  Went in the other day to buy a Nikon D7300. Staff was super helpful and were very knowledgeable about the camera and lenses. I came back the next day and the staff who helped me, remembered me, and what I was looking to buy. He looked through all the stock to see if they had any used models and founds the black body I wanted. By far one of the best places to buy camera equipment. Wonderful and accommodating staff, clean store and a great selection of new and used items. I definitely will be coming back to do more business with them

  Best photography store in New York for sure! Fenway Photo is where I buy all of my photography equipment! The staff are all trained professionals who are super friendly, and know so much about photography. The staff have helped me find exactly what I'm looking for!

  You'll find I'm objective saying that Fenway Photo is the best camera store with the most knowledgeable staff. They aren’t pushy and know a whole bunch of different products. They aren’t biased to one product. So they will Give you their personal opinion on any of the camera equipment or accessories in there.

  Knowledgeable, helpful staff with a keen interest in all things photographic. Good selection of photo gear and accessories. They take trade-ins when purchasing new products. Prices are at par with everyone else online but they will price match sales from other retailers.

  Fenway Photo has been my go to camera stores on all kinds of photographic supplies for a few decades. My most latest goodies - a couple of tripod accessories - vindicated that local can be as good as internet. Especially when you are worried about product quality and want to get your hands on it before you have to shell out the money. Their selection - big and small - is excellent. My last major purchase, a Canon CyberShot was from the large used supply.

  The store is exemplary and the service a cut-above-the-rest. If you are looking for people who have your best interest at heart, this is the place for you. I went in with a basic idea of what I wanted and got great recommendations, advice and a run down of how to get the most of my new lenses. The prices were very competitive too. In fact, everything I bought beat out respectable online retailers. I look forward to doing more business with them even though I live in Seattle!

  James was amazing! He gave me so much of his time explaining all of the details, letting me glimpse through multiple lenses with the new camera to see which one that I wanted. He let me know everything that I needed to know to get started with my new gear! Definitely went above and beyond! I so lucky that this is the camera store that I walked into.

  Came to export content from tapes to DVD’s and I wanted to preview some of them before buying the production. The proprietor helped me out with a complete station where I could utilize one camera to rewind the tapes while the other one is projecting the video onto a screen where I can watch the tape. Very fast and easy transaction - highly recommend. The more you do the cheaper each tapes comes to be!

  So, I recently found Fenway Photo because I was looking to buy some film off the bat. I usually order it online but I was heading out for a trip and needed some in hand. My go to place is usually 42nd St Photo but they’re a but pricier. Fenway Photo basically had the low online prices, in-store. Not only do they have a nice selection of equipment and gear but also a in-depth knowledge of camera bodies and optics. I later took my 5 Minolta lenses to get a CLA and was happy to find that only one needed service. However, I was informed that the service would surpass the cost of just replacing the lens. So I decided to just keep using it as is. I’ll definitely be using Fenway Photo for all my photography needs.

  Great selection of new and used gear as well as a surprisingly large range of supplies. Sloane and the rest of the staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful and are always happy to help, but never pushy or snobbish. Prices on gear are also very competitive. This is a place for people who love photography or want to learn to love it.

  Made the 30 mins trip for a repair that my camera had. They were super kind and was able to make my repair on the spot!!! There aren’t many camera repair shops in the area and I see why: they can’t compete with Fenway Photo! Would recommend for anyone with camera needs and repairs.

  My family and I moved out of the city and into the New York area. By pure luck we're perched on a vantage spot from some great night viewing areas. I stopped onto the shop and had a pleasant and positive experience while I was there. The owner and one other employee seemed interested in casually chatting with me and discussing a local photography club I was interested in. It is definitely a nice set up with some pretty amazing cameras displayed on the designated sections. I can't speak on prices or the purchasing process with them. But so far everything else was pretty nice. I wouldn't hesitate to swing by there and purchase something if I didn't want to wait for an online purchase delivery.

  Great store! Customer service was excellent. They helped me find a good entry level point and shoot. I had my newborn with me who was nodding off so they even offered to bring the equipment out to my car. On top of that, a rebate by Nikon was forgotten at checkout and I was too negligent to calculate out the total beforehand so I didn't catch it. But the receptionist who phoned me up did notice and caught me before I pulled off to hand me the cash difference. That's pretty amazing. Needless to say, I would go back and I'd recommend this place to anyone!

