  I recently moved to Manhattan and needed a few things, including a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 for my full-frame mirror less Lumix DC-S1. The sales staff were extremely knowledgeable and carried the lens I was looking for wide-angle to portrait-length zoom. Atmosphere was great and the staff were full of dynamism and suggested a few things to take my photography skills a notch higher. Look forward to my next visit.

  FENWAY PHOTO NYC is a great high-street camera store. Not only do they carry the Canon lineup of cine camcorders, but they also have a stock of darkroom material supplies for the college students taking photography. They were my number one stop for supplies needed for the darkroom chemistry activities I took at the university.

  I've had my eye on the EOS 90D camera at their website and I eventually bought it during Black Friday with free kit. It's an avant-garde photographic piece from Canon to substitute my long-lasting EOS 60D which has served me quite generously for years. I love the 90D. This is a big leap in Canon engineering. I am still learning the new camera but it is great so far. I have used the video features a few times and it is a big plus. Fenway was quick in getting my order out to me. Thanks Matt and Mark.

  I'm an indie filmmaker, I bought my c300 mk iii and the camera feels durable with improved ergonomics. It integrates intuitive controls but very poor with AF setup. Upgraded from the C300 Mark II. The new DGO sensor is excellent for low light performance. The high ISO shots have been amazingly vivid on this camera. Definitely lightweight and quick by comparison to systems of similar image quality and features. Thus far, we're super excited and happy to have this tool. Well-equipped, knowledgeable and helpful company when it comes to cinema equipment.

  Excellent store and options for photographic gear local here in New York and beyond! Great pricing on name brand cameras and equipment! They stock mostly Olympus but also have a large variety of lenses for Nikon mounts in the Tamron brand. Very knowledgeable and friendly folks. Highly recommend them if you have questions.

  I like the feel and performance of this camera when I use it with the native Nikon lenses (AF-S 50mm f1.4 G, AF-S 16-35mm f4 G ED) but with my third-party lenses) the physical compatibility is slick but the circuitry don't work. That means that with these two 3rd-party lenses theres no AF, no VR, and with the Sigma theres no function at all. These lenses, of course, worked perfectly with the Nikon D850.

  I have used (and recommended to many) Fenway Photo Cameras for years, buying new and used camera equipment from them. Their customer service is consistently professional, friendly and very efficient and their prices highly competitive. Fenway is a dynamic compact independent shop, copious with interesting and essential camera merchandise– they also have a great camera sensor cleaning service which has gotten me out of trouble a few times too!

  They looked at my D5600 with a slightly entangled mechanism, managed to free it up in a couple minutes, and sold me lens care kit if I needed to do it again. My camera is fine again! \o/

  Steiner 3-15x50 is a beautiful piece of glass and the SCR reticle hits the "sweet spot". Ensconced it into SR-762 for long range precision. Exceptionally crystal-clear optics, excellent contrast even in low light. A little expensive but premium-build and quality.

  I bought my Insta360 One R Twin Edition here for a trip to Galápagos Archipelago and let me tell you it's dynamic suite of features and handy benefits of this camera is amazing. My exploration in the isles were amazed by ONE R app provided as a free download for iOS and Android. One of its key features is a set of intuitive auto-editing functions, including for 360 content. I love the ability to easily re-frame a video or photo to look in any direction AFTER the fact. I like it so much that this was actually a replacement for my first 360 lens that got scratched - the reason why I also purchased the lens ports this time.

  Sony FDR-AX700 is one of Sony's Best from Fenway Photo! I use it mostly to record documentary and short story dramas. Had a chance to try it. Feels very solid, and above all very ergonomic, just like it's predecessor. Loved the image quality in low light conditions.

  I popped in Yesterday for passport photos so my review is only restricted to this department. I had anticipated the photos to be taken in a sufficiently equipped studio perhaps in the back of the shop. Instead, you have to stand in the middle of the compartments with no wiggle room and have your photo taken. The quality is bad accordingly. If you want a fast and substandard ps service you can come here. I would have liked, however, that my photos looked a little vibrant and not grainy.

  I do corporate photography, and I would not trade this fresh Hasselblad 907X 50C from Fenway Photo for any other one. I have used Pentax, Fujifilm, and I own a D7500. I love this camera so much and cannot wait to see all I can do with it!

