    I would recommend North American Moving Services to anyone who is moving, especially out of state moves. The driver, Ed, was the best. He called prior to the move day to let me know when they would arrive and they were right on time. Furniture was wrapped and everything loaded into the trailer in a very timely manner. Ed also told me when he would be delivering my furniture and boxes, only 5 days later and again, arrived on time. I moved from Michigan to Florida, extremely seamless move. He took the worry out of moving out on time as well as getting moved into my new home. Every piece of furniture and box was placed in the correct rooms. I just can’t say enough about how well Ed and his crew did. My daughter and SIL moved from Colorado to Florida and that was a nightmare. They were unaware that they scheduled their move through a broker. Movers arrived 3 days late and their items were not delivered for 5-6 weeks. Thank you Ed and North American Moving!!!

    Can’t recommend this company enough. Phil and Jennifer were fantastic prior to the move. They were very clear on pricing and what to expect. They were responsive to any questions I had as well. Both pickup and drop off of my belongings was a breeze. Tom and his crew took care of everything! Well worth the cost; completely stress free.

    Courteous, professional and efficient movers. The move out went easier than the move to the new house. Found a few items not packed as well as I thought they should be and so far we have found an expensive floor lamp broken. I would still recommend this company.

    My furniture moved from CT to FL. All 3 of my sofas were ruined because the moving van roof leaked. Two chairs were ruined also. I paid for mattress protectors and none of my mattresses were covered. Totally soaked. Two sets of sheets were ripped because the matresses werent covered. Several vases broke. To add insult to injury they want to upcharge me for more lbs and more boxes even though the person in charge of packing told me i hadn’t used extra boxes. Now they expect me to wait 6 months to hv an insurance claim processed. I had three friends use other movers when they moved out of state without one problem. Choose another company.

    Sterling Movers were professional from start to finish. Paul Ryan was expert in his estimate. The office staff were expert in communicating details. The movers in CT packed with great care. The contents arrived at our destination in a timely manner. The movers that unloaded did so again using great care. Sterling did everything they said they would at the price they said they would. I am recommending them to everyone in CT

    We had a wonderful experience from our first contact with North American to our item being delivered. It was nice to have a moving coordinator that was always available if we had questions. Our driver was amazing!! We always felt like our belongings were in good hands. While we hope we won’t be moving anytime soon, if the need arose, we would go with North American again.

    I had them pack and the people were very nice. However upon unpacking I discovered they had used an enormous amount of paper for every small glass, dish and decor. That resulted in twice the amount of boxes and weight which is how they charge. Just getting rid of the paper filled up huge boxes. The guys who unpacked mentioned the excess and could not even unpack it all because there was no space. I ended up unpacking most of the kitchen which is how I discovered the obscene waste of paper and padding of the cost. My representative in south Florida was very responsive when my delivery guarantee date was not met. However when I went on social media to complain, they managed to show up the next day. Not too much damage to goods. A few chipped dishes and sone furniture.

    This company lost about 70% of my things. My whole wardrobe is gone. They left my table top to my dining table, my favorite wooden full length mirror and broke some of my favorite items. They showed no care or concern for my items and only cared about stacking things as high as they would go to put more shipments on the truck. Shameful. It was a very upsetting move for me because of them. They were very unwilling to help carry things in the right rooms and wouldn’t even put the bed together. It wouldn’t have even mattered anyways because they broke the bed too. Absolutely disgusted. $9500 later I have to buy $20000 of new things.

    They got to our home all of our goods did not fit on the truck they had to get another crew in at 5 o’clock at night to load the rest of the truck up take it back and ship it in two loads everything that I dealt with you guys was basically chaotic and a mess. One of our drivers that unloaded here was fantastic the other guy on the other truck unloaded are goods could barely breathe we thought he was having a heart attack couldn’t even get up the steps my husband had to carry a lot of the girls into the house he was belligerent And rude there are a lot of other carriers out there that people can use and I would tell them to look into other carriers

    Fabulous! They came to my rescue when a consolidator dropped the ball the week before my expected move. These people - at every level of service - made it happen, on time and digging my budget! Tami was delightful; Mark was kind and thorough; the driver, Mike and his team worked for 12 straight hours packing and loading. Susie was steady and determined s d literally every single thing that needed to be desktop with, was addressed rapidly and perfectly. This was seamless!!! The unload was a priority fir them and it was done with care and concern for my belongings. I’ve never had such a great experience for a move of this magnitude.

