  Honestly i just spent over an hour… Honestly i just spent over an hour trying to contact IRS to just ask a simple question, ""do i need to file a paper return for 2016?"" now i went through this ""free"" process & had to pay, again not knowing weather it is right/excepted. To bad we cannot get help from our government when it comes to filing our returns, actual help not what you might consider assistance...An average rating is quite honestly very optimistic!!!

If you decide to use an online company, you will have to mail the tax return, although, the IRS does not explicitly state this.
