  This is by far the best photo & optic shop in the United States. The employee is always friendly & warm. The owner & staff have been there for years & as a local bred family-run company, it's always cool to support an independent store. I was in recently to seek advice regarding EM-1 compact, professional Micro Four Thirds cameras & the guys were very knowledgeable, courteous & were more than happy to give me their time. Most importantly, never any pressure to buy. Keep up the great service!

  Over the years I have bought agile, feature-rich Canon units from this little gem of a shop. The advice Rose gave me led me to a very compact and lightweight, with a well-balanced and ergonomic feel. Prices are fair and very favorable as is their customer support and enthusiasm.

  I've been using WayfieldandSons at Greenwich street in New York for nearly 10 years now and they have never let me down! From personal printing & gifts to the urgency of event management and film development- Jacob and his whole team are amazing. Today again they were lifesavers - Jacob was precise with the prints & scans he did for me, they guide my order of multiple, time delicate items. Committed in printing so wonderful in customer care. I was able to take care of an entire family event for this weekend in 1 trip! The nicest thing is they always treat you like family and really do their very best. Wayfieldandsons always has the best & most up to date photography merchandise/technology and competitive prices. You guys are my go to shop for everything I need as a busy event manager. Thank you Jacob, you guys are the BEST!!!!

  Amazing service. Dropped my OM-D E-M1 Mark III and disjointed the sensor. Another camera shop in New York told me that it would be $400 just for a quote for a repair and told it would be up to 4 weeks. Took it to Wayfieldandsons who were able to repair it in under 30 minutes and didn't charge to reposition the sensor. Camera working as clockwork. Highly recommended.

  Wayfield & Sons Cameras is a premium store for all of your photography & optics needs. If I could I would give them 10 out of 10 stars.   I have been purchasing underwater cameras, housings and accessories from these guys for a few years now and I only have good things to say about the service, prices and selections! Just recently I ordered some lens ports and unfortunately an incorrect brand was sent, which is an extremely easy mistake to make as there is only one word and at most an inch length difference between the two. Service guys were on it right away and did everything to make it correct, so hats off to them for the quick and painless exchange!

  Wasn't sure how buying heavy duty tethered cleaning drones that wash the windows of high altitude skyscrapers after we lost to crew but since these guys had what I wanted in stock at a fair price I gave them a shot, fast shipping and everything arrived as described. Great price on Quad copters as well, will order from them again.

  I have only made one purchase so far but I plan on making many more. They have an awesome selection of scopes and a wide variety of field accessories options. You can actually purchase general field equipment multi-tools, accessories and Misc.field accessories. if you have the money to do so. Now that's a bulk order. Their customer service is awesome too. Had an issue with a credit card and I called them, they were able to look up the order instantly and tell me why it was declined(it was my own fault) which allowed me to correct the issue. My order was placed late that night but I got a shipping label the very next morning. I'm in Tennessee so it's going to take a week no matter what. It's crazy good though because everywhere else is backed up because of the COVID-19 pandemic but not these guys. Going to order some slings, swivels & stock covers for firearms ASAP from these guys. Thank you Wayfield & Sons. Just another reason to shop from Tennessee to Manhattan virtually in one day.

  Service enthusiastic, helped me as a novice to buy a camera with a detailed and patient guide. Although the credit card will cost 2% more, the cash back is greater than 2%, it can be considered.   The staff is very nice and passionate about what they do. The store is nicely decked out and the selection of film cameras range from small portable cameras to huge medium format Hasselblad.   In order to buy a lens filter, I had to check out the internet for raw customer reviews, found that Wayfield & Sons is a lot of recommended camera shop in Manhattan, after checking their webshop price, decided to come to the store for inquiry, I did not expect the boss to be super funny, the price is also very economical, he will automatically compare with the Internet prevailing price, it is not the same as the Internet price, but for the store warranty, the focus is that the price is quite easy, his skin is as thin as I can easily kill the price, buy cheaper than the Internet Price, super recommended good store, head to Wayfield if you want to buy a good camera!!!!!   A friend suggested I try Wayfield & Sons a few years ago when getting ready for a epic journey across the Amazon. Turns out it was one of the better "aerial photography tips" I have ever received. It could be classified as a "Secret Spot" but every time I stop in the place is constantly busy with new and repeat customers. Yes I could order some of the same gear on-line from one of the mega retailers but what is impossible to get from a super store is the personal attention you receive from Jacob and Joseph. Always there to help and give advice or just talk photography in general. I have used Wayfield & Sons for years now and have never been disappointed. I would much rather spend my money at a local family owned business any day, but to have one where you get so much more BANG for your BUCK is simply awesome. In fact... last week they talked me out of a more expensive pro-level Commercial Drone and explained why the model one level down was a better fit for the type of imaging I was going to be doing. Thanks Wayfield & Sons!!!

