  I ordered a Fujifilm XT3 from Fenway Photo. They had unbeatable prices than online retailers like Amazon because I didn’t have to foot tax expenses because of their exclusive Mother’s Day promo. I am happy with my camera and the experience. I also rented a camera DSLR here, it worked really well. Easy to work with, great service, and good deals. Glad there are still places like this.

  I’ve needed some specialized pieces of equipment that at times becomes difficult to fetch because of a new launch or overall demand and the staff's personal relationships with all the top manufactures has help to acquire my equipment in record time before a shoot. Cost is the same as any rival retailer, but hands down, the extra value of having personalized discussions with their consultants and vast resources like articles and podcasts online makes them an invaluable partner. So if you have any photography issue, want to take a class to learn more or need any camera or photo lab services, Fenway Photo is by far the best choice I’ve ever made!

  I ordered a new camera at this store online. Stuart was very helpful in guiding me choose the appropriate camera. For a few minutes I thought I would not be able to purchase a charger for my extra battery, but Stuart came to the rescue and made it possible for me to purchase a universal battery in the store that just happen to be part of a portable kit.   The capital the photographic city to go to for anything related to cameras/photography. The staff is really friendly and helpful. I've gone here several times to rent equipment, buy audio/video gear and sell my own old equipment. Always helpful, always friendly.

  Discovered this store online in my quest to sell some camera equipment. I sold rare film bodies and Sigma lenses. The prices were of course lower than I would have fetched online, but it saved me the trouble of posting online and dealing with all that. The sales associate (I think manager?) was very nice, patient and helpful. He answered a lot of questions I had.

  This is really one of the few places to go to for treasure troves of wisdom. They have a massive assortment of camera accessories, lenses, cameras, photo assistance on shooting, etc. They even have a guy who helps all clients, he was helping a wheelchaired customer while I was there, that was impressive. The prices are retail for most stuff. Although there was a lot on sale or discounted. While you may pay 10-15% more, it's worth it if you have a warranty issue. If you buy online to save 20 bucks, and that lense is bad, you have to hassle with shipping it back and waiting weeks to get a credit or a replacement. Spend the extra couple bucks and support the local business instead of Amazon.

  Fenway Photo is one of a kind and generous. I highly recommend this shop. They are very helpful and friendly. The sales people are very knowledgeable and patient. They answered all of the many questions I had. They have a great selection of new gear in-store and also have some used equipment available and the prices are great. Definitely go to Fenway if you have any photography needs or are looking for a gift for your photographer friends/family.

  Thought my weekend trip was on a downer when my Panasonic Lumix unexpectedly ran out of battery. Big local electronics store shrugged shoulders and said 'no chance' of USB lead. The lady in this shop actually thought about the situation and supplied a universal charger that worked perfectly. Weekend saved, many thanks!

  Went there to buy a memory card for my camera and they were extremely helpful and gave me good advice on I would need for my camera. I then called back a day later to buy photographic paper, the SD card and paper were extremely good value. If you're in New York I would totally recommend this shop for all your camera needs. Hello from California!

  First of all: They sell film. I come here because they have a very diverse variety including 120 like Ilford - and it's fridge mothballed! First address for me next time I visit NYC by plane and don't want to have x-rayed film.

  Most sophisticated shop for foto and video equipment in NYC. It stands out with plethora special deals, almost all of the prices equal those suggested retail prices that you can find in Amazon or B&H . Staff very pleasant and helpful . Also, I have good impression that staff well educated in photography and video. Recommend

  Exceptional service, ordered 8-18mm lens Panasonic lumix from Fenway Photos, was worried about the lens arriving on time, spoke to very helpful people likes of James & Stuart on the phone making sure my lens was being sent out on time. The service is outstanding, very receptive and informative, I would highly recommend anyone to buy from there, if your on a last minute situation make sure you order before afternoon to receive the next following day they use fast shipping. They have excellent gears take a look at the website. 8-18mm was very hard to find anywhere. surprisingly they had it! Thank you for this wonderful service!

  Can't recommend Fenway Photo enough, I bought a second hand lens from them and there was a slight defect with it. They looked after me every step of the way and had the issue resolved by the manufacturer. I will be buying all my gear from them from now on. Excellent service.

  Fluent people here! We've had some brilliant conversations with the salesman when trying to decide between various products. The store ambiance is nice and exudes the essense and there's even room to stop in and hang out and chat with other photographers. It's very inviting. The special event was also super cool last week and they had attractive prices, discounts, and tax free! It's absolutely worth the drive to go try it out!

