  Back in December I bought a brand new Z CAM E2-F8 with CFast 2.0. First proper cine kit I've bought. I got lots of help from the guy in store and I got teleconverters for my tamron lenses. Got the kit in an awesome promo which included cable, bag, cleaning kit and front &rear caps. Great deals on the website new and used. Will be going back for all my equipment needs. Camcorders and digital cameras also available, will come in useful when I get my basketful of accessories. I will be recommending to everyone.

  I ordered the Battery Slide for RED KOMODO Camera after the arrival of my Komodo. Dedicated for the job and offers the essential pieces. It holds up quite firmly and instills confidence in it's durability. To top it all, it's compact just like the Komodo.

  Went to WILLOUGHBY'S CAMERA EMPORIUM to buy my first birding scope which was recommended to me by a friend.   I've bought the Deluxe Canon 5D Mark IV kit at willoughbys.com. This kit was even better than I expected! All of the add-on extras are amazing and definitely so is the camera! This was my first monumental upgrade and I couldn't be happier!

  Bought Kodak Fixer & Replenisher for C-41 Processing Kodak Gold and was sent a substitute from another brand which I really didn't want. Tried to arrange for a return but after the initial contact I didn't have any response to my emails. At the end of the day it's like $38 worth of chemistry so I don't want to make a big song and dance about it, but it's just liquid concentrate and that I was ignored. I'm sure it was just a one off, but it's not the best service I've had

  Great shop for drone & aerial kits. Fantastic selection and very knowledgeable staff. Also, the best selection of film cameras and tripod supports i have ever seen.   The competent and friendly owner has created an analog gem in the middle of New York. Outside of B&H PHOTO, it is not easy to look at cameras and lenses that are just as old and novelty digital cameras, willoughby's is a beneficial alternative on site.

  First time shopping with Willoughby's Camera. I ordered over multiple items online, on a Friday evening. I was surprised and over the moon to see every item at my door on the following Monday, especially with the size of my order and the current circumstances in the world. Such a speedy delivery. I received excellent customer service. The staff were quick to respond to my queries and were very knowledgeable on their products. I will definitely shop here in future for my models and equipment. Willoughby's have proven themselves a reliable retailer.

  The shop window alone is worth a look. Behind it a wonderful little shop, full of everything a photographer's heart desires. All kinds of cameras, lenses, tripods and curiosities from the world of photography. The prices are fair. The film lab (also film rolls) is definitely worth a look, and the owner is a personable man with a lot of expertise and patience for his customers. I always like to visit the store.

  A super nice shop. The owner is very good, can clean a sensor quickly, is very patient, and the camera is now super powerful. Since I discovered this store, I can't help but come here every time I go shopping on the main street. My classmates and I came here four times last week. I was leaving Manhattan soon, and I went to the camera shop with my friends. The boss gave each of us a gift, so happy.

  Detailed discussion and demonstration w. Ricoh GR III and batteries kit. No time and sales pressure. Slept over it one night. The next day all my new questions were answered with competence, I bought the camera with a GW-4 Wide Conversion Lens. Silvio and his colleagues are consultants for the customer and secondly is sales. Super team and the reason why Internet purchase is not really worth it, because the prices are not better there.

  I have already bought aerial lenses and cameras from Willoughby's Camera in New York. I appreciate the proximity to where I live, as well as the good service and advice, whether in the shop or by email. In addition, the prices are very good and in my cases were always below those of B&H or Amazon. Even products that are not available in the online shop - in my case a certain Hasselblad HC 35mm f/3.5 - were specially ordered for me after consultation so that I could buy it in New York. And again at the best price. Therefore, I fully recommend Willoughby's Cameras.

  The guys in Willoughby's Camera are just great. I have been looking around for a new DSLR camera for a while but was worried about making an impulse choice in buying one. I spoke to Greg and went over the different options and explained it all. I'm really happy with my choice - Canon EOS-1D X Mark III and will be coming back to Willoughby's Camera again for lenses.

  I live remotely, but save my camera gear shopping till I'll be in the area. These folks know what they are talking about and have personally used the equipment they sell. I'm working into some new areas in photography, and I really appreciate the time they take explaining options and making suggestions. They could have sold me more expensive equipment, but instead sold me what I need. I really appreciate it.

  Went over for the first time and was really impressed with the entire store from the selection of equipment to customer service.   The symbol of product experts!! The most friendly staff of any business I have ever been in!! The frequent deals are awesome and a great experience. Being able to speak directly to Pentax, Sony, Olympus ambassadors etc., is very striking! The workshops they run are immensely beneficial, I honestly have nothing negative to say. It's a photographer's dreamland.

