to be a little better than the Callaway super soft that I had been using. I use them mostly in the cool weather and another type when it gets warm to hot. I have used the MTB balls and although they are a good ball I get similar performance from the E6 balls. E6 balls are a less expensive so that is my other go to ball. Around here the E6 goes for around $22 a dozen so that is what I use but do keep an eye out for the Snell sales for the MTB and the Get Sum

I use different balls depending on the outside temperature. When I did some research on snell I was surprised, very surprised. What I mean by research is by playing the balls in different conditions. BTW, all my golf buddies think I'm crazy about staying with 1 ball (temperature dependant). Most of them reach into their bag and hit whatever comes out, ouch! What I found is Snell was the best ball I ever played in all weather conditions, period! I can work it, hit it long, and stop it on the green. I can buy any ball I want but I choose to play a ball that works and that is Snell!!!!

I was skeptical of the reviews and claims at first try i thought the ball felt too hard and would not perform but boy was i wrong....Around the green though it felt harder then my previous ball it spun off the wedges and stopping the ball was not an issue. I gained 10 yards with all clubs I am guessing my old ball TaylorMade Project A was softer and spun more so it could explain the distance gains. Either way I was sold and really like the yellow color as well...don't see myself changing balls anytime soon unless they release something better.

The MTB-X balls have a more “clicky” sound than Pro V1. Be prepared for a sound that comes with a harder ball. It’s not a swoosh sound like on a soft ball or Pro V1. I find them to be great quality. My game had gotten better and so I’m losing few balls. It’s not uncommon to play with the same balls for multiple rounds and they hold up nicely. I’m personally a fan of the optic yellow balls. I will keep buying them!!
