  My First Review of Madison Avenue Cameras I have been using Madison Avenue Cameras for years when it comes to purchasing my photographic gear. I have found my experience with them has improved over the years. I have never had a problem dealing with them when a problem outside of their control occurs. If something happened to an order, it usually was on the delivery end and out of Madison Avenue Cameras control. And, when a problem did occur, they did everything possible to solve the problem quickly. I trust this company completely when it comes to spending my money on gear.   Only Place with audio for video in stock. Madison Ave Cameras is the only place I can find Wired ENG Microphones equipment in stock. The prices I'm seeing are better than NewEgg and CDW. Madison' will be my first stop for lav and shotgun mics in the future.

  Be careful of old addresses... I had an old website account, and when I created my order, I'd intended to update my shipping address. I'd added my new address, set it as the billing address, and assumed that shipping/billing matched, but must have overlooked the old (two moves ago!) address jumped in during the login process. It never prompted me to verify that inaccurate address were on purpose, or that it had imported my ancient previous address during the login process. My fault,Madison Avenue Cameras but checkout could have made it a harder mistake to make--plenty of other checkout flows do, after all.

  I Love Tamron & Madison I purchased a Tamron f2.8 28-75 lens last year and it works great. I then purchased this lens f2.8 17-28mm. Both are very sharp and cost half of a comparable Sony lens.

  Highly Satisfied with my new tripod I was really looking for a long one when I saw this one on sale and after looking over the specs, I decided to purchase it. I received it intact and in perfect condition from Madison Ave Cams. It's inexpensive, lightweight, stable, sturdy, unfolds quickly, and when I'm finished doing my work, it can be folded away quickly. This is an excellent product. I'm highly satisfied with my purchased. Thank you very much Madison' and thank you for the extra Quick Release Plate. I love my new tripod.

  Great advice and assistance. I bought a pair of Swarovski binoculars and Davies was very patient with me.   Madison Avenue Cameras was as always superb in customer service. From when I placed my order to when I had my new lens was 1 1/2 days. FedEx did not require a signature just acknowledgement through my screen/glass door that I was the addressee allowing me to stay safe in these troubled times All in all a great experience, I'm thrilled and Madison' remains my go-to vendor for all my Photographic needs.

  Be sure to turn on focus peaking when using this SLR Magic 8mm F/4 lens. It is difficult to focus. The lens is a little clumsy to use.

  Really easy process to buy a TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 lens from these guys. Shipped it to New Jersey in a week. Overall the service was excellent, especially after some troubling circumstances out of their control. Would definitely recommend buying from this store, rangefinder lenses in excellent condition and a really friendly bunch of people.

  A SWEET Loop This Black Rapid loop holds a lot of gear when attached to your quick release plate and onto your Black Rapid Strap. Never had any difficulties holding onto my very heavy Canon 1Dx and Canon 100-400 L series lens. Great product. Have one one each plate and an extra for the long lens collar. Working great! I'm a happy customer!

  Think tank camera bag I went to Madison Ave Cams to see their vast selection of camera bags. I wanted one by Think Tank and got a perfect fit. Holds my 7 D mark ii, along with 5 lens and extra gear. Very sturdy, 4 wheels and its carry on size for most planes. Very satisfied

  I bought a Polaroid 72'' tripod at a local box store and I took it to my photography class.   Perfect for Birds This Sony DSC-HX400V is my bridge due to better zoom, more control. Buttons and operation are intuitive, better pixels, excellent zoom. I take walks and take pictures or just bird watch, started as a covid thing. Only drawback is the same write-time issue that you wait and miss more of a good shot while it writes, no matter what upgraded SD card you use. Still, I love it, it's perfect for what I want it for. Great price and service at M.A.C. Amazing really, I bought a used bridge camera first from M.A.C; Not the right choice, I knew it immediately. Packed it back up carefully, returned it, did a little more research. Happy.

