  Very good range of supplies for digital cameras, lenses, drones& aerial photography, tripods support, bags, cases, flashes &on-camera lighting. Prices are pretty much what you'd expect from a shop, not over priced, I'm sure Amazon is a little cheaper but in person you can see everything on offer, get a proper idea of shooting techniques, find out about new products etc. Worth a visit if you're looking for good quality photography supplies

  Massive selection of underwater photography equipment from big name suppliers to own brand; still cameras &housings, ROV systems, lens ports & gears, arms & accessories, lights & strobes, undersea scooters, monitors and more. I've found the staff knowledgeable and helpful. There's marine photography books, events and a loyalty card too. If you don't need to buy immediately then there'll probably be a 20% off sale at some stage of your on the market checklist.

  Lovely helpful staff and a wide range of supplies. If you're unsure what to buy they know their stuff and will help out. Well kept, clean shop with good prices. Try buy from the shop instead of online, it'll keep them weathering the Amazon storms!

  Great experience in this shop, I'm starting out making my own Color Correction Filters & Material and was not sure what tools to use Litepanels CTO / Diffusion Gel ? The staff are brilliant, they helped me select what I needed and even showed me cheaper options couldn't be more happier and will definitely return. Try this place 1st for any creativity needs you won't be disappointed.

  Absolutely refreshing experience and was handled with extreme professionalism. Kids were left feeling welcome and were allowed try beautiful cameras and were also given pieces of kids (to enliven them up lol). Even when i messed up by allowing them to process a 35mm film didn`t see until last minute, when it was a 120mm i was after, i wasnt left feeling i had done them wrong. Even though there are camera shops nearer my home, i will be using this store for anything photography/film related.

  Always great service and decent prices. Staff will spend literally hours to ensure you end up with something that will suit your requirements and are always able to offer quality advice. Always a good stock of large, medium &other formats, what is on show in store is a tiny amount of the total volume of their stock. Good prices on digital cameras as well.

  What a good photography shop! After having an unsatisfactory experience with another local camera shop, I visited Wayfield & Sons, talk about restoring your faith! Wayfields were attentive and more than fair, and actually employ enough staff on Saturdays to help their patrons. They gave me their time and made sure I knew that they appreciated my custom. I recommend this shop and the excellent staff. Best wishes.

  Called in for photography bags and cases as I was passing by this shop in Manhattan. This for me has to be the top shop in Manhattan for all your photography storage, protective & portability needs. Everything to carry photo equipment tripod cases, gear protection, DSLR & Mirrorless fitted cases, houlsters belts, tunks, hard cases, Very well stocked, top brands and makes, all you could ever need under one roof, very helpful staff, prices are very reasonable, and there's a dog to stroke. What more do you need. Happy days.

  As the store was over three hours away I spoke with Rose and Josephs first via email to discuss my requirements. A couple days after this I took a trip to the store and found it to have a large amount of stock on offer with plenty of staff at hand to help. Jacob dealt with me from start to finish and he was very knowledgeable, informative and a great help overall. I spent in excess two hours on site with Jacob before making purchases and at no point did I feel rushed. A great place, friendly staff and I would defiantly recommend Wayfield & Sons to anyone. Hope to visit again soon.

  Friendly and fast service. Had a lot of patience for making a passport photo of a baby who could not yet raise her head. Even the dad's fingers were shot away, so he was top-brass photographer for ID.

  Ordered a for a DJI Mavic 2 Pro with Smart Controller through Wayfield Sons. It arrived a couple of days later. Followed the instructions, but couldn't get it to work. Called the shop expecting to have to return the item as faulty. Left my details and was called back immediately by Joseph, the proprietor, who talked me through some logical steps to detect whether it was faulty or whether it was hidden error, to avoid having to return a perfectly good item. Turned out it was user error... Not many places would have the wherewithal to do this. Wayfield Sons' customer service was excellent and friendly - would definitely use them again. Thanks, guys...

  I've been going to Wayfield and Sons for over 20 years now, it's a great shop for medium-format Hasselblads and Leica. They have a massive range of Fujifilm, mirrorless and specialist Macro photography equipment as well as point n shots and underwater scooters and cameras. A few of the staff have been there since I started going there, namely Rose, Joseph and Jacob. There's not much they don't know about photography and are always at hand for advice on time,. Methods and chemistry to use. This shop is brilliant

  A phenomenal experience every visit! The people are outstanding at Wayfield & Sons. The inventory merchandise are top notch as well, but it's the people who make this place so outstanding. Joseph and Rose at the vast camera range are great. It was Jacob who helped me figure out a portable Safari camera, as I was renting several lenses at the time. Jacob sold me on a great Sony Rx100 III – VA with a crisp sharpness and fine features. Jacob is now my go to man, after he helped update Firmware Update FW 2.00 for Sony RX100 III cameras to improve operability harvesting tons of goodies from the zoom. He has today taken the time to disassemble my camera and make sure that it was spotless clean and did it properly. These people care very much that you have a good experience. You cannot go wrong with Wayfield &sons. Their excellence in all things travel cameras cannot be matched. I visit regularly!

