John Schultz has been absolutely brilliant with helping my daughter to love and most importantly understand Math Advanced Algebra! My child has improved her score at school and her confidence with finals makes me feel proud ! I would strongly recommend for any student to learn with John Schultz. This has been such a great service for my daughter who has really struggled with math over the years. Her teacher does not really explain things well; however, her tutor is able to break it down and explain in ways she understands and makes it so much less daunting. The flexibility of when to do sessions based on her quiz/test dates has been so helpful! Would highly recommend!

Jack is an excellent computer science tutor. He explains difficult concepts in a way that is easy to understand per my son. He is very accessible and always taking the time to check in about the student and being very supportive. My son was able to get his AP CSA class grade to a solid A. He will take the AP in May. We would recommend Jack highly. Jack is incredibly kind and responsive to parents and students and goes over and beyond to provide help even at short notice. One time, my son was stressed over something he was struggling with and Jack had no sessions available for that day but he took the time to visit in between for 15 minutes and that was just perfect. It clicked after their conversation.

Melissa H. Has been a my daughter's tutor for the last few years as she has attended High School. Melissa has laid a foundation of mathematical knowledge and and been so supportive to my daughter. Melissa is very experienced, calm, consistent, patient, knowledgable and kind. This support has become evident in my daughters grade in her Algebra 2 class last quarter, which was an A! I wanted to take a moment to share how grateful we are to our son’s tutor, Cary Mallon. When my son was matched with Cary, he was in a pretty dire situation in his math class, to the point where he was feeling completely lost and hopeless. Not only did they have a lot in common on a personal level, but Cary has been so patient with my son in regards to meeting him where he was in his current knowledge and his learning style. After just two weeks, my son’s entire attitude and confidence has changed completely and we owe it all to Cary! I’m so relieved my son found an amazing tutor to support him through this course! Linda M. was an excellent tutor for my daughter. She was patient and kind when working with my daughter on her Algebra problems. Also she was very flexible with her schedule to fit a tutoring session in before a test. I would definitely recommend Linda M. if your child is struggling with math.

Our daughter was really being challenged in her 9th grade honors math class, but she refused to drop down a level. We were a bit concerned with her passing the course, and having a rough start to high school, so we decided to support her efforts by finding a math tutor. After a fair amount of research, we chose to work with Learner, and Learner introduced us to our tutor, Ondre R. I can honestly say that Ondre has completely exceeded our expectations. He's calm, patient, flexible, and has shown that he really cares about our daughter succeeding. Our daughter was literally getting D's on every test, and she's now getting A's and B's. We have a long way to go, but her tutoring sessions with Ondre have boosted her confidence, and she now says that math is her favorite class. We're very happy to have Ondre in our corner, helping our daughter get over her first 'major' academic hurdle.

Amanda is a fantastic math tutor! Both my children work with her (7th grade algebra and 11th grade precalculus) . They have different learning styles and different needs, yet they both really value their time with Amanda and she does a great job cueing into what practice will be most impactful for them. Amanda was phenomenal in creating a summer program to help my son move up the the math level he really wanted to be in this school year. She reviewed the curriculum and made a schedule of tutoring and homework to help him get where he wanted to be. Amanda is incredibly kind, patient, and focuses on the positive which both my children really like and respond well to. We feel very lucky to have found Amanda.

Ondre R. has is a great algebra tutor. My child hasn't always been enthusiastic about doing math, but she looks forward to meeting with Ondre and gets a lot accomplished during the sessions. Finding a math tutor who is not only knowledgeable but patient and understanding is not easy. Ondre R has a special gift where he can breakdown difficult concepts in ways my daughter can understand. He uses real life examples to make concepts relatable and over all make sense to my daughter. His patient guidance and encouragement helped my daughter never feel embarrassed or inadequate for not understanding. She always felt welcomed and at ease. As a result, her confidence in math soared. I am extremely pleased with Lerner. I love the way they match the tutor to the student. At the start of the school year my son felt defeated and hopeless, then we were match with Ondre R. My daughter's tutor is Joy B. Joy is a very patient and a good tutor who understands the needs of my daughter. She was struggling in Geometry a lot and Joy helped her to reach A grade. We saw the progress quite fast within 4 classes and she is a very flexible and accomodative tutor. We needed some one who was really patient and understanding of where my daughter was struggling. She completely fulfilled that and my daughter liked each session she had with her. She created a positive learning experience with her. I would recommend her for anyone who is looking not only for knowledge but also for patience and for being positive.

