I just left there a few hours ago. It was my first time going there. I was treated with respect and found their staff to be great. Only issue I had was they sold the Vixen Optics Polarie Star Tracker for $20.00 less than I bought it. That is not their fault. But hell it I wish I Knew about them sooner. They had a hard to find iOptron SkyTracker I wanted so I got that too. They are good people with a great selection.

Wayfield&Sons has an amazing selection of every single Polaroid film photography related thing you could possibly need. The prices are the best, they can order you just about anything you want, and they even price match! Don't forget about the employees, they are top notch, absolutely some of the best employees I've ever dealt with in my entire life. They are super helpful, and I definitely recommend going to Wayfield & Sons for your 120mm film needs.

So helpful! I went to Fenway Photo with a rough idea of what I needed for residential footage surveillance, and they showed me a few great possibilities, but not too many to confuse me. Took time explaining and helped me get the right surveillance technologies for my home security cameras and a set of sophisticated alarm network. Ended up going with a less expensive one, than what I thought I’d spend. Excellent inventory, of fly-on-the-wall cameras too.

Really great place, they have all film types you can possibly think of. Their instant/sheet fil selection is up to date everything from Polaroid to Fujifilm instant. Pricing is really good and the cheapest place I've seen so far that'll have items shipped to their building.

Jacob was very helpful and informative! First time I was waiting for the store to open she already greeted me and was ready to help. He even cleaned my camera lenses and when I chose what I wanted, he pulled a brand new model in the back-not like Adorama (where they would just pull a used copy, okay I know Adorama doesn't clean equipment but you get the point). Anyhow, awesome experience and will come back again if I need anything.

I love Wayfield. It was the first photography shop I bumped into when I moved to NYC ten years ago and has been my go-to shop since I've acquired my lenses accessories lately. Excellent, Friendly service and often open late enough to accommodate those of us working late. No need to shop anywhere else!

It should be called a specialty camera shop in NYC, but turns out as a high-priced but good-quality store. There are many Leica assortments, all in very good condition. It looks spicy, but it's okay to go around and look around. However, you may hesitate about the high price.

Despite being relocated on the way, Wayfield & Sons. in New York continues to win the hearts of classic camera fans as the leading store. Until Leica NYC was unveiled, Wayfield & Sons was a leading importer of Leica in the United States, and had a large stock with Hasselblad, so I was thrilled to visit it. Today, in addition to imported cameras, they have a lineup of used domestic cameras and lenses, stationery, model railroads, etc. that can be said to be an adult's hobby department store, and keep visitors from getting bored.

Wayfield &Sons is located near Clifton in New York, but in a very wonderful site, in a natural-lighting atmosphere, check there is a small sign outside the building, or not dare to walk into the mall, thinking that you're going to the big chain. Wayfield & Sons is not particularly large compared to the stores mentioned above. The store is also presented in a boutique style, and it sells high-end cameras, lenses, accessories, etc., but the range of cameras sold is vast and exhaustive, including German-made, European-brand digital, film monocular cameras, portable cameras, and even many antique cameras.

There are abundant types of mount adapters. Leica lenses and domestic manufacturer's lenses and cameras are second hand, also for film and digital use. Also, you can consign and sell unnecessary cameras and lenses.

I checked on the internet to buy a film camera I used to use. $500 for the workhorse Nikon FM2, 4 lenses and accessories. If you you love it, you can buy it here, thank you for helping someone. From record to CD and from film to digital, I think that time has passed as we lived through the upheaval of the digital revolution.

A bit stiff prices, but definitely has a lot of equipment. Limited amount of Canon FD and EF-mount lenses, but a larger section of vintage Nikon F-mount. Has some Hasselblad and other exotic cameras if I remember correctly. From what I understand, there's an alphabetic rating system on the equipment based on condition. A to F. Labels in English. Possibly wheelchair accessible, but didn't have any to check with. Overall a tidy and clean store with a lot of knowledge about what they're selling.

It's a fairly good place to find some old film lenses. Some are still on display with other good lenses while some are labeled as used. Used lenses can be purchased at really low prices, no return and no exchange. It breaks, your loss but if you ask politely, they're very willing to let you test them on your camera body. I suggest you ask the current condition. The one I purchased had some smog but $2,000 for a working second-hand lens is terrific and fun!