  This is very rare of Willoughby's Cameras I have never had a problem but this UV Haze MRC-Nano 010M 77mm I received was clearly a return or was open in the store because it was extremely dirty for something you want to put on the front of your camera luckily I was able to get it cleaned up and it was not worth going through the trouble to replace it but it was just disappointing.

  My favorite high-street camera store in the New York area. The entire staff is helpful and knowledgeable. It's obvious that they enjoy their work and are passionate about photography. Nobody has ever tried to upsell me - they care about finding the product that will best meet my needs. This store has a huge selection of cameras, lenses, and accessories (including film). They cater to amateurs and professionals. Their rental department is amazing - I've used them several times. They also offer classes and other learning events. Their printing service is high quality and priced competitively. In short, I have no complaints.

  Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM It’s a weather-resistant lens, with sealing at the lens mount, switch panels, Control Ring, and manual focus ring. Overall moisture-resistance and durability from impacts, shock and so on are similar to recently-introduced Canon L-series lenses. Canon RF 85mm f/1.2L USM lens a very shallow depth of field.

  A Paradise for Digital Rangefinder lenses. I purchased this Voigtlander Ultron 28mm F/2 for my M6, attached with a m-mount adapter. It is solidly built, tack sharp, and a revolutionary tool for my camera bag. Manual focus and aperture adjustment are straightforward. I expect this lens will serve many generations of mirrorless cameras into the future. A great lens for street photography.

  I wanted a workhorse camera for my horse show photography and Greg recommended a Canon 7D Mark II. Super fast auto-focus, crisp images, dual card slots. I pair this camera with a 100-400mm Mark II and a 1.4x Mark III teleconverter. This gives me approximately 18 power with the ability to focus to 1bout 1 meter. Great camera even if it's not the trendy one around. Also got very quick service and deliver, as usual, from Willoughby's Camera.

  Just ordered an M50 and accessory from Silvio at Willoughby's Camera Emporium and what a delightfully helpful experience! We ordered it as a gift for our 16 year old grandson and we had no knowledge whatsoever of this product, Silvio was amazingly helpful giving us very valuable advice and nothing was too much trouble, Silvio could not have been more helpful throughout our order!   Started in 1893 by Charles Willoughby, Willoughby's Camera is among the handful Post-Amazon shops in New York. These guys would be way too hard to beat. Their prices are bang on and their service is out of this world. They are super friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and very eager to help all levels. I've been into photography for about 5 months and have already had my fair share of condescending salespeople. You won't find it here. These guys are aces and have already won a place as my favorite camera store I've been in so far. And I've traveled quite a bit and seen a few so far.

  I bought a Sony Alpha a6100 recently, so I bought it a little cheaper because it was an exhibition product, but thanks to Silvio, I was happy to shop. He cleaned the sensor a few days later and it was quick and friendly. Thank you Silvio and friendly staff. Good service.

  This 82mm Wide Angle adapter ring is an easy-to-use aluminum adapter that can connect Lee filter holder to my lens. It is straightforward, but costs way more than it should, and WCE stocks LEE & HOYA more than other vendors. Hence, 3 stars. Why buy it here? There is always a shortfall of these adapters and WCE had it. Lee told me in an email that the wide angle adapter will work for Tokina 11-20mm f/2.8 Wide-angle Zoom in Nikon Mount . I used this to build a DIY Lee connector but it failed. If you are looking to build a wide-angle Lee holder, this is a perfect fit for 82mm filter lenses.

  If you're looking for a local camera shop look no further than pro willoughby's camera ny. They carry a wide selection of gear for Panasonic, Canon, Olympus, Sigma, etc. The owner, Charles is also one of the nicest guys I've met. Always willing to help you out, answer questions you have, give advice, and teach people about their cameras. They even have a striking selection of equipment to lease, loads of Pentax, Nikon, and Panasonic, but he's always adding more and looking at rentals for camcorders and cine lenses aswell.

  Got rangefinder lenses from them (Voigtlander Nokton 50mm f/1.2 and 7artisans Photoelectric M35mm f/1.4) for Leica CL. Camera would error out at 35mm if out of focus. Willoughby's Camera was extremely helpful, doing an immediate swap out for another boxed lens the same day. Definitely can't wait for the physical store to open up again to try some bags out!

Even Ilford 120mm available as low as $14, so now you new film or checkup to prime the pump. The staff is interested in analog photography. They also have a mirrorless cameras and DSLR. They've all 120mm film types, viz. color negatives, slide/transparency, B&W Chromogenic/C-41, B&W Orthochromatic, B&W Infrared/near infrared, and creative effects!

  I sold my P 900 to these guys in exchange for a P950 for birding. The snap zoom is very helpful. The camera and it's stock accessories is just what I was hoping for. The right-hand grip area is very comfortable, non-slip and gives good control. Lens quality and range from close-up to zoom is excellent! I am enjoying the p950 very much and have no regrets getting it!

