  Throughout the years, I have never had bad service or a bad experience with this company. Local business is best way to go, and you can count on this local company to take care of you! I have referred probably 10 or so friends to visit this company, and I can safely say, that each and every one of them has been treated like family and continue to return to do business regularly with these wonderful folks. Thank you to everyone working here, for all that you do!

  Ideal alternative to online stores. I wanted a higher output speedlight than I already had and was interested in some of the new ones that will control additional speedlights. James provided complete and courteous help to the veterans couple in front of me before he helped me. He seemed to know the products and their stock pretty well and I asked how long she had been there. 40 years he said. I ordered a GODOX flash and they had the exact same price that Amazon had. And Adorama didn't provide the in person help that James did.

  It's rare in the digital age to find good customer service. It's always amazing that people will pay more when they're treated well. I walked in here looking for something for Valentine's Day. Immediately when I hit the door I was greeted by Andrew. He went out of his way to help me and gave me several options that he thought my wife might enjoy for Valentine's Day. I went online that night and did some research for the product he showed me. I would've been able to order them off eBay and save a little money. After thinking about my experience I decidedthat my money was better spent with this place. I went in the next day and picked up a brand-new Canon printer and paper. I will definitely be back in the future. It feels great to support local businesses well!

  It's hard nowadays to find excellent customer service. It's always amazing that people will cough up more when they're treated like a king. I walked in here looking for something for Valentine's Day. Immediately when I hit the door I was greeted by Andrew.   I have always purchased my cameras at this store (and always will). Not only do they remain equal in pricing to their local competitors, they also have a 30-day price guarantee. Another reason to buy locally from this store is for warranty purposes. If anything goes wrong, they will take care of it for me. I know this store will have my back when I need them and to me it's worth the extra dollars for that added insurance in comparison to the prices you will find online plus you are supporting a local company. Recently I purchased my Nikon full-frame camera the week before Black Friday. On Black Friday I returned to get a price return because the price for my camera had come down. Not only did I get a reimbursement, my purchase from the week prior was eligible for the Nikon promotion - a free 50mm lens as well as a $100 gift card from the store - all thanks to their Black Friday deals. What a way to make this girl cry in the camera store! Whenever I go there, I always speak with Stuart or Andrew as they have always helped me with such knowledge and Sloane is just as wonderful. Thanks for the awesome service, you all are so great at what you do!

  Fenway Photo has a very knowledgeable and honest crew that just about does everything relating to photography. They carry digital cameras and memory cards, I've had portraits made from old black and white negatives. They can also export or copy files from many other earlier formats plus contemporary used digital formats. Fenway Photo is a one stop shop for our different photographic demands.

  Excellent service and selection. I was really impressed with their used selection especially. They have several brands of cameras and lenses in great-or-better condition. They also have lenses to rent if you don't wanna drop all that money to buy something without using it first. They don't carry every brand of lens, but have a good selection. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and they'll help you find what you're looking for if they don't have it in stock. The only camera store I'll go to in New York.

  Absolutely the topmost camera lens rental customer service I’ve ever experienced! I’ve been a pro photographer for more than a decade and have rented from all the major camera rental retailers in New York for years. Fenway Photo is second to none and we'll ahead of the curve in the marketplace. Do yourself a favor and rent through these guys folks!!!

  Knowledgeable staff and friendly environment. Questions answered thoroughly and I even tried a few lenses on my camera. I came not to buy but for a trade-in. I was happy to get a good quote for my Canon 1200D. I traded in with an exchange lens for an upgrade. Thankful for Everything 🤗

  Tons of new and used gear and knowledgeable people. Jovial, joculiar and enthusiastic employees ready to crack out their shell, welcome you and show you around. I had a long conversation at the counter for 25 minutes, a $4,000 budget was burning a whole in my pocket. Stuart showed me a Canon EOS allowing me to experiment the entire time. Its a local company, you test before buying a pig in a poke for $5999 i'm happy to buy from a local brick and mortar camera shop rather than online where they make you beg for service.

