1001 Hobbies remains the only one-stop shop I have found for Humbrol matt enamels. The inventory is complete and the service is reliable. That has not been true for any on-line sites (or shops) I have found in the USA. Mil fois merci.

I actually never received the product. I received an empty envelope. I reached out a couple of different ways but didn't get any response back until I went directly to the website. When I did get through, the responses were very fast and I was refunded quickly. So poor choice of shipping packaging, and some delay in getting through but once that happened, the problem was resolved quickly.

I received the wrong items after delivery was already late. Instead of two bottles of Thinner, I received 2 small jars of paint. I contacted customer service & it took two weeks for a reply asking for pictures. Another 3 weeks has passed since I sent pictures. I've asked for an update but have not received an update or a reply. Customer service is poor AT BEST.

Do NOT order anything from this company. I ordered some model paints on 12/27/24 and received a used, EMPTY, folder on 1/10/25. Had to email them twice to get a response for a refund and now I have to complete and sign an affidavit and wait for an investigation. Horrible service, stay far away from this company.

I think you guys did a great job in timely delivery despite being international shipment. But the only problem is the "humbrol enamel thinner" was leaking 90% of it is leaked out because I am guessing customs guys opened it and didn't close the lid properly. But I am ok having that 10% left. At least my daughter's painting project continued without any impediments.

The items were well packed and in good condition upon arrival although neither kit was shrink wrapped. The order took almost a month to arrive. I did not realize the kits were coming directly from Europe. The price was not low enough to justify the long lead time. Tracking information from France was vague at best.

This review could have been worse. The item shipped was not what I ordered, and communication with their customer service was complicated by the fact that they are located in France creating time and language barriers. However I do feel that they cared and did show concern for the issues, even if they couldn't resolve them, so I gave them the benefit of the doubt.

I was quite pleased to see that1001 Hobbies had a Model Kit I didn't know existed, a 1/72 scale Convair Seadart jet fighter seaplane model kit. The model kit took awhile to get to me, but once I realized it was being shipped from France to me in the US, it all made perfect sense. Unfortunately during ship ment the box containing the kit was partially crushed either by the French or US Postal Services. It is equally possible that the US or French Customs Departments damaged the shipping box. The model kits box even got some creases and could be seen from the half destroyed shipping box. In other words, the model kit's box got beat up pretty good during shipment. The good news is that despite the abuse the model kit recived during shipment, the parts inside the model kit's box remained undamaged and intact, but it was a close call. All tha being said I am looking forward to getting around and building this model kit and I will checking out the website for possible purchase of additonal model kits.

My only issue was shipping. The box came destroyed. Semi taped by USPS on one end and totally open on the other. I was worried as I opened thinking the smaller items had plenty of room to slip out, but to my delight, the order was intact. It had a good amount of brown packaging paper. Iβm sure that is why nothing was able to escape. Im are my grandson will enjoy completing this model.

Product box arrived in a shipping box that showed no damage. The product box itself was crushed and had been opened and then taped shut again. I inspected the contents of the product box and found no damage to the model parts. I am satisfied with the results although I don't think the product was new.

The item I ordered took two weeks to ship, then it came from France to the US, then from the US back to France, then finally was delivered in broken condition. The packaging was only the item inside of a brown box with no protection. I have reached out for a way forward on a replacement or return but havenβt heard anything. You have the best variety of 1/72 aircraft kits of any site I've come across online. I normally prefer not to deal with overseas companies because of past issues elsewhere with shipping, costs, and items not showing up but decided to try 1001Hobbies. Understanding that it takes time for you to get the product from the manufacturer and process the order, I'm not sure that the 10 weeks it took for my latest purchase to arrive will be acceptable as a regular practice.

The decals that I had ordered were on back order. After several months I gotten an email saying they were shipped. In the meantime I already acquired another sheet from someplace else. So now I have two sheets of decals on the same issue. Orders that are back ordered should have an email sent to be sure the customer still wants the item. The shipment took a dreadful beating enroute, and customer service worked with me quite well to deal with the problem. Having shipped world-wide myself, the advantages of single-carrier shipping are well known to me, despite the higher cost.

The excessive delay in shipping generated additional costs and logistical complications for me to receive the purchased order. I live in Argentina, I bought so that the order could reach a relative in the USA, calculating enough time for it to reach this person before traveling to my country and bringing it to me. The shipment to the USA was delayed, my family member traveled without having received the order, and in the end I was able to receive it by arranging the shipment to my country by another means with additional costs. Furthermore, when I requested the return they wanted to charge me for shipping costs, with the business being responsible for the time it took for delivery.

We ordered WW2 bombs for an art project. We considered them fairly pricey but they were a necessary part of the project. It took months to get them putting the project way behind. But the worst part was when they came. They werenβt just small, they were super tiny. They looked like the remnants of the plastic and not the actual object. Totally unusable but by the time we would have paid for return shipping it would not have been worth it. They ended up in the trash as totally unusable and we wasted nearly $80!

I ordered two copies of the book Void King in hardback. They delivered two copies of the book in paperback. I checked the website. Yep, the pictures are of a hardback book. I contact them asking them to resolve the issue, they respond, tell me how embarrassing it is for them, then I never hear from them again.
