  I was like a kid in a candy store with a huge grin on my face with both the Samyang 35mm T1.5 VDSLRII Cine Lens. Initially, he had me at 135mm T22 but he swayed me in a different direction which now 2 months later I greatly appreciate. Extremely knowledgeable guy. Thanks, Josephs and keep on excelling!

  Love this B+W XS-Pro MRC-Nano filter. The B W Nano filters are the best.Aside from the reduction of unwanted blue casts, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter. Crystal clear, no effect on image quality, and pleasing flair control. Only negative is the small filter threads may have issues with some lenses or other filters if you stack.

  This place has the best customer service I've experienced literally anywhere, let alone at a camera store. Bought a Leica ELPRO-S 180mm Converter Lens to reduce focus range, works like a Bald eagle's eye. The staff is friendly and incredibly helpful, especially to an amateur like me. It's impossible to overstate how good this place is. If you need any camera stuff or help in Manhattan, WAYFIELD & SONS is the absolute best.

  Josephs works at WAYFIELD & SONS and I have been going to see him for for camera and accessory purchases for about 30 years. He always makes his customers feel really appreciated and offers the very best in aftersales care. I live in NJ and it is worth the drive to Manhattan to see Josephs. He also told me that I can just call if I'm not able to make the drive and he can arrange shipping for me. It's worth it to go to WAYFIELD & SONS to see Josephs. He's excellent!

  Spent $1,000+ for this Lumix S 24-105mm F/4, I have to say I'm disappointed in BOTH manual and auto focusing. It's tricky to operate from manual to auto, it's designed for stills.

  This place is absolutely a landmark! They have literally anything photography related, and if it's currently not in stock - store will still get it for you. I've found some hard-to-find lenses, cameras and accessories that I would never expect to find there. Customer service is a an industry gold standard- staffer at the final checkout will ensure that you are 100% happy with your new purchases, and you clearly know how to use it. And the most likely that person will end up being your budding friend eventually. Every trip to this store is and adventure, and unique experience.

  This store has the best selection in the city. They have just about every rangefinder lenses that is made. I was amazed to see the Leica Noctilux-M 50mm f/1.2 lens. The service and knowledge of the staff is A+. You have to make the trip.

  One of those Gem places where the staff seem very well-versed what they sell, and have a in-depth knowledge of it. They have a huge selection of tripods, monopods, and every brand of camera. They stock both digital compact and DSLR cameras, and have lots of lens options for mirrorless SLR.

  Love my new Sony a6000 camera! My mother is a Wayfield & Sons fan and helped me pick out my camera. I didnt want a big camera and wanted a nice starter camera. Its an awesome size camera, not to big and not too small,. Everyone who has looked at it thought it was such a perfect size! I have so many photos to take! What a fun camera!

  I love this Mitakon Zhongyi Speedmaster 50mm f/0.95 Lens, must-buy! Perfect for color and sharpness. Compact size, easy to focus. Much better than I expect. I used several Summilux lenses in the past. This one is the formidable piece of glass. I will stick it for the rest of my life. Thanks WAYFIELD & SONS👌💯

  Have really been enjoying the D850 as I use it primarily for pet photography! The kit is perfect as a starter camera for someone looking to learn.   Search the place online, I found it a very serious place, that's why I went despite the distance where I am staying. They took excellent care of me, it was what I needed, sincere and disinterested advice. That is why I bought things that I did not plan, I went for a tripod head and I also took a lens and a tripod!   Went in to ask about an issue with my metabones speedbooster I got from another retailer. The man who helped me allowed me to borrow a lens in store to check out the issue. Beyond kind and helpful.   Just bought Oben's QRA-R2 Quick Release Assembly and it's not compatible with the The Manfrotto 200PL Quick Release Plate with 1/4 -20 Screw and 3/8 Bushing Adapter, they appear similar but are of different designs and dimensions. I had difficulties as it could sink into sand/soft soil/muck.

  Salesperson was very polite and demonstrated how to use the camera, went through all the features and gave me some tips. Staff were honest and helpful over the phone, and even more when in person.   You can expect superb customer service, and extreme price transparency unlike many other photography shops. This place also houses the most comprehensive set of inventory, and I strongly recommend you stop by if you need anything and everything photography related.   I recently purchased the Canon 80D with 18-135mm usm. I come from a Canon world, going back to film days. Have been using an older Rebel Rebel Ti8 purchased new 5 years ago. Stayed with this camera so long because it gives impeccable performance, especially if light conditions are right. Difference in resolution and quality and operation of lens is amazing.   This is ZEISS 20x60 truly a Remarkable binocular. The clarity & stabilization are just fabulous. The binoculars stop the movement on a cruise ship or your shaky hands and stabilize. Its amazing. I can see so far so clear on my boat now. Its closing in on the shoals of fish. Comes with big fancy case. Wish it has a smaller case to keep handy.