  I was extremely happy that they helped me find the right camera for my needs. Stuart and Marc took time to explain different features, pros and cons for rival products. Great service, competitive pricing. I finally ended up with a new RX100m3. It's fun to be in this sea of merchandise and buy a camera from New Yorkers to support a local startup!

  I stopped by when my camera had a severe hitch. as the lens cover on Canon Powershot had grains of sand trapped in it and wouldn't close. They wiped it out and it worked again--with no charge. I came here originally as they were recommended by another camera place up in New York. Definitely the place to go if you have a camera related service

  Sensational piece of customer service!! Staff serves with great attention even on a simple issue, they made it a breeze to select as a side waist height camera bag for a Newbie like me. Also I will buy a DSLR Camera that's lowly priced via mail order delivery and great in depth advice beforehand. They also offer great workshops and have very very reasonable prices. 😎🕺💃💪👍📷

  As a professional photographer, these local shops are invaluable and Fenway Photo is no exception. If you are serious about photography as a hobby or profession this is the place in New York you want to go to. The staff was friendly and very helpful with genuine and informed advice about several items I was looking into. I found what I needed am very happy to support local businesses like them. You can't take this sort of shop for granted.

  Fenway Photo was nothing short of spectacular. While I can't say that I have dealt much with them, I have dealt with Stuart quite a bit. He never oversells me anything. I went looking for studio lights with no idea what to get. Stuart could have sold me some preposterously expensive equipment but was honest and straightforward with me and advised that all I needed at this point was a set of pro masters which cost me a couple hundred dollars. I have been to Fenway several times since then and the staff there are always polite and patient with me. They take time to listen to what I am trying to accomplish and lend their advice on photography techniques. They answer all of my questions and they never try to sell my things that I don't need.

  Great, friendly service. The staff was nice and courteous and didn't try to oversell me on stuff I didn't need. Walked out with exactly what I needed to get the job done. Good selection of product. As enormous as other places and again, they won't try to sell you some ridiculous getup and will actually ask what you're looking to accomplish and get you rolling at an affordable price.

  Fenway Photo took in my 2 Nikon D800's in for repair. These are my studio work-horses so I was expecting a right off when it was suspected that the shutter needed replacing on one! Fortunately for me it was a job that required labour only! Very happy bunny! Really chuffed to have had both cameras repaired rather than replaced and at a very reasonable cost. Cheers chaps!

  Once again, James has sold me a superb product at a fantastic price ! This time, he sold me a pair of high-quality Fujifilm camera for $499.99. They also had interesting rolls of film and even offered to salvage CD content and they have done a superb job. Absolute bargain for the price. I'd also like to say that James gave me 1st class customer service. Pleasure doing business with you James! And thank you Fenway Photo for being a first class digital camera store.   If you want to have the best customer service when looking for any electrical equipment this is the place to go. I've been back to this store many times and haven't been let down once. Back when I was buying my TV a year or so ago, the salesman from the store, Johnson held the store open for me so I could have it for that night. Excellent service all round. Very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff and the store is immaculate This store is the perfect example of how places of business should be run. 100% recommend and 100% will be back for the next piece of electrical Gadgetry.

  Polite and friendly staff, I have to say having done some homework first, Fenway Photo were cheaper on the same product yet Adorama price label was steeply tagged with an extra $70 at the dearer price. At Fenway, they did mention they will be having some sales deals on some items this weekend coming. I personally went for a Panasonic Mirrorless Camera from the shop in New York. More choices, product lineup range and top brands.

  You don’t get places and staff like this anymore. Genuinely passionate about cameras and photography and happy to help the less knowledgeable. Visiting this shop was an experience and will most definitely revisit on my next visit to Manhattan. Couldn’t recommend more highly.

  I just bought my Canon EOS 100D from Fenway Photo Services. The job was done excellently and all communication with members of staff, be it via Email or telephone were warmly & efficiently conducted. My camera was purchased packaged in kids gloves. I also bought the 'Household & General' insurance cover. I will certainly use these services for any future needs for gear that may arise.

