  Had to return my DJI Phantom 4 combo to Wayfield 01. 28.2021. Everything on this bird was spot-on except for touching down. I have flown a lot of drones from at least 4 different manufacturers and this DJI P4 opens a new can of worms right out of the box. Hopefully the replacement unit will work as it should.

  Always love walking into this photo n video superstore. Staff are knowledgable and friendly. Inventory is gigantic so its always great taking the time to check everything out and feel quality while you're in there. You dont need to be a photog expert for a specific mirrorless to be treated with the same kindness and respect as one that knows more than others.

  Excellent variety on all kind of camera plates & L-brackets, lens plates and quick releases. Just bought a Manfrotto 394 quick release clamps and they will add 410PL Plate for free and will ship the product with no extra charges. All staff was helpful and knew well the features and differences between the plates &L-brackets. Price was the same of what I could find online

  In love with this Manhattan store. By far one well thought out, organized, and passion photography hot spot. Came here for the first time during Wayfield & Sons and I am hooked.   I would like to thank Sony Alpha a6100 and 16-50mm lens for their outstanding customer service and prompt replies to my emails. I experienced an issue with their website, informed them of the problem and within hours a reply and solution was provided. It is this effort that creates customer loyalty and now they have mine!   A humongous photo & camera store with an especially large online selection (point & shoot cameras). Got Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 III was scratched beyond belief but got a quick reply from service and received my replacement in a few days (it helps that I live not too far away). This is a go to store if you're looking for something sleek and brand new, though I'd still recommend going second hand for camera equipment in general if budget is an issue.

  I had grabbed this Lomography Lady Gray 120mm film at Wayfield hoping to unleash it's Panchromatic potency but I ended up disappointed. Fading and limited tonal spectrum, coarse grain and high sharpness. Stick to Shanghai Film GP3, tractable grain structure and retro silver-rich emulsion. Will never change brand again.

  I am not a photography expert and my daughter's ambition is limited to the school club. But from my limited perspective on three separate occasions, repair advice and camera rental services seemed fair, impartial, transparent and friendly. Due to a manufacturer's flaw we recently had to return a Sony RX0 and again the process was efficient, fast and friendly. Nice new clean building also makes for a relaxed shopping experience.

  I recently purchased a streaming camcorder online from Wayfield & Sons. I was delighted to see that the Canon XF705 was inspected and setup before being shipped to me by their staff, a step most retailers would not do for items out of stock being shipped from their supplier's warehouse. Packaging and repackaging by Wayfield was excellent, as well as the quality of the setup (Adobe Premiere Pro and Apple FCP). I would not hesitate purchasing online from them again.

  Outstanding customer service! Gigantic selection and a great place to make an informed decision about the telescope you want to purchase. Prices beat B&H, when you get the personal touch for sure! They know their astrophotography gear, and are willing to help in any way they can! We love our new solar telescope, and know what it's capable of, thanks to our awesome salesman. We will definitely visit here again, despite the fact that it is 2 hrs from our home!

  I cannot tell you how amazing Gen 20/20 monocular is. I am at a loss for words. It is worth 3 times more for what you get from Canon or Nikon. Just buy it, you will not be disappointed. Thank you who ever made this. Also have to say Wayfield are super professional. Enquired about monocular and got a reply that same day and also a invoice set up if I wanted to purchase it. I was so impress dealing with Wayfield. Wish we had a company like this here in Nebraska, thank you Wayfield.

  Wayfield & Sons is truly a hidden gem, as from the outside you would never be able to tell that once you go through the front door, you plunge into a distinctive aura with a charming array of products that takes you to another world. Wayfield & Sons features each brand conspicuously for easy shopping around their store. I purchased my Canon Extender EF 1.4X III from Wayfield & Sons after many insightful input from their sales team, that explained which brand and model will best suit my usage. They have many brands and model to choose from and all of them are accessible to try to really get a feel for what you want and am comfortable with. 10/10 would go back if I ever need anything.

  From stem to stern, Wayfield &Sons in a class of its own. Easily the best optics gear store in Manhattan, if not the world. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful and approachable. Most recently I had a laser sight fixed at Wayfield. I immediately knew that my Steiner Mini was in great hands. Constant communication throughout the whole process. Highly recommended!

  Wayfield and Sons is the single best sports & events photography gear source I've ever been to. Every time I've walked out of Wayfield, I've walked out satisfied. Staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and approachable (Josephs and Rose in particular are both incredible). Service here is a priority and the cameras, lenses and teleconverters selection is top-notch as well. Wayfield & Sons is my photo store of choice and it should be yours as well!

