  Horrible Horrible service Purchased a photo etch for F6f2 Hellcat on June 29. No where on the 1001 Model Kit web site was there a clear statement that products would be shipped from France!!. On July 6 received an e mail that product had been shipped and I would receive a postal tracking number as soon as available. Never received the tracking number. I telephoned customer service and got a recorded message in French! Sent another e-mail and got response ""will answer as soon as possible."" It is now July 14, and product not received. I live on the US east coast in New jersey so product should have arrived after eight (8) days intransit, unless mailed by boat. Sent another e-mail with the same standard response ""will answer as soon as possible."" I am in the process of notifying Visa that I will not pay the charges to my account because of non delivery. I never had such a terrible experience with model hobby vendors. You are unable to speak with anyone, and recorded telephone messages are in French. I STRONGLY URGE ANYONE CONSIDERING PURCHASING FROM THIS VENDOR TO REMEMBER THAT THE WAREHOUSE SHIPPING POINT IS IN FRANCE AND THAT THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO COMMUNICATIONS FROM THIS VENDOR AS TO THE STATUS OF AN ORDER other than it was shipped. Personally I do not believe this vendor had the product in stock, and never actually shipped this product. If you live in Canada or the USA beware doing business with this vendor. I am resigned to the fact that my money will not be refunded and is lost. WRP Finally on July 18 received merchandise. It had been mailed from France on July 12 and not July 6 as claimed in the vendor's e-mail. The product was ordered on June 29. Had the vendor been honest as to the date of shipment, and answered my e-mail queries, all this time wasting mess could have been avoided. This organization is a mess, never again will I place an order. They are unable to communicate effectively with the customer.

  Haven't Received my order yet. Order was sent to old address. I had thought I had changed it in time to get it sent to my present address. Am working with former landlord to try & track down where the package ended up. Not really a critisism of 1001 modelkits, as much as DSL, who could of done a better job checking who was signing for the package

  Merchandice was ordered and charged to my MC account 22 days ago and there has been no follow up It is stuck in Paris France with no movement I will never order from this company again. I've dealt with many online companies, but never have had to wait this long for my order. I'm not even sure I'll ever get this order and plan to send a letter to Capital One stating that I never received the merchandise ordered and want my money credited to my MC account. I'm afraid I have been ripped off for the first time ordering online.

  Not a UK Company-'1001 Modelkits' I was furious that they gave the impression you were ordering from the UK when I fact they are located in France. After almost a week, I got an email to say ""your order is being processed"" say what?! How hard is it to go pick 2 cans of spray varnish and pack them? After another week my item arrived. Why would I wait 2 weeks for an order from France, when I can buy exactly the same product WITHIN the UK. Misleading.

  Where is my order I ordered a couple of masking sets on August 11, 2016 I received a note on August 12, 2016 that my order was processed and that my payment was received. I have yet to receive any correspondance with a ship date or DHL tracking number. I have since sent 2 more request and no answer. This is not the way to run a business.   Great Planes Super Sportster 40 Ordered a Great Planes Super Sportster 40 ARF kit at a good price from 1001 Modelkits and was pleased with the service.   What A RIP OFF I paid £26.00 for what I thought was a Supermarine Spitfire T9 two seat trainer with decals model kit, but turns out I paid £26.00 for badly detailed and moulded bits of plastic. I now have to purchase a Supermarine Spitfire MK 9 model kit to obtain the model I thought I was purchasing. They need to make it very clear on the website that you will be paying of OVERPRICED bits of plastic.

  Decal order Not happy with the service.....after seeing and paying one price for decals, my invoice for billing showed a higher price of about $4.50 higher than should have been....They said orders will be shipped in about 6-8 days after receving. which was on Aug 17,...its now been over 2 weeks and my order says its still being processed...I have written them twice asking about my order and as of yet no reply..I understand it comes out of France, but there should be some connection here...Customer service is a 617 area code...so NOT HAPPY WITH SERVICE AT ALL!!!!!!