  After purchase I had an issue with linking the camera to my phone using the dedicated software. They went to a lot of trouble to get it sorted and fixed. That is the kind of service which will not be available online and almost certainly not from a larger more general store, yet the price that I paid for the camera was comparable with prices online and elsewhere. I strongly recommend this shop for thoughtful pre-sales advice, helpful service at the point of sale, and supportive after-sales service, too.

  I had an excellent shopping experience at this photography gear store. In my opinion as an experienced photographer, they have some of the cream of digital cameras and equipment such as lenses and flashes. They carry the brand Leica in tons, which I am convinced is an excellent choice, both in quality and price when compared to other better known brands. I also appreciate all the professional advice from the staff who helped me in making the right buying decision for a less expensive tele-zoom lens that works with the Canon EOS 5DS and my budget.   The employees are passionate and brimming with enthusiasm about Nikon gear and accessories. I have ordered Tamron, Tokina, Sigma and Canon equipment from this authorized dealer. Most salespersons enrolled to work here are seasoned photographers and aptly nurture the customers love for the art of photography. Salesmanship is a cut above the competition, sharing knowledge when certain lenses; tripod use and weights; prints and other accessories are another’s expertise. I highly recommend Fenway Photo!

  At my first visit at Fenway Photo, I had a long discussion and bought a Panasonic micro four-thirds camera bodies and lenses, yesterday, the salesman showed me a Lumix DMC GH-3 and GH-4 bodies, and their full line of micro four-thirds lenses. Additionally, I was surprised that they did have the Olympus 25mm f/1.8 lens in stock, as this is a difficult item to find in stock online. Overall, I'm new fan of this store and glad that New York has a great resource for hobbyists and photographers. My biggest complaint is their lack of queue management, which a simple ticket system would solve.

  My grandma had pieces of old black and white film and had no idea what to do with it. These had been burried in her treasure cabinets for over 50 years. I had no expectation they would be salvageable, but she insisted we give it a shot anyway. The pictures were taken by someone who had passed away and we were able to show them to three generations of her descendants two days after I presented them to Fenway Photo. She still reminds me to thank James and the company that did the impossible.

  Nice camera store owned by a connoiseur photographer, Sloane has been selling cameras in New York for as long as I can remember. Perfect place to get cameras for student photographers. Also a great place to find rare and unusual cameras whether you're a hobbyist, collector, or just need a cool looking paperweight. The guy knows cameras and if he says it works I'd take his word for it.

  Had a great experience with Fenway Photo. As a newer photographer, it is really key to be able to walk in and ask questions without the pressure of purchasing. I didn't buy today, it was a research rundown, but they will get every dollar I spend on equipment over the long haul if they keep up that level of service.

  Anderson at the Manhattan location was super helpful and knew his way around both Panasonic and Canon DSLR's and was right on with the lens suggestions. He found every way he could to be ultra-competitive with B&H Photo - in addition to price matching, he offered us discounted filters, batteries, and a case to make up for the tax. Love buying local will be back for our next purchase.

  Used Google to zero in a used camera equip store. Fenway Photo had fair reviews, I had the pleasure meeting Jonathan, the proprietor, this morning and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. Which is amazing since I know it all. But as that may be, he gently exposed and illuminated me to relevant info regarding digital cameras (thank you sir). I now stand more knowledgeable and better for it. His prices were extremely fair too. I shall return to Fenway Photos for their treasure trove of cameras equipment and data knowing I have made a friend ... a man with integrity.

  Fenway Photo is all about tbeir knowledgeable staff ready to help you. If you live in Manhattan area, in the Upper suburbs (as I do), or even in New York City, their location is convenient, sales and technical support is awesome, and the business has been here since... well, I purchased a Nikon N-70 camera, 50 mm, a 70-300 zoom, and a top-end, a 105 mm Micro-Nikkor macro lens from them in 1999. Hands-on comparisons of equipment, knowledge of various brands reliability, repair histories and customer support. Just try getting service like this from Amazon, or any mail order retailer.

