This app is amazing! Seriously cannot give it enough praises! If I could give it 100 stars I would. I have a 4 year old that I am homeschooling who went from only knowing her letters to knowing how to read short words in just a few weeks. She loves that she can do reading eggs, math seeds and fast phonics to switch it up. Her knowledge of numbers and counting is also growing so fast. My 6 year old is behind in 1st grade with her reading and math so I have been making her try this app out everyday. She actually loves it. It has been giving her confidence in reading and forming words. The best part about this app is when I tell my girls its time for reading eggs they don't get bummed out or try to get out of it. They actually have fun learning with this app. We have tried ALOT of school apps and none of them come close to reading eggs. Thank you reading eggs!

I started homeschooling and felt that the kids were missing some fun in their learning. My friend suggested reading eggs and it was just what we were missing. You start at each child's level so they build skills they may be missing. My oldest struggled with focus in school and would get very frustrated, adding this she feels she's playing a game and is able to focus so it helps me as a mom and their teacher and helps my kids in the long run !

I have tried different programs and reading Eggs has been the best. My granddaughter was struggling with site words and since she's been doing Reading Eggs, she has come a long way. I love the Fast Phonics in the library. My students get good practice with the phonics they need, and it also tests their comprehension with the quiz at the end. The site is very engaging and it is now my awesome partner in phonics instruction in the classroom.

I love the idea of this program however, my children do not do a lot of technology therefore we do not have expensive tablets for them. The apps were unable to be loaded to their tablets. I do not agree with my kids having open internet access, so with no other choice as to how to be on Readingeggs, we canceled our membership.

My 4 year old son has enjoyed this new way of learning SO much. He is super excited when it's time for Reading Eggs! I like that the navigation of the map is easy to learn and that I don't need to help him figure out where to look for things, he picked it up fairly quickly. His older siblings like to cheer him on as he learns new letter sounds and collects the cute animal critters along the way. My son is also excited to share with Daddy after he is home from work, when he is finished with the lessons. I am thrilled to see him learning in this fun, creative way that teaches computer skills, like using a mouse. We don't have a tablet, so he is learning to control his motor skills as well as recognizing letters! Thank you Reading Eggs!!!

I found it difficult to find information as to how it worked. A summary as to what to expect step by step from each game would be helpful Maybe there is but I haven't found it. My child enjoys the games and is easily identifying the letter sounds.

It is a great learning app with a couple flaws. When we try to play it on our newer ipad the game mutes itself and you cannot undo it. I tried turning it off and on, redownloading it and restarting the ipad. My daughter redid the assessment test 5 times...the other issue we have found is getting explanation for activities. We can't get it to repeat directions if she missed something.

We believe sound issues with Apple devices to be resolved with this latest update, but let us know if the issue persists! Regarding the directions, from within the lesson you can always click the arrow near the left of your screen, then select "home" at the bottom of the drop-down menu and re-enter the lesson if you need to hear the directions at the beginning again. The lessons are good, a little difficult for a beginner 4 year old, not varied enough, need more repeat of different types of games on one letter before moving to next. Plus, each egg contains the same “games” - so far. The picture word match, is not a favourite. Once that comes up, I lose him, because he has to do the same thing twice. Don’t have them do the same thing twice right after each other. It’s not engaging after the first time, it’s frustrating. So You take a 4 year old pretty quick. But I know I can repeat lessons. Biggest thing right now is The library does not have nearly enough books and they are confusing to find, you have them ordered by age or Lexie level - I put age 5 and a few or nothing shows up, either I am doing something wrong or your library is vary sparse. You really need a GOOD library to supplement the lessons, Epic is a perfect example. No one wants to have to pay for two apps. But we can’t use your library for books, not robust enough. I’d say put some money into your library for a good return on investment and keeping people subscribed, parents read to their kids at night.

In my own observation to my daughter using the readingeggs.com is very helpful and she learns so fast and having fun while at the same time she's learning. She understand the sentence and she's learning counting numbers, stories and much more like colors , letters,pronouncing words. The good thing is learning at the same time my daughter is having fun.

Love! Love! Love this program! My 3 and 6 y/o children are excelling in their phonics and reading skills. My 9 y/o asks to play Reading Eggs in his spare time. Besides the reading lessons, there is so much more that we’ve enjoyed as a family like the science videos and Eggsperts cartoon. My only wish is that there were an app for their tablets so they can play Reading Eggs on the go! Well done!

I love Reading Eggs! My most favorite part is when the characters state the sound of the letter for my child to find. Teaching those sounds are so important and preps them for reading!! It really supports what my child is learning in class. There are also free worksheets that I can print out and give as a reinforcer to what is being taught! My younger ones even have a place for them to play. Thank you Reading Eggs.

