I placed an order in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic but the next day I had it in my house in Long Island. Good professionals, everything is described accurately. I procured a Fujinon MK50-135mm T2.9 for a blackmagic studio 4K camera for workflow in a marathoning workflow. I have already recommended them to my church and friends, delighted with the customer support and the purchase. I came to deliberate on a Leica's 7x24, a powerful, dynamic golfing rangefinder and wanted to buy, which I bought along with a Oben Monopod the deal was 100%flawless ... Excellent advice on the purchase of my first birding essentials. The boss and the staff took a lot of time in several visits and were a great help in the decision to buy after the Telephoto lens training. There were also valuable tips for young birders. I bought ARUBA Network Transceivers from Fenway Photo a few weeks ago, Mr. Matt is very nice and friendly. He also gave us very good advice, a very competent man. He had given a great discount from his own hand. When I go to Fenway in New York again, I will visit Mr. Matt again directly. The shop itself is very large and clearly laid out, you feel at home straight away when you enter the shop. As usual from Fenway Photo, the ambience is based on the country house style.

After I never wanted to buy anything again after a completely ignored complaint in a store purchase in central NY, we were today in Fenway Photo of a very friendly and proficient staff advise. It was about a riflescope. We were allowed to try out all the models in detail and then decided on a hefty discount for a specific model, which fit best to the intended use. Despite Saturday afternoon we did not have to wait 3 minutes until we were perceived as customers and were served and advised accordingly. We were very positively surprised and had the feeling that Matt is very concerned about his customers. Keep it up!

NIKON D850 bought a few days ago. Chase Credit card payment is possible! Very good. By the way, we looked at a Foolography Remote Control for d850, Vello LCD Screen Protector and MDX Underwater housing and the Ikelite Strobe Connector. Have also been able to make a few undersea shots with the waterproof cage. I loved Fenway because of Matt, who, without question, he immediately responded to my issues and handed over the items for review. Top Another customer who needed expert advice was trying to help and even researched the internet. Although it was very warm that day and I literally ran aground, both were quiet and relaxed on the spot. Maybe I'll come back soon if it's a bit cooler ^^ ;-)

Came to Fenway Photo following a stroke of a idiosyncratic shopping spree as I was going to buy my first telescope on B&H Photo New York and chose to pick it up in store as I wouldn't have to wait that way, absolutely brilliant staff, was seen to almost as soon as I walked in despite the shop being busy. The staff were very knowledgeable and despite having more expensive cassegrains that would've fit my purposes didn't try to push anything more on the pricier end than what I was looking at. On top of that helped to recommend a good accessories bundle and even applied a discount to it to top it all. Would definitely recommend this store and this company to anyone looking for knowledgeable staff who are friendly and more than willing to help self-taught astronomy skills.

Mark and Matt were so upbeat and well-versed with the subject matter. I shared with them that I would eventually be using my new - and first ever - astro-imaging camera (NetImage 10) for planetary and lunar observations once I got the mastery of using it. They gave me tips on Barlow lenses and eyepieces, and Mark showed me some of his own imaging of the neighboring stellar home-the Alpha Centauri and galactic center nestling a super-massive blackhole. Very unpleasant service. Promised an offer and said Lens would be there 2 Days later, not the case! No communication, no feedback, worst of all: if you don't look (!?!) rich, you will not be treated well. The prices are unrealistic too, an Olympus I had in mind clocks in $1500 on the Internet, 1700+$ at Fenway Photo. I made three trips to this place and was not 'allowed' to purchase anything. Sorry guys, everyone else in New York did take my money and said thanks--this manager's policy was to refund what I already paid ahead and tell me to go elsewhere. Terrible, they can't even spell customer service!

I started using Fenway Photo many years ago when I wanted to add a special bunch of lenses to my Sony camera...this was about 10 years ago. The sales assistant took a good hour out of his day to talk with me about the how's and what for's of the camera and lenses I was putting together. Since then I've upgraded to a DSLR which outgrown quickly. I went in to Fenway Photo and similarly took a good proportion of the sales associate's time as he enthusiastically and wittingly explained about all the cameras most suited to me, and their lenses. He highlighted that as I had a DSLR before and therefore the lenses to go with it, that a medium-format was my way forward. He knew I wasn't going to purchase at that time, but that this would all be a recommendation for family who would gift me the medium-format camera, but that didn't stop him giving my his full time and attention. He also identified that there was Fenway Photo workshops which may indeed help my aspirations to go professional.

Bought an expensive Tamron teleconverter lens from a jovial sales assistant. A week later I took it back as I had changed my mind about it. Upon my return to the shop, the same chap approached with a smile asking to help. I revealed I wanted to return. He then took a different approach and interrogated me as to why I wanted to return it, he checked the lens (of course he should) as if he wanted to find damage etc. He treated me as if I was doing something wrong. All I can say is R.I.P Fenway Photo, I've bought elsewhere ever since.

Purchased a Nikon d5600 body (rebuild) and it ended up having many serious issues, it got stuck in the middle of a public shoot at one point and wouldn't return. Camera smashed. They did refund me immediataely. Picked up a lens from here, too, which came in a tampered and damaged box. Was offered a discount (about 3%) but when I took it home realised it was missing the carry case. It's a good store for browsing around in but I really can't recommend it because of the above. Pricing despite "deals" is not brilliant. Honestly just try out the stuff in store and buy on Amazon.

