Asher S is really great . He is very patient and explains geometry and chemistry topics very well. Makes complex topics easy to understand. I’m the mom and he is teaching me as well. I think it is worth the investment.

Warren R . Has been fantastic with my son in 12 th grade pre-calc class. His expertise and way of explaining and actually pinpointing where the student is going wrong is an amazing skill. He is able to focus on the weak points and strengthen that skill. Communication and appointment time arrangements have been easy to do.

David L has been working with our son for 6 months now, and we are thrilled with every aspect of David's tutoring - he is an excellent communicator, he's punctual and has forged a great connection with our son. Learner has been a wonderful platform and service to support my son's education. Our tutor, Abi, has been incredible. Our son simply loves his sessions with her and has been thriving in the classes he has with her. Learner provides high quality online tutoring with knowledge math tutors. Philip B. has tutored my daughter for the past two years. He is an amazing tutor, who is very experienced and knowledgeable. Philip is professional, patient, thoughtful and friendly. He tailors his teaching to my daughters unique learning style. Despite her having dysgraphia and challenges with math fluency, Philip has been able to help my daughter to understand complex math concepts and go from Fs and Ds on her math exams to As and Bs. He has great work ethic, is punctual, reliable, flexible in scheduling and has developed an excellent student-tutor rapport with my daughter. I highly, highly recommend Philip B!

My 6th grade daughter’s math tutor, Jonathon Penas, has been excellent! We have been working w him for a little over 4 months and her grade level as measured by iReading testing has improved 2 grade levels, almost 3 in some areas. He is able to motivate her, engage her in the learning process, has an excellent rapport, and is very professional on keeping us informed of what they are currently working on. He is as accommodating on schedule changes as reasonably possible as well. The Learner platform and customer service are also quite good. Highly recommended!

Mr. Jonathan Peralta Penas is amazing. My son Matthew is 11 years old and is in 5th grade. He has been in a special needs program since his start of his schooling due to his diagnosis of autism. I decided to reach out to "Learner.com" to prepare him for junior high and was assigned Jonathan. Since working with Jonathan, my son has not only completed the math curriculum in his class, but now he is being mainstreamed into the other classes. His teacher's comment to me was, "I don't know what his tutor is doing but keep it up. I wish the parents of my other students did the same thing. Matthew is doing amazing!" Jonathan has given Matthew a chance to improve his life. He is literally changing Matthew's life for the better. Thank you Learner for hiring such patient and intelligent tutors.

Jonathan Peralta P. has been tutoring my 8th grader in Algebra for about a month and he has seen a rise in a whole letter grade and is no longer failing! Working with Melissa H has been an absolute pleasure. Our daughter has struggled with understanding math concepts in the past. Melissa H has been able to explain concepts in a way that is understandable and relatable. Our daughter went from hating math to it being one of her favorite subjects. Easy to use but most importantly my daughter was paired with a tutor that has helped her feel more confident about math and has improved her grades. When my middle school aged son with ADHD challenges continued to struggle with math, I chose a tutor from Learner because of its promise to provide experienced teachers for students like my son. Melissa H. has fulfilled this promise and has been a wonderful support to our family. My son now asks to meet with her, knowing that she can clearly explain algebraic concepts in an encouraging manner. Melissa has been flexible with her schedule and eager to accommodate our changing needs. She is a pleasure to work with and my son feels very comfortable in the learning environment she creates. Learner is definitely a pricey option but the quality of tutoring is excellent. An easy Five Stars to Melissa and the platform that supports her services.

Ms. Sandra G. has come to my rescue. Most of all she is VERY PATIENT with my daughters needs and very productive with the time. My daughter's confidence is much better than before. My daughter grades has risen drastically from a F to a B. Sometimes it takes someone to care and without a doubt Ms. Sandra G. CARES. If your student needs help do not hesitate from my experience Learner is worth every penny.