  It's a top class cameras store. A typical tech gadget-geared store that you would expect from any electronics store. This location in particular? I've no complaints. They're there. They're a rich chain. Employees do what they're supposed to be doing. A tip when visiting the shop? Always be on the lookout for their Open Items. My husband and I bought our Sony 3D TV for cheap because it was "open item", and my husband bought an Olympus lens for cheap.

  Everyone is EXTREMELY sweet and helpful. I went in to get a tripod for my photography class and they broke things down so I could understand. You can tell they're just starting off, but with their business philosophy keep them ahead of the curve. The person that helped me was an older male, super sweet gentlemanly.   It is nice to find a camera store of this class where all staff have a firm grasp of the products they are selling. I enjoyed the fact that I was left alone to try their cameras and had a good discussion with the salesman I dealt with over the different products I was looking at. They were happy to accept my old camera as a trade in and we had a good chat on condition and agreed a trade-in price.

  Probably the best price place for used items. High-precision photos and item descriptions. Quick delivery. Ordered a la-ea3 Sony adapter online. They give free delivery for goods over $1000 with solid warranty and returns policy including used items. Highly recommended.

  The folks at Fenwayphoto Camera have been selling a lot of film for me lately and I can't say how fortunate I feel to a camera store in a stone's throw distance that can still do a great job of it at a fair price. The best part is that it's usually done same day. I do wish the antique cameras were somewhat lowly priced, but they do well on the sharpness. Go back to film, it's fun. The camera guys know what they're talking about if you need advice on gear. There's always a tempting antique in the used items, too. Cheers.

  I have just purchased a Panasonic HPX500 from Fenway Cameras. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and understood my needs as a photographer. They gave crystal-clear descriptions and had a flair for photography. Their approach was to show me the camera that they thought was best fine-tuned to my needs and were, I think, pleasantly surprised when I decided to go for the next model up, a decision that I do not in any way regret. After purchase I had an issue with linking the camera to my phone using the dedicated software. They went to a lot of trouble to get it sorted and fixed. That is the kind of service which will not be available on line and almost certainly not from a larger more general store, yet the price that I paid for the camera was comparable with prices Amazon and elsewhere. I strongly recommend this shop for thoughtful pre-sales advice, helpful service at the point of sale, and supportive after-sales service, too.

  I'm in New York for a couple of days doing a shoot and my customer dictates they want some Fenway Photos shots. I only shoot film for my Fenway work and thought I was in trouble. These guys took care of my film needs and even suggested a film for me to try that I hadn't used before. Very friendly staff. Wish we had more camera stores like this around. Thanks guys, keep up the good work. If you're in the NYC Vegas area and need anything photo related, they seem to have it all.

  I live in Seattle and purchased a Canon camera for Christmas last year! It was delivered fast and it was properly packed!!   The staff at Fenway Camera is friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered a special tripod that had a defective reinforcement bolt which stripped during the initial set-up. After calling the store, I brought back the defective item and was able to swap it out for a non-defective one. I really appreciated their understanding of my frustration and their quick assistance in rectifying the problem with the least amount of inconvenience for me. Emm always remembers which camera I own and even some of the equipment I purchased. Fenway Photos Camera is our go-to camera store!

  Best camera shop in NYC and beyond. As a full time traveling pro photographer, Fenway had everything available. Strobes, lenses, rentals, backgrounds, tripods, cases, monopods and even camcorders. Conveniently located, this isn’t your price gouging tourist shop... Just great pricing on all major brands in the business with friendly, knowledgeable staff.

  Store is easy to shop. Well organized. Floor staff was easy to find and knowledgeable. Didn't feel like I was being "sold". Told the staff what I was looking for and they gave me options and pros and cons of the choices. I felt very comfortable making my choice which was definitely not the most expensive option.   It is a nice and scintillating place. You can definitely find anything you need, but you need to speak to the staff about what you want to find. Though they got labeled some sections, there are some things you really need to make an effort to look for.

  Great, honest customer service. I needed help selected a specific item for my camera and and received honest feedback that reflected professional service without trying to take advantage of a customer. The salesman even price-matched the item that was available at Amazon for less money. With good service like this, I will make sure to return to Fenway Phtoz the next time I need new tech.

  Richest wealth of knowledge in this store - something that can be difficult to find online is a well educated opinion - Fenway staff have it! I was served by a guy that had been there for 7 years and he really helped me with camera and tech advice. Incredible place!