Professional and knowledgeable staff, considering my love for photography, I'd to come here. Advice was good enough to get by. Purchased OM-D M1 M II and Sigma 20mm F1.7 prime. Prices were good I thought, camera body came with 6 month warranty ( only in NYC, but still good for second hand goods). Looked to be in excellent condition. The staff recommend I try out my existing MFT lenses on the OM-D, which was good I thought. Shop was clean and well presented. Small, but compact with selection from every coveted brand as far as I could tell. Got the feeling the staff were photography connoisseurs, at least more so than the staff at the likes of B&H Photo or Amazon(but given how little English I speak, that's just my gut impression. Wayfield & Sons present better at least).

A comfortable compact camera shop, at the edges of New York. If you are prowling for used analogue cameras this is the place to go. The assortment is gigantic, it's disproportional to the size of the shop. The camera I bought there turned out to be a hidden gem, that is actually not that easy to get outside of the United States, and also had a really an irresistible prize. The customer service is friendly and honest. You really feel, that they know what they are talking about.

Refreshing experience at the shop. Although the store's opening & closing time-frame, they were conscious of our presence and doubts, and provided good recommendations and suggestions. Although slightly off budget and more expensive than you can get off b&h photo website, these cameras here are carefully treated like antiques by these professionals and they are 100% sure of their cameras and it's quality. Great staff and efficient service!

The merchandise is a mammoth of all things photography. There are 35mm film cameras, DSLR, large format, medium format, point n' shoot cameras and all types of lenses. There are cameras from renowned manufacturers in Europe, Japan and America. However, since the store only provides a place for one-off sale, examination of the goods should be done on your own responsibility. You can buy very cheaply if you can agree. Staff are scolded when taking pictures of the shop without permission. I was scolded, so I took the memo on the note. I was scolded again. But it is an attractive shop that I want to go again.

I have ordered a Paralenz Vaquita Dive Camera in this outlet following a substantial discount. Ultimately, this order was not available because I ordered at the same time as someone else and I was just a little later. After much contact, some miscommunication with customer service and even with the manager, I ordered the PARALENZ Dive Camera+ with a good discount and delivered quickly (within 24 hours). As a good friend I even got a cake. Despite the incident, Wayfield & Sons finally solved it nicely and that is why I recommend this store.

Nice clear webshop. I could quickly find the camera that I wanted. Wayfield & Sons knows how to distinguish itself in a crowded through the extremely good bundles of benefits. With others you often get a few dollars discount if you buy multiple items, with Wayfield it is quickly tens of dollars! Ordered Saturday and delivered on Monday. As it should. You will also be kept well informed of the status and you will receive a track and trace In the past having to exchange an item once (own mistake) and that went smoothly. I returned the item and within a few days I had the right item at home

Great place, and the cheapest drones I could find, even comparing to online prices! Couldn't recommend this place more. Its local, friendly staff who are willing to help. Only complaint I sadly have is the opening times. As they are only open a few days a week, makes it difficult to fit in a visit to the store around a busy schedule. Despite that, all in all, this is an amazing quadcopters & drones store for both film-makers and aerial photographers alike.

I wanted a Profoto Flash Head and also wanted to re-tool my studio so i was in need of patience as i asked, what must have seemed, very basic questions about monolights. However, these guys were so much more freindly and attentive than some of the 'chain" photography centres i have visted. The shop was a little claustrophobic, but that added to their relaxed character and overall I was really impressed with their germane advice. Will definitely be getting my new cameras, camcorders, and lenses serviced there.

I recently purchased a Barska 8x22 Blueline WP Golf Scope from Wayfield and Sons and can't praise the personal service I received from this company enough, from the lady that suggested monocular accessories to the manager who advised me on my purchase, he was exceptionally helpful, what knowledgeable fellow he really is, and finally not forgetting the Jacob who did me a great deal on my purchase, I cannot fault Wayfield and Sons and would not hesitate to do business with this company in the future. Finally a site where everything is well regulated. You can order something until very late and it will still be delivered the next day. The site is well laid out and the checkout is all seamless and quickly. The information shown is very extensive and you can select the items you find important on the left. This allows you to search in a very focused way and you avoid having to go through many pages to reach your product. If you have found something you can easily order it, pay on the nail and have it delivered. You can do anything without first having to create an account again, I find it so pleasant myself. You will immediately receive an email with what you have ordered and you will be kept well informed of when your order will be delivered. I have been coming to Wayfield & Sons for years and if they continue like this it will certainly remain that way for years. In my opinion a must-visit camera shop.