  I personally only go to Madison ave cams to look around. You can find better deals online or at a Nikon service center. Yes, staff is friendly but if you have done any research on what you're looking to buy you are probably more knowledgeable in the subject.

  Magnus TR-13 Travel Tripod I could not be any happier with my purchase of the travel tripod. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. My first use was a hiking trip in the Dead Mountains Wilderness of California. The tripod fit easily into my pack and was efficient to set up. I was most impressed by the stability. Even when working with long exposures in the river flow, the Magnus keep me tack sharp! Well done!

  Great Camera Kit Camera was a gift and it is a great camera with many features! Perfect camera for hobbyist who wants better quality and options than those available with cell phone cameras.   I purchased the Olympus ED 60mm f/2.8 macro lens for my new Olympus OM-D10. It is a small lens but has large capabilities. I am very impressed with its versatility and sharpness.   WOW! This place is a pro video heaven. I'm in a quarantine re-do a training studio for live stream interactive session & decided I wanted a bigger camcorder. Whew BABY! I had a budget but totally blew it because the camcorder I wanted vs the one (Sony HXR-NX80 4K ) I ended up with was so much different picture & sound quality wise. The reps are very well informed about product information so I was impressed. I had a great experience from beginning to end. Delivery was quick & easy as well!

  Store looks empty reminds me of Kmart I think this location will be closing like Rochester soon. It's a shame because the staff here is really friendly and attentive, I walked into Madison Ave Cams three times to buy a Canon EOS 6D Mark II and wasn't even acknowledged.

  Madison Avenue Cameras has some of the most knowledgeable and nice associates I've ever interacted with. Very refreshing to experience this level of service. The selection of products is also quite nice, and if they don't have what I want I can always order what I need and pick it up in store. Not to mention the service I've received in home for Sony a7r iii repair has also been amazing! Absolutely recommend shopping here!

  Nice D5600 Package...Great business!! Decent piece of kit for an intermediate user. Not a professional grade kit but darn near! The ability to record video was the primary reason for me selecting this kit. An immediate savings off the retail price made the purchase a no-brainer! Sales, customer service, and product availability at Madison Avenue Cameras is second to none. I have recently read that another major online retailer vendors who are selling counterfeit "name brand" products. I never have to worry about that happening at Madison'. Go nowhere else...Madison Ave Cameras is number #1 in my book.

  This Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 50mm f/2.8 lens is absolutely amazing. I have an APS-C camera with amazing autofocus but I mainly use full-format cams. The first lens I received had a very very small speck of dust near the front element. So I contacted Madison Avenue Cameras about it and they sent me a return shipping label and a piece of paper to put in the package. I sent it out via FedEx on a Friday and freighted my brand new Trioplan 50 f2.8 II back by Monday morning. I love Madison Avenue Cameras and I love my new Meyer Optik Gorlitz. Thanks Madison Avenue Cameras for being so amazing and a big thank you to Davies for making the exchange process so easy! You've got a lifetime customer here!

  So pleased with my Nikon 10x42 Monarch 5... Madison Avenue Cameras provided a fantastic service. They offered a great range of product and their knowledge was second to now, the advice they gave really helped my decision making on the right binos for my birding hobby and needs.   I am a beginner but bought this D850 camera in the expectation that I will become more proficient. So far I am happy with the camera. I literally upgraded to the Nikon D850 from the Nikon D90. Madison Avenue Cameras helped me pick out the perfect camera for my existing DX lenses. I intend to use it mostly for sports events and wildlife photography. I cannot praise Madison Avenue Cameras enough for their expert advice and fast service.

  Recently bought a 35mm film camera, Olympus OM 2 from Luke at Madison Ave Cams. Great price, great service. Highly recommended. Having bought from here before, I can say with hand on heart, that the aftersales is brilliant. In summary, great shop, vast stocks, very helpful, know their stuff and a great independent store, well worth the journey.