    Only part of our move arrived on time, with the rest arriving two weeks late and with no discount or compensation. The agreement states a per diem if the move does not arrive on time, but they will NOT honor that if even part of your shipment arrives in the delivery window. So based on that they can delay the remainder of your shipment indefinitely without any financial penalty. This is why they over book and only do partial deliveries. Was without my infants bathtub, bouncer, bassinet, our bed sheets, and many other home goods. Secondly, the agent nor customer service were consistent on what the policy was or how to help while we waited.

    The worst I have ever experienced from start to finish. My entire household good was damaged beyond repair and you will do nothing about it. Even though you say you will you’ll take forever for the insurance to do anything. You destroyed all of my stuff my entire life was wiped before my eyes due to your incompetent movers. I have never in my life in all the moves I’ve had experience this. I’m left with nothing but a bill to pay for the incompetence and you were late so 3 weeks and I received broken dirty disgusting furniture oh and you ruined my sons scooter the only thing he was looking forward to. Then you extorted me out of money giving me once price and paying another. I will make it my life’s mission to make sure every person knows of your incompetence. Don’t go with North American Van Lines they will make sure you get nothing file an insurance claim you have to wait 6-7 months to be reimbursed yes you read that right reimbursed. Do yourself a favor and find a company that actually knows how to move people. Pay the extra money it’s worth it this company ruined our lives.

Heard contact changed beck to original move coordinator. Not proactively informed. 8/17 Agreed/confirmed stored revised load date 9/7 with delivery by 9/15 9/7 Left coordinator v-mail if loading today per contract. 9/8 Coordinator advised not loaded. Assigned driver in hospital. Delivery recovery plan TBD. I asked for storage credit effective 9/7, Beltmann/NA missed load date. 9/9 Received incorrect storage receipt w/credit. Requested revised storage invoice credit from 9/7. 9/10 Coordinator verbal load plan is now 9/13, Monday. 9/13 Coordinator advised NOT loading. Plan change to 9/15 Wednesday. Requested delay credit. 9/15 Advised driver loading today. Plan 9/20 delivery. Very disappointed with coordination/storage/delivery process. Why do I have to point out/request $711.13 storage refund credit? When will $711.13 refund credit check be mailed? Beltmann/NA didn't proactively manage delivery logistics which caused the delay since 9/7! Why do I have to repeatedly chase down the delivery date? Expect $250/day credit for the delivery delay inconvenience. $1,250 running credit now based on 9/20 late delivery plan. This is in addition to $711.13 storage refund credit pass due. Don't expect to fill-out claim form justifying inconveniences caused by Beltmann/NA management issues! Confirm the delayed shipment will be delivered 9/20 and when the credits will be submitted to me. Advise. Thanks

    There’s nothing like the feeling of packing every ounce of your being into a truck and moving cross country. You’re beyond vulnerable and stressed. NA alleviated all my stresses with daily updates from the moment I committed my move with them. They touched base a week prior to give me some helpful tips and tricks, 2 days prior, and day of updates. Day of move every single person involved was top notch. Not once thing was broken in my entire 5200 sq ft home and everything was cared for like it was an heirloom piece in their own family. I have heard horror stories of moving companies and North American blew my expectations out of the park. I cant recommend them enough! Bill was one of the most kindest, hard working individuals I’ve ever met! Also, their original quote is what was asked upon delivery which is huge! No upselling by their team and they made sure everything was staged as I wanted before departure! They are expensive, but definitely worth not having a headache and knowing your precious items are all taken care of.

    No American Moving Services is about the best there is. The move was flawless and the staff was top notch. The cost was a little higher than some, but it was guaranteed not to increase and at the end of the move, it was worth it! John, our lead and driver, managed our pick up and drop off and was a 10 out of 10! Thank you, John you made the entire experience very positive.

