    What should have been an easy exchange after the purchase of a defective Versi-Foam product turned into a lousy first experience with Best Materials. The versa foam kit I ordered arrived with a clogged tube. I called Best materials and spoke with Chuck. He said to email him photo documentation of the clogged tube first and then try it out. He said that if the kit didn’t perform properly he said that best materials would replace the product promptly. I used the product and found that the product was off-ratio and made a mess. I called Chuck back to report the bad results but he didn’t pick up so left both voicemail and email follow-ups with an update. I didn’t hear back from him so I called him the next day. He didn’t seem to know who I was or what I was talking about initially and then became very irritated over the phone with me. He obviously hadn’t checked his email and received my updates after our initial phone conversation. Chuck needs to check his emails and his irritated phone attitude. He probably needs to be pulled off any phone Customer Support and retrained until he can represent Best Materials more professionally. By contrast, Kristina was terrific and sent out a replacement unit promptly.

    Best Materials was great to work with and I did receive some helpful support from their customer service department. The check out process gave me multiple issues and I had to "clear my cache/browser" a number of times. It was a frustrating day and the errors in completing the order happened at a bad time. I had NO issues with the order or the delivery. Everything went smoothly. Just some processing/transaction hiccups.

    Everything came in on time ~ very quick shipping. I still have not used the product yet, but will advise when the project is completed. I intend to use the washers on T&G ceiling tile that are delaminating from the sheetrock substrate. The ceiling tile just need a little help holding onto the substrate.

    Item said In Stock. Called and was told item would ship next business day and that it was in stock. Placed order. 2 days later called and was told it requires a 2 to 3 day lead time and was told it says that on the website. I told the cs rep that when I ordered it said it was in stock and that I had also called. He showed no concern or sympathy but instead treated me like a lier and again said it required a 2-3 day lead time. On the third day I received an email saying the product was backordered. Horrible customer service agent. Horrible website. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

    My product was backed ordered the first time I attempted to order. Second time I ordered the same product said it wluld be delivered in a couple weeks.     This has been going on for weeks. After reciving what was a shorted wrong order which I paid $50 extra for to be shipped in a reasonable time. I received 8 out of 10 of the wrong item shipped to me in a custom sized (full) box. I have now spent hours on what should have been minutes to resolve this. My original objective was to figure out what went wrong and order obtain the correct item (and of course amount i needed). After multiple emails and phone calls I have now lost the job over it and made to look very unprofessional.( never happened in over 20 yrs of business). I had informed multiple people at best materials That it was the wrong order and short. One was in an email that predates a conversation I had with a higher up who informed me he would send me a RMA for a return and a link to the correct item if I wanted to reorder. I informed him as well it was short but got no response. I am now told repeatedly that I will only receive a partial refund (1 of 2) because I sent back " a shorted order" 8 of 10 pcs.? Why would someone not send back an over priced incorrect item? In the same custom fit box (no packing materials and same shipping labels)? I sent back thier same full box with a new lable on the other side. Mistakes are made i was understanding of it because of the times that were in.I was understanding at first but now I am out thousands of dollars and more importantly my reputation is at risk due to the amount of time I have spent dealing with Arguing with Best Materials. It would have been preferred that the correct item was sent and a full credit was issued as soon as the return was received by the post office. Them everyone is happy and they would have profited from my continued business. At a bare minimum Issue a full credit. Instead my guess is that more time will be wasted with debating or flat out denial about any wrong doing.

    Poor packaging. My second order arrived pretty much exploded into two piles - one the pallet, another on a second pallet the driver reloaded. Tiles are somewhat indestructable, but it created extra work unloading and made it difficult to count.