My experience with Learner has been incredible. As someone who has found local tutors for my kids that have come to the house I felt unsure how effective an online tutor could be. I didn’t have a referral, just out of desperation because my daughter seemed so miserable and frustrated I did a Google search and up came learner. Im not one to trust Google searches and usually want a referral from someone I know but Learners has been great because it led us to Kimberly P. Kimberly is an amazing tutor. My daughter really relies on Kimberly to get her through her studying and the class. Kimberly has a direct teaching style. My daughter says she actually explains the material in a straightforward way. She does not try to get me to get to an answer without giving me the tools first. Once she is taught, she then has me show that I can do it and teaches me again if I stumble. Kimberly P has made a world of difference to my daughter. Kimberly’s knowledge is key but her ability to communicate and teach is a skill that many people with mastery of a subject don’t have. She is the perfect fit for my daughter. While it may just be chance, my suspicion is that Kimberly P. adjusted her teaching style to my daughter’s personality and learning style. Kimberly P is amazing! Also, reassuring if you are considering Learners is that Kimberly P was not my daughters first tutor with Learner. Learner understands that a fit between tutor and student is key and they will happily work with you to find that fit.

I had not used a tutor service before so I didn’t know what to expect but I am pleasantly surprised! I love the ease, expertise, and individualized instruction provided by Ms. Hargrave. She is very knowledgeable and works very well with both my sons. One of my sons has a speech and language disability, he basically has difficulty following directions. Math is nothing but a set of directions and processes you must always follow. It takes him twice as long to learn and complete assignments sometimes. Ms. Hargrave continuously encourages him. This makes a very comfortable learning environment for my son. My other son just needs a little reinforcement so that he can score better on assessments. He is making great scores on all his tests and we are expecting a great report card. Thanks Melissa Hargrave

Linda is easy to communicate with and is flexible. She prepares for the lesson so that the time spent with the student is used effectively and efficiently. I have been using a tutor named Melody Green. She is extremely knowledgeable on the topics I have needed help with. She is good at explaining and figuring out problems, she is also very patient if you are having trouble understanding something. I was skeptical about using an online tutor at first, but I can safely say I am satisfied with my experience so far. I recommend using this tutoring service if you are having trouble understanding certain schoolwork or just like having someone to work through problems with.

My child was initially against tutoring. She didn’t think it would be useful over the internet but her grades were suffering and I told her we were going to try. Phil had his work cut out for him! After the first session, my daughter saw the benefits immediately. She has steadily been improving her grade and even schedules her own sessions. He helped to find where her deficiencies were and discern what she needs to be focusing on in concert with what she’s currently learning in school. Phil gets an A+ in our book!

Eppie has been so helpful for my 17 year old daughter who was getting Fs in math! We had tried local tutors and it just wasn’t making a difference. This option has been so easy for us to have the tutoring done at home and the ability to schedule as many sessions are needed to help my daughter understand the material. She now has a B in math! When they have extra time in a session they go over ACT questions to help prepare for that. I highly recommend! We have had a wonderful experience.

Eppie Farrell is the most personable and knowledgeable tutors I have ever worked with. She is great at simplifying material - a way that is easily digested by her learners. My math tutor Linda Maksymiuk is amazing. She has tutored me for the past two years and I highly recommend her. She is patient and explains topics thoroughly. Most importantly she makes learning enjoyable and never makes you feel “dumb” or “slow”. You can tell she genuinely enjoys helping her student grasp their math subjects so that they are well prepared for their exams.

We LOVE Abigail R.! She makes tutoring fun and is very personable & knowledgeable. Twice recently my son was supposed to be online with Abi for his tutoring session. I heard loud shouts & laughter coming from his room. I thought he'd lost track of time & forgotten to log on for his session & was gaming on his computer. When I went to check, he actually WAS in the middle of tutoring. They were playing a review game & competing against each other. Abi has helped my son take his Algebra 1 grade from from a 50% with frustration & tears from to a 90% with laughter. When he doesn't have a lot of math homework then she helps him with his Spanish homework. I appreciate her flexibility and willingness to switch gears and guide him however she can. I was skeptical about an online tutor instead of in-person but Abi has truly made all the difference in a successful first year of high school for my son.