  I really like the Marine Photography selection. They have a private studio area that you can rent at a very reasonable price. Customer Serv has greatly taken giant strides since I first visited a year ago. They photography store has a very large selection of mirrorless camera systems, OM-D &PEN Cameras, SLR Lenses, underwater tools and accessories, at full manufacturers retail price. They also sell other camer accessories, tough & compact camera ancillaries, cases and straps.

  What a brilliant store... I'm a newbie to traditional imaging techniques and I needed to feel or tinker with a modern film camera or a vintage model... Jacob was effective to prove why film-based photography still around, it can pick up details digital cameras may miss without the proper equipment, training, and lighting setup! I went to the store and chatted to Jacob and his good lady, thanks for the coffee, explained the issues and worries I had with the traditional substrates. Jacob was outstanding, he spent the good part of an hour chatting and working on my required tools & supplies etc. He explained every step and had me peering through the 35mm film camera watching how to align it properly. Very well done. All for $200.. wow. I can't recommend the service and welcome I received highly enough. Thanks guys.

  Recently bought a film camera from Wayfield & Sons. When tested at home I found it not what I wanted. I should have waited a bit longer to enable me to purchase the more pricier model I really wanted. All gratitude to the thorough and attentive to detail staff at Wayfields. I had no problems to return the purchase and was refunded without any issues. Thanks to Joseph at Wayfield, I will see them again in the near future.

  I needed advice about buying a suitable red digital cine camera for high performance raw video recording workflow so contacted this company by email. They could not have been more helpful, patiently answering all my questions. After my purchase I realized I needed a Canon CN-E 18-80mm, shotgun microphone and a Manfrotto X-Pro tripod.so they shipped my accessories in the post for free.

I have just gone back into Breathtaking CityScape Photography, I was sold a wide-angle/telephoto that suited me, told not to spend too much straight away on balls and whistles and sold only the things that I needed.   If you need photos at the city center of New York, this is the place. I ended up with a disapproved passport photo of another case. Nice employee, great photos. Set for a passport costs $11.50.

  I have found the staff at Wayfield to be very helpful and more than happy to spend time on the phone giving advice, I was searching for a compact high-resolution aerial photography and videography solution for everything from entertainment productions to industrial applications. Rose, the energetic lady knows her commercial drones down to a fine art. Whenever I have purchased accessories I have been advised what is best for my aerial imaging, not what is the most pricey, a very welcome change from the usual inordinate pressure commercial techniques! I would recommend any engineer seeking to view hard-to-reach locations without the need for climbing or using scaffolding. Site surveillance, work progress monitoring, and public safety!

  We both wanted nikon coolpix b500 for a safari adventure. We each had some idea of budget. The service was flawless. The proprietors are knowledgeable and illustrated tersely and substantially the relationships between features, quality and price. They were very clear that the a camera needed to fit the person regarding ergonomics, budget, hobby etc. We tried a number of brands/ models before settling on the right ones. We each bought a beginner camera within our budgets. There was a genuine sense in ensuring that we each had a camera that suited us best. Would highly recommend a visit to this family-run company.

  We purchased a pair of Pentax 8x43 for our daughter for Christmas after some advice from this shop. We found the binoculars was too much for our daughter and arranged to return it and exchange it for one with an eye for the discerning nature enthusiast. WAYFIELD & SONS were perfect in their input and insights on her new binoculars. I would highly recommend them and their subject-matter knowledge is second to none.   Lately purchased the Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 IV, which arrived far sooner than I expected. Excellent service, excellent piece of kit, will be using Wayfield &Sons in future for any further requirements. Can't recommend highly enough, and I am well satisfied, thanks to all concerned.

  Highly recommend this shop. A major source for tripods with heads, mini tripods, tripod heads, quick release systems, monpods etc., they have always been very helpful taking their time to give you good advice. They have a great selection of supports, stands and mounts if you can make it to there place. I have just bought a Manfrotto Befree advanced tripod off them for photography and they were really helpful with options for different budgets and quality.

  I Received my micro-indoor racing drones in peak performance and earlier than expected. I was looking at buying just one drone but I was looking at two that I liked the look off. Having checked on at least a number of sites before finding wayfield n sons, after checking their prices I was pleasantly surprised to find that for just a little extra outlay I could purchase both of the racing drones that I liked. Many thanks wayfield and son great service and pricing structures.

  Placed a large order, PTZ Camera and accessories - Wayfield & Sons called to discuss - I'd ordered one wrong item and I also made two changes on their advice so the whole package fitted together and I wouldnt be dissapointed with any one particular piece.   Came here to buy a pair of bins with my daughter for bird-watching... Staff very helpful and a great range of digital binoculars for a range of prices. Ample parking on road outside.

  Incredibly blown away by the level of service provided by the folks at Wayfield and Sons. We visited to evaluate a Panasonic Lumix DMC-G7 and the staff were intelligent at answering our questions and kept us informed every step of the way regarding shipment once we made the decision to purchase. I'll add they also did a excellent job of cleaning the lenses while we chatted over the details.

