  Very bad experience. Was not told about delivery date till they took all stuff; then delivery date was provided as last day of spread. After that date was again changed to a week later from of spread with reasoning that they could not fit my stuff in the trailer. Offered 100 dollars per day for 5 days which didnt even cover the hotel cost. I had hired them even though they were not cheap. With this experience not going to recommend anyone to hire them

  We wanted to let you know how terrible of a move we experienced with your company. The packers did not know there were two separate drop off locations nor did it seem the men loading/unloading the truck knew until the very last minute. I had everything labeled with a post it note where to go prior to packing, apartment vs. storage. It seemed that the loaders shrink wrapped and just reused the post it note to label vs re labeling so many labels were off by the time it arrived. The unloaders first unloaded items at the storage unit (which had to be repacked as it looked like items were "thrown" in there) and then brought the rest to the apartment. Multiple items were missing that were supposed to be at the apartment (couch cushions, half of a swivel chair, media center, etc.) and more items were at the apartment that should have been put in storage. Also, the parts box was missing so the furniture that was there couldn't be put together. The main guy unloading said he would come back the following day and meet us at storage to look for the parts box among the other items that weren't at the apartment and put the other items into storage. That morning we texted him and he told us another guy was on his way to meet us, so we waited nearly 2 hours at the storage unit and no one showed up. We were then informed someone would show up that afternoon. What should have been 1 day of unloading took nearly 3 and it seemed like multiple parties/companies were involved but little information passed along. I do not recommend using NorthAmerican.

  Some aspects of service were good, but some aspects of service were poor. A large number of items designated as not to move, were packed, stored, and shipped, with some having the do not ship labels still on them when they arrived. I had asked for some relief from the extra shipping charges that has fallen on deaf ears. Also, way too much paper was used in many instances to pump up the shipping charges. The worst was a 4.+ box with 5 Yankee candles and the rest all paper.. Further, the packing crew took my hand truck. On the good side, the driver and his crew went beyond expectations in delivering and unloading my furniture.

  The driver and crew were on time and ready to work. They did a great job of packing the furniture and packing a few items. The loaded the truck efficiently. The delivery was on time and the unloaded items were brought to the appropriate places in the house.

  Outstanding service from the beginning of the process and throughout the loading and delivery of the household goods. I could not have had a better crew working to secure and transport our belongings. Having experienced over 5 moves since 2008, I rate the moving crew among the top 3%!

  Overall very good. I think you used too much packing paper but that is ok since nothing appears damaged. However 4 lampshades were somehow lost and someone else got my shades. Other than that your personnel were cooperative and everything went off as scheduled.

  We had a complicated double move. One half of our things went to one state and the other half to a second. We were under stress to get the moves out of our sold home and into second place. Timing was everything. Am First Class movers were perfect. Picked up and delivered EXACTLY as promised. I would recommend them totally to anyone They DID do a first class move!

  Very good, excellent service. I would highly recommend Them. The sales rep and moving coordinator we’re both very friendly, helpful and responsive to all our questions regarding our move from Florida to Northern California. The packers and loaders were awesome! Arriving exactly on time, they worked non stop. Super efficient, polite, neat and cleaned up well. Our driver texted us to let us know when he would arrive to load and deliver and was also exactly on time. We never expected the contents of our home to arrive so quickly and without damage. Highly recommend.

  The crews who loaded and unloaded our trucks were great and very hardworking and polite. So I have no complaints about them. The problem we had was that we spent a very large amount of money to move across the country and the communication was terrible. We were supposed to be given 24 hours notice when the moving truck would arrive and we were given no notice and the truck just showed up and we were not even close to the house. I called the company and nobody seemed to care and wouldn’t compensate anything or even appologize They just kept blaming somebody else. They need some help in higher management and people to take responsibility for their actions.

