My daughter was lost in math. Her class size was huge and knowledge gaps were not being addressed. Worse, she was being pulled out of another class, missing valuable instruction, to get extra math help. Then, I found Learner. I could not believe our luck, as I read about their approach. As good as I thought this would be for my daughter, nothing prepared me for her first session with her tutor, Joel Acosta. In just one session, Martina was motivated again. She immediately could explain to me the big takeaway from the session: PEMDAS. She had covered this in math class and in school tutoring, but Joel was the first person who really helped her understand why the order of operations works. It stuck. She was able to apply it to her homework right away. It's one thing to find a flexible, on-line tutoring program. But people matter, too. It's clear to me that Learner recruits tutors with a genuine enthusiasm for the material and Joel's enthusiasm is infectious! My only regret is that I did not find this resource sooner!!!

From the first call I made to inquiry about Learner and their services, to the care and thought that was put into linking a tutor to my daughter, to our wonderful tutor Maxwell. I cannot say enough about how easy Robyn and Learner has made this process. I have been so stressed about my daughter's struggles with geometry and I feel like she has very good support now.

Thus far, our experience has been extraordinary. Our tutor, Monique is one of the best tutors my daughter has had in a long time. She makes the sessions engaging and fun, not redundant. I haven't seen my daughter smile about math in a long time. Monique has turned a B student into an A student in a short amount of time. I am thankful she was chosen for my daughter because it is one of the best fits. Monique is truly one of the best and I wish her much success in her future endeavors and just glad that she decided to stick with my daughter through her journey.

Since I started investigating tutoring options, I've been impressed by the communication and follow-up that comes along with Learner. Beyond that, just two sessions into the tutoring, and my daughter is already feeling increased confidence in math thanks to the patience and guidance from Joel. The format works well and we've been able to schedule sessions at the start of the week to support the entire week's learning. It's great! Linda M is a great tutor! She really helps and explains concepts in many different ways. She is also very patient and understanding. Before my daughter started working with Linda, she was FAILING High School math and lacked confidence. Linda was able to help her build confidence and break down the math problem in order for her to understand. She worked with our schedule and she was always on time to the sessions. My daughter is averaging a B+ to A on her exams and she is more confident than ever. My daughter looks forward to her weekly sessions.

My daughter has benighted greatly from her tutoring sessions with Linda. Linda always reaches out before sessions to find out what she needs to prepare for the sessions. My experience with Learner has been great and the service and tools are excellent. My son's tutor Austin B is awesome. He engage's my son in every session. He's very detailed, explains and teaches my son Math so well that my son has gained confidence in Math and he's doing so well in school. He used to think Math was difficult but after working with Austin B for almost a year, he finds Math fun and he's enjoying it. I have seen so much improvement in my son's ability to solve problems and improvement in his grades. I will definitely recommend Austin B to anyone looking for a great Math tutor. Thanks

Jack- is one of a kind! Not only he is extremely great math teach for both Nick and Sasha, but he is just so on point, always so professional, friendly, accommodating. I dont remember last time i have seen someone so dedicated in ensuring that kids understand the material and explain in such a way that we see sooo much improvement in Nick. Jack is definitely is great, so responsive and provides such an excellent experience that is super rare now days. Our hope is to keep working with Jack as long as we can, he is one of the best people we know. Cant thank him enough for everything he has done for my son and daughter.

After doing some extensive searching and trying in person math classes (at Mathnesium), I decided to go with Learner for a personalized experience. Anuja is a great tutor! She works well with my 4th grader in a way that has boosted her confidence in math and also increased her interest in Math.

Amanda is amazing. She is so accommodating to a parents request. She is so dedicated to helping her clients improve in their skills and is always trying to ensure that what she is teaching them is in line with what they are learning at school. She gives such great feedback. My child learns more from her then from her actual teacher. She has helped build my child’s confidence in math. Our ADHD 7th grader struggles with math and pre-algebra was no different. We turned to learner and got connected with Amanda B. Our daughter absolutely loves her and has gained so much confidence! Now instead of a struggle to get her to do her math work she tries on her own and then asks for help when she needs it. She says Amanda is the best!!!