Amanda B is the best. My daughter has gone from being scared to ask questions in math and struggling with concepts to making the honor roll every term. We couldn’t have done it without Amanda. My daughter loves her sessions! However, the new Learner payment plan is terrible! Amanda helps me manage it but it was much easier before. If it wasn’t for Amanda, we would have quit. It takes too long to manage and it’s definitely not user friendly. Thanks Amanda! You are the best! You are kind and patient and supportive!

We used to receive tutoring from Mathnasium prior to switching to Learner. My child did not enjoy working with his tutors at Mathnasium towards the end due to their rudeness and disrespectful behaviors toward my child. My child would come up with reasons not to work with the Mathnasium tutors. However, since switching to Learner, my child has had a very positive experience with his new math tutor, Jack R. Working one on one with him has been a welcoming and fantastic experience for my child. The tutor has been very helpful in working with my child on areas that he needs to improve on and in explaining new and difficult topics. We are very grateful Mohammad P is my daughter’s math tutor from learner. My daughter is taking AP calculus BC as a high school student. She skipped the calculus AP. In October last year my daughter’ calc BC score dropped to B, then to C. We found Mohammad from learner. After about one month, my daughter’s score improved from C to high B, then back to A. He makes the difficult concept easy understandable. He not only helped my daughter with the math, more importantly, he helped her rebuild her self confidence. Mohammad is flexible on the hours. We did have time conflict and he worked his best way to accommodate us. I really appreciated his help. Mohammad P is the BEST math tutor!

Mohammad is a very diligent and caring tutor. He takes time to explain things when concepts are not sully understood and he provides a lot of context to what he is teaching to ensure a firm grasp on the material for the student. I highly recommend his tutoring as you will learn at an accelerated rate and be prepared for what classes you are taking or have on the horizon.

Mohammad. P has been working with me for a month now and I've felt a significant change in my academic performance for my pre-calculus class. Although I had always been a good student in math, I struggled quite a bit since the start of this school year in this particular course. However, as soon as I started working with Mohammad. P, that all changed. He made sure to guide me through every topic that I was learning in class and managed to explain the process to me in a way that allowed me to fully comprehend it. I am now regaining my confidence in the classroom and feel comfortable asking questions all while raising my overall grade. Without Mohammad. Ruthann has been tutoring our third grader for about three months now, and we couldn't be happier. We sought out Learner because our son needed a little more help with his writing, and Learner did a great job matching us with Ruthann. She has been a great fit for our son and us as parents. Since starting tutoring, our son has become so much stronger at editing his own work. Ruthann has also worked with him on his proper nouns, pronouns, adjectives, etc. When we asked our son to tell us why he enjoys his time with Ruthann, he said, "It is fun!" What more could we ask for? :) As parents, we really welcome all the positive support Ruthann provides to our son. She has great tips and tricks, positive feedback, and life skills for him. She also provides great extra worksheets and games without the pressure of them being due as "homework." It is as though our son has one additional person in his life cheering him on, and that is what makes Ruthann so special to our family.