    I have moved 12 times in my adult life -- twice from the USA to Europe and back. Most times with large households and many furnishings. This was BY FAR the WORST moving experience I have ever experienced. Communications were VERY poor and no one seemed to feel responsible for anything. I have only high praise for the three young men who packed my belongings the day before the move --and for the two young men who carried the stuff out of the apartment. But the moving truck arrived 8-1/2 HOURS LATE, and the Hall-Lane provided me with NO helpful information at all. The driver should be dismissed for incompetence and for lying to me all day long. If a company in the New York City area does not know how to correctly handle a move out of Manhattan, then they should not have taken the job. For over $17K, I would have expected -- at a minimum -- decent communication on the day of the move. I am not looking for a refund, but a simple apology or acknowledgment of responsibility would have been the very least they could have done. Of course, NO ONE apologized or even seemed to care in the least.

    The driver, Anthony, and his team were excellent. We have moved seven times in the last 25 years due to job transfers and this was the best experience we have ever had. Not only was our furniture and home treated with care, we had total trust and confidence in Anthony to get the job done. He arrived at destination on time and unloaded with the same care he had taken at origin. He remained kind, caring and compassionate from start to finish.

    The worst service I have ever received. I still do not have all my items. Only half my items were sent to my house. The other half is still in oregon. There Oregon connect Moda Moving told us they have no idea when we will be getting the rest of our stuff. To make it worse they also stated they had no idea that only half our items were delivered. I have had to call Moda Moving and North American Van Lines literally over 30 times. Still no solid answer. To make matters worse. When I signed up I was quoted a price then after they picked up the items they changed the price and stated they forgot to add the storage fee. Who’s fault is that? It’s not fair that you get to give a quote and then change it half way through the move. Our items were 1000 lbs over. I asked what was the rate for every extra 100lbs. Debbie with Moda moving said she had no idea. There is an algorithm in the computer that computes it. Excuse me? So you mean to tell me that you have no idea how to do simple math? I did the math for her and it did not add up. Terrible service would never use you guys again.

    Just horrible. Was lied to about availability of drivers. Took forever to get information. Was never called to give updates. Took me calling multiple times to get any response what so ever. My delivery was 3 weeks late and was incomplete. Was supposed to have all of my belongings 6/4 and finally received everything 9/3. I give it a 1 star only because you don’t offer anything below that.

    Playing possum with Kim is a huge negative. When we received our furniture we had some loss and I called Mrs Kim over and over and she does not answer the phone. Weeks have gone by and the time is running out for me to make my claim this may be the plan not sure. It’s crazy .

    We have lived on 28 different places in oyr marriage, many requiring long haul moves, sincerely, this was our BEST move! I packed all our goods exceot for the dresser mirror and mattresses, our drivers loaded all our goods and deluvered them to our new house. They were the vest! Of all iur things only one glass dish was broken. Your men were careful and effecient. No waisted time...no gab, but they always answered our question and were polite and courteous...could not have done a better job.

    The driver and his partner were great. On time, efficient and caring. You could set the clock by them. They took care with the packing and loading. Some of the workers were problematic in that they didn’t show up on time, had to be told what to do again and again, we’re rough handling furniture and boxes.

    I am giving a 4 star rating because the movers themselves were helpful with information, professional and very efficient, with a couple of exceptions, some fragile items were broken, some scratches on furniture, the head slat for the bunk beds was put on backwards and they happened to take our two wheeler. (these things were not noticed until after they completed the job. I would like to know if we could possibly get the two wheeler back and/or be compensated for any of the above items stated.

    They were on time. Refused to use weight basis and only would bid based on lump sum. Never supplied weight for move. Broken and damaged items and they pushed me to corporate number. That now I’m dealing with their corporate office for the damages.

