Good products at fair prices. Problem was that after 3 weeks I had not received the order nor any indication it had been shipped. There is no way to get order status online so I called and was told that they had a tracking number for me. When I checked the number, it had only been assigned - no product had been shipped. I asked if they send an email with shipping info when an order is filled. He said they do if they have the item in stock, but not if it is drop shipped from the manufacturer - which it was in my case. Later that day, my credit card was charged (since the per-authorization they did the day of the order had expired) and I received the order 3 days later. My order clearly fell in a crack. If I had not called, I still wouldn't have it.

Tried to order on Black Friday, 26-Nov, but website checkout wouldn't work. Ordered by phone but couldn't get shopping costs. Email with shipping added went to Spam folder. In the meantime I had ordered on website on Monday, 29-Nov. Found email next day. Shipping in email was more than twice that from website. Cancelled phone order (by phone). Long frustrating story, but several phone calls and false promises later, I finally picked up order at XPO terminal in Fort Worth on 30-Dec, 5 days late for Christmas. Very poor online performance throughout for both Penn Tool and XPO Logistics. Phone experiences all pleasant but poor follow through on promises. Great product at decent price but terrible order experience. Omicron COVID may have played some part but nowhere near enough to account for the fulfillment and communication issues.

They increased the price of an item on my order AFTER the order was committed and charged my card more than my order confirmation showed. They also dropped an item off my order with a vague message that made it sound like it was backordered, but it was really cancelled. It took numerous phone calls to straighten out. I got my tracking number 3 days after delivery! They did not reply to emails so I had to call . . . . repeatedly. Terry treated me like I was out of line for expecting them to communicate changes. They were extremely disorganized and very annoyed that I insisted they honor the terms of the order. It wasn't much money -- just a routine price increase, but handled in a slimy, dishonest manner. It was a truly rotten experience. If you order from them, CHECK YOUR INVOICE AGAINST YOUR ORDER CAREFULLY! The deal you get may not be what you agreed to.

The site is outdated, but still manageable. I called about a week or two after my order was placed and was told that the order was cancelled somehow. No reason was given, so I re-submitted the order and it still took a long time to get to me. It is difficult to write this review. Customer service has been up and down. I sent part numbers I wished to order one was out of stock which is fine, the other items they provided me links to the items unfortunatly one Item they did not send the right link and I did not notice. When I received the order I immediantly contacted them to get the right items and send back the incorrect ones. I have sent repeated emails and get replies that they are working with the supplier to correct the order. This process is taking way to long. I am trying to be patient.

I ordered an air grinder and a twist drill set. I got an email that the grinder was no longer available. One thing that I guess I had gotten used to when ordering from other places was a tracking number and shipping confirmation, none were provided. Same as if I had called in the order and mailed a check 20 years ago. When I opened the box of drills several were scattered in the box, three were missing entirely. Pictured was the bright finish drills that I wanted, what was shipped was black coated drill. I called Penn Tool about the missing drills, and was promised a call back in a couple hours. As of this writing, three days have passed and no call back. I suggested that they replace only the three missing drills, as shipping would be much cheaper and faster than return and reshipping, not to mention the lack of faith that the order would be inspected prior to shipping. No confirmation of what is being done to correct the problem of the missing drills as of yet.

I initially received only one guide and the packing slip, instead of indicating that one had shipped and three were backordered it only showed one of one, leaving me to wonder when or if the other three were going to be coming. Penntoolco did a great job with my order, except for one thing: styrofoam peanuts! Please stop using this hard-to-recycle packing material! There are so many paper-based packing products that work just as well and don't require me to pay money and go out of my way to get it recycled. It's 2021, there's a trash island in the Pacific, the West Coast burns every summer, and it's time to stop using styrofoam.

I don't have an issue with Penn Tool directly, but felt misled regarding availability of the product I purchased. I understand there is a shipping crisis (political?) and backlogs are part of business these days, but I ordered this part six weeks before I actually needed it and there was no indication of a shipping delay during the purchasing process. Once the order was processed, I was disappointed to hear that it will be 8-10 weeks before I receive the product. I may have purchased it anyway, but would have considered other options sooner for the job I planned to use it for. It definitely made my job harder than necessary. I can't rate the product as I still have not received it.

Customer service was great, however we ordered the material on 10/26/21 expecting delivery on 11/02/21 and did not actually receive the item until 11/19/21, almost a month later. I know things are tough to come by right now but in order to figure out why we hadn't received our parts yet I had to call and talk to multiple service reps before I was given an explanation. Everyone was very friendly however if my order was going to be delayed, it would have been nice to know that either through email or phone call instead of me having to hunt down the answer.

Ordered 2 chest and received both but found each to have the veneer broken on one drawer, evern though they were well packed - these were presents for our son-in-laws so did not want to return for the repairable damage - repaired in our wood shop - other than now undetectable drawer damage the chest are bueatiful and now I want one for myself - Penn was very friendly and helpful in placing the order. I ordered and paid for a Gesrtner case at their listed price. 2 weeks passed & when I called customer service I was told the price had increased approx. $60 and my order was placed on hold. I approved the price increase & was told my item would be shipped in a few days. It was not. I contacted customer service a week later and was told again the item would ship soon & I would receive shipping/tracking info. Approx. 5 weeks after placing the order the case arrived on my doorstep with no advance shipping notice. I purchased this item from Penn Tool Co. because the price was good and they advertised Veteran owned, based in the US. My chief complaint is the price increase after I ordered and paid for the item and the terrible communication by Penn Tool Co.

First off let it be known, I love and respect our Veterans, and Thank them for their service, so this is just constructive criticism. The navigation of the site is fine. I ordered a simple punch and die on October 18 and just received it on Nov. 10. I inquired about a week later and was told it was shipped. I inquired again on Nov 5 and was told it will ship on Nov 8. I was not given any particular reason, nor did I ask. In addition, the website order status does not keep up and still indicates "awaiting shipment".

Don't buy from Penn Tool if you need your equipment to arrive in a timely manner... unless you consider 2 weeks acceptable. The 3 items I ordered did not show "out of stock". However, Penn Tool had to drop ship them from the manufacturer to the Penn Tool warehouse... then ship to me. Very deceptive. Placed order on October 11th and received items October 23rd. There are plenty of other online retailers that could have had the items on my doorstep with 3 business days. The only redeeming part of my purchase was that the 2 indicators and mag base were as described, but that is due to the manufacturers making quality equipment... not Penn Tool

Before I ordered I called and asked what the availability of every piece that I needed. I was told by someone at your company that everything was in stock and if I ordered within 24 hrs. I would receive everything in 1 week. I ordered within 24 hrs. The project I quoted based on the tools I ordered from your company was TIME SENSITIVE. YOU FAILED MISERABLY. The order was over a week late. Then someone from your company wanted more money for shipping! More money for something that did not arrive on time??? LUDICROUS!!! I thought they were exceptionally poor on customer service. They don't or won't reply to questions you might have about your order. I had two items ordered and it took them two weeks to tell me they were no longer available and another week before they decided to return my money and only after I had to ask for it and the items I wanted to buy are still shown on their website. Too many other places value customer service to put up this.

I have neither received the products nor had any notification of order status. I contacted Penntool and I was put on hold for 15 minutes where I finally disconnected call. I strongly recommend against doing business with them.
