  We found learner while searching for a tutor for my son. I was very hesitant to try an online service. We had an initial online chat with a tutor who we didnt feel fit my son. The staff understood and found a better suited tutor and we tried again. She was wonderful. I took a few tutoring sessions for my son to fully engage, but she was able to connect to him and get him to engage with her. We noticed after after several sessions that things were improving. Patience is key. Nothing can change overnight. It takes time to build a relationship and it takes time to learn. His tutor was phenomenal. She helped him with executive functioning while helping him with his assignments. He grew in confidence every session. His teachers expressed their happiness in his progress at school and his engagement. He was starting to want to help his sister with her homework. He has become happier as a kid since we have come to learner. His confidence has grown and that's exactly what he was missing. He wasn't getting the one on one instruction in school that he needed to succeed. As parents, we are 100% satisfied with Learner. Tutors are easy to connect with as well as the staff.

  Neena Billimoria is a truly wonderful tutor. Her understanding of concepts is crystal clear, and she has a unique ability to break down even the most complex topics into simple, easy-to-understand steps. What really stands out is her incredible patience—she never rushes and always makes sure the child fully grasps the concept before moving on. She brings a warm, friendly energy to each session, and her fun, engaging teaching style keeps my child interested and excited to learn. Neena also adapts her teaching to match the child’s learning pace and style, which has helped build both confidence and curiosity. Beyond academics, she genuinely cares about her students’ growth and progress. My child looks forward to every class with her, and I’ve seen noticeable improvement not just in performance, but also in attitude toward learning.   Devin K. was an excellent fit and a big help! Initially our son experienced challenges with math and lacked confidence in his abilities. However, after just a few months, the improvement has been remarkable! Devin has a fantastic way of explaining difficult concepts in a way that makes them easier to understand. His patience, encouragement, and fun personalized approach really made a difference. Not only did our son's grades improve, but his attitude toward math also changed. He now enjoys the subject more and feels more confident tackling challenges. We would highly recommend Devin for anyone searching for a tutor!

  LaQuinta brought my daughter from a 58 to an 89.5 in her Algebra exams within a month of starting tutoring. She has not only managed to help my student raise her overall grade in Algebra from a 71 to an 86, but she has managed to actually get to enjoy math again. I cannot speak highly enough of LaQuinta and her amazing fit with my daughter.

  Joel A. has been an outstanding tutor for Fay in her Dual Enrollment Calculus course. In just a few weeks, he transformed her experience from frustration and stress to confidence and success.   John S. is fantastic. My daughter was struggilng with Algebra, got her first F on a test. After several weeks with John, she was back on track. Schools just can't give one-on-one support. John was patient and great at explaining concets. She finished the year strong.

  We signed up for one session with Linda M for our 9th grader. It was very helpful. He went from being confused to feeling confident after that one session. Also appreciate Linda's flexibility with scheduling and prompt responses. Great experience. Will use again if we think they need a little extra help.

  Great learning experience for our son .. His math tutor, Sashank was an excellent match . He understood my child’s learning style and helped him work through challenging problems which used to overwhelm my son .. my son now is very confident with math topics and his interest in math got boosted after the tutoring sessions .. we feel very fortunate to have found learner and the tutor Sashank for our son !

  Our daughter was struggling HARD with 7th grade pre-algebra. After a semester of unsuccessfully providing her with our own help we decided to find a tutor. Taking into consideration our work and after school schedules of the household, we knew we needed flexibility and convenience, not driving to another location, or sharing a tutor with multiple students at one time. After extensive online research, I happened upon Learner, what caught my eye was the questionnaire I completed, which assisted the team in matching up our daughter with the perfect tutor, Cecelia C. Also, the sessions are completed via video visits at home, so there is no need to leave the house. After the first session, I was extremely happy with how well the two of them worked together, my daughter was skeptical at first, but Cecelia C. was able to teach her in a way that she understood and more importantly, had fun doing so! My daughter now looks forward to her sessions and asks every day "when do I get to see Ms. Cecelia again?" Her test grades went from 35, yes, 35, to mid-80's within three 1-hour sessions with Cecilia C. Not only have we seen growth in her confidence, grades and attitude towards math, her teacher has as well. We have already recommended Learner to many friends with children and her pre-algebra teacher has already recommended Learner to others based on our experience alone! I cannot recommend Learner enough, if you're skeptical, just do it. Thanks to Learner and more importantly, Ms. Cecelia C. for helping our daughter!!!!