    The pickup went fine in Streamwood IL. They did a great job packing everything up and stacked everything correctly after they were instructed to stack certain boxes the right way. The sales man mislead us to understand that they would hire workers to help unload the truck at the Brandenburg KY end. Only the driver and another person unloaded the truck. They were late getting to the house and when they went to unload many of the boxes were not stacked correctly and in some cases lighter boxes were on the bottom of heaver ones. The driver, as she was unloading the truck, fragile boxes were placed under heavy ones. We did have some breakage and crushing of lampshades that were in lighter boxes. One of the drivers/workers appeared to have health issues and the other person had to take up the slack. The helper who was at both ends of the move, did an excellent job working with us to ensure all went well. We were very surprised of the lack of professionalism of the move in Brandenburg KY. The load arrived on the very last day of the contract in a plain white truck which was not what we expected from a larger more professional mover.

    I would have rated higher except for one problem. First the good: the driver and crew were professional, experienced and did and overall great job. The owner got directly involved when a problem came up, the reason for the bad review was the sales agent. I told him specifically because if our unique situation, we did not need the furniture delivered to NC right away, the important thing for us was to just know when it would arrive ( we had to make a lot of different arrangements). Although the contract showed a time spread of 10 days for delivery, the agent assured us “it never goes to 10 days plan on 3-4” so we made the arrangements…..10 days later the furniture arrives….UGH….I would not take the agents word regarding delivery CAAL THE DISPATCHER.

    Service was terrible. One person was sent to pack and multiple items were broken and packed incorrectly. Then they sent one person to unload and they had to wait over 3 hours for additional help. I have done a corporate relocation 3 times and this was the worst experience

    The entire moving experience was handled and completed very professionally and well done. Karen let me know what to expect and kept me informed. The delivery of my furniture was actually ahead of schedule which was a wonderful surprise. The Movers were considerate and efficient. I had a 5’2” Baby Grand Piano and they took such good care of it and assembled it at my new home without a problem. They packed my artwork very well and unpacked it carefully at my new residence. I was very impressed with Tom, the Moving Manager. I would highly recommend these Movers! I moved from Phoenix to Ann Arbor Michigan and they really helped alleviate some of the stress associated with that huge relocation.

    From start to finish, I was pleased with every step of the process; from scheduling my meeting for a cost estimate, scheduling the move, coordinating the logistics to the actual day of loading and then delivery was a great experience. The service provided by Alex and his crew during my recent long distance move was superior and exceeded my expectations. The care they took with wrapping and loading my furniture and boxes to the final delivery and set up of disassembled furniture was done with great pride and care. I would highly recommend them.

    Moving a large house with family across state lines is never a good experience. And there are always unexpected stress points and challenges even with the best teams. That being said, this team was as good as we have experienced. Dan was very informative and available and accommodating in booking the job. Darlene has been very responsive every time we had concerns. Although we probably could have used more packers to prepare, they sent the A team to get it all done and onto the truck on moving day. It took another half day, but they got it done and it surprisingly fit (barely)! And Cameron and Ryan who drove our goods across the country and unloaded were the best. The best attitude. Super careful with our goods. And never complained about any challenges with unloading that they didn’t anticipate. I hate moving, but thank you for not adding to the stress!

    The process was easy and the movers were phenomenal. They ensured all furniture was wrapped and secure and were thorough. We were unsure how it would go traveling 400+ miles but they made it seamless. The movers even delivered the furniture on the date we requested. They went above and beyond!!