  Excellent service here and an incredibly in depth knowledge of all of the equipment. I came here for work with the intention of buying a few things already but James was amazing and didn't make me feel like I needed to spend impulsely than I had planned. He told me exactly how he felt about the equipment and when I asked for cheaper alternatives, he would find always have a solution.   I dropped my expensive camera with a heavy lens. The mount was flexed out of shape and my heart pretty broken. Fenway Photos fixed my camera and lens and I am feeling much better now. The price wasn't as high as I had feared. Happy ending story. Great professionals at Fenway Photo, 100% recommended.

  I ordered a The V mount battery baseplate on a Friday and it arrived THE NEXT DAY in my apartment in Albany NY, fast shipping! Crazy. The last time I ordered from online sellers it took me three weeks! (Mind you on that occasion, I was sailing :). Shipping at $20 was an extremely for a small item, however Fenway Photos was the only place where this item was readily available for me, so I have no problems whatsoever with that rate. And the item itself was cheaper than my local alternative (who would have had to order it in anyway).

  Fenway Camera staff do their very best to assist. Can print large photos on images exceeding A3 is my understanding and have excellent technical knowledge on lenses and videos. They have a good range of cameras and videos to check out in store. If they haven't got something available they are able to quickly source a supplier. Staff seem to enjoy and take pride in what they do here.

I just wanted to give some feedback on the service and products you have supplied me with - in short, wonderful and excellent! James also replied to a query I had expeditiously and professionally. I received the Canon g7x 2 mark ii and 1.0 type sensor today after picking it up from the courier depot in New York, so that was quite quick. I've just assembled the equipment and had a quick go through with it. It's robust, well made, includes professional standard camera found in the niche costing in the thousands, and the bright f/1.8-2.8 Canon lens are fantastic for my needs. I am very happy with the product. Please pass on my sincere thanks to James as well as the test of your team.

  Staff are well trained, Andrew always serves well and has great knowledge. Take the negative reviews with a pinch of salt - it seems to be limited to a bad experience with only 1 (older?) staff but I have always had a great service experience in Fenway Photos so maybe the others are just unlucky. The range of items is superior and quality of service is really top-notch IMO. Worth a visit for sure!

  Excellent place for camera gear which is considerably cheaper compared to buying from your typical shopping centres (Adorama, B&H, BestBuy etc.) Made multiple purchases here (Canon 80D and M5 along with other gear) I was served by James' who provided amazing service and even managed to negotiate the price slightly :D Definitely will come back for more gear! :D

  Beautiful selection of equipment that is value for money. Great service (from salesman Jim.   Nice camera shop that sells all sort of photography and filming equipment plus accessories. They have lots of demo sets for you to play around. Shop staff members are friendly and answer all questions that you ask.

  Was in the area and looked on verified reviews to see if there was any photo shops near by low and behold this was the one and let me tell you they’re absolutely amazing, purchased a few rolls of 35mm film and a Pentax k1000 . Unfortunately, my light meter failed when I was testing it out the employees there replaced it with a new body free of charge , absolutely great will definitely start buying from here more often, also they have a huge selection and just overall comprehensive lineup.

  Excellent store ! Big shout out to Sloane he is so knowledgeable and takes his time with each customer! We travel to this store from Albany, well worth the ride. We have purchased many items from this store and went on where else if I have trips. Can’t say enough good things about this store and there employees!! We are return customers ..!! And this is the only shop we will be buying our camera items.

  I am never angry with the amount of money I can spend here, bang for my buck. The excellent customer service, friendly extremely knowledgeable staff & atmosphere trades it off. I won't spend money on camera gear anywhere else. They will gladly check online prices and match them to get me the best price. They treat me just like i'm a professional photographer. They have helped my photography go from just a spectacular collections to blogs article photos, scintillating sunrise and Venus to amazing wildlife to my next step the Andromeda galaxy! I can't say enough but I live in DC and gladly drive there to spend my photography money. These are just some of what I have been able to take with various Sony cameras and fantastic lenses.

  Visited Fenway Photo, to my awe, these guys had the newly released Sigma and Tamron lenses I wanted. Very helpful online staff. I asked them to keep an eye out for another lens I was looking for which was backordered everywhere and I got an email about a week later saying that they had found it for me. Shipping to Michigan was superfast! If I get a bad copy...that is not really a store issue, but they told me you have the right to ask questions concerning a return. After the several hundred or several thousand dollar lens leaves their store what a customer does with it could have a profound effect on it and its ability to be resold. Yes not every lens works great with every camera so read reviews, rent lenses, and talk with friends.

  Very personable and efficient service. Impressed with the volume of products they had for sale, capturing family memories and loved ones. Parking on the front of Fenway Photo may be an issue. Had to go around block four times before I was able to find a parking space.