  Back-ordred the Sony PXW-Z150. It's able to stream live at low res using the Wi-Fi feature and record in HD/4K internally on SD card simultaneously. While you will not be able to adjust the backfocus on this lens it is parfocal. If you are set to manual focus when you zoom in and focus when you zoom out the image will remain focused. Could have saved with Amazon but trusted WCE with real Sony in original packaging and love the Financing card to save a couple of bucks. Been buying from these guys for 15 years, no need to change now.

  Abundant stock of Ikelite products, cameras and tons of other cool tech stuff. I was in the market for housings for underwater photography. This store is a proper shop for divers involved in imaging, still cameras & housings, arms, power & connections, lenses, lens ports and lens gears from Ikelite. I grabbed a 200DL Underwater Housing for Canon EOS 5D Mark III and power connections, it's a full-featured, durable and waterproof shell. I've used it for surfing and scuba. Thanks!

  Since I shoot film, I needed a case for arranging my packs and prevent contents from oscillating around inside my bag. I got a the Japan Camera Hunter case, it accommodates 5 rolls. But it's expensive for something so simple. The lid doesn't snap on. You'll need to secure it with tape or a rubber band.

  Willoughby's gave me the best deal when I shop around that area. Shop assistants were friendly and helpful but later a price drop on their website and I called them to deduct the amount on the lens I trade in and charged me in full for a new Tamron 100-400. The excess amount was refunded and debited into my account even I have left New York, a genuine and good business store. Recommended to visit this store if you're looking for camera gear. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

  I returned a large-format scanner to Willoughby's Cameras yesterday and they replaced it without any hassle at all, walked out of the store with a swap scanner and it works fine, I have in the past checked prices online and gone into the store to see what deal I can get understanding that they have overheads, Greg have always given me a good price without haggling, great service good stock,quality products This is why we need to support local retail stores before they disappear

  I have been buying Canon pro equipment at Willoughby's NYC for almost 15 years. This is an amazing camera, Canon EOS C200 is really great camera for run and gun documentary style. Using C200B with SmallHD Focus so missing out on touch focus screen but still works great! But I still needed batteries for the monitor, an SSD to record to, something to mount the monitor to the camera and an HDMI cable for my Shogun flame to work on the go.

  A handful of questions in and I felt like I was wasting the salesman's time. He reddened his face a few times as I asked more about the product, and he was showcasing a used demo camera. I think Willoughby's Camera needs a basic lesson in customer service and in treatment of clients whether they sell something or not. Later on, in the same day, I learned of a better deal via a competitor's website and asked the same salesman on the phone if he could give me a better deal. He said he couldn't make it happen. Lol.

  Awsome shop Greg is a great guy and love the YouTube vids, all of the staff know there stuff and give fair prices of trade ins.I have just left my Sony A6000 to get a new rear monitor and my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 also needs a new clean up.   After spending days looking for a Provia 100F roll I found that Willoughby's Cameras were selling them for $5 less than most other suppliers. I called up, was dealt with very professionally and arranged a visit as the shop is close to where I live. The shop was (understandably) busy but when I was served I didn't feel rushed at all and the staff took time to answer all of my questions. There was no hard sell, only genuinely great customer care. I will continue to look to purchase from here. I might also add that as I work in a customer service department myself, it is glaringly obvious that the bad reviews left here are by individuals who think that the internet and world should revolve around them and don't reflect the actual service they received from the store. Sorry for the sprawling review but it was well deserved by this great shop and it's staff.

  Great shop to visit .. Traveled from N. Dakota on the Train .. Being new to telescopes since my childhood.. Was advised to get the Meade Polaris 130mm f/5.0 and what a beautiful Telescope..just in my budget range to ..Nearly bought the excellent... Celestron NexStar 130 SLT ... Nice friendly atmosphere .. Lots of chat and cheerful Astronomy going on ..the staff are very knowledgeable.. Easy going ..give fine advise.. The shop has a excellent website and videos on YouTube to ..Defo go back again for more Kit now ..well worth the Train charges to get the right product ..Five Stars ..

  Very enjoyable! Incredibly helpful staff and not in the least pushy. I was made to feel like I should take my time and make the correct choice. I bought a Nikon Z 50 with 16-50mm and 50-250mm lenses and accessories kit. What an incredible piece of kit! If you here any negative about this bundle don’t believe it! I’ve been shooting for 36 years and won many photography accolades with mighty Nikon F (Nikon F3). I’ve owned and shot with most Nikon SLR cameras having a Nikon 28Ti and 35Ti before we became digitals! If you are looking for a no nonsense mirrorless kit with brilliant build quality don’t hesitate!

  One of the most helpful places IV been for a new lens or camera. Has a vast DSLR, mirrorless, and full-frame cameras on display will be back soon hopefully.