  An excellent traditional business in which the salespeople are still specialists and give good advice. The selection of stock cameras, but also items is always large rebates you rarely be put off on an order. In contrast to the online trade, you can look at the goods in advance exactly and take two cameras for comparison in the hand.

  Purchased MXL FR-355K Lav kit for use by photojournalism students to record interviews. Great price for a couple of XLR mics. Unfortunately, I find build quality to be fragile. Although the wire used for the cord is firm, it still feels a little tenuous. One downside I have found with this product is that the XLR connector is a little too big to fit into most XLR jacks. To solve this, I simply used an XLR patch cable. Audio quality is decent for the price.

  This Celestron Omni 32mm eyepiece mates to 2x barlow for breathtaking deep-sky views. I'm a beginner with Newtonian reflectors. Sharpest, crisp with minimal distortion at the edges. It works really well giving clear and bright viewing. Superb eyepiece for the price. I would buy it again if I lost or broke it.

  Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80 Camera was a gift and it is a great camera with a rich suite of features!   Today by serendipity I have stumbled upon a tripod solution for my Canon 7D Mark II here at Wayfield & Sons. Consulting in the digital era can be quite different in my experience. Today I had someone who took a lot of time and explained everything. For demonstration, my camera model was also taken out. In the end, I spent more money than I wanted, but it was worth it.   I like the appearance of my Billingham Hadley Pro bag very much as it is not the mainstream pouch. There is enough space inside the bag for my DSLR with a 24-70 mm lens attached and more room for two or three more lenses depending on their size. All this can be easily carried by its top handle. The shoulder strap is in its way as same is not, again not, detachable. This is a big minus as the bag is expensive enough to afford a removable shoulder strap.

  Needed a camera designed for architectural shots, first class body with very good wide-angle lens. I am a real estate agent and not a photographer, so I needed good advice.   Got there a sweetheart Fujifilm X-T1 IR Forensic Bundle, reasonable prices and very superior optically flawless products. Also technically , that is checked there, have its own service point. Can highly recommend the electronics shop, the sellers possess expertise and are all very service-oriented. So I will not only avoid Amazon, but go for Wayfield & Sons, because there is no competent expert advice on Amazon!

  Knew the COS11D was worth every cent, works perfectly with my Sennheiser Evo Wireless unit. This mic sounded outstanding and was so easy to hide with the hush lav and not get clothing rustle. The Tram still sounds great, but the next lav I buy will be another Cos-11D because of the build. Just so much easier to hide and keep quiet. Would highly recommend Wayfield & Sons for Lav mics!

  Very patient and friendly advice when buying a superzoom camera. Unfortunately, the first try showed that it was a grey model. The complaint in the store immediately resulted in the camera being replaced by new camera. The prices can also easily compete with online offers.   I bought my Olympus there, plus 3 lenses and a gorilla pod. Apart from the fact that the price was really very fair, I found the advice really good. They took their time and exchanged ideas to enable the best lens selection.   Excellent shop! It was a real treat to stumble across this place today as an avid birdie and ornithologist. Wayfield and Sons has a great array of cameras, lenses, teleconverters, battery grips, tripods & support, gimbal heads, rain protection, batteries and chargers.   Nikon 7x50CF OceanPro exude great high-quality feel. They have a nice weight to them and have a rubbery texture and grip on the exterior. I bought these for Miami Seaquarium to spot killer Whales, Sea Lions, Dolphins. Professional and friendly service, knowledgeable about all the options, and even gave me a case to help carry them home

  I'm happy with my new product and customer service from Wayfield & Sons. They always come through and will price match. They are awesome and amazing for compact cameras like the Sony ZV-1, Canon g7x mark iii. Overall, I would say this is a great gimbal for smaller cameras and larger cameras if you can handle the weight.

  This a6000 kit is a great rig for beginners looking to learn more about photography. Easy to use and there is a lot of information online about settings and camera use. Takes excellent quality pictures with the two lenses included. Camera bag is too small to fit the camera body and two lenses. Overall recommend this camera!

  I wanted to take the time to say how amazing these guys are. I've combed and noodled my way around all the shops in NY today in search for a controversial start that's not a leap of faith. Out of all the shops I've been to today this was the best. Real old fashioned customer service and from what I have seen today, a rare thing. Despite being 2 hours away from home I still may have to make this place my new local shop. This is a must stop shop for anyone in town for darkroom chemicals & multi-brands 120mm film shopping.

  Fantastic place, have been looking forward to this day and coming to the famous Lexington Avenue Wayfield and Sons to buy a new Leica SL2. Rose was really helpful when it come to choosing my Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN Art lens for the camera, she was professional and not pushy.   Purchased Fujifilm SQ20 Hybrid Digital/Instant Film Camera that my daughter LOVES. It supports INSTAX SQUARE instant film up faster than others, and the saleslady was extremely helpful with a credit application that produced results in less than 5 minutes. To top it off I had an amazing latte at the cafe in the main entrance, that was absolutely delicious. A very pleasing shopping experience!