  Eppie is a phenomenal statistics tutor. I was stuck in a situation at school where my teacher wasn’t very knowledgeable about statistics. I had tried to look at online materials, ask friends for help, and search for additional practice, but nothing seemed to stick. Eppie’s tutoring sessions immediately aided me to better understand the concepts. Since tutoring with her, I’ve seen a dramatic improvement in my grade. She provides a variety of methods to help me understand a concept from all aspects. She also creates a space where I feel not only comfortable, but encouraged to ask questions and make mistakes so I can progress in my learning. I’m so grateful that I found Eppie to help tutor me.

  It was very easy to find a great tutor for my calculus class. They have tutors for almost every subject and the administrators are great at matching you up with tutors that match your availability. If you need a math tutor (especially for calculus), I would highly recommend Eppie Farrell. She has a very through knowledge of math and she is very good at explaining new concepts. I learn more with my two hours a week with her than I do when I’m actually in class. I’ve been able to get ahead of my class, so I already know about new topics before we officially cover them in school.

  After a rocky first try, Learner hit it out of the park with recommending Emily J. for my daughter. They listened to my feedback, were transparent and sympathetic. I couldn’t be more pleased with this company. Emily J. is perfect for my daughter! She is warm and knowledgeable. She got to know my daughter quickly and used the information I gave her about my daughter’s personality, learning style and academic needs to personalize instruction and support. Emily is very responsive in communicating with me. I can email or text, which is amazing!!! If I send her materials or suggestions for concepts to work on with my daughter, she uses them. She’s able to come up with things on her own, though, based on conversations she has with my daughter in her sessions. My daughter’s algebra teacher commented to me recently that my daughter is more engaged now in class and is more confident in her math abilities. What a great testament to the positive impact Emily has had! My daughter is happier, her teacher is happier and I’m happier, knowing that Learner and Emily are there to help. I highly recommend Emily J. to anyone who is looking for a great tutor!

  Learner is the best tutoring platform that I’ve found. It’s really easy to use the classroom and find great tutors that match your availability. My calculus tutor, Eppie Farrell, is an amazing tutor. She has a very expansive knowledge of math and explains things very clearly. What I would normally spend hours trying to learn on my own, doesn’t even take 30 minutes to learn with Eppie. With her tutoring, I am able to get ahead of my class, so when we learn about new topics in school, I can actually follow along and help my friends with homework. I would not be able to take such a hard class without her help so I’m very grateful to have found her.

  Amanda B is awesome! She has tutored my son for almost 3 years (from pre-algebra into algebra with quadratics and beginning geometry) and my daughter for 2 years (in precalculus and now calculus). My kids have very different personalities and approaches to learning and they both love Ms. Amanda! She is kind, patient, and really helps to explain concepts in a way that they understand.   We have been so pleased working with Stephanie R. over the last few months. From the initial consultation/family meeting to the weekly SAT tutoring sessions with our daughter, we have found our Learner experience extremely positive thanks to Stephanie. In addition to a heavy workload at school, our daughter participates in after school sports and is subject to the hectic schedule of a high school student - there is always a lot going on! Understanding this, Stephanie is always willing and able to meet us where we are at any given moment. Her SAT sessions with our daughter are challenging - Stephanie pushes our daughter and she assigns homework after each session but she also understands the demands on our daughter's schedule and is willing to accommodate! Stephanie makes sure her time with our daughter is efficient and effective and she provides written feedback (the good, the bad + the ugly!) after each session, which is helpful and appreciated! Since day one, Stephanie has been a JOY to work with. She is accommodating, a great communicator and she is always quick to respond. Our daughter takes the SAT in a few weeks and we know she will go into the test with a much better handle on the subject matter and with more confidence than she had prior to working with Stephanie.   Learner.com has been a pleasure to work with. When looking for a math tutor for my daughter, she really wanted the ability to select her tutor and swap if it didn't feel right. She was a little hesitant hearing that Learner matched tutors but after review them and another popular online tutoring company, selected Learner. While the first tutor wasn't a match, they nailed it on the second match with Mariyah Pressley. Her anxiety about math lessened and was able to maintain an A, which was her goal.   Amanda is amazing! Both of my kids (ages 15 and 11) work with Amanda twice a week. She has made our math journey so much better! They are more confident, get all their questions answered and are seeing much success in math class. They have both gone from struggling to keep up to being one step ahead. Even better, it takes the pressure off of me to help them with their homework. I can focus on being mom rather than math teacher.   Mohammad is an amazing tutor! He is very knowledgeable on the subject and doesn’t mind answering any of my questions when they arise. He makes sure to go over a multitude of math questions to make sure I understand the material fully and helps me with my homework. I never truly thought I was someone that would mesh well with a tutor, and in the beginning, doubted my abilities to grasp the subject. But the first time I was paired with him, when I lacked motivation and barely thought I was paying attention, I reviewed my notes and knew more than I ever thought I could. It was then when I knew Mohammad was the right tutor for me! He’s been an amazing confidence booster and I couldn’t have done Calc 2 without him! Shout out Mohammad. Give him a raise!