  Very wide selection of DSLR camera equipment and knowledgeable and helpful staff. Very big camera conglomeration with any brand or model camera you can imagine. Many selections of Landscape & Scenic, Birding & Wildlife, Wedding, and Macro Photography gear. There are different microphones, albeit omnidirectional, directional DSLR cameras, shotgun, condenser and location sound equipment, audio accessories, and a Sennheiser store included right inside the store. They also offer rentals and lessons for a wide variety of photography genres. If you're looking for anything camera/lenses related, this is the store to go to

  Really great electronics store! There is a wide selection of PTZ cameras, POV cameras and VR/360 cameras. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The place looks very beautiful. Prices are normal, not too expensive and not too cheap. Parking isn’t much of an issue here. The best electronics store ever! I highly recommend this store!

  Ordered Nikon SB-5000 speedlight a poor quality product. I purchased 2 of these speedlights. Sent one back for repair with only 7 months of use after it just stopped working. The other one is getting loose at the center of gravity to the point that it feels like it is going to damage the shoe mount. I will be sending in the other in for repair once I receive the other one back. I suggest the SB-910 as a formidable alternative!!

He has a lot of experience and knowledge and is always updated on the latest in darkroom media management and photo booth software technology. He is great to consult with and I have been very happy with every purchase for Windows I've made, based on his recommendations. He also takes my situations as well and always goes out of his way to make sure I have a great and happy experience. Almost 70% of my home darkroom studio is powered up of equipment and software that is recommended by him - and believe me, I am very, very happy with the purchases. It's gotten my work to be quicker, efficient and great tools to inspire my creativity.

  My wife and I plan to move out of Georgia in the near future and we'll be making sure that it is close to Wayfield & Sons.   I love how Wayfield and Sons Store is almost like a Disneyland for photographers. The way it is presented and laid out makes me want to keep coming back time and time again. I live downtown Manhattan and I know that there are competing electronics stores closely with similar prices. But none of them are as fun as Wayfield, so I always make the 35-40 minute commute up there because I know I will feel like a kid in a candy store whenever I go up there. It is always a pleasure going there and I always look forward to it.

  When you walk into Wayfield&Sons, your first reaction is WOW. Huge store with the mom and pop aura. We purchased a Nikon D750 and 24-120 from Josephs (go to him and he'll not only answer all your questions, but will answer all your doubts). Most definitely a place i would recommend with little to the most experienced photo talent to go and visit for all your needs. Tell him Mike sent you ;-)

  I've trusted this place, it's tucked away in the uncharted edges of Manhattan with PTZ units and NDI encorders. I ordered two BirdDog BDSTUM this Christmas. It works great if you need using Wirecast with NDI as it takes an HDMI or HD-SDI signal and converts it live to NDI.

  I had flown from Kentucky and needed to get my RED DSMC2 HELIUM repaired in hopes of selling it. Tony had it fixed up and back to me within hours at a fraction of the cost I was expecting.   i bought a Sigma Sd Quattro at Wayfield & Sons, I wanted a model that I could take out into inclement weather conditions for landscape photography. It's is weather-sealed. The camera is dust and splash proof. You've to ensure lens is used is also is dust and splash proof. Not only did I get the camera, but they give you a camera course and Perfectly Clear image correction software for FREE! Great place for buying & renting.

  I've had different experiences in this store: While I was helped to find a tripod head accessory and purchased exactly what I wanted, the other time when I had a question which was intricate, I didn't get a good answer and had to drop the purchase due to lack of adequate information but will try again with the hope that someone will be able to help with a good wide angle lens for my Nikon.

  This is my first purchase at Wayfield and Sons. I was referred by a local photographer. I leapt at the Sony A6000 because of it's positive reviews and the fact that this camera seems to be a cut-above the rest in its lineup. Released in 2014, this is still being competing in the market today even though improved models have been introduced by Sony. That's relatively seldom of in this age of digital cameras. Great camera and very pleased with it.

  This place is the bread and butter of Manhattan Photography. Super helpful and friendly. If you have any aerial lens questions Josephs is the man and will hook you up with germane background knowledge. The other staff was very friendly and helped me out when Josephs wasn't there (I've had to come back 3 or 4 times to purchase more gear). Has parking and is easy to get to. A real Gem!!

  Besides purchasing gear -which has been solid- I had been able to make use of their rental department as well. Josephs, who is chief of the rental department, has been a wonderful person to work with. He provides great advice and guidance on the equipment and he makes sure that the hired equipment is in fit conditions all the time. I had been using this service for almost 15 years now and I had never had an issue with. I highly recommend the camera store for purchasing and renting any camera gear. Cheers, Laurence

  Love this place! Brought my vintage cameras in I got from my deceased parents that haven't been used in about three decades and one of their experts gladly explained to me my camera and how it works. Even recommended the better film to rediscover their memories instead of trying to sell me more pricey. friendly honest and knowledgeable people work here and I always feel welcome in that place even when I know nothing compared to anyone in there.