  After renting 5D Mark IV for a commercial shoot, returned to Fenway Photo for a consultation with the intent of buying it.   I am studying photography at the Department of Arts, NYU and after discussing cameras with my professor, I decided to purchase the Sony Alpha A7R III at Fenway Photo. I've only taken a limited number of shots, thus far and am very happy with the camera. I was very pleased with Fenway Photo's exclusive, student discounts.   Purchased a Nikon camera for travel. Took it to Long Islands for work filming and photographing at the littoral landscapes. Images/videos came out beautifully, capturing excellent ocean/sky/cloud scene. The cameras withstands coastline severe weather, so the price of these products is great, too. Affordable, and good quality.

  I bought a polarizer filter here to integrate into my lenses (20mm, 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 135mm). The lens hood has a little wiggle room to free up the polarizer. Additionally, this polarizer ring is not very easy or smooth to tinker and not easy to screw on and off the lens. I don't understand why they always insist on Tiffen for a decent polarizer?

  I have been a loyal disciple of Fenway Photo for over 30 years and have frequently enrolled in their photography seminars throughout the years. Matt and his team were very friendly and know what they are talking about. What I detest the most in big chains is pushing a product down my throat but with them, this doesn't arise! Only relevant advice in a pleasant climate!!! A big thank you and I highly recommend them and on top of that, the prices are competitive. So I encourage you to support a local merchant instead of ordering online where you never get the service you deserve.

  I ordered a Sony Camcorder to film high school/ collegiate sports and record and livestream church services. Arrived safely packaged, proactive communicators and good faith merchants. All the shooting features you need to be successful are in built-in and fully adjustable. It's a professionally designed camera. The camera itself is quite light weight, so you don't need a massive tripod rig, though a good fluid head will be worth the investment.

  I'm a first time drone buyer at Fenway Photo and long time architectural photographer. I wanted to upgrade aerial photography with a new Mavic Pro 2, it has no learning curve, easy-to-use and intuitive. I fly it to video and photograph construction sites to track project progression. I have four of DJI now and a dozen lenses. Looking forward to making some great video and Photos with this Drone. Many times these drones will work when they shouldn't!

  Sales Tax is only put off. Great staff. Worst part is that the owner refuses to take cash so there is tax to pay. As a result of South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc., photo & video retail Fenway Photo is now collecting sales tax in 22 states across America. Until this year, Fenway only collected sales tax in New York and New Jersey, the only two states where Fenway Photo had a physical presence.

  Just bought my first astro imaging camera and it couldn't have been a more seamless experience. I went into the store not knowing what was best for me but after answering the staff questions and determining my budget, I walked out with an auto-guiding and astrophotography Meade LPI-GC ideal for lunar or planetary imaging. Before even letting me pay for my camera, the staff configured it for the scientific project I had that night, gave me a tutorial on how to use it and even connected it with my mount so that I could sky-gaze immediately. I ultimately only went into the shop to buy a Meade, but left with knowledge and newfound interest in astrophotography.

  good quality stuff, good selection of third-party EOS Mirrorless lenses such as Samyang AF, Sigma, Viltrox, Venus Optics, Rokinon, and TTArtisan. Most of my visits have been good, costumer service wise. At their busy times they tend to get stressed a bit and get crabby with you. Too be expected at most retailers. Over all not a bad place to shop on a Black Friday for a steal price.

  Amazing experience, Great place and Wonderful people. Bought a Ikelite Underwater Housing and Canon EOS 5D Mark IV, didn't use it and realized it wasn't for me, after 8 months I go and they take it back , no questions asked. Who would do this?? Bought a TG-6 from them recently and hats off to their courtesy , customer complaints management, delivery and after sales. Kudos to Matt, Mark and Paciorek. What a great team, an Awesome experience each time you connect with them.

  Compact but legendary photography shop for getting film processed and scans. Prices are reasonable and service is superb . If you’re looking for more of a full service camera store with a wide range of film stock, cameras and technical equipment I’d try somewhere else like 42nd Photo, Adorama or Willoughby's Camera.

  Had a great experience ordering for used pieces of AC lighting pack and head strobes for commercial purposes. Overwhelmed with the high level of experience and service that the older Sales person gave me. He was patient and listened to my needs. I will now shop local, our business has given enough dollars to Amazon & B&H. He even gave me 5" Elastic Cable Ties (10 Pack) handy for bundling together cables and other unruly items.   I purchased the Canon R6 for my wedding and lifestyle photography projects. The controls interface is still steeped in the 7D mark II and 5D Mark IV, image quality is so fine. The images are crisp and clean, and the video files are beautiful! I wanted the low-light capability, fast focus, better handling of inclement light conditions and the image stabilization superb. The focus is intelligent and lighting fast, making it great when I'm taking photos. The image stabilization works wonders because I move so much when taking photos I don't like juggling with tripods.   Fenway Photo is my favorite place in New York to get my film processed. The service is super-cool and they develop 35mm as well as medium format. This place can easily compete with the pro labs as well as being a walk in place for many other services such as prints, film development etc. I honestly can not recommend it enough. The guys who run it are always super nice and very helpful. I have developed plethora of films with them and once (yes once B&W) there was a few specks of dust on a scan and they immediately re scanned it and it came back perfect. Great for film lovers.