  Estimate process was awesome! Loading and unloading were great! Pricing was high. I paid over $12,000 to move from TX to SC! Arranging for shipment was awful! I started requested delivery of my items on May 25th with the Irving TX office. After many calls and emails, my items were not delivered within the guaranteed delivery window. I finally received my items on June 21st!

  Dan, the person who came out to do the estimate was wonderful, the packers were just ok, they forgot a lot, which caused me to be up half the night. The movers were good, professional, and worked very hard, although I had some damages. I believe Dan made sure I had insurance, so I’d like to know how to make a claim.

  We have made 7 cross-country moves and this company is the worst. Never told us what time they would show up, called at 9am, and was told they were on the way, called several more times only for them to show up at 3:30. I was invoiced for an additional box that was added to the BOL after I signed the paperwork. I am still waiting on part of my shipment because when they were loading it from storage, it did not fit on the truck. I was told they would keep me informed, and it would take about 10 days, it has now been over two weeks and I have not been contacted by the company. I have moved a lot, and believe that I have reasonable expectations for moving companies, but I would definitely would not use this company again.

  Unfortunately didn’t meet expectations. Moved from Pennsylvania to Georgia and temporarily stored contents for 6 months. When it took time to love from storage facility to Georgia communication was poor, didn’t show up on confirmed day and when our furniture arrived it was damaged. Filed damage claim haven’t heard back. They wouldn’t return my call - would never recommend.

  Outstanding service! Deborah Higgins was provided excellent attention to all the details in coordinating our move cross country. Owen, managed our packing and loading onto the moving van. Owen was also the van driver. Owen was fantastic!! He was timely, thorough and very efficient. He and his moving team made our moving experience stress-free. If we ever move again, we will call North American Moving Services and we will request Owen be our driver. Outstanding service by D. Higgins and Owen! Thank you!

  In the beginning, everything was great. Ian was very clear about how everything works. Our furniture was put into storage for 6 weeks. Our delivery was delayed. The truck bringing our stuff had two other deliveries. We think they were coordinating the three moves but this was never said. Then the truck broke down the day of delivery. We were notified at the last hour before delivery that they were not coming. With a very large delivery, only three pieces of furniture were broken. Tia in the office was very helpful in getting the forms we needed to file a claim.

  While the folks on the Oregon end were great, we ended up with a dozen items missing when the truck got to Florida. We are working with the driver to try to locate the missing items. A suggestion would be to separate loads with a tarp or bulkhead.

  so many issues -On Day 1 of packing - there was 1 person on site to pack up an entire 3 bedroom home. Day 2 brought additional help. However, items were packed in boxes unmarked - items packed in boxes marked incorrectly - items carelessly packed - several broken items. To file a claim, you are required to save the item that they damaged and the box that it was in to show the box was damaged - not worth my time or trouble when all i want to do is settle in my new home. the issue was 100% with the packing of my items - the crew that delivered was great, friendly and very helpful.

  The packers were horrible! They didn’t get to my house until 10am to start packing. Very slow. Packed things I told them not to pack like every bit of my daughters clothes that I SHOWED them not to pack. They didn’t leave until 9pm and complained the entire time saying I had too much stuff to pack. The movers dropped my husbands ATV out of the trailer. It was an all around horrible experience!!

  Our driver arrived with a bad attitude and was determined to set the schedule that he wanted instead of the contract schedule. Over a three day period, the more we discussed it the more hostile and disrespectful he was. When we asked the coordinator to get us another driver she refused. Then, through no one’s fault, that driver had a medical emergency and had to go to the hospital. The company did then find us another crew to finish packing, but our unload day was postponed 3 days due to lack of driver and crew. All in all, though they worked hard, the crews were sloppy with packing, loading, and unloading, trying to get finished quickly. We had many items broken or damaged. It was the worst move I have experienced out of 25+ moves and I would NOT recommend this company.

  Challenging process to get a quote and difficult to work with. Quote was wrong and cost us a lot. Team was slow to pack us up and didn’t come prepared. Our things arrived very disorganized. Do not recommend. Overall a headache to work with.