I left with having spent considerably more money than was initially intended for a Lensbaby 5.8mm f/3.5 Circular Fisheye Lens for Sony E. The seller takes a lot of time for you by asking what you want and what you want to do with it, explaining it and having it tested. On the basis of this received good advice (totally different from the previous chat contact). I certainly do not have the idea that she was trying to sell the most expensive, but it did fit the customer best. We will definitely come back here.

Absolutely phenomenal super store, I received my film within days of dropping it off, and was welcomed with open arms (and a very adorable dog) when I came to drop it off. The quality is amazing, especially considering it was a roll of disposable camera film from a very poorly-lit backdrop, and I could not be happier with the outcome. I just visited this shop for my two Nikon Lens and sensor cleaning as it resolution image processor was not working properly. The whole team is very friendly and get the things done within a few minutes. And the best part is they did it for free. They did not even ask if the lens were bought from them. Kudo !!! Before i went there i called another Nikon authorized store in Manhattan and the guy asked me if the lens were bought from them. when i said no, he told me they will charge $50 per lens for cleaning although on Nikon official website says it's free. The guy was even suggesting me to buy the Console ($189) if i have a lot of lens to update. I was prudent that i checked with Wayfield & Sons. Else i would be paying $100 for 5 min job. Thanks Wayfield & Sons. I would definitely be visiting you guys for my next equipment purchase.

Wayfield Camera is the only photography store I shop at in the whole world although I travel overseas a lot. John- the owner - is tremendously knowledgeable about everything to do with photography/videography equipment. A truly friendly and courteous expert, he always gives me advice that steers me into the right direction. As an upcoming professional, shopping at internet stores can be nail-biting, especially if you're getting your feet wet with photography. John and his staff makes buying a camera, lens, film, etc. fun and exciting. He's also always willing to render advice free of charge, so don't hesitate to hurl questions in his way. Amazing store, fantastic owner, 10/10 would always recommend. If you're lucky, maybe you'll end up on his favorite buyers book like ME.

After purchasing a Catadioptric (Celestron NexStar Cassegrain GoTo Telescope) with a $300 cash back offer, Celestron lost my claim and never wired me my $300. When i spoke with Jacob from Wayfield & Son Cameras, He made a special effort to retrieve my cash back and was successful, even though the offer had ended. I am so grateful to Jacob for putting out all stops to help me out. I will always recommend the company as well as use them for my purchases.

Outstanding photo\cinematography shop with a quality team at the driver's seat. I've bought tons of goodies here over the last few years - cameras, aerial imaging, 35mm film cameras, and lighting strobes. Also returned a few items as either not to satisfaction or in one case faulty. Whilst range in store is limited compared to online offerings, it's more than made up for by a willingness to price match online outfits, and the assurance of warranty—after-sales support- essential given the erratic nature of high tech. The staffs' product knowledge is also erudite- particularly authoritative in a sector with incessant model updates, and manufacturers pursuing esoteric fast-changing systems. .

I bought two spotting scopes and some other optics paraphernalia from here.... I am a novice when it comes to hunting with fieldsopes, But bought two very useful scopes. Celestron Regal M2 100ED and a Vortex Viper HD 15-45x65 .... I live in Michigan so both amazing.. Both were sparkling mint and have to say the prices were very good, hence buying 2 !!!! The back up, after sales service..... Amazing ........ I shot down antlers and when I returned to the woods them found that they were a bit tricky to operate every where, and because it wasn't there before just panicked and thought the worse... Sent a picture Wayfield & Sons and hey fuss-worry nothing to do with the eyepieces just my exterior glass was vaporized...All this dealt with in no time by mail.. All sorted with big thanks.... Such polite and very helpful people.....So great to be able to go to a shop to buy here instead of on the net.......

I visited recently with my wife to get some camera equipment bracing up for solar eclipses when the moon blocks Mars. Being a keen physicist and my wife a keen cosmologist at NYU Arts & Science, we needed to make sure we had everything we needed was at hand as soon as possible. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and they even put us a deal together because we had accumulated quite a collection of items. I recommend this store over large camera chains like B&H Photo, they put their customers first and they will give you everything for a reasonable price.

The veritable Aladdin's Cave for photography. Most significantly when I’d recently taken the hit financially and had to go a notch higher to mirrorless DSLR cameras. Had lenses to sell and needed good advice about multiple flash equipment. All staff are excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. Received decent prices for my used equipment and very happy with my purchases / part-exchanges. Service like this isn’t available on the internet. Worth paying that little more for bespoke advice!