We LOVE Linda. Ryan looks forwards to her sessions with Linda. Linda makes math enjoyable and lightens the stress for Ryan. Because of Linda, Ryan has improved so much in her ability to interpret math, mainly word problems. Linda works hard to make herself available and is willing to arrange her schedule to fit Ryan’s. Linda out-of-the-box teaching approach is perfect for Ryan’s learning style. Linda seeks creative ways to engage Ryan and help her understand the foundational concepts. I have been a homeschool mom from K to senior . My son Seth needed help with math starting around his 9th grade year. Where do I begin? Jack R is amazing! He encourages, engages, and helped my son who was failing in math, do so much better! My son is what you would call somewhat of an introvert, so it's [as you can imagine] kind of hard to get through to. Not for Jack R! He's so understanding, and has so much patience. Learner has been great, and our son loves his Math Tutor, Irina M. The flexibility is great for our busy schedule, the communication with the tutor directly to us the parents has also been great. Ondre is a very professional and experienced educator with extensive knowledge of calculus. Our son has tried many math tutors and he appreciates Ondre's teaching style, explanations, error correction feedback and best of all, his charismatic and friendly demeanor. He has helped our son make huge improvements in math as well as SAT prep scores. Having expert math knowledge is only one part of the equation, the other is knowing how to teach it and how to individualize instruction. Ondre has both qualities and we highly recommend him.

My son, who is at 11th grade, started precalculus tutoring sessions with Mohammad about 4 weeks ago. So far, he felt those sessions to be very helpful. Mohammad is able to clearly explain some of those complicated precalculus concepts in a straightforward way, which my son has been struggling to grasp in the past several months. I can feel that my son is gradually regaining confidence on the math! His teacher recently started calculus and I can't wait for my son to continue learning math with Mohammad and improve this math grades before the college application starts!

Ondre has been instrumental in helping our son make a dramatic increase in both SAT prep and Pre Calculus math. He is extremely professional and attentive. Having the expertise in math is only part of the equation, the other is understanding how to teach it and Ondre has both skill sets. We’ve been with Learner for over a year and we’ve had a great experience. My son’s tutor Austin B is an awesome tutor, he’s patient and warms up to his students to make them feel comfortable in their learning environment. We tried other services prior to coming to Learner but we didn’t get the results we were looking for. My son Ed was struggling in Math prior to being tutored by Austin B but he’s built the confidence my son has in math today. He’s taught him different strategies, he explains problems to my son in details, keeps him engaged and he’s not afraid to answer questions. He practices math, enjoys solving problems, he’s meeting his goals and he’s making between 88 to 100 in math. My son is also helping other students with their math problems. We’re happy with the significant improvement we’ve seen in our son ever since Austin B started tutoring him and we’re glad with the services we’ve received from Learner. We highly recommend Austin B and the Learner program.

I had an amazing experience with Mohammad. I was really struggling with calculus and that completely changed after I started my sessions. He was patient understanding and an outstanding tutor. Mohammad P. Is the best tutor I ever had. This was the first time I tried an online tutor due to taking calculus over the summer and I went from failing a 16 week course to making over a hundred in a five week course. He also helped me maintain an A in physics and engineering the next semester and was genuinely a life savor. Going to class while being chronically ill was devastating my grades, but with his help I was able to accomplish a lot more than I thought possible.

Since we started with Colleen in Sept 2023, our daughter has really developed a new confidence in her maths abilities. We were looking for a math tutor for our 6th grader and 8th grader. We wanted to keep them slightly ahead in class, because sometimes the school teachers don't have time to actually teach the material before assigning homework. This would create a very frustrating situation for all of us. Learner allowed us to try out different tutors till we found a fantastic tutor in Abby C. Both kids absolutely love their sessions with her. My 8th grader routinely says how if it weren't for Abby, the homework would be way too hard. My 6th grader really likes the way that she teaches and provides tips on how to solve problems. Both kids are in accelerated math, and are getting A's!

We have been using learner for the last 9 months and have had a great experience. My kids tutor Hannah N. is great. She has a great approach with the kids. My 16 year old son, who was totally against tutoring finds the sessions with her very beneficial and has never asked to skip the lesson with her. He says that math makes so much more sense when Hannah explains it to him. Hannah is also very flexible when it comes to scheduling classes which makes it easy for me. My daughter only had a few sessions with her but likes the way she explains.