  Fenway Photo boasts a multi-brand portfolio of eyepieces & accessories, especially Barlow lenses. I ordered the TV 3X Barlow because I wanted to get more use out of my lower settings EP's which have a larger FOV. Tele Vue's optics are everything you've heard- crystal clear, extremely well oiled and solid pieces of equipment. This Barlow is dynamic and vivid for the level of resolution it delivers. Especially for planetary astrophotography.

  Dropped off a roll of color film for development. Colors were totally messed, roll was completely tinged. I've taken film to many labs before in NY and have never had issues like this before. Avoid for film processing works.

  If you like cameras, specifically full-frame and large-format photography related gear, this will be like a candy store for adults. The store is tooled up with all renowned brands you can imagine and there's experts stationed in every department, usually in groups of 2-3 and they're also knowledgeable in the area where they are specialized. If you have any questions, you will be able to find someone who will know the answer. One of the best aspects is trying out used cameras or darkroom gear, which is great when you want to see for yourself how the equipment feels or works. Though they mainly have photography and video gear, there's also large sections for general electronics like gaming VR, adapters, camcorder accessories, 360/VR cameras, PTZ solutions, and even 120mm film.

  They are well-equipped with every piece of electronic kit. Good selection, not great pricing. I recently bought an opened darkroom chemistry and it was leaking and smeared indelible marks all over it. That was highly disappointing. Maybe check your shipment, stevedoring or supervisors to exercise extra care. Only other quarrel with them is they are closed pretty frequently.

  If you are a telescope lover, you will go crazy to see this humongous place filled with telescopes, Newtonian refrector, Dobonsian and God knows what else. You can spend an entire day and still feel curious before leaving. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful in terms of deciding the right eyepieces or filters for viewing deep astrophysical bodies like galactic nebulae. I really miss this place. They recently became authorized dealers for Celestron.

  This store is excellent! Popped in on a Saturday, it has the sensational feel of a candy store... bought myself a rangefinder and a monocular everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable they will help you thru everything and find the best optics to match what you want.   The Mecca pilgrimage with all your video and photo Holy Grails. The store may look small but there's no accessory for cameras you can miss. Prices are competitive, everything for cinematography and drone aerial imaging are here. Also, most importantly, the staff is SUPER-HELPFUL when it comes to so many options!! I was concerned with finding the right camera with a Tamron lens 2 days before a trip to Iceland but the staff could not have been more helpful finding the right camera and accessories!

  The variety and prices are best in market. Until recently I would have rated FENWAY PHOTO 5 stars. That changed when I purchased a used large format camera from them. Purchasing a used Horseman L45ex 4x5 I expect some trademark or marking on the camera body. The Horseman I received had scarring on the edges of the knobs, and an adhesive. Adhesive was also on the electronic contacts and on the screen itself. Upon contacting 2 different customer service representatives I was told "Sorry but that's considered used. I did receive a $25 store gift card, and I appreciate that. I just thought on a Horseman it would be checked over, and it's appalling to know their used cameras are not being assessed and overhauled carefully.

  I've purchased several used equipment online from Fenway Photo -- bodies, lenses, and filters-- and have always been very pleased with them. They have always been better than described. I recently bought a Nikon Z 6II kit that had a slight problem which I compounded in attempting to fix. I called and spoke with their technician, Mark, and he suggested I send it back for him to look at. I thought I'd get a call giving me a quote for a repair. Instead, he fixed it and shipped it back to me on what must have been the same day he received it with a note wishing me luck for the shoot. I'm sure he was very busy and this exceeded my expectations and will pay him a surprise visit.

  Fenway Photo is named well... A proper shop for local photographer's (amateur/semi-pro) with a great staff and lots of selection. Only drawback, it can be extremely busy! Prices are unbeatable, close enough to online that you are usually better off dropping in and saving shipping costs. Also they have a great lens man if you need to get a sensor/repair fix. Bonus, they sponsor tons of local stuff and give back to the community. Even if the price is a bit more, I prefer to shop here than some of the big chains, or online. Even better once you get to know them a bit.
