  I was a little skeptical ordering online initially, but the prices were significantly less than the equivalent product I found locally, so I took a shot & ended up very impressed. Our order shipped quickly - a week from the order date to delivery, our order was packaged very well and there was no hidden fee's. The only downside was that our order was shipped in 5 boxes, so we were charged additional brokerage fees for the multiple packages (we're in Canada). However, it wasn't a lot and still ended up being less than we'd pay for the same product here. We will not hesitate to order from here again.

  Overall, I'm happy with the result regarding my order with BestMaterials. I ended up getting what I needed sooner than the rep for BestMaterials told me over the phone. The ordering process was a little difficult and I had to "clear" my order from their website ordering system and start from scratch. Why, I don't know. But the 2nd time worked fine and I got what I needed in a very reasonable time frame.

  I ordered the material on December 11th to ship to Miami. The salesperson checked with shipping and told me they would ship out that same day. The product was suppose to be delivered in 3 days. Today is now Friday December 29th and the product still has not arrived. Initially the shipper said the product was delivered on December 17. The truck stopped but only had the Bill of Lading and no product on the truck. The shipping company tells us that they are in Atlanta and call them on January 2nd. The company who sold them said I would get an email from logistic on where they are three days ago and have still not received an email. I have a job site shut down waiting for this product. These are just the facts.

  The site is awkward to use, unless you click specific buttons in a specific order, the website gives you "quantity error" - but I figured it out, by accident, and was able to order the part I wanted. No confirmation of shipping or status of the order per se; I did receive an email finally that informed me by order had shipped: This was after I found the box on my front porch. I mean, it wasn't terrible ... but it also wasn't great.

  Only received 1 out of 4 items on time! Was not informed at any time that there was a problem with the rest of the order, until I called Best Materials. I Had a time sensitive job and paid for 3 day delivery. Talked to a customer service person named Chuck who indicated that there was a problem with the color of NP1 that I ordered, there was no explanation of why I wasn't contacted immediately! I told him The color was not important, and he said that he was shipping the color he had in stock out overnight. One weeks after my original order, with 3 day shipping, and One more week after, they resent out the reorder, overnight air I still hadn't received my order! My out of town job was completed by that time, and work crew had left for home. I called Chuck again to find out what was going on with the order,( that UPS had in their possession). I informed him I no longer needed the product as the job was complete, and to pease cancel the order, and refund any charges to my card! which has not been done yet!

  I felt that from the time I ordered this item on line to the time it arrived was three weeks. I was hopeful to get it earlier, so I could apply before the cold weather possibly set in. Thankfully mid December in the high desert of AZ proved to be mild and I was able to apply tape. Thankfully all worked well, but the average rating is due to the length of time to receive this product.

  Best Material calls this item a 10 inch defuser lens for your solar tube light assembly. Unfortunately, the item is NOT 10 inches. In fact it’s 11 inches! When I called Best Material for an explanation or offer to exchange the item a monotoned careless customer service person stated in the description (buried) the item is described as 11.25 inches. I explained even this information is inaccurate because the item is in fact 11 inches in diameter, no more no less! She stated that’s just how they are manufactured. Frustrated I purchased a non-refundable item $32.00 and not even an offer to switch it out. When I asked for a 9 inch defuser lens she put me on hold to check. Never doing business with this crappy company again.