  Overall, it was an okay first experience both with this company and with moving. My issue came with them being late to deliver my items, and the lack of a formal introduction when the movers came to pick my stuff up; and the partner company (they used/referred me to) to move my car, which was not a good experience (e.g., poor communication, inaccessible, late, messed up my car, etc.). I will probably look into a different company if I try to move across the country again.

  I was very pleased as my move was completed within the timeframe as stated on the contract. I'm a traveler for work and had to fly out that following Monday, so I alerted the Coordinator at North American a few days prior who had indicated the driver would be able to have my move completed the day before I had to travel. Very professional and hard working driver who did both the move from my origin and destination locations.

  We interviewed several companies to move our household goods from Virginia to Tennessee. North American Bayshore stood ahead of the rest from the beginning. The estimate was done quickly with excellent guidance on how we may have additional savings. The packers were efficient and loaders, movers and unloaded were quick and effective and arrived ahead of schedule. Finally, their pricing was fair and better than estimates of competitors. We would highly recommend North American Bayshore.

  This did not go at all as hoped. The transit time promised at pickup for my cross-country move was 7-14 days. Communication with the movers after pickup was a problem—we called frequently for updates but were unable to learn anything, and there is no after-hours contact or online status updates. When we finally got an arrival day it was incorrect, so on top of waiting all that day for the movers (for nothing), i had returned the bed I borrowed so I could make room for the arriving furniture, so I had to go borrow it again. When the load finally arrived three days later, after, 21 days in transit, my mattress—the only one I moved—was missing from the shipment and I had to borrow the bed for the THIRD TIME. And the moving damage to my furniture was not disastrous, but was noticeable—more than i was expecting. That said, the local packing team in Metro Detroit were excellent: kind, courteous, helpful, and efficient, which kept this from being a one-star rating.

  The movers in New York and Florida were awesome. They took really good care of our belongings. They were all polite respectful and terrific at their job. When the guys came with our things in Florida they put our table legs back on, put the chairs back together, and our gym equipment. Thank you Mike V.   Not sure why an Allied truck moved me when I signed a contract with North American I paid for appliance hookup on both ends and nobody came on the destination end I had to hook them up myself.

  Although thorough in presentation and planning, the movers themselves were careless in their procedures. First, they arrived with a truck 1/4 full with another shipment. They damaged a statue which they failed to protect adequately then stuffed in a tight area. They stacked boxes labeled "FRAGILE DO NOT STACK" and ignored labels indicating top sides. A second truck was required due to the improper allocation on the first truck. The second crew took no precautions to protect items and I tried to impress on them the need to pad and properly secure several items. On arrival the crew, some of which had loaded the truck, unloaded the truck without regard to any order which resulted in a lot of confusion and further damage. The second crew arrived in a different truck than the one loaded at the origin-a U-Haul into which heave objects were stacked tightly on top of and against delicate items. More damage ensued, most of which destroyed the value of expensive objects. When I pointed out the damages and the obvious neglect in handling, the driver became irate and stated "you should have crated them" to which I replied "if you thought they should have been crated why didn't you do that?" All in all a distressing and costly experience financially and emotionally.

  Negative 5 star. Worst professional move experience ever! Jesse Diaz the Unload Driver and his crew were awesome however. The pack/load experience was a nightmare!!! Driver showed up with no crew. Every step of the pack/load was a complete failure! Late of communication by move coordinator contributed to the terrible experience. Goods were delivered 3 days late.

  We had a great experience with Northamerican moving services! Our moving coordinator did a great job and was very responsive but the best thing was our actual movers. We have moved a few times and Tom and Keith were the best ever! This was a difficult move logistically speaking but the two of them were very pleasant and careful. They made a hard day of moving quite easy.

