  I personally only go to Madison ave cams to look around. You can find better deals online or at a Nikon service center. Yes, staff is friendly but if you have done any research on what you're looking to buy you are probably more knowledgeable in the subject.

  Perfect for Birds This Sony DSC-HX400V is my bridge due to better zoom, more control. Buttons and operation are intuitive, better pixels, excellent zoom. I take walks and take pictures or just bird watch, started as a covid thing. Only drawback is the same write-time issue that you wait and miss more of a good shot while it writes, no matter what upgraded SD card you use. Still, I love it, it's perfect for what I want it for. Great price and service at M.A.C. Amazing really, I bought a used bridge camera first from M.A.C; Not the right choice, I knew it immediately. Packed it back up carefully, returned it, did a little more research. Happy.

  Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens We purchased this to go with a new A7RIV, so far my wife like it because it is lighter than the NIKKOR lens.   Magnus TR-13 Travel Tripod I could not be any happier with my purchase of the travel tripod. It arrived quickly and was well packaged. My first use was a hiking trip in the Dead Mountains Wilderness of California. The tripod fit easily into my pack and was efficient to set up. I was most impressed by the stability. Even when working with long exposures in the river flow, the Magnus keep me tack sharp! Well done!

  Great Camera Kit Camera was a gift and it is a great camera with many features! Perfect camera for hobbyist who wants better quality and options than those available with cell phone cameras.   I purchased the Olympus ED 60mm f/2.8 macro lens for my new Olympus OM-D10. It is a small lens but has large capabilities. I am very impressed with its versatility and sharpness. I bought it specifically for macro work and, so far, I am pleased with the results. M.A.C delivered on time and provided excellent service.

  WOW! This place is a pro video heaven. I'm in a quarantine re-do a training studio for live stream interactive session & decided I wanted a bigger camcorder. Whew BABY! I had a budget but totally blew it because the camcorder I wanted vs the one (Sony HXR-NX80 4K ) I ended up with was so much different picture & sound quality wise. The reps are very well informed about product information so I was impressed. I had a great experience from beginning to end. Delivery was quick & easy as well!

  Great service here. Had to be one of those unfortunate customers that had to come in the day after Christmas, apologies for that in the first place. But this store took care of the product-photography camera center in seconds, used it as store credit to buy a LUMIX G85. Everyone was happy to help, couldn't have been better.   Store looks empty reminds me of Kmart I think this location will be closing like Rochester soon. It's a shame because the staff here is really friendly and attentive, I walked into Madison Ave Cams three times to buy a Canon EOS 6D Mark II and wasn't even acknowledged.

  Nice D5600 Package...Great business!! Decent piece of kit for an intermediate user. Not a professional grade kit but darn near! The ability to record video was the primary reason for me selecting this kit. An immediate savings off the retail price made the purchase a no-brainer! Sales, customer service, and product availability at Madison Avenue Cameras is second to none. I have recently read that another major online retailer vendors who are selling counterfeit "name brand" products. I never have to worry about that happening at Madison'. Go nowhere else...Madison Ave Cameras is number #1 in my book.

  Madison Avenue Cameras has some of the most knowledgeable and nice associates I've ever interacted with. Very refreshing to experience this level of service. The selection of products is also quite nice, and if they don't have what I want I can always order what I need and pick it up in store.   This Meyer-Optik Gorlitz Trioplan 50mm f/2.8 lens is absolutely amazing. I have an APS-C camera with amazing autofocus but I mainly use full-format cams. The first lens I received had a very very small speck of dust near the front element. So I contacted Madison Avenue Cameras about it and they sent me a return shipping label and a piece of paper to put in the package. I sent it out via FedEx on a Friday and freighted my brand new Trioplan 50 f2.8 II back by Monday morning. I love Madison Avenue Cameras and I love my new Meyer Optik Gorlitz. Thanks Madison Avenue Cameras for being so amazing and a big thank you to Davies for making the exchange process so easy! You've got a lifetime customer here!

  Amazing Selection & Price I got this Sigma 16mm fast. It came quick. Madison Avenue Cameras answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable with my purchase. The lens works great with my Sony a6400. I am in awe with the results. I will begin night night/street, vlogging, and landscape on my own channel and for my girlfriend.   So pleased with my Nikon 10x42 Monarch 5... Madison Avenue Cameras provided a fantastic service. They offered a great range of product and their knowledge was second to now, the advice they gave really helped my decision making on the right binos for my birding hobby and needs.   I am a beginner but bought this D850 camera in the expectation that I will become more proficient. So far I am happy with the camera. I literally upgraded to the Nikon D850 from the Nikon D90. Madison Avenue Cameras helped me pick out the perfect camera for my existing DX lenses. I intend to use it mostly for sports events and wildlife photography. I cannot praise Madison Avenue Cameras enough for their expert advice and fast service.

  I bought my Pentax there, plus 3 lenses and a gorilla pod. Apart from the fact that the price was really very fair, I found the advice really good. They took their time and exchanged ideas to enable the best lens selection. Overall, I would recommend everyone to think about what you need the products for and then to put yourself in good hands there.

  Godox V350F is working with my Nikon, but without TTL functionality. Unfortunately, because their pin configurations are incompatible, regardless of the one you buy (V350F or V350N), one of my two systems would operate with reduced functionality.

  Unfit Telephoto zoom The NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR does fit on a D40X but I could not get it to focus either manually or on the auto setting. I had to return the lens. I would not purchase this lens for the D40X.

  Unhelpful and stupid Tried to order a small secondhand accessory. The Checkout added $130 to the bill, apparently because I am in Canada. Which is odd, because I live in NY. Rang up and complained at this nonsense - the item is small and light enough to go in a jiffy bag for $20 by post. The response was utterly unhelpful - If I wanted it, I could pay $130 carriage. Utterly stupid, utterly unhelpful. They don't deserve to stay in business with that attitude.