  Brilliant. I'm a total newbie but the staff explained which camera concept would be best for me and were extremely friendly and helpful especially as I arrived not long before they were supposed to shut. Only used it twice but already loving it.

  Superb staff at Wayfield & Sons Photo Centre. I’ve been to the store once, and have had one online order through their web shop, and both times I’ve been treated very well. As I am new to D-SLR camera systems, the people at Wayfield we’re very much willing to help me get started. Thank you guys! Looking forward to doing more business with you in the future!

  Purchased a telescope scope for stellar mapping. Wayfield & Sons had what I wanted at a good price. The people here are lovely, attentive, knowledgeable and not at all pushy - really a pleasure to deal with. Wholeheartedly recommended. A business well worth supporting.

  We went there to develop a handful rolls of film. It gobbled up $29/roll (120mm and 35mm) and took around 40 minutes. Scanning would have taken 5 days but we didn’t have this much time. Sadly, the film handling is not very professional. We got the film back in a cheap paper bag and evidently the film was very tarnished after taking it out. I recommend this lab if you practice lomography where delicate film storage is not necessarily required.

  Hands down the easiest buying experience online or in store. If they don't have it in stock (which rarely happens) or displayed online, no worries they will get it for you. Also prices are as competitive as any other online photo retailer out there. Plus the new store is a refreshing experience in itself! I believe in writing good reviews for home-grown American companies and that's why they get 5 stars.

  Second time ordering from Wayfield & Sons. I ordered TTArtisan 50mm f/0.95 normal-length lens for Leica M-mount rangefinder cameras.. They had it for a screaming good deal several hundred less than anywhere else. Upon finishing my online order I immediately received an email from their head sales rep Jacob. My email program miss filed the email so I did not see it. He sent me an email a day for a few days and I then happened to notice it. I immediately called Jacob and he was super helpful. He took me thru the steps I needed to do to get the lense my local NY Leica dealer. Upon receiver that dealers info he again sent me an email letting me know and keeping me undated. He then must have immediately dispatched it a day earlier I got a shipping notice again from Wayfields letting me know they were shipping it to my dealer. When I purchased this the country was still shut down so this all really happened in just a couple days as that part of the Covid-19 lockdown. I could not be more pleased with Wayfield and Jacob expediting of my order. This being a rangerfinder lenses there was lots of potential for serious confusion. There was none because Wayfield stayed on top of everything and kept me informed. Now I just have to keep shooting with subjects including portraiture, street, landscape, and reportage.. I will absolutely do business with them again. Excellent experience!!! Cheers,

  I went to Wayfield & Sons yesterday. Staff was not helpful at all. I they didn't have anything I asked for in stock, and I hear the classic "we can get it" about 5 times. I won't be going back. Too many know it all's here for me.

  5 star Wayfield &Sons store. Top of the streets, in every way. Top-class gear, excellent professionals, good prices. Check them out and their website. If you can dream it, they have it. If they don't, they'll get it for you. Kinda like Starbucks, special orders don't upset them.

  In my experience in New York, you can't find better on a city business that isn't a big box-styled store. I have always been treated well when dealing with the staff, and while not all prices are always the lowest in the area, they are within reason. If you look around in the store or wait for sales, you will find some very good bargains. Just depends on what you are wanting at a particular time, and if you are willing to wait for the discounts. They also have a nice selection of lenses.

  staff is friendly and somewhat knowledgeable depending on who you are speaking with(staff members will get you discrepant answers)?? good selection of SLR lenses but that's about it, prices are astronomically inflated, the rental pricing on that store is obviously high..... but nice place to look around!!

  This is a magnificent shop (honest- best looking shop I think I've ever seen) with a decent selection of mirrorless, DSLR, full-frame gear and more. I want to thank the staff for their help with an older Canon 20d I had to bring in yesterday. The camera was having some issues and the staff that helped me could not have made the process easier. No questions asked, didn't try to tell me that I was wrong or that it was my fault, etc. Clearly, they just wanted me to be happy, which is all I could ask for from any customer service. Gave me a brand new scope from off the shelf, even let me look through as many as I wanted until I found one that I liked best. Wayfield's warranty is absolutely ironclad (although it doesn't look like most people ever need to use it, based on reviews all over the internet). Even gave me a lens cap for my new rangefinder lense! The only thing that affected the process down was that I looked around the shop and bought a few things, due to the awesome selection and prices. :) Otherwise, I would have been in and out in 10 minutes or less. Would highly recommend! Very happy customer! Thanks, Wayfield & Sons!

  Great selection of amazing quality items, especially point shoot cameras, at bargain steal prices. I have been happy with every purchase I have made. Aftercare Service: I had a couple of minor issues with an order I had placed, all due to my own lack of scrutiny in the matter, but Wayfield & Sons customer service has been great to me for this. My problem was understood, the associate was polite, a solution was agreed on, and it was incredibly easy on my part.

  A good place for your mobile & photo accessories, memory cards, and though limited, large-format equipment. Sir Jacob and the other members or the staff are all VERY knowledgeable, and do their best to answer any and all questions about the photography and other items that you may have. They also have A wide variety of DSLRs to chose from. I VERY HIGHLY recommend dealing with them!