  My favorite of all photography shops I've ever been to because of the great service and quality products they have. Jacob is an awesome guy and I love spending my money with people like him!! Joseph Miner custom builds refurbished camera bodies in that shop and they are the far best I've used. There is always a good group of boys hanging out in that shop telling photography' stories! Takes me back to the good analogue photography days......

  Went in with my folks who are birders. I'm local and even though I don't snap birds I heard this was the place to go for optical equipment. I believe Jacob helped us. We're all 1st timers and he could've sold us anything in the store but directed us to inexpensive pair of binoculars and gave us advice about when and where to try our luck. Very positive experience and friendly staff.

  Extremely helpful & friendly. Went in looking for a pack of 120mm film I can’t find anywhere, left with a brand new Ilford FP4 Plus Black & White Negative Film . Epic roll for the price & the owner allowed me to test it's fine grain, high acutance and sharpness.... absolutely blown away!   Great selection. Not as "Victorian" as it seems. Operation ok. Advice good if it is clear that you are not a play child without Wayfield & Sons. On my first visit, I had some start-up problems in this regard. I have my FUJIFILM GFX 50S repaired here. It was quick, good and cheap. Gladly again!

  Were in the shop today, just to look for a Ram Mount GPS Base. Was served by the junior and an employee. Both super nice, it was really fun to talk and soak up the expertise of the junior. Super-quality, in the end the "just have a look" turned into a new piece of Marine technology including a complete overhaul. Looking forward to picking up, not only because of the new technologies, but also because of the nice atmosphere there!

  I can’t stay away from this place. The service is excellent with very knowledgeable and friendly sales people. Shoppers may not realize that the selection in the store is just a representation of the products they have to offer. You can purchase items in the store that they have in their extensive online shop. I’m a freak for their action cameras.

  I bought a pair of leatherette Leica 10x25 and it was a spot on the sensor since day one. Leica was not so accommodating as to get me a substitute, but coworker Mr. Jacob quickly provided one for me as I work with the binoculars.   I'm a complete beginner in terms of digital cameras, and somehow completely without a plan on potential gear. So I'm in there and wanted to do something about system cameras. Actually, I wasn't going to buy a DSLR so quickly, I just wanted advice and clarify what is ON stock. And what can I say, the insights were really great. They helped me really well and a few days later I had already bought the camera I wanted with the essential accessories. I have the camera now just over 4 months in hindsight, I am more than satisfied with it. Top advice.

  Great advice - the associate had left a lot of time with me and let me try different cameras / lenses. For me it is clear that I will buy there as well. A comparison with Amazon: The price at Wayfield&Sons was even cheaper! Otherwise, no better destination go-to for photo supplies, both digital and analog!

  The sellers are just phenomenal, very convivial and they have a great deal of expertise. In addition, I have never had to pay the prices that the goods were originally supposed to cost. There was always a substantial or insignificant discount in it, and that without having to ask for it myself. It was always offered directly by the sellers. The offer is unlimited and with special requests, the sellers go to great lengths to meet them and resolve problems. So shopping is delightful. All hands down best camera shop.

  Super-optics store and extremely knowledgeable staff. Take a lot of time and you feel well advised. I am overjoyed with my new Leica 8x32 and my accessories 😍👌 Especially with the binocular ranges there are extremely good and extraordinary models that are not available on Amazon. Generally not a bit more expensive than on the internet but you'll harvest very germane advice and new!

  One of the last really professional sources of authentic photography goodies in New York, which despite all Amazon B&H competition can always make a steal deal, while still advising the guest in greater detail (if the store is not overflowing) Here I have bought my highly coveted Leica CL Mirrorless.   A gem between many photo shops in Midtown Manhattan. This place is well-equipped about everything to do with Still-Life photography. They offer camera genre-precise workshops, sales staff gives you brand accurate information depending on their bespoke prowess, the shop has Light Reflectors, Speedlights, Strobes, Softboxes as the light pool modifier and Manfrotto tripods.. If you are looking to buy a camera but not sure yet what to get for your individual needs. Here is where your questions will be answered, your curiosity for demonstration is met and you’ll find yourself leaving the store with a feeling of having made a very good choice. On top chances are good that you’ll find yourself as Still-life photography is a gear-hungry niche, more advise, another workshop or to one of their many photography fairs throughout the year. Check it out :-)