  Learner has been FANTASTIC! THE TUTOR MATCH? AMAZING!! My daughter is taking a college level calculus class. She's always been good with math, but recently calculus was not clicking for her, so there was Joel A!! What a great tutoring experience.   Learner provided an amazing geometry tutor for my son. He takes the time to explain the concepts in a way that make sense to my son. He also makes the student demonstrate that they really understand the concept, rather than just taking their word for it. In 2 months my son went from getting a 14 on his exam to getting an 85 on his exam. Having a tutor who can recognize my son's learning style and utilize it during his sessions has made all the difference.

  I’m in college, and Calculus I was stressing me out big time. The lectures were fast-paced, and I couldn’t keep up. Joel saved me! He walked me through derivatives and integrals step by step and showed me different ways to approach problems. After just a few months of tutoring, I went from barely passing to a solid B+.   Before working with Joel, I felt completely lost in precalculus. Trigonometry, limits, and functions all seemed impossible to understand. But Joel made everything click!   My son has been working with Cecelia for about a year, and we couldn’t be more grateful for her support.   Learner was a life saver for my son and daughter who struggle with Math! They did not feel comfortable asking questions in class and didn’t want to use peer tutors for the same reason. They loved that they could do math tutoring in our home and ask any questions they felt they needed. We did once a week Tutoring for an hour. We love our tutor, Eppie! She is very patient and explains things well and goes through whatever they need help with! The Learner options are great! We put our account on hold during the summer and then when my son was busy with sports we dropped to 30 minutes a week to help with busy schedules.

  My daughter has been working with Mandi A since last spring. They focused on Algebra 1. Mandi was a huge help. My daughter passed and became more confident with a subject she was struggling with. They continue to work together this year on Geometry and some basic math skills, with my daughter receiving A's and B's. Mandi is very flexible, as we have changed our meeting time at the last minute several times. She will work late in the evening (sometimes after 9pm) and on weekends. Her flexibility has been one of reason the relationship has lasted. My daughter never seems to complain about these sessions, which is a testament to Mandi's ability as an experienced teacher.

  My son's math tutor, Mohammad, has been an incredible help! Each week, he is able to help my son with areas where he is struggling with his Advanced Math homework. More importantly, he helps him prepare for tests, which make up 80% of his grade. Before working with Mohammad, my son had a C in math, but thanks to his guidance and support, he's raised his grade to a B+. Mohammad provides great feedback after meeting with my son, is always punctual and prepared with test problems. I highly recommend him to any parent looking for a knowledgeable and supportive math tutor.

  I’ve had positive results with Learner. My son hate anything to do with school work and yes I say hate. Maybe because he had bad experience when he was just 2 yrs old at a school now he is 13 and still not a fan. He was failing Maths at a 50% average when Linda O started tutoring him. In 4 sessions he move from a 50 to a 80% average. I was tired of online tutoring and was looking into in person tutoring. I said ok am gonna give online another try and he also begged me to let him do online. When we had the first trial session with Linda O we liked her approach and her plans. She took the time to get to know him so he felt comfortable. She is patient and take the time to help him to understand that now I can hear him saying that this is easy and he’s able to explain the steps to me so I can understand. Thanks Linda O. She always answers her text and emails and for that we are happy. I would recommend Linda O to any parent or child that needs the best tutor. Thanks again Linda and thanks Learner.