We have been using Reading Eggs for over a week now. We use it in addition to our homeschool curriculum. My kids love it. It's easy to navigate and fun! We use the workbooks alongside the online lessons. I highly recommend Reading Eggs. We have used other learning sites with little success. Starting homeschooling I used Horizon reading curriculum bc my daughter is dyslexic and it was a suggested curriculum, it was expensive and we absolutely hated it. It was a struggle to get my daughter to do it everyday. Then a friend told us about Reading Eggs, we did the free trail (still using the free trail) and it has been amazing! She loves to earn eggs to create her apartment, she loves the stadium and I love the 5 components of reading all built into one program. I have my masters and endorsement as a reading specialist so I love the one it was create and the vocabulary being introduce then also in the reading text. The few things I don’t like are: There is some errors If my daughter gets something wrong I wish there was a noise that indicated that (many times she doesn’t want me to sit with her, but then when she gets something wrong I don’t know). All in all, I would definitely recommend! Also- I love the worksheets that you can print to go alongside!

My 7 year old son who has ASD was terribly behind in reading. I'm talking major regression. Since starting Reading eggs in October, he is finally getting back on track, and I'm happy to say almost on grade level. So grateful to have found this program. We really love the program but we won't be continuing with a subscription. My husband and I think many of the songs and song graphics are very inappropriate for our child. Like "Jumping up and down until our pants fall down" and the Pirates pants fall down showing his boxers.

The reading Eggs suite of products is amazing. During homeschooling related to covid school closures, I got to use it with my kindergartener. He was just learning phonics in school, using word lists and sound charts. When Reading Eggs came into the picture, he even asked to get on Fast Phonics and Reading Eggs, rather than dreading it. That child learn to read very quickly with the reinforcement of this dynamic, user-friendly, fully loaded program that is so affordable. I now have my youngest grandson on it, as he begins to navigate learning phonics and reading as well. He also asks to do it even after a day of regular school. I cannot say enough good things about this product. The printables are amazing to reinforce what they learn online and to give an option for no- screen days. The fact that multiple children can share the program within a family is wonderful since the older of the two grandsons now still looks through the book Library and even still asks to do Math Seeds. This program rocks. It is also nice that I can send the progress reports to the children's teachers so they can see what I'm doing at home to supplement their classroom activity. This program is used in at my kids' elementary school for my 2nd grader so I purchased it to start developing literacy skills for my 5 year old and it has been amazing. My son’s history with asthma and the current pandemic means he has missed a lot of school. He isn’t naturally drawn to reading, writing or math and I was struggling to find ways to encourage any of these activities. I tried Kahn Academy, scholastic learning books, Kumon, writing without tears, Bob’s books, @busytoddler (who I adore) and so much more. They were all helpful but nothing really took for him specifically until…Reading Eggs has been the only learning tool that he’s really taken to. We’re so pleased with his progress and so grateful for this wonderful tool. My second child also loves reading eggs and is a total self learner. It has been a game changer for my kids, particularly so during the pandemic. I am forever grateful to the Mom who referred me to Reading Eggs. Please come out with some more Spanish language learning tools :) I love Reading Eggs because my kids love it!

I'm only giving this a three because of the download availability of this app. I really love this app and it is really helping my two oldest children but I hate having to give up my phone for them to be able to use the app. I recently purchased a tablet for them to use but the app is not available on the tablet which was a bummer as that was the whole reason behind purchasing the tablet. I hope one day the app is available for more devices.

Children of color have a difficult time picking out an avatar that looks like them... very limiting in the shading...so they are forced to pick some type of animal... this is borderline offensive. The activities are creative but, are repetitive ... once the child has excelled through 1-2 levels they are bored quickly because it is the same exact type of activities they just completed but, just with different vocabulary or higher numbers... there is a need for variety at every level... I do recognize the growth and look forward to more growth...

I started reading eggs when my daughter’s first grade teacher told me she was still reading at a kindergarten level. While I knew she was struggling some, I did not know she was months or maybe 1/2 a year behind. After about 10 weeks with Reading Eggs at home, she’s on level! Her teacher can’t believe the difference! We will continue to supplement her school time with Reading Eggs at home because this program is what made her successful!

Absolutely love this app!!! It is filled with fun and awesomeness. My 2 year old enjoys it too... He spends hours on it. His tablet recently broke so we missed out on a couple of days, but we're back and loving it. He's a smart boy and this app really allows him to utilise what he's learnt to date. It also nurtures and appreciates his skills and encourages him to do better, to keep trying and improving. But in essence, it is a must have, a really great addition to any child's life. It is not just educational, it is packed with fun too. Highly recommended.

My kids LOVE reading eggs. However, parts of the program are producing the sounds wrong. For example, the program voices unvoiced sounds. For sounds /h/ and /t/ the program says, “huh” and “tuh.” I assume it is this way for other unvoiced sounds, but have not yet explored the program in depth. Voicing unvoiced sounds is a big problem for a lot of kiddos who are learning to read and who have difficulty reading. I hope they make the necessary changes because the program is excellent aside from those substantial errors.

