  Cheap Stair Parts did a great job of processing and fulfilling my order. I received the exact piece part count ordered without any damage.   Placed an a large order on Wednesday and the order arrived on Friday. Their customer support is top notch. They answered my questions via email and over the phone right away. When I placed my order they called to inform me that it was out of stock and called me right away if it's okay to upgrade me to a larger size. I would highly recommend this company and will use them again for future projects.

  Helpful people, good price for the partShipping charge is a bit too much.Other vendors charged up to $5 less for shipping. They just sold the part for more so the prices were the same. Had I been able to order this part from Lowe's, I would have saved $8.

  Hey Mark,Fedex / UPS have minimum shipping fees. You ordered 1 small part and unfortunately that does have a minimum ship charge. Our average order is a complete remodel and we have the best shipping rates for your typical staircase order and even a free shipping limit lower than anyone else online.I also feel a 3 star review is unfair as you seen the price before ordering. We didn't do anything wrong on our part.

  We received product much quicker than I expected! Products were beautiful, sturdy and good quality. We had extra leftover so I contacted company about returning those leftover items. I received a quick response from a representative who sent a return authorization for us and explained that there was a restocking fee. That was quite ok with us since we did not need any of the extra items and the price was so reasonable to begin with. The transformation from old staircase to the new one is stunning!!

  Hello! Our website sends out automated order confirmations, tracking details & more. If you did not receive this I apologize but we do send them with every order. It is working. We have had customers respond back to some just today. I spoke to my webhost and they looked at the logs and found the outgoing mail. It is possible it went to spam. I did just send you a test manually as well.

  I received the package a bit later than anticipated, that’s not all. When I opened the package my wood molding cap was damaged (chipped edge) and I am still missing two end caps. After speaking with customer service about the delay in delivery, they told me I would get the other half of my order in 6-8 weeks. Totally unacceptable.

  Hey there Albert. I did reach out to you about this issue a few minutes ago. We can reship the damaged material for free no problem. Please respond to the email and let me know exactly which part had a chip. As for the delay we have a sister location that we were hoping to get that part from in time and express out to avoid any delays however we missed our transfer truck twice! I have a confirmation from the manager that it is in fact on the way here and we will express it out when we have it. There won't be a 6-8 week wait.

  I ordered the oak handrail and the product discription omitted that the handrails were made up of 12" to 16" finger jointed pieces. Due to the amount of joints I'm having to paint instead of staining. Painting trippled finishing cost and delayed the project completion. I would have returned if I didnt have to have railing installed asap.Sincerely disappointed.

  Hello. I do apologize the handrail was not what you may have been expecting.No solid piece handrail for stairs exists for sale. Virtually all wood handrail produced is created with multiple layers / pieces as to prevent future warping. The pieces have grain going against each other so when they bend, the bend against each other and remain straight as possible. This is the same for virtually every wood tread and newel post in the USA. 100% completely solid single piece wood has too great of chance of warping / bowing one direction so because of this it is not manufactured this way. A perfect example is shopping for 2x4s and a good portion of them are showing signs of warping.We install these in 10+ homes daily in our local for custom and production builders and they always look great after staining.

  Not only were the 113 ballusters and shoes I ordered at my door in around 5 days (about the same time my local stair supply could have them), they were rolled right up to my door, packaged neatly, and at over $300 less than my local supply house wanted. I received excellent advice when I called to verify the parts I needed before placing the online order. I couldn't be happier with the parts, service and especially the price!

  The balusters arrived fast and each item is individually wrapped. We installed it just now and it looked good. The balusters are easy to align, however the shoes are a little bit small that the old holes are a bit visible (or maybe i bought the wrong size but i didn't know if they come in different sizes)

  I have purchased more than twenty of your oak stair treads through Lowe's in Marquette, MI. Most were 48". The most recent was an online order for a 96" tread. What came (in a timely manner) was NOT 96".I called your company to get a replacement I was told that the Lowe's order specification does not exist in their product line.the order was for 1x13x96. RO-8070-18x60 RO BULLNOSED 1X18X60) was sent instead.I ordered the one I needed with a nice person on the phone. I paid by credit card. It came in a timely manner.I took the wrong one to Lowe's where they cheerfully refunded to my Lowe's card.All the treads I have used from your company have been flawless. I even cut one up to make a newel post.