TJ Elegbede is FABULOUS! My daughter has now been getting high scores, like 95%, 96%. He just really clicks well with my daughter and we're so happy, so happy! He's teaching her in such a nice way, which we really truly appreciate. So I just needed to say that, that he's doing a really really good job. I've seen a big change with my daughter and I am really happy. This is really what I wanted to see and I'm actually seeing that! So I'm really happy. She's always looking forward to the classes with him!

We’ve only been working with Austin B for a short time, but in that time we are very satisfied with his services. My son who is ten was adamant about not having a Math tutor…until he met Austin. He now looks forward to his sessions and hops off at the end, happy and confident. My son’s comprehension of Math has improved in such a short time. He now feels confident doing his homework and taking tests. We have been struggling with this for years and now in just a few sessions, Austin has changed my son’s outlook on Math. We are very pleased with Austin B and will continue these session with him for as long as needed.

I am so grateful we met Austin B! Since Peter has started working with Austin, he has not only improved his grades but has grown to really enjoy math. That is something I never thought I'd see. Austin's style is calm, personable, and encouraging. Peter likes the way he teaches new concepts and guides him through the tough parts (not just give him the correct answers). Austin's approach allows Peter to problem-solve through the work and understand it thoroughly. I can't imagine Peter advancing in math without Austin. Thank yo so much!!

About a month into the school year, with many evenings of tears & frustrations, attempting to complete Algebra homework with an on-demand tutoring service (offered by the school), I realized my 13-year-old daughter needed a change. Almost immediately after reaching out to Learner, an advisor contacted me to schedule a session. Although I explained that my daughter, with ADHD, required a tutor that would be firm, positive and able to keep her focused, I was a bit skeptical. Well, I was pleasantly surprised when my daughter met her match. Linda O. is simply AMAZING! Not only is she extremely knowledgeable, but she is highly skilled in dealing with kids that struggle to learn. Linda O. is always prepared, fun & energetic, which is perfect for keeping my daughter engaged. She constantly provides praise, which has built confidence & self-esteem. At the conclusion of each session, my daughter always says she wishes that Linda O. were her Algebra teacher. My family absolutely loves Linda O.!!

It has been a great experience for our son who is dyslexic, so math is not easy, we tried a few other options before finding learner and have been very pleased with the tutor he was matched up with. In just 4 sessions, my son who has executive dysfunction and gets anxiety around math has begun to truly understand math. Maxwell G is supportive, direct, kind and really TEACHES. You can not beat a 14 y/o laughing over a college calculus class! . . Academic confidence comes from subject matter mastery and Amanda has really helped build my daughters academic confidence. Linda O. is incredible. My son has struggled with math since COVID and we looked at a lot of options before selecting Learner. We were introduced to Linda O. and are so thankful for how much she has helped our son. His confidence has increased and he doesn’t get frustrated like he used to. Amanda B. has been a true blessing for our family. Our son has improved significantly in algebra with her help. She genuinely cares about his success and it shows. She reaches out to us constantly with feedback on his progress after each session. She is even coordinating with his math teacher at school to ensure her sessions align with the current lessons. Sandra G has done a wonderful job working with my high schooler. He started the year behind schedule and barely passing and now comes to his tutoring sessions with confidence. He is aiming for honors credit and currently has an A. I highly recommend Sandra G. My son has been using Learner for Honors Algebra for several months now. Twice weekly he has online tutoring with Patrick D. Immediately, I saw an improvement in both my son's attitude toward math and his grades. Patrick takes the time to teach the material to ensure that my son fully understands the steps required to get to the correct answer. Our experience has been with my 9 year old daughter who needed extra math help. She is in 3rd grade, and has struggled for 2 years with basic to grade level mathematics. I was pleased that she could have lessons at home that fit her schedule, and mine. She meets once weekly. My daughter enjoys her meeting with her tutor Alexandra, and looks forward to them! She is engaged the entire hour, which can be difficult at that age. Alexandra and I have frequent communication for me to update her and share my daughters progress in school. Alexandra has also made suggestions of fun math games for Giuliana to work on independently outside of school and tutoring. Alexandra has been professional, personable, and supportive in my daughters education in math. I am very pleased and would recommend Alexandra as a tutor, and the Learner company to work with!