  A treasure shop for amateurs or professionals. Nice selection and they have the top of the range too. Not only that, they know what they are selling. Also many activities to help you develop your skills. Bought several camera’s here and am glad with them. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. You might find lower prices occasionally but being helped by people who know what they are talking about and can explain how a camera works to you is worth the difference. It’s the difference of being recommended a camera that fits your needs & budget vs. getting the camera with the highest bonus pushed. They also rent equipment if you need something special occasionally. One of the few remaining specialist shops with competent staff.

  Answered quickly but took a while to see if the item was in stock. Happy to hold it for me until I arrived, even offered to secure the item with a deposit over the phone. Was more expensive than other places in New York but didn’t take much to get it price matched.

  I have been shopping with Fenway Photo for almost 10 years now. The level of service I get from any member of staff has been nothing short of excellent. I can always be confident that I can walk in to Fenway at any time and be looked after. Stock levels are generally very good even for high demand items. Prices are competitive. If I had to complain it would be about their website. It really could do with an overhaul.

  Excellent customer service, both on phone, email and in-store. From the very first time I picked up the phone call querying my stock availability question, to attempting price matching and finally purchasing a $2k+ lens (with a very competitive offer), everything was pleasant. No one else in Manhattan had the lens, which was a very professional and rare lens, but they had it. Highly recommended!!

  If you want to judge the reputation of a business, peg it on how they respond when things go haywire and in this respect Fenway Photo passed with flying colors. I had to take back a product that was faulty and the whole process could not have been any easier or quicker. I would like to call out James whom I found to be particularly friendly and helpful. There was never any hard sell and Aaron had excellent product knowledge. Recommended!

  Glimpsed some good deals online, so visited the store as it is their closest location to me. Wasn't necessarily intending on buying the camera I was half interested in, as it was stretching my budget a little. I was pleased to learn that Fenway Photo matches their online prices (and those of others), including promotions. The lad that helped me, who I think was the manager, didn't pressure me, offered to show me around the camera and let me handle it etc... Online showed that the store was out of stock of the lens I needed to buy in order to get the deal on the camera I wanted... however, turns out the information was wrong, they had the lens. I ended up buying the camera and had a good visit. I'd been once before to this location several years ago. I wanted to take advantage of a buy 3 lens filters get a % off, but could really only find 2 I liked. After seeing me struggle, a sales associate said they'd just honour it on 2 filters. I recommend this location of Fenway Photo. Thank-you guys):

  They are the best. Super competitive rates at par with Best Buy and any other online deal. All sales associates are experts and know technical info well about the products. They are also very friendly. I strongly recommend this place for any cameras or related gears/accessories.

  A few days ago I spoke with a gentleman John over the phone, in regards to a new camera I was willing to purchase. He explained everything in detail of their pro's and con's and just helpful in every way. I actually scheduled to meet him the next following day but I got caught up with work and had to go there another day. I eventually went and the first person I spoke with was Allan he was just as helpful as John but in person explained to me everything to the exact point and within seconds I already know what camera I wanted to purchase. If any one heading to Fenway I highly recommend to speak with John, Allan, and I believe his knowledge under the belt makes him authoritative. Thank you so much!, Judy

  The best camera store you can go to. I don't frequently go camera shopping or buy lenses but the handful of times I have been to Fenway Photo in New York, the staff have always been impressive. They are very knowledgeable and work to give you the best deal for your budget. The past two times I've visited this store John has been the employee I have interacted with and both times he has shown top level customer service. Definitely a great sales representative to deal with.

  One of the best locations for photography and videography related items in New York. The only other option for this type of equipment is 42nd and their variety is very minimal. The staff are very friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. They always take their time and explain the equipment, the options available and advice appropriately. The only issue (and not really an issue when you take in as a whole) is that the trade in values are not as high as they could be for used equipment. Definitely highly recommended and will be coming back for sure (as I have been for the past 5 years or so).

  My sister and I went to Fenway's to enlarge a photo of my mother for her funeral service next week. John was such a great help during this difficult time. I honestly cannot say enough about the customer service we received from everyone that was working that day. You don’t see that very much these days.   Had a very pleasant experience at this location as John was able to assist us in picking out a new camera. He was very good at finding out what we were going to be shooting and provided several key things that helped us feel confident in our purchase. John also was able to give us a brief outline of some of the key features of the camera before we had to leave due to time constraints.   Great staff and lucrative deals when you shop around. Secured a street price deal on an open box GoPro Hero 5 for 130$. Staff is knowledgeable and very friendly able to answer your needs and help you get what you’re looking for. Never pushy on warranty like that expected at electronics stores.