  Our move from Powder Springs GA to Richmond VA had a poor subcontractor. Our moving date was met with a 33'cargo container and our items were scattered over the entire 33'. I complained to Ian Robbins and told him I was dissatisfied and he had the container entirely repacked. If it weren't for Ian's help I would have filed a complaint with the GA Sec of State and FTC/ We paid for a North American moving van and service and received neither. The move into our Richmond home was also poor, lacking a specific arrival date, 3rd party service and incomplete finishing.

  The movers were exceptional, but the representative did not follow up as expected. He did not check in before the move, nor did he call after the move to ensure that the move went well. The front office did not communicate that we were supposed to call a local technician to hook up our washer and dryer. We moved from a different state. The mover had to told me that.

  Overall: poor. The moving crews themselves were professional, courteous, and worked well. The company behavior as a whole is what earned the low rating. First, I was sold on a particular moving window. When no one showed at the destination as per the contract, I called and found out that there was a driver shortage and they did not have a new delivery window. Driver shortages aren't new and they should have been upfront about it. Transparency is important. Additionally, I was reassured a couple times that, as soon as my belongings leave the warehouse, I would get a notification call. I didn't receive a call until the driver was a day out. Second, getting through to their support was a hassle. More often than not, when calling their 1800 number, it would go straight to voicemail. I left a couple messages. When I did get through to someone, the individual was not aware of any voicemails. I never received any acknowledgment that the voicemails were heard. Whenever I needed to contact them after that, I didn't bother leaving a voicemail. I just kept calling. Lastly, it has been nearly two (2) weeks since the delivery and there is still an outstanding item I am trying to resolve regarding payment. I used a credit card, which incurs an additional hold, the load came in under weight, and the delivery was late. All three of those points add up to a sum that is due as a refund. No word from North American. In short, poor communication and poor transparency throughout the move. It is unlikely I will be a return customer.

When no one showed up by the end of the delivery window, I called and found out that they had a driver shortage. Driver shortages aren't new and they should have been upfront about it during the sales pitch. Transparency is important. Second, I was assured twice that I would receive a notification call as soon as my belongings left the warehouse. I did not. The first call I received about the delivery was the day before from the truck driver. Third, getting through to the company support was a challenge. All three points add up to a sum for refund. I haven't heard anything from North American and, of course, I'm trying to get through to their Support. In short, North American provided poor communication and poor transparency through the move. It is unlikely that I will be a return customer.

  Bayshore Moving & Storage and North American did a fine job with our shipment. We send a small load of household items to our son in another state. The representatives stayed in touch and keep us informed at every stage of the move. The packing crew did an excellent job preparing the items for shipping. The North American truck picked up and delivered the shipment in a timely manner. Our son reported that everything was delivered safe and sound. Overall, a very satisfying and successful shipment.

  The service was first class from start to finish. An agent came to our home, listened to our wishes and he made helpful recommendations. Ours was a 1700 mile cross country move. We opted for Lambert Moving and Storage a North American Van Lines agent to make our move, which included packing all our belongings, and transporting them to our new home. Communication was excellent all throughout the move. The Packing was done professionally by Doris and her crew. The loading went without a hitch. Drivers called ahead always to keep us informed. It made for a stress free and smooth move. At the destination end the communication was excellent and the delivery crew did an outstanding job.   Christine and her team were excellent. They worked together cohesively and as a result the packing of our items and loading took less time and she was able to leave with our items a day earlier than expected. They arrived precisely on time with everything in perfect condition. Members of the packing team were also part of the delivery team which made it easier to communicate with the crew as they were already familiar with us and the plan.

  Self packed so can’t evaluate that portion. All items with the exception of some shelves arrived. Due to self packing all remaining items arrived without damage regardless of how badly damaged most of the boxes were. Loaders and unloaders all did a fantastic job. Driver was very good with the exception of communication. Delivery window was five days. I called after day one when no communication was received to get a delivery date. Dispatch gave me a delivery date of day 4. Sat around for a full day with no communication. Reached out to dispatch who called me another hour later to say they weren’t coming on delivery day and pushed it back another day. All in all good service in all aspects but care of goods and communication.