  Fenway Photo is THE place to go for anyone at least semi-serious about photography in New York. You can actually find high end cameras here that department stores (including BestBuy) don't dream of having in store. On top of that Fenway Photo camera prices somehow are already comperable to Amazon, B&H Photo, Adorama and other online retailers. The employees are often knowledgeable and helpful as well. Overall, given the competitive pricing and the convenience of seeing the equipment first hand, I recommend them over online shopping for brand new cameras.

  There are a few services I find superior in person - brick and mortar versus online - and my creative printing projects are one of them. Printing photos for framed gifts at Fenway Photo is much higher quality than what I get online and the help you get in the store to edit your photos is fantastic. I have made magnets to celebrate people and they spent an hour with me today designing a custom canvas picture that we all plan to sign. Andrew and Fenway Photo are elemental to good old city and I hope they are always open for business! Many Thanks to John, Harry and team on this latest project :-)

  It seems like there are no longer one hour photo stops around like there used to be. It feels like film is dying. If you go to walgreens they print on paper that couldnt compete with a napkin with quality that couldnt compete with a 5 year old with crayons. Fenway Photo is awesome. Their print quality is incredible, they are knowledgable, their "membership" actually gets you pretty great deals. They might be the last Alamo of film!

  I came in to get advice and possibly a camera....I left with more knowledge and a fantastic camera. Jonathan answered the phone and his kindness and positive attitude are what brought me in. Once there he was able to point us over to Jacob who helped us pick the exact camera we needed and gave us some excellent advice.   At the outset, it's absolutely happenstance to find a camera store that is locally owned and operated. My wallet is probably very happy that I don't live down the street from B&H. I'm an Amazon fan, but I prefer to support local businesses in line with the American Dream. One of the many things I love about going into Fenway Photos is that the owner, Jonathan, he boasts wealth of experience and advice and is like an in-person Amazon review. He'll tell me if there's a product he's not particularly impressed with, or if there's one that he loves. He's not going to make an unnecessary or non-beneficial recommendation because he's not being bankrolled by Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc. If something isn't in the shop, he'll order it in. He cleans sensors and takes care of repairs (and all locally!) As a fellow professional, I appreciate his honesty and authenticity in a time when people will try to sell you anything.

  I bought a GoPro Karma Grip here a while back. It wouldn't stay level - one day past the "return to store" part of the warranty they honored without turning their back on me. I didn't have to go through GoPro for product liability. If this were Amazon there would be many questions asked. While I generally enjoy talking to tech nerds, you can get most of the information you need to make a decision here. With great customer service, there's really no better place to buy used camera stores anymore.

  I once requested to look at a P&S camera and I was helped without attitude. I kept playing with the camera and at no point was I rushed to make a decision. Fenway Photo had the tripod I was looking for which none of the other big New York stores carried. Their prices were also competitive. They had the 2 cameras and lenses I wanted in stock with only a spare battery being out of stock. The battery I ordered online and has already shipped. I couldn't ask for more and I'll be going back for sure.

  A dream shop for any analog photographer. Has all sorts of equipment that you need for your analog photography. From high grade paper to development kits and chemicals. Has a great selection of films available too. The second hand cameras though are a bit on the expensive side. But their quality is impeccable. Must recommend this place.

  Very professional welcome. Very nice because it's based on a passion. All major brands are represented. Canon, Fuji, Olympus, NIKON. ......   A friendly and competent sales associate took all the time to advise me. I was able to handle the different devices I had pre selected (not in other signs).   I took my Sigma because they have impeccable portfolio and I felt very well attended. There was doubt whether the lens was under guarantee or not because of the type of fault it had so they offered to send it off to Japan. It took exactly the days they had said it would and they kept me informed at all times. The item came under guarantee, but even if it had not been so, the attention would remain excellent.