  I’m a college educator with an interesting piece of news about shopping at Fenway Photo in NYC. I have been a deeply loyal and faithful Fenway customer since 2012, having spent thousands of dollars on equipment that I accumulated over the past 7 years. As a happy and satisfied consumer, I'm confident in referring other educators and partners (across the nation), including my adult students who were interested in building their photo and video equipment, skills and knowledge. I took many opportunities to lean on the expertise of the Fenway Photo staff, which I valued because they helped me to grow my own knowledge and skills in many diverse ways. Today, I am still using all of the equipment that I bought in the past from them, because they sell high-quality, reliable products. As a result of the ease and accessibility of this location, I have greatly expanded on my videography abilities and even planned to enroll my son in their classes this summer.

  FLAWLESS SERVICE! James is a true businessman, he gave me full autonomy. Very friendly gentleman and knows what he is talking about. Great prices! I wish I would of known about this store earlier. I just happened to be in the area and Siri, my personal assistant found this store. Their "used" cameras are new actually. The only thing difference between them is the lack of box, but who gives a damn tho!? Who films with a box. The only thing I wish the store had was a sign because I wasn't able to find the location that easily. I really hope this chain opens up in more locations. This is my first "real" camera and I had an amazing experience with the purchase. Thank You James.

  I went in before New York crashed to the Corona lockdown to return some items that was purchased the day before. The return process went well and afterwards I brought in my dslr to have the sensor cleaned. They told me to leave everything in my bag and they took the bag back to the back and cleaned the lenses and the camera which was more than what I expected to receive for the price. I would recommend anyone looking to get the sensor and lenses cleaned to Fenway Photo. They take very good care of their customers

  Magnificent first time experience with these guys. I've seen the store earlier but never stepped in. They got my Nikon D7000 sensor spruced up in no time, as well as two lenses I had carried with me, at no extra fee. My shots are crystalline crispier now. Will definitely be going back.

  Dropped my camera and broke the $$$$ lens. I was stick between a rock and a hard place, a camera emergency. I stopped in and they had feasible solutions for what I needed. In fact I purchased a used lens which I've never done before but I'm very happy with it! They are always so knowledgeable in the photo market, online and domestically in NYC.

  The best camera store for a thousand miles. They will make sure you are well taken care of and offer training and workshops so that you can use your camera better. Not to mention it's a locally owned store with Internet prices. That's hard to come by these days.

  We stopped by Fenway Photo store the day before hitting the pavement for a trip. Very nice store and very helpful. I asked some questions about the best time to shoot certain photos and was given great advice. Thanks. When we arrived home I decided I needed another backpack that I had purchased there and sent an email asking if I could order another one. No problem. They sent an invoice on line and and the item was shipped the next day. It arrived a few days later. Great service and a great store. Thank you and keep up the good work.

  Fenway Photo is the most excellent camera store and photo lab in New York. They carry a perfect assortment of equipment and supplies. Their crop of employees is helpful and knowledgeable about all facets of photography. Recently I was in there needing help to place a long and intricate print project, and Jim took care and time to iron out for me issues for the whole thing. The quality of their prints is sublimal, from paper to metal and canvas, and more. Prices are competitive, service is fast, and my only complaint is that they don't have more locations in other parts of the state. I've driven from far way to get an aluminum print and it's the most beautiful piece of art I possess. I recommend this store for all of one's camera needs (if they don't have something you need they will order it) and highly endorse the quality of their print services. If you can't get to the store they will ship your order to you. I find their quality and assistance well worth the drive.

  Fenway Photo has a great selection of cameras and accessories. I was in a pinch for a small tripod and they had several options of which I selected two different styles. One to support my camera and the other for a table top mic holder. Prices are very reasonable. Location is convenient.

  I wanted to take advantage of an ongoing Olympus trade-in offer, but was being directed online to have my tradable equipment evaluated by a store in Nebraska. Instead, I dropped by the NY Fenway Photo store for the first time, where Jonathan evaluated the pieces in front of me, and helped me decide which lens I could keep, while still having enough trade in value to get a new Olympus Pen 7 . Exchanged OM4T & OMD E10.Thanks, Jonathan , for being the executive professional, while being just as excited for me, as I was to have a new baby in my hands, and the 17mm to go with it.

  Too bad there aren't 10 stars because our family would give it! All assistants at this location has been tremendous! From helping us (amateurs!) with expensive shopping decisions, to answering "troubleshooting!" questions when we're in the middle of shooting our products and still buffled by camera settings, they've always been quick to help. The only one with an attitude is their chocolate lab. If you don't break out of your shell, prepare to be teased. :D
