  Exceptional service. We have moved so many times and I have to say that Humboldt is the best moving company that we have ever used. Their customer service from the time the owners came to our house, very fair pricing, the driver and staff, all was top rate. No matter where we move in the future, Humboldt will be our first choice.

  Competitive pricing, attentive to needs, works with 3rd party to pack and unpack specialty items, such as a grandfather clock, crews were easy to work with, packed and delivered just over 1000 miles within one week using 40 feet of a 50 foot trailer. I would use them again.

  Our move was delayed by the weather, which we initially understood but then the next day they kept delaying our start time. The movers didn’t arrive until 2pm when we were originally told 9am. It made us extremely late for our cross country move and put us off to a bad start. Then the person organizing the move did not communicate well with the driver moving our stuff cross country, so they did not have our apartment number and we’re surprised that we were on the third floor, even though I previously provided this information. Due to this experience, I will not use North American again. We also had items damaged and there was no follow up as promised from the office after our move.

  Overall very well done. All information straight forward and clear with no surprises of schedule and cost. Only disappointment was that the mover that reassembled my bicycle not as experienced as mover that disassembled. Fenders are bent and twisted.

  Everyone was great. I had to postpone my move due to a family tragedy, and they were very accommodating. Everything made it unbroken and everything that needed to be put back together was done properly. They were on time and took great care of my belongings.

  From the estimate through to the delivery stages of this long distance move from CT to TN, this was a pretty seamless process. I had great crews in both ends of the trip and I even came in way under the estimated weight, which means I saved a lot of money. I really appreciated the honesty and integrity of this company and would highly recommend them.

  My initial contact with the rep doing the walk through was great. It went a little downhill from there. I was supposed to get a pick up date confirmation two weeks before my move. After constant badgering, I finally received confirmation two days before they were coming to pick up. They then requested to push back a couple days after I had explained several times we were on a strict timeline. This timeline was given from first communication. Our things were supposed to arrive in a three day window. They called and wanted to reschedule delivery to a later date even after we had confirmed that we were were leaving for a week and would be unable to receive out items. Items that did not need to be take apart were taken apart. We are still trying to find everything. I went with this company because they were national and reputable but were a disappointment. I will not use this company again.

  Can’t say enough good things about my moving team. From Dayan in the office, Fannie on packing and Frank on the truck it was a flawless and streamlined experience. Everything went smoothly and my household was delivered less than 24 hours from loading 500 miles away from my new home. Would not hesitate to use again and have already recommended them to a friend.

  We had issues with our driver. Specifically, he wanted to do all of our paperwork electronically, which is fine, but he would skip ahead to the signature sections so we were unable to read what we were signing. We reported this on the front end of our move, but saw no improvement at delivery. Also, our move coordinator didn’t follow through with contacting us on 3 different occasions when she said she would. We are still trying to resolve some issues with our move. That said, the rep who did our estimate was excellent as was the packing team and the crew who loaded and unloaded our goods.

  loading took a lot longer than I expected. Not all furniture was reassembled and my tv stand was put together incorrectly with the glass unsecured which fell and cracked when I tried to move it. Boxes marked heavy were placed on top of other boxes crushing them. My treadmill was supposed to be reassembled but this was not set up so I had to cancel this. They gave me a checklist to mark off the boxes there were several not checked but they said it was probably because we were going too fast but I had to sign the papers, I assume this means I accept that these boxes are missing. The movers were friendly enough but I paid a lot of money but don't think it was worth it.

  Our move went great from the time Dan Garrrat came to give us a quote to the delivery of our belongings to our home almost 3000 mi away. Trinni the hauler showed up the day expected and he and the crew were great to work with. No damage was done during the move to either home or to any of our belongings. Trinni kept us informed as to when he would arrive. His attitude about his work was so wonderful which decreased our stress level too. I would highly recommend Moda,North American Moving services. we had a great experience.

  Julius the driver was great. Very disappointed the estimator was so off on the move as it required two separate moves which was horrible. Office manager is Phoenix was a tyrant and unprofessional when I attempted to work a solution to the second truck move. My coordinator Karen was very helpful.

