  This is the best place for all your Videography needs! I’ve been purchasing camcorders cine equipment from the Wayfield&Sons store in NY for years & I can’t fault the excellent service I always get from all the staff, they are very knowledgeable, helpful & friendly. I recently purchased a new BM there & Rose was brilliant at answering all my queries & helping me choose accessories. Their prices are very competitive & sometimes you can even pick up items that have been barely used at a discount. I really don’t know what I’d do if I couldn’t go in & ask them in-person, questions that I have & handle the equipment prior to purchase. In this online age, it’s so difficult to get expert one to one advice, like you can here, thank you!

  Josephs and the crew at Wayfield and Sons have some of the best prices I have found on-line. They offer law enforcement discounts but you need to call before placing your on-line order. The experience of buying a FUJIFILM X-T1 IR forensic bundle. The team took two weeks to make that happen. Each time I sent an inquiry Tyler was quick to respond with whatever update he had. They did the very best that could be expected from a customer service perspective. Overall I was very happy with the prices and service I received and happily recommend them.

  Awesome bunch of people. Very knowledgeable and I heard before the end of the yr they should have a new location and a telescope section with a heavy reflector for viewing sky-deep occupants and place to socialize with keeping in regulations for Covid-19 protocols! Super excited!

  This store and its staff are fantastic. Always helpful and have a wealth of knowledge on all things video conferencing. I recently purchased a video conference screen and PTZ and they were malfunctioning, so I returned to the store and they quickly swapped them out for new ones, no questions asked. Highly recommend them if your company is exploring to get into video conferencing due to Covid-19 or a long time enthusiast.

  I have been a on/off customer for a few years now and I always go back to Wayfield&Sons, even when I don't live in Manhattan anymore. The staff are fantastic, owner is great, and they all will gladly take the time to answer any questions or explain things for you if they can. I have never been unsatisfied with the service and care Josephs has provided to me a replacement as a loyal customer. Would recommend even if you don't live in Manhattan or New York to shop with.

  Josephs sent my Mamiya RZ67 classic after a day. It is a 6x7 medium format SLR camera that generates stunning portraits and breathtaking close-up photography. A direct descendent of the tried and true Mamiya RB67, it uses uncompromising professional lenses to produce large deta. I recommend this camera for high-end professional tasks!

  Very good film laboratory at reasonable prices. Quality of development and scans is good. For errors, e.g. B. Incidence of light in the camera is shown separately by email message. Very good communication. Scan takes about 12 days. Negatives come three or four days later.

  I graduated from the university as an astrophysicist and decided to start my career as a professional astronomer, for this I decided to purchase a high-quality Sky-Watcher EXPLORER-130M telescope, which I purchased at Wayfieldandsons online store. I consulted Josephs to whom I asked for advice , qualitatively completed their work, as they advised this model, explaining all its advantages and its affordable low price.   For a long time I wanted to get a workhorse for portraiture, major undertakings like shooting a wedding or conference. I was looking for a reliable store with a solid selection of digital cameras and affordable prices. Stopped at this store. I made an order, I immediately received a call from the store. In the end, after communication and the advice of an employee from the store, with his help I made an order for a Canon 5D Mark IV. I really liked the attitude towards the client. Managers advice impartially, they will select a model that suits you in terms of price and parameters. Listen to all the wishes of the client. It is evident that they are not in priority to make a quick buck, but they will choose a really ideal product if the person cannot decide. Camera delivered on time. I am satisfied with the quality of the Mark IV, the photo is excellent. I shoot in high schools, colleges and corporate events, develop graduation albums etc.. Every client is happy with the quality of the photos.

  A super-quality store, I have no complaints about my order. I ordered a Nikon d3200 kit AF-S 18-55 DX VR II camera here. The DSLR assortment is extensive, so there was plenty to choose from. I decided to take up photography, therefore, on the advice of my friend who's a local photographer, I settled on this model. Delivery by courier sailed though without any glitches. I am satisfied with the cooperation.

  Qualitatively Wayfieldandsons runs one of the best film labs I know. I have never received such good scans from any other photo shop. But due to a few small drawbacks, I could only give three stars. The ordering system is hopelessly outdated. You send your film with a printed order (online?) At home to the laboratory and you receive an invoice. After the money has been received, the order is executed (red-tape). The processing time is also relatively long, especially with E6 slide film. The time is okay with the C41 and SW, even if other laboratories manage it faster. Lastly, I find the pricing pretty inflated. Wayfield and Sons is the absolute front runner here. Above all, I find the express options offered for faster processing of an order to be steep. In the meantime I've looked for other laboratories that I can rotate between. For reasons of cost and a lack of patience.