    We have moved no fewer than 10 times within the past 25 years — all with reputable moving companies. This moving company, without a doubt, was the worst mover we have ever used and I warn all those considering using this mover to stay away. Highlights of the disaster: We had a 7,500 sq ft home full of furniture to move and showed up with a truck that was less than half the size of an 18 wheeler with a total of 3 people to move all our stuff! We called the moving company in desperation to get a larger truck and more people to help move and it goes on deaf ears. They rarely answer the phone and it takes at least 3 voicemails to get a call back. They brought in a total of 3 small trucks to hold all our stuff and then needed a final 4th truck, which they rented from Uhaul! They sent two random guys from their warehouse in the Uhaul to load our remaining stuff. These guys had no idea what they were doing with no instructions from dispatch! The quality of packing and movement of our stuff onto the truck was very poor and movers interest in moving things properly and safely was nonexistent.When our stuff arrived on Aug 10th our worst fears were confirmed. One medium sized truck arrived that was jam packed with our stuff and then another medium sized truck that was even more jam packed than the first with our stuff.We called the moving company again expressing our concern - zero call backs. The lead mover and his assistant unload our stuff very sloppily. Most of the stuff they packed was never packed properly, marble table top shattered, glass tops shattered due to poor packing, lamps and tables broken due to poor packing, kitchen table stained with goo due to dirty blankets, etc. Then more stuff was broken as they brought it into the house due to insufficient staff to help move. A one day unload of our stuff turned into 3 days of horror, only to find out on the 3rd that the lead mover only hired 1 assistant (rather than 3 or 4) so that he can make more money on the load he would be paid by the moving company! At the end of the move, at least 10 pieces of furniture remain missing, at least 20 pieces irreparably damaged, all of the screws to the bedroom sets twisted because lead mover had no idea how to put the beds together. We have left no fewer than 5 voicemails since our stuff has been unloaded and no call back from management. Only supervisor calls, who has zero authority to do anything other than tell us to file a claim for damaged goods. Awful!

    The move from start to finish was: the packing and loading in Brighton was fine, as was the driver. Upon arrival in WA only the driver and one other person were on hand for the unloading. As a result myself and my wife had to assist with the unloading as we wanted to get the job done in a timely way. This is not what I paid almost,$14,000 for and I would expect some kind of adjustment from North American. I am very disappointed in this phase of the move and expected (and was promised) much more from you.

    Still have not received all my household items, they should have arrived a month ago. I was not told by stuff was going into storage and they didn't have a driver. I was only told about the deejay when I called because I had not heard from anyone. I received partial shipment a week ago and almost everything was damaged. Items that were valuable and irreplaceable were not properly wrapped and came broken. I received my coffee table,, end tables and sofa table legs with no table tops, bed frames missing pieces, shattered mirrors, broken marble lamps and accent tables, broken curio cabinets and damaged furniture. Very disappointed as I had used this company many years ago for my move from Houston to Colorado. Horrible customer service and if you do use them to move do not get a non binding bid as they will charge you way more than 10% of their estimate. I can not file any claims on delayed delivery or damaged goods until all my items are delivered and there is no time frame so I have to keep all the broken items in my home and wait for them to deliver the rest of my belongings.

    Less than desirable. Lennon was great setting everything up, but the packers and loaders were late both days due to equipment and supply issues. The packers miss labeled or didn’t label some boxes. I had to bug Redman Van to get updates on where my shipment was. No one could give me a ballpark delivery date. My truck was 9 DAYS!!! past the last day for estimated delivery. I paid a PREMIUM for less than mediocre service. We all have excuses in our business, but for the price I paid, it should have been stellar service. If you can’t deliver, don’t take the job. I should say that our delivery guys were A+. They took my job when they didn’t have too.

    This was the worst move we have ever had, I would never use this company again. A handful of items that I said needed moved were left at our old house because they could not fit in the truck. At the destination the driver did not have a crew properly set up and left for the 8hours. Moving the boxes from the truck to the house for a 1900 square foot house stretched into 3 days. We were missing many items and if I hadn’t been constantly monitoring the boxes/rugs/bikes we would have been missing items. Our bikes were taken apart for some reason and they were not able to find all of the parts, some of our furniture was missing parts to finish putting it back together. We actually had a desk that they took completely apart(a sitting/standing desk) and they didn’t even attempt to put it back together. We were not reimbursed for anything missing/damaged/or the incredible inconvenience of how long this took. We have moved many times across state lines and never have had this poor of service.

    I have used numerous van lines, and, by far, this was the worst experience. L & J Movers Pottstown, PA wrecked furniture by putting too heavy on top and denting in fabric, causing chips and rubs off of varnish, and causing blue fuzz from their moving blankets to stick to furniture legs and sides of executive desk. They actually left this huge desk sitting on its side in a back room with leg attached incorrectly and with the moving blankets still stuck (literally) to the item. When I made the claim, the NAVL office handling claims said they would have to send someone to my home to investigate, and that was many days after the move. I am still awaiting information regarding my claim.