  Goods were picked up on time and done well. But delivery was late, two boxes were missing, and, so far, NAMS's efforts to locate the missing boxes are half hearted at best. I expected more when I paid premium money to hire what was supposed to be one of the more reputable moving companies.

  The men & woman at both the loading and unloading sites were excellent. The were hard working and courteous and a pleasure to work with. The leads, Jay and Javier were wonderful to work with. The only issue was that a hole was out in our wall with a piece of furniture. I have left a message at corporate office and have yet to speak with someone about compensation. I would recommend your company to our friend etc who are movin. Thank you!

  North American Moving Services moved our household goods from Boston, Massachusetts to Omaha, Nebraska. The whole process went flawlessly. Our possessions arrived in the same shape that they left Boston. The over-the-road driver Michael and Matt the cargo handler were truly top-notch hands. We are pleased with North American’s commitment to getting our household goods here safe and on time.

  Two previous moves using North American Moving Services proved to me that they were capable of exceeding expectations and they once again proved that to be true! My most recent move was interstate and any pre-move stress quickly subsided when the packing and loading day began with a team of three working efficiently, thoughtfully and carefully. The next day unloading was handled equally well by the same team of three - Jose, Gerard and Herman, with all protocols in my new community being acknowledged accordingly! Professional, efficient and careful throughout, I would definitely recommend North American for anyone considering a nearby or long-distance move....thank you!

  Front end packing and moving company, Republic Moving, was horrible. Packers were totally disorganized, tried to charge me more than my “not to exceed”contract, and drove off and left many boxes and containers they were supposed to move. Absolutely would never use them again. Allied moved my furniture from storage in CA to ID. They were in time, courteous and had a great local crew who unloaded my furniture. I would have given Allied a 5 star rating had the first packing and moving company not been involv d.

  I’ve lived in 13 states and this was the worst move I’ve ever had. For some reason they wrapped my furniture when it was picked up but decided to unwrap everything before putting them in the truck to deliver at my new place (they used 2 different trucks). When the truck arrived and the back doors were opened I saw that all of my furniture was unwrapped and exposed. When I asked the driver what happened he said that this was how it was given to him. As such, a brand new desk was damaged, my couch was soiled, and the wheels on my desk chair were also damaged. They promised that my belongings would be protected but obviously made no effort to do so. In addition, one of the delivery men was very rude and hostile which made me very uncomfortable. As a single woman, I find that behavior completely unacceptable and disturbing. I deeply regret choosing North American and will never use them again.

  I'm very disappointed with the service we received. Do you know how terrible it is sleeping on air mattresses during Christmas, freezing because all of your stuff was packed away with a company that promised us a delivery time? The driver had called and told us he would deliver that Wednesday, then would try for Friday (which he didn't). It then showed up six days after the latest possible time point in thw window. The group unloading our packages was throwing boxes around and made a giant mess of our bathroom (it took considerable cleaning). I am incredibly dissatisfied with your service. I would also recommend that your dispatchers also not tell people how it could be worse and that you have other customers with month long delays. I was also not thrilled that when I showed the driver how items had been bent or ruined he tried to bend them back and further damaged the material. Moreover when I expressed these concerns to employees I didn't even receive an acknowledgement of what happened. Filing claims is a nightmare, I have low expectations for ang compensation. We spent over $14k for a service that showed up late, provided terrible customer service and still broken many of our items.

  I was told they would protect floors, door frames and banisters when they picked up goods. They did not but, they were careful not to damage anything. Upon delivery they covered floors and that was good because it was raining.

  Absolutely terrible experience. From start to finish we were lied to by nearly every member of the company we spoke with. Our goods arrived 19 days late with numerous items damaged, destroyed or missing. The company forced us to submit copious amounts of paperwork and claim forms to try and get back any form of compensation and we had to keep going back to get more because they consistently short changed us for all the damages. It took over seven months of our diligence to finally get through all the paperwork and we ended up getting little for our suffering. Very little in the way of apology. All of management avoided us and would never speak to us. This was deplorable and completely unprofessional conduct at every level beginning with the slick salesman to the know-it-all reps to the strongarm tough guy tactics supervisor to the non-responsive executives. All of North American Moving Services including Republic Moving and Storage in San Diego were the worst. I would NEVER recommend them nor use them for anything in the future.