From day 1 Hannah N. put us at ease by giving a presentation on her life so we could get to know her. My son who is nervous with new people took to her right away and he has stated that Hannah N. is the best tutor he has ever had and teaches him math better than any teacher he has ever had. She probably deserves 5 stars, but the technology with Learner is not as user-friendly as I would like, and while Linda is great, im still not doing as well as I should...more my fault than hers.

Ellis is great. He displays a strong initiative knowledge of the subject matter and is able to help the student understand the intuition when working through applied problems. My daughter, Sydney has been working with Ricky for the past few weeks. Science isn’t an easy subject for my daughter , who is Dyslexic. We had been searching for a tutor for quite some time and it wasn’t easy to locate one that would connect well with Sydney. From the beginning, Ricky has been flexible when we needed to change our schedule or when we needed an urgent session to prep for a quiz. In her own words, my daughter had expressed that she is able to remember concepts more quickly after Ricky explains it. Learner has been a great resource for assistance in algebra one for my son’s freshman year. Scheduling is easy using the app and available timeslots. Rescheduling is also convenient on the website app our tutor is beyond knowledgeable in algebra, and is able to teach in multiple ways to make learning easier. Minimal time is wasted during sessions. Questions are always answered in a timely manner via text! We especially appreciate Margie E. Because she is encouraging while still staying on task and completing a lot of information in a short amount of time. I decided to sign up my daughter as well to use Margie as a tutor because I’d like for her to get ahead of the game in math prior to next year‘s curriculum. She too loves Margie already!

Linda M has been working with my daughter since August and she is absolutely wonderful! My daughter is in 9th grade taking Algebra 2 honors in addition to playing 2 varsity sports and a very busy schedule. Linda M is super flexible with her schedule and has even worked with her from vacation! She is smart, knowledgeable and extremely patient. My daughter went from really struggling to the top student in her class with a 95% last quarter! I would say all the tutors are smart, and can teach, but Linda M has taught my daughter more than math, she has taught her to be confident and really enjoy math for the first time. I hesitate to send this review because Linda M is always booked up already and I want to continue helping my daughter through her entire high school experience. Beth

Working with Linda M. had been amazing. My curriculum Saxon Math teaches concepts, however, Linda M. has been helpful in explaining the formula associated with them. She has helped me understand concepts and formulas. During sessions we work through problems and revisit older concepts from previous lessons. I had heard about Learner from a friend at work. I loved the idea of matching a tutor to not only the subject my child needed the most support in, but also by her learning style and personality. I spoke with Tim D. who warmly reassured me he could find the right person for my daughter, “R”. I admit I was skeptical at first, thinking it could just be that he's a great salesman. Then, once we met with Sarina K, I knew Tim had paid attention to everything we’d spoken about. R needed someone who could connect with her as a person before she could really open up about what she was struggling with. Sarina K. did that from the moment we met with her. My daughter needed support in English/Language Arts, specifically, how to analyze a story, develop a conclusion regarding the author's intent and then how to structure an outline for assignments about that text. After sharing that R is a very linear thinker and that supposition was something she struggled with, Sarina suggested approaching it as a science project. Together, they could form a hypothesis based on a theory and draw an inference from the evidence they found. Sarina was able to adapt a very creative, intuitive process into a concrete, step-by-step series of actions and do it with kindness and warmth. No one had ever presented it like that before! Because Sarina took the time to do this, R began to feel comfortable enough to ask Sarina questions when she didn’t understand, something she struggles to do in class with her teacher. I feel that learning is like a big Jenga tower. If pieces are missing at the base, the entire structure is weaker. Sarina has been able to add the missing pieces in my daughter's English/Language Arts knowledge, giving a sturdier foundation to build further knowledge.

Our experience with Learner tutors has been exceptional. I reviewed and met with various tutoring services and the entire communication process with Learner was straightforward, clear, and consistent. Our math tutor is Murad and he is the reason our son is understanding precalculus and doing very well. Our son looks forward to his classes and feels very confident in his math skills - all because of Murad. We highly recommend Learner for math and English. Our assigned English tutor is Katherine W and she was exceptional. Our son is in 9th grade and we intend to maintain tutoring with Learner all through his high school years.