TJ has been tutoring my daughter in Pre-Calacilis. She is a very good student, but math has never come easy for her.. she was really struggling and frustrated too. He has been very patient with her, focusing on her leaning gaps and providing encouragement along the way. She is now more confident and has brought her grade up too. Learner tailor picked the perfect tutor to fit my son’s unique learning needs. Amanda was able to explain the material in such a way that was easy for him to understand and apply. We love Learner! My son (10 y.o) got a great math tutor. She helps him to improve concentration and keeps him engaged for the whole hour by asking questions (that makes him thinking and understanding the problem). Chris is amazing! He’s a perfect fit for both my daughters for help with their pre-calculus class. The 1:1 approach is hands down the best investment we have made for our daughters future. He has strengthened their confidence which has improved their understanding. Chris is personable, kind, and understanding. That being said, my daughters grades have significantly improved. Chris has been an exceptional math tutor for my teen in every way imaginable. He is highly professional and reliable and goes above and beyond for every tutoring session to ensure that the material covered is understood. He has the ability to translate complex math concepts into understandable solutions and tailors his instruction based on the unique learning style of the student. My teen actually looks forward to working with Chis each week. After a rocky start in geometry, I was desperate for a tutor for my son, Local in person references were given to me, but they were all booked. I found learner.com. Read the reviews and decided to give it a try. Grateful the local folks were booked because my son told me his tutor, Anoop, was the best math tutor he ever had. He got a 90 and 93 on the nex5 two quizzes. I appreciate that learner actually asks you about your child and where they excel and struggle and then find a tutor that they feel matches the needs and learning style of your child. We were also able to upload his study guides and tests to review and correct. We already booked 1-2 sessions a week for the trimester and I feel sure we will continue all year. Anoop is awesome!

Ms Amanda gets all the stars. She reached out to us before 1 st tutoring session and introduced herself. She wanted to make sure she was prepared. She is personable and our daughter genuinely likes her. Amanda tells Annika what she should focus on and brings it down to her level. She lifts Annika up and helps her navigate and understand where the focus should. Annika seems less frustrated and more sure of herself and her skills while understanding there is a lot of work to be done to reach her goals . Amanda has a positive impact on learning. She is a great teacher/tutor.

Amanda is positive, upbeat, able to communicate well with our son. She cued right into his areas of need. She keeps him focused and points out mistakes in a constructive manner that facilitates learning (as opposed to a punitive manner that makes him feel less capable). Came upon the website about Learner tutoring and appears to have great reviews as I’ve been looking for Math tutor for my daughter for incoming Soph highschool to supplement her learning, maintain her grade or higher and have good foundation, taking Algebra H. Contacted several tutors online and in person, and after discussion wt Mike Brown, getting to know my daughter’s personality and paired up with Christopher Blouin with intial session online. Its been a great match. Chris is wonderful and very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Explains well, and send/ email her write ups on their session for that day. My daughter has after school sports, schedule gets crazy, and Chris is flexible with her schedule as well. Cost is reasonable. I’m very happy with Chris and I’m likely going to do as well later on for my son in middle school.

Colleen has been tutoring our daughter for her advanced IB level courses and the confidence and conceptual understanding she has gained is noticeable in a short amount of time. Colleen is prepared, thoughtful in her approach, and helps guide our daughters learning and understanding instead of just telling her how to do things. This later part is what makes the biggest difference because Colleen does a great job of allowing my daughter to think on her own and use her mathematical reasoning to help her fully understand the concepts verses just memorizing. Colleen provides a safe space for my daughter to lean into her own mathematical thinking, take risks and make mistakes, but then helps her learn from those mistakes. As an educator myself, I believe this is one of the best qualities you can find in a tutor/teacher and one that is not easily taught, but rather a natural gift. Colleen has that and we will continue to use her as my daughter continues in her advanced courses through her high school career.

Our experience with Learner has been top-notch. Our daughter, a freshman in high school, asked for a geometry tutor. She had become very stressed about the class/material, and (uncharacteristically) was not enjoying that part of school. As soon as Victor, her Learner tutor, began working with her, we could see a change. She relaxed, knew she could rely on his help a few times per week, and really began to breathe easier. She has enjoyed having extra help we are not qualified to provide, and we have enjoyed watching her thrive. We would highly recommend Learner! Five stars, for sure!