  Nice Decals I did not know that my order was coming from France, being here in the US and ordering something overseas its a scary undertaking. BUT 1001 delivered, not only did my order come through, but also that everything was there and well. Now keep in mind that your order ships from France so be patent unless you pay for the more expensive shipping option.   Now the 8/08/16. It's a long few days and still no reply to direct emails and no refund. I would advise you to be wary of this company and shop around. I ordered 2 kits on behalf of my son only to find out the next day that I had ordered the wrong kits. I immediately emailed details cancelling my order and asked for a reply confirming this. Ten days later and after quite a few emails done through the website contact us page as instructed I hve heard nothing, The onle email I have had was one stating......Your order is currently being processed. We are waiting for a product currently being brought by one of our providers. You will be notified as soon as your order is sent. Not the best customer service team. I suspect they want my £83.

  Quite good for rare kits I've purchased a couple of kits from this site. Both were very difficult to find elsewhere let alone at sane prices. Generally this site is a bit on the expensive side for common kits, but for rare/older kits they generally are cheaper. However, they do have real sales which bring normal kits down to more reasonable prices. In my few experiences delivery has been around 3 weeks from their French warehouse to Ireland. That's a bit slower than most other European sites. No problems to report...

  A Wee Bit Disappointed I did receive my item when expectedbut was disappointed that my rather expensive items arrived bent with only a bubble mailer to ""protect"" them. Items were metal and flexible but are not meant to be sharply bent. A piece of cardboard in the envelope could have prevented all of that and not added much to the weight. Paid $20 for shipping to America and expected a bit more care for the price.

  Slow delivery and poor quality item. Very disappointed. Delivery took 10 days. The paint, Humbrol Polished Steel, was very poor- separated into solid clumps and liquid, despite stirring, and was not fit for purpose. This is really Humbrol's fault but the supplier should ensure it supplies decent products. The definitions for the star ratings seem heavy on 'friction' and 'conduct'. I had no problems in these areas, but the whole experience was still Bad

  poor I had to chase to find where my purchase was. If you do use them, only use paypal or some other system which allows you to chase them effectively or get your money back. They use Hermes as one of their carriers, difficult to judge where your parcel is as they don't update their system correctly.

  Great follow-up and item received in good order. Fairly slow from order to receipt, but kept informed of shipping progress at regular intervals. Item arrived well packaged and damage free. Great catalogue from 1001 Modelkits, masses of figures to choose from and my request was met. Only one manufacturer and one set of figures out of 3,000 met my needs and 1001 Modelkits had it and supplied. Well done guys!!.

  I would give zero stars if possible! I ordered a model areoplane kit on the 8th of December, 2017 and it never arrived. I got an email saying it had shipped on the 17th of December and it still never came. Despite contacting 1001 Models numerous times via their website, email, Facebook and phone (answering machine, my French friend even left a message in French!) they have never responded to me. I am extremely upset as I am out of pocket and my 90 year old grandfather is missing his Christmas present. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

  No reply I had ordered a set of decals, and received an email that my order had been processed good so far. On this email was my order number, and a link to check your order status. Here's where things changed: I tried the link, and got an error, telling me my order number was not correct. After a few tried, I went to the homepage/contact us link. I sent an email with my info and order number, yet have not heard anything back as of yet. Then, the following day, I received this email asking for a rating. It would do well to ask about the customer experience after some attempt at customer service was made.

  First try with this company. I was able to get a kit I'd been wanting for some time, which was excellent. The site was easy to use, until I got to the credit card details, with the on-line form being entirely in French. I did figure it out but was then informed there was a problem with my payment. I tried the helpline, but the recorded message was also in French, which I couldn't understand. I sent an E-mail, to which I did get an English reply. The delivery took about 2 weeks, which I thought was a bit lengthy. I would definitely use them again, however.

  I haven't received my order # 95808, bought on 1/14/2017 Ordered through PayPals on 1/14/2017. 1001 stated that it was shipped on 1/20/2017. I haven't as yet received my order. When contacting them on the 617.849.9224 phone number, the message after ringing about 10 times, is not in English, so this number is useless to me. The price of the order was $15 plus change. When I ordered this through their website, the price changed in front of me to $23 plus change. Very sneaky. I will NOT use this company again! When issuing a grievance through PayPal, 1001 states it has been shipped.

  Delivery The delivery time for just a few model paints was terrible. I could have built the whole model in the time I have waited for the correct paints and after three weeks one still has to be delivered. I am sure I'm not the only one who has waited more than three weeks for delivery which is not acceptable in today's market.

  Universal Carrier Mk 1 I bought this model to commemorate the fact that my father drove one of these when he was in the Dutch army.