  After a lot of searching I found Learner. They offered a trial class with Sarah and she was a hit. Not only does she know her stuff, she’s super nice and my daughter loves her.   Getting my child connected with Sarah S. has made a noticeable improvement in her Math confidence, performance, and grades. Abby likes the fact that Sarah listens to what she has to say. I appreciate the ability to communicate and schedule directly with Sarah. It’s been a bit confusing in who to reach out to if/when there are issues (since my child is on her second tutor, and her first was not as great a match). There are also some weird glitches when scheduling sessions around payment dates. However, everybody that I have contacted has been willing to help. We have been happy with our experience overall.

  So so happy we found this website and was paired with Mr. Sherwood. We’ve just have been with him for a short period of time and we are 1 letter grade up and projected to end this year with a higher grade. My son was thinking about dropping pre-cal this year and do it again next year. With Mr. Sherwoods help. He will be able to pass the class with no retake and know all the concepts taught for higher level courses . Jovon went from hiding in the back of the class not answering questions to now raising hand in class and being asked to help other kids after he scored the highest across 4 pre-calc class

  Written Review for Linda M: I wanted to take a moment to share my experience with Linda M, who has been my tutor for several math courses, including College Algebra, Pre-Calculus Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus Algebra, and Calculus 1. What prompted me to search for a tutor was the increasing difficulty I faced in these courses. I was struggling to keep up with the material and wanted to ensure I not only passed but also truly understood the concepts. After seeking help, I came across Linda, and I am so glad I did. The best thing about working with Linda M was how she broke down complex topics into easy-to-understand pieces. Her explanations were always clear and detailed, and she had a way of making the material less intimidating. Thanks to her, I was able to overcome my struggles and gain a much better grasp of the material. The initial experience was fantastic—Linda immediately made me feel comfortable, and she tailored each session to my specific needs. Over time, I saw significant improvement in my understanding and my grades. I ended up getting a high passing grade in all of my courses, which was a huge accomplishment for me.   Learner has been exactly what I was hoping for. We are seeing amazing growth in our 6th grader's math skills. The best part is that the attitude around math has shifted from frustration and self-defeat to confidence and pride. We have seen a full 10% grade increase in just over a month of tutoring. The online, interactive format is perfect for our child. Even better, the student and teacher can interact using a shared whiteboard screen and a stylus pen, in order to work out math concepts together.   I decided to try Learner because my son is in his senior year of high school and he has a very challenging schedule - Honors Literature, Honors World History, Spanish 4, Digital Media Design 3, Biotechnology III, Statistics, Honors Physics and Differential Calculus. Jake G has been able to help my son with both Physic and Differential Calculus. In the beginning of the year, I was a bit concerned that he wouldn't get through Physics and Calculus, but his sessions with Jake G have greatly improved his grades this year. Jake G is able to explain concepts in a way that is easy for my son to understand and apply to his schoolwork. I also like the online format. We tried going to a physical place, but I felt like I was always rushing to get out of a meeting or something else to take my son. The online format does not disrupt my workday. I would 100% recommend.

  Rahman is an intelligent, competent, patient, and dedicated tutor. He has been tutoring my 16-yr-old son in both Honors Algebra II and Honors Chemistry. My son is a straight A student but has been struggling to maintain his A’s in math and chemistry due to the heavier course workload he is taking on this school year. Rahman is very good at explaining the concepts in a way that my son understands, and he is very patient in answering any questions. Rahman has gone above and beyond in helping my son reach his goals. One late evening, my son was really struggling with some chemistry problems before an exam the next day. I texted Rahman and asked if he could schedule an immediate session with my son. Even though it was last minute and late in the evening, Rahman promptly responded that he was available to help and immediately scheduled a session for my son right then and there. My son went on to ace both chemistry and math exams that week. My son is determined to continue achieving those high A’s, and Rahman has given him the confidence to do so, which is absolutely priceless.

  Excellent service. I am a retired teacher so I do understand the challenges and the rewards of teaching children. I also have a critical eye when it comes to the work of other teachers.   My son's instructor, Mohammad, is a truly gifted teacher. Based on my son's own experience and my observations, I can say Mohammad is very knowledgable about the subject matter he teacher. He is thorough in his explanations. He ensures undertsanding by having the student explain themselves and reason through their responses. He is articulate and engaging. He has a positive manner. He does not progress to advanced topics until he has confirmed the student has a good grasp of the requisite knowledge to proceed. He is communicative and plans responsibly. And he keeps me, a concerned parent in the loop around all decisions and scheduling. I am really comfortable with my son's progress thus far in his Physics coursework. I look forward to continuing these sessions and getting my son to the point that he can take some college level Physics at the local community college in the next semester or so.

