    In Manhattan from Canada with friends, one of whom had forgotten their large format Lens Shutters for an important event.     Rode VideoMic Pro does work with the GH4 and the G7. But, there has been more issues and audio noise found than when used with other DSLR's. This has to do with the connection between the Videomic Pro and camera body, I had to get an external recorder along with the microphone.

    Wayfield & Sons: continues to impress a loyal consumer! I love it! I come from a Photographic background and my wife tried to get me to go with the mainstream camera retailers, but I strayed. This Camera shop is awesome. Packed with tons of digital & film cameras for the price you pay. Although the refurbished Nikon D90 camera is a bit heavier than I wanted, I still don't leave without it, ever! WAYFIELD AND SONS rocks because the transaction was easy and they were the first ones to get them in stock.     I needed a a shotgun mic that is very directional. Josephs and his team steered me in the right direction, left with a Sennheiser and it's suitable for wildlife / background natural sounds (birds, frogs, crickets, insect sounds, etc.) But sounds not directly in front of the mic will not be picked up very well.

    I have only had the camera for 2 weeks, but so far I am very pleased. It has more features than I will probably ever use. The controls are very easy to use and naturally fall right to hand.     Nail-biting experience. Sent camera off for a simple camera battery flap having had excellent quote of $50. Tested camera before sending off, elastic bands around battery flap. Packed it securely. Perfect. Left the pictures ON the camera memory card. Disappointed, puzzled, suspicious when email advising the a "lens error" fault had been found....only options were pay $270, pay $17 get it back, scrap it, no charge. remember, it was the battery flap only I wanted replacing BU now I have no option. Spoke on phone and you know what? They were reasonable, polite, apologetic even, empathetic...I authorized the repair. What I got back was NOT my camera but a NEW case and serial number though by "new" I mean "not the original" AND it did not work. The AF hunted and stuttered the stopped out of focus. Not unnaturally I was angry...so I phoned them and you know what? They were reasonable, polite, apologetic even, empathetic...again. I decided to resist the offer of returning the camera once again and did a little work on it of my own. I found out very quickly that the lens when extended looked seemed ever so slightly loose in an in and out way. Click! Hmm....checked it again...perfect. Phoned again where they were...well, you can guess...and between the techy who "did" the repair (remember, the battery flap?) we agreed that the camera had probably turned on in transit and could not get its lens out. Nonetheless, it is fine now and I cannot but say that this company handled the whole procedure very professionally and frankly, I trust them more now than I did when I sent of the camera for my (Total cost $182) battery flap (total cost zero as per original quote) repair. You must draw your own conclusions. This is an honest review.

    I was skeptical I emailed multiple camera repair specialists, including the manufacturers official repair center, to get some cost estimates for repairing my AF-S lens. I had done a lot of research into the defect so I knew what needed replacing and that it was a common fault. Most of the estimates I received were double what Wayfield and Sons quoted me, the rest wouldn’t even give me an estimate as they said they had to inspect the lens themselves first. I was skeptical at the low cost Wayfield and Sons told me the repair would be, but as an amateur photographer could not justify paying the extravagant fee the others were asking. I have genuinely been blown away with the efficiency and efficacy of service. I had my lens back in two business days in perfect working order. I am absolutely thrilled and would definitely recommend Wayfield & Sons!

    Phoned Wayfield & Sons - intended to purchase a Leica CL "Edition Paul Smith". They confirmed they had one in stock, with Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 (which is the lens I wanted), along with an accessory shoe cover. I drove to the store within a couple of hours. Upon arrival, I found my purchase ready and bagged. I added a memory card. All prices were as advertised. Both the camera and lens were reduced in price, incorporated with the purchase of the camera. This was nice. It meant the accessory was effectively free. The Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and took care to ensure I obtained what I needed. I couldn't fault the Staff, the store or the process. I got what I needed effortlessly and this, coming out of the back of Lockdown. I would recommend Wayfield wholeheartedly and would shop there myself, again. Thanks guys.

    Great workshop on RED video with Rachel Goodwin for new purists and the video-curious and a documentarian class with Jonathan Huckabee. Josephs has been especially super-helpful in steering me build the ultimate ultra-portable budget camera kit, taking his time to teach me how to make the most of my new equipment. A good friend pops in here often and I am so glad I found them. Highly recommended and the best place for good advice from their RED cameras staff and gear (also, check out their used department) at extremely fair prices.

    I bought a used Nikon D7500 which arrived on time and was in better than described condition - delighted. A small problem arose as the connecting clips between the camera lugs and strap were missing. Contacted Wayfield and explained the problem, after a couple of false starts the issue was resolved by their customer service team. Outstanding - very unlikely to go anywhere else due to the excellent support and customer service.

    Fast service. The guy in charge gave me a call after I ordered when I had questions about my purchase and explained everything I needed to know. Unfortunately had one of my items missing from an orders and the company immediately dispatched my item the next day once I contacted them.     Absolutely amazing place. Bought a Celestron Hummingbird spotting scope from them before christmas and it arrived in good time.