  Amazing Selection & Price I got this Sigma 16mm fast. It came quick. Madison Avenue Cameras answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable with my purchase. The lens works great with my Sony a6400. I am in awe with the results. I will begin night night/street, vlogging, and landscape on my own channel and for my girlfriend. I am so excited with so many new ideas. Ordering online was easy because I was able to communicate with a rep through the online chat.

  Got the Sony Vertical grip to add some much needed balance to my Sony A7R4 with a big lens. Beautifully made as you would expect. Excellent service from Madison Avenue Cameras as usual, delivered to my hotel whilst on vacation in New York with no drama.

  Great help from the staff, very competitive prices, always find everything advertised (fast shipping services if not in local store), if ordering large format printers they deliver it into your home (if you live in an apartment building you don't have the strength or the friends to carry your printer to the floor you live on)

  Madison' repaired my Tamron 150-200mm lens which two other repairers had said the part was no longer available, very good price and complete within 2 weeks. Very happy with the service and outcome.

  Brilliant service, I shall be back! Went into Madison today to buy a new camera, my first proper professional camera! Served by Davies and Scott, they both reassured me that the camera I was buying was the right call. Giving me loads of advice, tips and tricks to use in the future.

  Unfit Telephoto zoom The NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR does fit on a D40X but I could not get it to focus either manually or on the auto setting. I had to return the lens. I would not purchase this lens for the D40X.

  Unhelpful and stupid Tried to order a small secondhand accessory. The Checkout added $130 to the bill, apparently because I am in Canada. Which is odd, because I live in NY. Rang up and complained at this nonsense - the item is small and light enough to go in a jiffy bag for $20 by post. The response was utterly unhelpful - If I wanted it, I could pay $130 carriage. Utterly stupid, utterly unhelpful. They don't deserve to stay in business with that attitude.

  I bought my Pentax there, plus 3 lenses and a gorilla pod. Apart from the fact that the price was really very fair, I found the advice really good. They took their time and exchanged ideas to enable the best lens selection. Overall, I would recommend everyone to think about what you need the products for and then to put yourself in good hands there.

  Great knowledge and service at Madison Avenue Cameras!! I am a bit of an amateur when it comes to mirrorless cameras with nodding acquaintance. But I had an idea of the price I wanted to spend and the camera I was interested in. I went to Madison' in Manhattan. I was served by Davies his Knowledge and friendly manner were top-class he explained my options and I never felt pressured to buy. In the end I came away with a much better camera and lens a second battery and a couple of memory cards. I also traded in my film camera. In the end I spent a lot less then I had intended but came away with a better camera and lot of great kit. I will defiantly be returning to this great shop I couldn’t recommend Madison Avenue Cameras or Davies more highly.

  Godox V350F is working with my Nikon, but without TTL functionality. Unfortunately, because their pin configurations are incompatible, regardless of the one you buy (V350F or V350N), one of my two systems would operate with reduced functionality.

  I've been coming back again and again since 2010. Have purchased Manfrotto 055, Canon EF 100-400 MKII, OLYMPUS OM-D EM5 MKII with the kit lens, last year a tripod again, Manfrotto element, two weeks ago the Sigma 150-600 S and many little things that I had already forgotten ...   Poor Customer Service Having placed an order with Madison Avenue Cameras for a Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing over 2 weeks ago; which was, and still is showing available on their website, I was told it was not available and waiting for stock. Twice I was told it would be with me in a week and still nothing. Disappointing customer service from them with no contact unless I chased the order up. Their website should not show a product to be available if they can not complete an order! Very disappointing!!

  Took the worry out of taking camera on the river! I am an avid tide pooler and I was looking to step up my photography from a waterproof point-and-shoot. So I bought the WP-S10 as it inspires more confidence than other similar products that I have seen. Just as described. The product arrived earlier than expected, arrived in excellent condition, I'm from New Jersey and arrived a day and a half after I made the order. I am very happy with the product :)