  I discovered Learner by researching online tutoring options for my 7th grader who was struggling in Math. I decided to give Learner a try despite seeing companies that names looked more familiar. When first signing up for a trial I was impressed with the one on one phone calls and text messages helping me find the right tutor for my daughter and all the questions I was asked to ensure they paired us with someone that would be a great match. Once we were matched with a tutor our experience got even better. My daughter has gone from a D to an A in math and her confidence has sky rocketed. Our tutor is so wonderful and has a million different methods to help engage and make sure my daughter is understanding the material she is learning. I’ve recommended this company to a lot of people and even been asked from other parents what we are using because kids at school have noticed how much my daughter has improved in math. I’m looking forward to signing my other kids up as they get older and doing more of a family plan option. Fantastic experience and thankful it’s available!

  Emily J has been wonderful to work with. She sent me a text confirmation to confirm our first appointment and to introduce herself. She has been very professional and timely with her communications which is so important when working with an online tutor. My son really enjoys working with her. He has some learning disabilities and she keeps him focused and on track - which is more than I can say for myself! His math scores are improving and he is finally learning how to solve problems.   It's really good! Mohammad is a great tutor, and I feel a lot more confident in my math class because of his help. I'm currently taking a difficult BC Calculus course, and he always understands and clearly explains the material, as well as provides lots of worksheets and examples when needed.

  My experience has be nothing short of outstanding. Mohammad has helped me and all of my siblings so much in such a variety of different classes. From my brother in middle school, my sister and high school and me a senior in college. He is of the highest quality tutor and I have almost no fear in taking a rigorous course load anymore because with his help its almost a guaranteed A every time. I highly recommend him if your struggling with pretty much anything to do with math or physics.

  Pilar is exceptional! From the first session, and now one year in, she has maintained positive rapport and a productive working relationship with our 13-year-old 8th grader. No task is too big or too small for Pilar as she always goes above and beyond to ensure concepts are practically understood and applicable. She consistently meets our 8th grader where she is to equip her with how best to move forward in class and on exams.   Pilar Licheri was amazing from the moment she was assigned, to tutor my daughter in math. She took her time, in help my daughter to understand each equation 2x per week. I like how Pilar worked with my daughter on current school assignments like homework. The video engagement was incredible, and her relate ability is second to none. My daughter has since improved tremendously in math, and other areas that she may have been average in. As a result of Pilar’s consummate professionalism, my daughter was able to be accepted into the high school she wanted. I am very satisfied with Pilar’s unique talents, and how knowledgeable she is about math, and every other subjects. Pilar Licheri is extraordinary.   We have been very fortunate to have found such a wonderful Math Tutor in Linda M. Our child was struggling in Math and we knew we needed help. We were truly fortunate to have found Linda. She has always been there to help our child, even when it is “last minute” crunch time crisis. She always makes time for extra help sessions. When sports and other school events intruded on sessions she was flexible and allowed reschedualing. Our experience has been positive from the beginning. She is personable and keeps our child engaged. I am surprised that after doing a solid hour of trigonometry our son is not fatigued or jaded; Linda keeps it fun. Simply put, she is a wonderful Math Tearcher and wonderful person. Look no further, choose her now, it will be the smartest move you make today.

  Linda has been a fantastic help in precalc and AP precalc, definitely helping my grades out a lot. In fact, she helped me get the first 100% on math test in one of these classes in a long time. She is very kind and always answers all of my questions with no hesitation, making sure to explain everything in depth. She said it’s similar to her note taking style and so it made a lot of sense for her and she was able to grasp the concepts and stay with you. Thank you very much. This is really good. I never look at her canvas grades, but I happened to this week to see how things were going and her scores were coming up from two out of 10 or four out of 10 to 10 out of tens! I’m so grateful we found you. You almost seem like a miraculous find. My husband and I were reading your email and he said, he sounds so intelligent and insightful! If I’d had a tutor like him in college imagine what I could’ve done! (He’s had a very successful career at Apple for 30 years) And I was musing that there were so many classes in college for me that I came really close to getting (😅) and to have had someone like you who could identify those “tears and holes” as you called them and helped sew them up would’ve made learning a totally different experience.