  Cheap Stair Parts was super helpful in finding parts that other sites said were not in stock (and not sure they would be in stock again). Plus, one item that was not supposed to be shipped until early December came with the rest of our order. Great under promise, over performan. My only suggestion for improvement is when giving out the website over the phone, spell it out in addition to saying it. I kept hearing it as Cheapspareparts.com. Whoops!

  The price was good but one number was off in our zip code and they shipped it to a completely other town and state. While I understand it was my fault for putting the wrong zip code, they should have checked the city and state written (hence why we put all 3!)

  Product did not mention that it was a constructed beam with a vernier top. I needed it solid as it stated so as to shape it. Could not shape due to its construction being too random and out of too many pieces for color match.

  This is a product review and not a service review so this should be removed.The product you ordered is 100% red oak. Every woodmill creates wood newels out of multiple layers, typically they are constructed in a way that prevent warping / bending overtime.

  I ordered 69 baluster which appeared on the website to be in stock. I received an email a day later saying there was 10 day back order. I chose to pay the extra $75/shipping by freight line with a lift due to the weight & I have bad knees. Late on a Friday got an email that my order was closed. I call Monday morning to find out it had shipped & I was given a phone number to call the freight company to check on delivery. When I called that day at ~ 11:00 AM I was told it was out for delivery today between 9 AM to 5 PM. I asked why I wasn’t called since I did not live at the delivery address & was not available to receive. They said that was Cheap Stairs responsibility. I was able to get off work so I could receive the shipment. When the driver arrived he had no lift even though I paid for it. Thank God the driver carry all the boxes into my garage. I have no issue with the balusters but shipping which I paid extra for was a nightmare!UPDATE: Cheap Stair Parts refunded the $75.00 shipping fee for my troubles. I updated my review to 5 stars for this refund. The balusters themselves are great! Thanks Cheap Stair Parts!

I see we did note the bill of lading to call for delivery appointment and also to add the lift-gate fee.It appears the issue lies with the shipping company 100%. For residential deliveries they are supposed to call you, schedule a delivery time and show up during that time. He should of also had a lift-gate as instructed.I will refund the lift-gate fee for the troubles.

  I updated the staircase in our home by replacing the wood balusters with wrought iron and it looks amazing!!! When we had our home built (a year ago) the builder wanted $5K to upgrade 80 wood balusters to wrought iron, sure that I can get a better price we passed. When I was ready to tackle the staircase as my latest project, I went to the Big Box stores (the Blue and Orange one) to price wrought iron balusters, price was much cheaper than what the builder wanted but still more that what I was willing to pay. After searching the internet for Iron Balusters, I came across Cheap Stair Parts not only was their prices 15% cheaper (this is before the instant 20% off coupon!) they carry the same name brand (House of Forgings) as the Big Box stores. So impressed with the product quality, fast shipping, and customer support from Cheap Stairs Parts I placed another order two weeks later to update the staircase in my brother’s home. Don’t be fooled by their name, when you shop with Cheap Stairs Parts you are getting high quality items. Highly recommend them for your stair projects!!

  All items seem to be of a very high quality. Though the rail appears to have come off another job site because it had drywall paste splattered on it. This sanded off easily.The web site was very easy to use and the customer service was incredible.The items were both heavy and bulky, so I expected high shipping costs.   I checked with several on line and brick and mortar stores when planning my new staircase. They were either 2x as expensive or they only had sort of boring normal parts. I did a modern staircase with oak 4x4 posts and black horizontal balusters. It turned out great and the total cost for materials was about $1000.00. On another website, they estimated about $3000.00. During the process I found that I was 1 post short and had to get an oak 4x4 from the local Menards. The quality was much less than the ones I had purchased from your website. I definitely would use this outlet in the future. Also, even though I was prepared to wait the 3 weeks that it said I should expect to get the posts, all the materials came much quicker than that. Wish I could upload a photo....but it doesn’t seem to give me that option.

  The Newell post arrived in very good time and in good shape. The wood is good quality and the carpentry attractive. As advertised, It is adjustable but not to the height I thought (45 inches). I specifically asked about the smallest height it could go down to. My handyman is going to cut it down to a height of 45 but attaching it to the wood floor is also a problem. I bought the kit but it doesn’t adapt to my wood floor. The handyman is VERY clever and will find a way but obviously it will add to a the total price of the installation. We haven’t quite figured it all out yet so I cannot say anything about the final outcome of the project which is unconventional. Hopefully it will have been worth it.
