  Ordered some parts for an interior stair case railing in oak that a customer wanted installed in their home . Ordering was made easy through their website and everything arrived as planned . I used their economical line of stair parts but the material was actually quite nice , and the railing installation came out great .

  I had no intention of putting rod iron in our stairwell. But it was suggested to do this and it wound up being less expensive than having the spindles painted white and the railing stained dark. I really like to look it turned out wonderful and the product is awesome to work with.

  This company has excellent service, highest qualities and price is reasonable.I spent over $2,500 for stair materials in 2009 (house in Wichita Kansas), and another $2,500 in 2017 ( house in Seattle). These materials are for my own homes.

  We ordered a gorgeous, discontinued line of balusters, as well as an oak railing & newel posts from Cheap Stair parts. All have been installed and are one of the highlights of our home's design. Alas, the very long (20-foot) railing was damaged in transit (probably due to a shipping or packing error beyond CSP's control). We received a full credit for the price of the railing.

  We were very pleased with both the quality and the speed of the delivery. We placed a small order to get a sampling of a couple of different styles. Then we placed a larger order. It only took about 5 days for the big order to make it to Los Angeles, which is great considering the final order was pretty heavy and bulky.Everything looks good and the handyman we work with was able to get everything up in less than a day.

  After shopping around for months, we chose Cheap Stair Parts for our project. We bought over $2k in stair parts including balusters, newel posts, handrails and spindles to retrofit our old staircase with beautiful new iron parts over a year ago.Cheapstairparts.com was terrific. Their customer service department evaluated pictures of our existing staircase and made suggestions that were so helpful with our project. Ours was a little more complicated as we took out several half walls to build railings and the handrail was really tricky. We used both "new construction" techniques as well as the shoe system for replacing wooden spindles. The quality of all the parts, the ordering and delivery process was top notch and the system for replacing existing spindles was so easy. We did use the Zipbolt Railbolt system purchased elsewhere, it was a great system for amateurs, check out their YouTube videos before you decide what system to use to fasten your rails to your walls and newels. Eighteen months later, the finish on the spindles is like new, NO PROBLEMS whatsoever.Our quote for having the work done for us was over $8000. Cheapstairparts saved us enough to put new carpet upstairs! FANTASTIC VALUE!

  Remodel to create new look from carpet over builder pine stairs to oak with oak banister and bronze balusters. Most unusual banister request for only 4 stairs to landing to left turn of stairs to include a left hand volute w first step extension and handrail that curves to go up the wall 18" to connect. Luckily the carpenter understood my vision as I had already purchased the parts from you site! One step was cracked and your company replaced immediately we called. Your company is amazing! I am a female with a bit of understanding for working with wood. We went from thick bulky handrail to one I can actually hold on to with beautiful bronze old world balusters instead of coats of paint on square wood balusters. Huge thank you to your company for making my vision come true without paying a fortune. My husband thanks you for that. Highly recommend this company. They make it so easy. My carpenter had never heard of this kind of step cover and was amazed at how easy it all was. He took loads of photos for his album and actually sold his next job new stairs instead of painting the old ones.

  We decided to go with two different colors on our balusters. Before the items shipped we received an email and a call confirming we wanted two different colors. This is above and beyond regular service. Even though what we ordered was correct, I thought of others who may have accidentally ordered different colors. I know I would be greatly appreciative to be notified before it shipped so I could fix the problem. Great customer service and initiative to make sure the customer is happy!

  The parts worked as expected. In hindsight, I should have purchased the wrench to help tighten the nuts. Because of where I was installing the post and railing, I had to add some additional 2x4s to anchor, but that was the only modification I needed.

  I mistakenly purchased the wrong iron baluster shoes. I asked about returning them and was told that I would have to pay for return shipping and would also be charged a 25% "restocking fee," even though this was not a custom order, the items were unopened, and the parts are standard. Most other online companies offer free returns, and certainly wouldn't charge so much to simply put the unopened items back on the shelf. I will not buy from Cheap Stair Parts again and recommend buying your product elsewhere.

We only waive restocking fees when customers do an exchange, not just a return. The restock fees take into account the employees required to pull, pack, ship, receive in, inspect, restock as well as administrative accounting procedures required for a transaction. This is in fact, a standard practice with virtually every online merchant and without these policies we would not be able to keep prices as low as we can.I do appreciate the time you took to review our service, although the review is negative, we look for ways to improve our business and will take this into consideration.

  I replaced carpet covered stairs with oak steps. In addition, I replaced the railing, balustrades, and newel posts with items from Cheap Stair Parts. The quality was superb. Each part was perfect and the installer had no trouble using the materials. What a difference this made to my staircase!