One of few remaining specialty photo shops but very well stocked - lots of kit for beginners to pros and enthusiasts looking for a minimalist recerational camera etc. They also carry bags, tripods, filters, lighting, studio lighting and more - perhaps not the cheapest vs. online retailers but still great to have them there. I visited to have some film extracted and the set up worked very well - final product quality was premium-grade- happy to recommend.

It is a nice spot to upgrade your camera, but the staff proved their lack of knowledge when it comes to lenses and camera. They dont have enough product to display especially for Nikon. The price is a bit pricier than next door neighbors. I would recommend you to buy online. Unless you want to be sure that you know where exactly you go when you have issue with your purchase. The staff is friendly. The store is small though.

Great service as per first-class customer service level. Although Jacob has to get a mention, his knowledge on medium-format cameras was spot on and gave me a new pair of eyes to new horizons in photography, thanks again.

I recently purchased a point and shoot, superzoom bridge-Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV from Jacob at Wayfield &Sons. The camera was to be exported all the way to Northern Canada. The service and customer support provided was exquisite and the taxation duty reclaim paperwork handled efficiently. It was a pleasure to deal with Wayfield & Sons again - I purchased my first camera from the store several years ago. They really went the extra mile to take care of me and their prices are extremely competitive to attempt a price-matching adventure...

I was very cheerfully surprised running into this new and used camera shop in the middle of NYC. Staff were really friendly, there is a surprisingly large range given the size of the shop and I mopped up a load of Kodak film for quite a bit less than I'm used to paying on B&H Photo shop. They have all optics, lenses, cameras, tripods, accessories and lots of film for minimalsist.

I was in the market for a Sky-Watcher Evostar Refractor Guidescope for my husband's X-Mas gift and it was either backordered or out of stock untill I contacted Wayfield and Sons. I ordered the refractor from Wayfield & Sons. Even though the sky-watcher I ordered were again out of stock the service was completely different, unlike the other major online webshops I was emailed by the shop apologizing for this and offering a reduction should I choose another type of telescope with them. I phoned and spoke to a very helpful man called Nebojah who sorted out my new order for me then and there. I received my Celestron AstroMaster telescope within 24 hours and so can't fault the service and customer care.

I was at their NY store for a brand new Pentax camera bundle all the way from Long Island and I'm happy I covered the journey. Not only the sale price was incredible (most competitive price in the city and online at the time of purchase) but the service was excellent! We had a great chat about Pentax camera systems, lenses, photography, etc. We also shared our experience on other brands like Leica and Olympus. The course of dealings was slick-smooth and they spent their time to show me everything in the store and provided useful tips for my new gear. Great job Jacob and the Manager (sorry, I didn't get the older gentleman's name)! Now I know where I should upgrade my equipment;-)

Average service (within a couple hours) to get my negatives synthesized and scanned. Also, best price in NYC to do so. But that being said, you get what you pay for. The scans three times now have come out extremely granular and blurry (went to another shop to re-scan and saw the difference). Just a heads up. Service is very proactive however.

I shop here for my film photography needs all the time! Neboja is a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable expert across many strands of photography. I bought up to six 35mm cameras here many years ago. Additionally, Jacob is super helpful and is also very knowledgeable about the new innovations in film coming out. He serviced my Wista Field-45dx (large-format camera) and I would trust no one more than him to make sure my gear is in working order. Thanks for everything!

Exceptional photography retailer. All staff and Manager were professional and extremely accommodating. My 10 year old daughter experienced slight anxiety and Jacob was extremely patient and managed to decease her fear enabling her to test kid's minolta cameras in a tranquil, serene ambiance. My son and I also had an outstanding experience with Jacob, his patience, upbeat spirit and knowledge also enabled us to test a variety of compatible lenses. Neboja was also extremely knowledgeable with the gear that was optionally required. The sales was also very accommodating with the availability for quick check out. As a result, many more individuals deserve this kind of recognition but this review wouldn’t terminate if that was to transpire. To sum up, I strongly recommend photographers/kid hobbyist to resort to Wayfield. Outstanding place and staff!!!!!

At Wayfield & Sons, they have all hands on deck! Once I turned the door, I was quickly given a hand and welcomed with a smile. They pack a lot of optics items: cameras, scopes, binoculars, refrectors, telescopes, cassegrains, darkroom equipment, Canon printers, tripods, mounts, and lenses. In fact, in the wake of Amazon & B and H Photo, Wayfield & Sons emerged as the sole, mainstay shop as a professional-grade source. They process and print color and black and white film, too.