Fenway and I had agreed online over a probable part exchange of a lens and also camera body and lens for Canon EOS R5 to be told in shop that I can't do that ? After expressing my thoughts and putting away the items I was told to wait and they would see what they could do ??? In the end all was sorted and I paid $820 difference. Not a good experience

Firsthand--To be Honest I think it was a Manhattan-based company. (not certain) Don't matter anyway as My printer (DJI Mavic 2 Pro) arrived in Good time and well packaged. I could hardly get accurate altitude data at first and lost it in a tree. Must find how to use your Mavic propellers properly. Sorry to say this, but DJI is easier to use in commercial/residential property shoots.. I'm sure I'll get it in the end. Overall, I am very Happy. Thank You. Neil W.

A customer for 17 years, I have purchased a lot of camera equipment from Fenway Photo New York and was extremely satisfied with the experience. I have bought from them on a number of occasions and I consistently receive a very high level customer service. The staff are always attentive, polite and helpful and have a remarkable magnitude of experience and technical knowledge that allows them to give unbiased guidance about any purchase. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional, nothing is too much trouble and any question, no matter how trivial, is always answered with good professional advice. This store is a photographic gem and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

I don't think I would recommend Fenway Photo. I placed an order that was due to be with me in 3-5 days, my first email from them was an email 3 days later to say the order was underway, and that delivery would be in a further 3 to 5 days. I eventually got the telescope purchased a month later. I had to constantly chase them for updates as their communication was non-existent - even after repeatedly being told someone would email, or call to update. I've got the meade telescope, and a good price, but I worry about what worth their warranty is should anything go wrong.

I recently purchased a Mamiya Sekor AF 150mm f/2.8 for my girlfriend at Fenway Photo. The service was excellent, and the staff is very knowledgeable. I came in with a good idea as to what I wanted to purchase for her, and they let her handle and look at as many of the medium telephoto lenses as she wanted, to check contrast level and sharpness. They really made her feel welcome in what was a totally new experience to her. Also, I was asking about Sensei Deluxe Optics Care and Cleaning Kit. I hadn't purchased any in awhile and asked for their recommendations. They recommended Swarovski Cleaning Kit.I was very satisfied with this sales experience that I had Fenway Photo ,and will definitely be returning for more Mamiya 645 system lenses, accessories and miscellaneous.

Excellent tech store with a huge range of laptops, tablets, desktops, workstations, monitors, displays and computer accessories. Best I called them 20 minutes before closing and asked to wait for me with a certain product, arrived about 10 minutes after closing and the seller waited for me there and was patient and answered all questions, did a comprehensive MacBook Air inspection and helped me with what I needed even though I followed it at the end of the day Work for about 45 minutes !!! Obviously service really brilliant!

The seller in the store sold me a Fuji X-Pro3, 4 year warranty for the camera. After I paid, I was called after a few days, said that the seller was wrong and that the warranty is only for 3 years and not for 4 as I was told in the store. They weren't willing to credit me for the relative part. disappointing.

I purchased a Samyang14mm Lens for Nikon Z with a filter at Fenway Photo,NYC. ..... After about two months the filter broke apart. Of course, I went to the authorized service dealer shop. I arrived at the store after talking on the phone to a polite guy named Mark. After I was already closed on a cassegrain and an eyepiece, Mark turned my attention to the same telescope at a cheaper price of about $280 less (102mm Aperture Maksutov-Cassegrain ). As a beginner in the field, I received a comprehensive analysis from Mark(one who spent a lot of time in the field), he listened to my needs and explained to me the way I should go as an astronomer and where I can harvest the knowledge. I was in the store for about an hour, and I received an answer to all my questions and at the highest level. In terms of prices, they were among the cheapest in New York but it was the professional aspect that really made the decision, the conversation, even at the telephone level, was at the highest level and the most caring and it made me come to the store. If I continue in the field and move on to my next Newtonian version, I have no doubt where I will go. Thank you very much to Mark and Fenway Photo for an excellent shopping experience.

A coveted go-to destination in the heart of New York. Really the best shop for the "purists" but also for the ordinary "enthusiasts" who want to give it whack or expose to the contagious hobby or the taste of photography. Matt is always willing and analytical in everything you ask of him in the photo industry but also in the cameras, lenses, and whatever else comes to mind. Really disappointed by what I would consider as an unscrupulous, unethical conduct at this Fenway Photo store. Camera I ordered (with a unique serial number) was surreptitiously exchanged with the display/demo unit when I went to collect it (as identified by the new label). For me personally, I never buy used cameras because I prefer them to be uncharted from the manufacturer but that wasnt the biggest issue I had with this. It was the fact that someone thought it was OK to do this without being transparent with me upfront. This experience plus a similar instance in the past (at the same store) has left me feeling that I can longer trust this store. For the benefit of the doubt, I accepted the possibility that first occasion may have been an honest mistake but this second occasion was evidently intentional or reckless.

Choose a better store if you want your order tracked professionally and delivered to you without delays if you want to buy expensive photographic equipment. I had a bad experience from the store and from the owner. On Black Friday I agreed to exchange a Fujifilm X-T4 that I had with a medium-format GFX 5R body and a cash difference from me and ostensibly the store's offer was very impeccable. From that day on, the adventure of waiting begins. Every day on the phones I made the answers were not only camera bodies, Fujifilm has not priced and so we went for three weeks where finally on 12 /9 I was informed that on 23 /9 they will receive and they will call me immediately.