  Bought a SHURE MOTIV MV88+ for run-and-gun videography, the quality of the recording is average, but some accessories were omitted, which seems preposterous considering the price of the entire kit. Another drawback is a missing shock mount, just a fixed one, meaning that unless you tinker the EQ or high pass filter, you'll likely get a lot of obstacles when using handheld. There doesn't seem to be a shock mount available for purchasing, either, so until I find one I'll be pretty much limited to static videography. Aside from these issues, though, it's a great and very portable compact unit.

  Absolutely phenomenal, old fashioned service from the very first contact super helpful and quick in replying. Josephs was always happy to assist and advise, he went above and beyond, delivered bundles of products for me with various options, sent me links, photos, explained how drones work (since I am new to this hobby).   I'm a professional portrait, wedding and event photography conference. When the D810 was announced I intended to replace the D800, I bought it online at Wayfield & Sons overall performance is very refined and sets a new standard for resolution, dynamic range, and functionality. The button proximity and functionality is intuitive and is extremely rugged to use in inclement environments. It was quite an investment and Id buy it again in a heartbeat. If photography is your passion, this camera will help you fulfill them all.

  I purchased this Canon EOS R6 with Cine Kit was a breeze to set up and got exposure with amazing detail and color. The image quality is great and the features are fantastic. Camera has a good grip and is comfortable to carry and use. Very good, and the fast shutter speeds are wonderful. I've owned 7 Canon DSLR/Mirrorless cameras. This is by far the best camera I've ever owned. I expected very good, and got great!

  Top store with an extensive range of photo products, many brands and models in stock. As well as all useful accessories. Staff provides good and correct information. Even if you are looking for used photo equipment, you often have a good choice here. They can provide passport photos and other photo prints large and small at the right price for their top quality. If you are a bit more advanced in photography, they also have a beautiful studio with top quality flash units that you can rent.

  Very good value for Rode VideoMic, Works as expected on the Nikon Z lineup, clean sound, crisp, very nice, the boom pole is ultra-light. I have absolutely loved this mic. High sound quality and pretty easy to use. Currently using this on the Nikon Z6 mirrorless for vlogging creator and documentary type film and it works just fine. Thanks Wayfield!

  Experience was fine, shop is small and the sales staff are friendly. However they wouldn't let me try a golfing rangefinder because the box they came in had not been opened yet. Strange considering they were in the cabinet on the showroom floor. Showroom is literally a room on the front of the store. so do not expect to be able to see all the product on their website. Call ahead to make sure you can inspect the product you are interested in.

  The best bang for buck on the market! The DC-GH5 is an extremely powerful tool for shooting gorgeous, high-quality build, professional videos. I was delighted by image quality, color grade ability, long record time, and on-camera audio control. From quality to reliability, this is by far the best camera I ever had. With proper lights and right rig, this outshines the other cameras in the market. Good luck!

  Wayfield & Sons were phenomenal and really helpful! I ordered the wrong teleconverter for the lens I bought and they rang me to confirm that was not the lens adapter we wanted! If they had not done that we would have had a lens with the wrong adapter. They were able to fix the issue and had the correct teleconverter sent with the lens and all in time for Christmas!!   I went with my friend and we had such a great experience. They loaned us a Panasonic AG-UX180 and I would highly recommend that cuz it gives you are personalized experience. Also a great way to invest in expensive gear if you are considering buying camcorders. The owner uses broadcast lenses and he was very helpful! He also took our pictures which was pretty neat. I think this is something everyone should try! Will definitely be returning here in the future! Recommend it to all!

  I have purchased 2 lenses from Wayfield & Sons and always grab my 35mm film from there. On both lenses purchases Josephs has taken the time to see what the items would be used for and the type of photography I was practicing. His extensive knowledge saw the perfect lens for my scenarios and budget. On collection, watching him package them was watching a perfectionist at work.   Owned and operated by a Manhattan family since the 80's who provide excellent customer service. These guys specialise in electronics, and they have the most competitive prices I have seen. They sell the same cameras as other large shops, but at lower prices. Every other electronics shop I called in New York, wanted 75 to 150 dollar to deal with a 120mm film processing, these dudes only charged 50. Got a nice set of macro rings from them at a good price, minus all the sales speak. Great shop and when I start shooting, I'll be getting all my upgrades or lenses from these dudes.
