  Twice now Ive used their chat and in both cases found the operator to be less than useless. I won't go into major details, apart from they don't read the messages Ive sent. Unlikely to buy anything from there again. But he didn't answer the question which was quite simple, I went to B&H asked exactly the same question and got the answer first time, what I asked wasn't rocket science.

  It's a pleasant shop to visit and the staff are always very helpful, they somehow know exactly what I'm talking about even though I don't use the technical names for stuff! They also gave us a very good deal and threw a couple of extras in when we bought a nice camera from them. Definitely a place worth checking out for anyone interested in cameras

  Excellent company to deal with. Worked with Luke and the experience was pleasant and easy. Delivery was smooth and My order came to my house very quickly even though I only paid for the free shipping. Once I unboxed the camera, I verified it had zero snaps and it was still new. I especially like the improved ISO performance, Focus is very fast, and I think it's a great camera for my purposes which include wedding photography. I'm glad I trusted Madison Avenue cameras with a high end camera purchase.

  Communication improvements needed Be careful with this site. Started a lens exchange in 30.9.2021 with the number TX-4323166, since then I didn't have any info of the process, already asked for information about that. The only thing that they asked for is the crop off of the receipt of the transport company, already sent it to them, since then I didn't have any kind of news, already asked for an answer several times. Looks like this is a scam. Be careful.

  I was very impressed by the level of specification provided by Madison Avenue cameras for the binoculars that I was comparing. This allowed me to select the ones that best suited my uses. The website was easy to use, the dispatch and delivery very prompt with excellent notification and tracking. The binoculars were properly wrapped. I wouldn't go anywhere else when it comes to cameras and gear.

When I informed the seller of non delivery the matter was resolved and a new item delivered from the NY to Vancouver within a short time. The item was as described and in good condition.   They sold me a poke in a sack. The camera was in open package. They said they need to check everything before they give it to me. But they did not do it with me in front of my eyes. The Nikon package had a big dent on its side. They told me it's OK. Later on Nikon told me the camera has been dropped. They convinced me to buy their extended warranty. They declined to cover the damage. They kept saying I was the one who damaged it. These guys are not professional businessmen and lack of integrity. Avoid at all costs.

  Prices are decent as far as local camera stores go. The staff are not overly helpful for someone who is already an experienced photographer. Maybe they're good for people who are new to photography and need to learn the basics of camera gear. The in-store selection is good, but not great.

  My go-to! I love Madison Ave Cameras, it is my go-to place to buy all things related to film. Even though I have tried purchasing 35mm film from other stores, I always return to Madison Ave Cameras. It is a lovely independent business and they have much better prices than other stores.   Improvements needed I've checked availability of the item in my local store, and proceed to order online, (weekend). I though I could pick up the item on my way home after work during the week, but had to wait for it to be send from deposit anyway! No point of checking stock if it has to be send from warehouse, when placing the order I though it was from my local store. Wasteful way to do things. I think there's room to improve.

  Stock Info I sent an email asking if they sold Canon EF-M lens adapter kit for Canon EF , they replied with they did and added a link to the item.   Superb repairs department. My 55-200mm lens stopped working. I informed Madison, and within 48 hrs had received a padded box with pre-paid plastic envelope. The lens was returned well within the stated time (less than 10 days) mended and fully operational. The zoom sleeve had been replaced, even though that wasn’t the problem. Cost? $190. Well outside the guarantee period, so not unreasonable. In fact the lens must be 5 years old and has seen considerable use. And in adverse conditions, too. It is a great shame so much of Fuji’s production has been transferred to China. ‘Made in Japan’ really means something. ‘Made in China’ really doesn’t. Never mind. Delighted with the repair.

  Great prices but no warranty! I bought a new Pentax 645D slr from Madison Avenue Cameras in central Manhattan. It was dispatched to me from another state. Arrived with box opened and no warranty card. I queried this and was told not to worry any problem would be dealt with by Madison Avenue Cameras'. The camera was immediately faulty so I called to report this. I could not get past the call centre and was told to send it back to NY at my expense. I called Nikon customer support to be told that I had bought grey goods and any warranty would not be recognized by Nikon either in the UK or USA. My only option is to pay $170 to insure the camera and send back to USA or cut my losses and pay Nikon UK to repair. I would not buy anything from this company again.

  Canon 14-45mm Lens I’m going to keep this review short and sweet. I used Madison Avenue Cameras previously to purchase a brand new Canon EOS M6 Mark II , paid much less than other retailers and received great service. So it was only natural that when looking for accessories, Madison Avenue Cameras was the place to go. Needless to say, I’ve just bought a 14-45mm lens and will be using Madison Avenue Cameras again when I want to buy my next lens (a ef-m 22mm). Great prices, great service - highly recommended!

  Quite dissapoointed with the initial service. My wife and me went to the shop to buy a Sony FE 2x converter and SmallRig camera cage . All the staff were busy so we had to wait 25 mins before we were served. Apparently the reg was out of stock even though I checked beforehand on the web site and there was one in stock! a wasted journey!

  Fantastic service Ordered a Sony a1 over a weekend, was called on the following Monday asking if I would like an extra battery for $45 an offer that I took up. Camera arrived 3 days later as promised along with the extra battery. Fantastic service and would order again with total confidence.

  I bought my Canon r3 here. I will certainly be supporting my local camera shops from this point forward. The staff is knowledgeable. They were not concerned with pushing extras on me. They took care of my needs. My only issue was wait time. However, this was about a week or two before Christmas and the store was busy. So given the general state of local camera shops in an online world, I was happy more than anything with that circumstance.

  Once again, Madison Avenue cameras came through for me!!! I had purchased an upgrade 4K Camcorder which I had all kinds of issues with when I was setting it up. After resolving the problem, with the help of their excellent customer service department personnel, I returned it and then turned around and ordered another Camcorder that actually met my needs.   After talking with the salesman at Madison Avenue cameras I decided on the Sony a6000 camera with the 16-50mm Lens. I couldn't be happier! The fast shutter speed is amazing and the way it feels so solid makes me know I've got quality in my hands. Yes, it's heavy but it balances out with the quality lens. The sharpness of the pictures I've taken are fantastic and I'm still learning more each week. I am very happy.