  Overall the movers were good and the office was very responsive to my questions. I had to move my date because of a delay in my close of escrow and they were very accommodating. The pick up went smoothly and my only complaint about delivery was that they were planning to put things back only where they picked them up from. But I had been packing and storing in my garage for months in advance and wanted items put into appropriate rooms, they wanted to just put them into the garage. Once I expressed concern about this the movers did put most items into appropriate rooms. The movers were friendly and very professional. While I have still not opened all of the boxes, I have found only one broken item, a drinking glass. Everything else has been in very good condition. After having read the horror stories other folks have gone through I can say that I was pleasantly surprised by my experience and can recommend Andy's Transfers, the North American company in LA, for any long distance moves.

  The gentleman who booked the move and the move coordinator were very nice and helpful. The driver was not good. He stated that he was not aware that he was supposed to pack. I had more damage to packed items and furniture than I ever have had after many many moves. He also gave me the option of delivering on the day promised, just 3 hours late or next day. This was a interstate move. His helpers on both ends of the trip were very helpful and tried to make up for the driver’s shortcomings.

  Outstanding from the initial contact with Meghan through the packing, loading, 100 days of storage and final delivery in Georgia on Jan 23rd. Our packers were terrific--we're unpacking boxes now and so far, so good! Our driver and his crew were the best we've had over 10 long distance moves! And, working with Nona and the office staff was seamless.

  I was supposed to be picked up on Tuesday, the driver never showed, no one called me to let me know. I called and the General Manager never returned my call. He was supposed to be covering for the person who manages the moves. I called 3 additional times still no call return. I finally called the person who initially came out for the estimate and he called the GM, who still didn't return my call. So for an entire day I was without any answers why the delay was happening. I finally called the person who handles the move, who was out on bereavement leave who finally managed to find out what is going on. They rescheduled me for the following Saturday my household goods were delivered a week late. The driver during the delivery started a political discussion and I had to cut him off. He was unvaccinated, had an old mask, he was unkempt and smelled. I had so many broken pieces including a vintage Adrian Pearsall sofa which was worth over $10,000 the entire Frame was cracked in half. I also had florring that was supposed to be shipped and it never arrived. The communication was horrible and the move cost me $15,000. The most they offered me was a three day delay credit and not even an apology. I'll definitely never use them again. The aggravation alone wasn't worth the money.

  The folks showed up as planned, packed and moved as expected and delivered pristine boxes and furniture to my daughter. Their process is load on to the same truck as delivers. No chance for "loss" and total accountability. Great doing business with them and i'd recommend them to anyone.

  We had items packed and placed in storage, so we had two sets of movers from A-1 Freeman. We also utilized U-Haul. Our experience with A-1 Freeman was one of highs and lows. Nona at the main office was just great; she rescheduled our move on sudden notice due to our street being closed for repaving. Scheduling the move and working with Julie Schroeder was an overall good experience. The packers were polite and efficient as well as the movers who picked up our items. Jason, one of the two delivery movers, was great. On the negative, the other delivery mover was terrible; he was constantly vaping outside and put a bed frame together so poorly the mattresses would have collapsed if anyone would have lain on the bed. Thankfully, we saw the pieces laying under the bed and discovered what happened before anyone was hurt. I addressed this to the office later, but my comments were ignored. Unfortunately for us, we signed the document stating all items were present. We thought we were helping the movers, as most of the items were still boxed. Two items were missing and we were not reimbursed because we signed this document. This is a lesson learned. One of the items packed and moved by A-1 Freeman was a very old antique vase. We bought that item so long ago that we no longer had the receipt. We estimated a value of $800 based on what it would cost to repair. We specifically wanted A-1 Freeman to pack these expensive items so they would be covered by insurance. We were reimbursed half of what we asked for and that took 2 ½ months for them to accomplish. We moved some of our items through U-Haul and had a much better experience with them at a much lower cost. The movers we used with U-Haul were also polite and efficient. We had to do the packing ourselves, but the difference in cost between A-1 Freeman and U-Haul is phenomenal. Another lesson learned. So, for the most part, we are very disappointed with our experience with A-1 Freeman. For what they charged, we certainly expected better than what we got. Learn by our mistakes.