My daughter was really struggling with reading (6) to the point of concern. Within the first day of using the app, she was able to identify and sound out small words. She enjoys playing the games and realizing she is capable. I am so glad I found this app. 100% recommend. Most of the worksheets are extremely helpful though the printing worksheets threw her off a bit due to shape of the letters vs what she is learning in school. Not sure if the difference (swoop tails) is a CAD vs US thing or not.

Great educational program. Very honest and simple without alot of the "extra" unnecessary thing which I love how strait to the point the material is. The only thing I would improve would be the accessibility of the lessons and assessment. It give alot of options initially and I feel "unlocking" play or free mode would be a great incentive for little ones. There is no an app for Android Google play that I haven't seen yet and that would make a big difference for our family. However I would definitely purchase this subscription again because it has a great lessons that build on eachother and its a wonderful switch from other adulational software.

Some of the voices are American. For an Australian program it is annoying as unfortunately most media my child consumes is American, and this just adds more but I have to pay for it. My child enjoys the games but the constant egg ding ding noise reminds me of the sound rewards employed by pokies that leads to addiction. When my child finishes a level there is one noise where the eggs come but soon after there is a second which is not associated with anything. It is a decent program and has a wide array of activities which keeps my child interested and hopefully will be able to read a bit.

I signed up for a 30 day free trial. The volume didn’t work in the app half the time. The app kept glitching and the activities where odd. I was told that I no longer had access after about a week and a half. My daughter never asked to do this app. I’ve heard great things but I was not impressed at all.

We signed up for the 30 day trial of Reading Eggs and there were some things we liked a lot and others that made the experience lack luster overall. I was using the site as a supplement to what we already do in our homeschooling routine and we enjoyed the variety of activities! We never earned enough points for the girls to change their avatar and having used ABC Mouse in the past, this was something that they asked about each time we logged on. Again we were only supplementing so we weren’t on for lengthy times or each and everyday really. The letter Ss they did NOT enjoy at all!! The spider looked scary according to them and when I saw a drooling, giant spider with all those eyes…I also was put off. It was REALLY hard to convince them to want to use the program after that. But I did enjoy getting into some of the smaller vocabulary words. Maybe I should have started there and we would have had a better experience. I should have done the assessment because I think they may could have started at a different place to be challenged more but I was thinking let’s start from the beginning to really evaluate and review what they may already know. I enjoyed the parent directed emails with additional activities and seeing where they had strong skills that were evaluated by their ability to complete activities.

The activities are so engaging. My two year old loves it and so does my 5 year old. My 5 year old spends all day sounding out words wherever we are. She loves the lessons and the surprises that come with it. My 2 year old likes the books and videos and has done amazing with the little activities geared for his attention span. There are a couple things we are still trying to navigate through and try to figure out. It has been hard to figure out how to “use” the stars and coins she earns to “buy” things. Maybe as we spend more time looking we can figure it out. She really enjoys her Reading Eggs. In her fast phonics activities, she loves the flying fur balls. They crack her up as well as helping her learn.

I love the app for my granddaughter she hasn’t started school yet and I am hoping this will help her my biggest problem is finding the time to work with her but with the app I can work with her when I get the time and it’s fun once I get her to do it she has fun and I know she’s learning Floyd

We have tried a few different programs and products to help our son learn. He is a very reluctant learner unless it is something he wants to learn. He could probably get a phD in dinosaurs or gardening but letters and numbers don't have a lot of interest....This program has grabbed his interest and he is doing awesome....he points out sounds now when we are out. He is in Kindergarten but this is helping him way more than his Kindergarten phonics program is. I just hope it continues to help him

This program has been very helpful for my 1st grader. She’s struggles with letter sounds/recognition and it frustrated her to ever get any of them wrong. This program is rewarding and it can be self-taught enough that she doesn’t feel like a failure when she gets something wrong. The only part I don’t like is how often the program reads to her: I would like her to have to sound the words out a bit more often/for it to be a little harder to guess the answers. she’s only been using it for one month so maybe it’ll be more challenging as she progresses. It’s hard for me to not be more hands on with her reading, as I taught my older three kids to read and it seems a computer is teaching this one.

My 5 year old son went from not knowing how to read to reading in about 2-3 weeks and that’s only about 2-3x a week, 20 min each session. He’s never been so engaged and motivated. The game helps kids feel encouraged and the graphics and cartoons are so interactive. He only lives Fast Phonics though. He doesn’t feel like the other programs stimulate him enough but I still encourage him to try just to “level up,” and also get a prize from Mom!

Incredible! I love this program as much as my kids! It is a win, win, win. Get it! It's worth the money. My 5 year old spent 3 hours on the math and when I asked her to come eat she begged for more time!!! Phonics are great - I love the Yeti and fur ball characters. Kids are 4, 5, 10 and all of them enjoy this program (12 is probably too old, unless there is a learning gap you are trying to correct).