  Great knowledge and service at Madison Avenue Cameras!! I am a bit of an amateur when it comes to mirrorless cameras with nodding acquaintance. But I had an idea of the price I wanted to spend and the camera I was interested in. I went to Madison' in Manhattan. I was served by Davies his Knowledge and friendly manner were top-class he explained my options and I never felt pressured to buy. In the end I came away with a much better camera and lens a second battery and a couple of memory cards. I also traded in my film camera. In the end I spent a lot less then I had intended but came away with a better camera and lot of great kit. I will defiantly be returning to this great shop I couldn’t recommend Madison Avenue Cameras or Davies more highly.

Have purchased Manfrotto 055, Canon EF 100-400 MKII, OLYMPUS OM-D EM5 MKII with the kit lens, last year a tripod again, Manfrotto element, two weeks ago the Sigma 150-600 S and many little things that I had already forgotten ...   Poor Customer Service Having placed an order with Madison Avenue Cameras for a Ikelite 200DL Underwater Housing over 2 weeks ago; which was, and still is showing available on their website, I was told it was not available and waiting for stock. Twice I was told it would be with me in a week and still nothing. Disappointing customer service from them with no contact unless I chased the order up. Their website should not show a product to be available if they can not complete an order! Very disappointing!!

  The staff is always friendly at Madison', which is great to see. They also have a decent range of cameras from DSLR to Mirrorless to P&S. They even have Hasselblad if I remember correctly. Prices may be a little higher than their competitors, but worth it for the service and peace of mind.

  Vortex 10x50 Diamondback I have become interested in owning a pair of binoculars that offered a very close focus birds that aren't too distant, as well as good for close up viewing of butterflies and dragonflies. Good value for the money.

  FABULOUS SERVICE!!! Customer service at M.A.C is stellar, and they answered all of my questions via online chat before I purchased my D3500. This camera is easy to use and takes great photos. I got everything I needed to start. The easiest path is to call M.A.C. and speak to an expert, they'll help you get all the extras you need. They talk in layman's terms and are knowledgeable . I recommend the Nikon D3500 and M.A.C wholeheartedly!

  Excellent customer service I wanted to part ex. some camera gear and started the process online. I got a quote back within 24 hours. I had some questions regarding new equipment which they answered, this helped me zero in my search for a new camera down to two cameras. Customer service online were very friendly and said if I had any further questions I wasn’t to hesitate to get in touch. I went to Madison Avenue Cameras with the items I was trading in with the aim to buy one of these two cameras. I was helped through the process by Davies who was brilliant. He answered all my questions, asked me questions, gave useful advice and pointed out the pros and cons. He was very patient with me while I pondered things over. There was no sales pressure, in fact he recommended I don’t trade in one of my items and use it with my new camera instead. I’m glad I took his advice as it does make a difference. The whole experience was great from start to finish. I highly recommended going in store and liaising with the sales team. I will definitely be doing this in the future.

  Pentax 6.5x21 U-Series Papilio II binoculars. Ordered a pair of, Papilio II binoculars, on, Sunday evening. They were the cheapest price online, received them two days later, well packaged and, in pristine condition!   I had to order twice because M.A.C will keep whatever the last address you mailed something to as your default. I'm glad it was only $40 worth of accessory I ordered for my Fuji xe-4 to North Carolina since that was the last time I ordered a product online. Madison needs to make a setting where an address can be made your default address like Amazon does.

  Absolutely incredible service today from Davies and Luke! We took in a camera that we could not remove the lens from, and Davies was so helpful in trying everything and eventually resolved the issue without charge. We got some excellent advice on purchasing a new lens cap and germane information about our hobby from Davies whilst in the shop. So much better than buying anything online. Definitely recommend it to everyone for personal service.

  I'm very pleased with my new Nikon camera! I looked around for a good price on a camera combo, and found the price at Madison Avenue Cameras to be the best deal for what they offered at the price I wanted to pay.   I came in to see Davies about Cameras and lenses. Davies discussed may different options varying in price. We then talked about lenses for portrait photography, and Davies suggested the Sigma 17-50mm f2.8. Initially they didn’t have a new one in stock but luckily Davies had a second hand one recently bought in at the store I would recommend the store

  Davies is a legend! I recently came in to buy a Fujifilm X100v and Davies really helped me out with what I was needing! Made sure I left with the body I wanted, the lens I wanted, and everything I would need and all while working to accommodate my price range! I’ve also purchased from the store prior to this and have always received impeccable service from this man!   Fantastic Service from Madison Avenue Cameras and Camera is very nice! The only complaint is I'm not in love with the kit lens but it does its job and works pretty well. Looking forward to adding a few new lenses. Madison Avenue Cameras service was fast and shipping was quick. FedEx was hard on the box but no damage to the camera or accessories.

  Sold me a demo CFexpress card as a new card. I purchased a CFexpress card at the Manhattan store, paid the full price of $120 and when I put the card in my camera the card had already photos on it. Not exactly what I would expect from an expensive American retailer. I would have been better off with a cheaper online order.

  Madison Avenue Cameras stores are always nice and clean. But I do not like the lack of price tags and the fact that at this location all the staff is very old. There no staff of my generation. But go to the smaller city stores, and you find more younger staff. But here there is not enough experience.

  Too many choices I wanted to purchase a digital microscope as a gift for my adult daughter. It was anything but simple. There are literally loads of choices and very little guidance, especially for an older person who is not familiar with all the microscopes, bells and whistles. Even a call to a Madison' "expert" was not helpful (although he was courteous and friendly).