  Bought a Vello EXT-SFED2 extension tube and received it in pristine condition (plenty of protective bubble covering). No local shops had it in stock and after reading a few dozen reviews I trusted this company with my purchase. I've already used the tube and had no issues whatsoever during operating and tweaking. I'm happy with the product and will shop again. Delivered very quickly considering Lockdown in New York as well.

  The owner frittered away 15 minutes with me aligning a telescope that my daughter thought was not collimated accurately. He reset the Meade LX65 back to default factory settings and it works great. She will be thrilled. He did not charge me. I offered to pay him twice. He is a real professional. If you have any issues with any telescope or components, this is the place to go to. Thank you sir.

  Professionalism and perspicacity- perhaps with these words I can characterize the nature of this store and its employees. The fact is that we decided to take up the challenging venture - photography, of course we decided to buy the equipment better. However, in view of the fact that we are amateurs in this matter, our quality litmus test was in price (the more expensive the better). Thanks to Josephs at Wayfieldandsons, they steered us from expensive products and deduced just an excellent price-performance ratio. There was a pleasant impression of the fact that we are trying to sell exactly the product we need, and not, sorry for the expression, “sniff” what is more expensive. An EOS Rebel T7 , Canon EOS 90D and Lens Cap, supports & mounts for DSLR cameras were very pleased with the products purchased. Thanks to the store and its associates (sorry, I forgot their names) for high-quality goods and excellent service.

  My fourth transaction with Wayfield&Sons store. Everyone knows how coveted Blackmagic camcorders are now. Therefore, there is always a supply shortfall for them, and even more so for one of the newly-released cameras. I ordered BMDPCC 6K at Wayfield in early October. Owner Jacob honestly warned that i would have to wait for 2 weeks, or even 3. But the wait did not stretch out, and my Pocket Cinema Camera 6K is already with me and will be back in the near future!   Went to have camera diagnostic & repair work done. Before entering they check your temperature with a thermal gun, indicating they care about the customers. The dude I talked to was very helpful. He explained everything about what needed to be done to my cameras. Great customer service.

  Wayfield and Sons have a great optical portfolio supplying their shoppers with pro-grade astrophotographers' equipment and accessories. With very competitive prices on familiar, trustworthy brands like Celestron/Meade, and a lightning-fast delivery service for online purchases, I rarely shop elsewhere for my astronomy equipment.   Experience was fine, shop space is small and the sales staff are knowledgeable. However they wouldn't let me try a bridge Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000 because the box they came in had not been opened yet. Strange considering they were in the display on the exhibition section. Exhibition is literally a room on the front of the warehouse.. so do not expect to be able to see all the product on their website. Call ahead to make sure you can inspect the product you are interested in.

  I know this store for a long time, I personally know many people amongst their staff. Excellent, and one of the few places where there is a whole cycle of working with film materials. A good choice of film, then a good scan. Any rejected print is rectified without question, which pleases. In addition, there are many accessories and photographic equipment, including light and studio equipment. Separately, I note a good choice of used cinematography and photography lenses.

  I visited the shop to have a professional compare a Sigma Dp0 and a Leica M. My decision was between a 21 mm additional lens or the dp0 lens+camera, at 1/2 the price compared to a Leica lens. Josephs identified the sensor as the one and only reason why i should buy Sigma Dp0. It is awesome at its sweet point (iso100, f5.6, 60sec) and difficult in any other setting. This is a landscape camera and unbeatable at that. I’m sure I’ll be throwing more money their way soon as the need for accessories arises (as it always does with cameras 😆).

  I was looking around for a pair of Night Owl Optics 5x50. Wayfieldandsons had the most competitive price for the specific piece I was looking for.   Very interesting store photo, video equipment. Both new and used cameras are sold here. There are both prices for entry-level consumer camcorders range from $ 400 to $ 40000 and higher for red digital cinema monsters. I bought myself a famous NDI PTZOptics conference camera, for a fairly reasonable price, plus an extra.

  As a beginner in the star-gazing world, I received a comprehensive introductory lesson from Josephs (one who spent a lot of time in optical engineering factories), he listened to my needs and explained to me the way I should go as an astronomer and where I can acquire more insights to polish my knowledge. I was in the store for about an hour, and I received an answer to all my questions and at the highest level. In terms of prices, they were among the cheapest in Manhattan but it was the professional aspect that really made the decision, the conversation, even at the phone level, was at the highest level and the most caring and it made me come to the store. If I continue in the field and move on to my next astro-related gear, I have no doubt where I will go. Thank you very much to Josephs&Rose and WAYFIELD AND SONS for an excellent shopping experience.

  I have used Wayfield&sons multiples times and they are very efficient and have good selection of fly-on-the-wall/hidden cameras I am so happy to buy surveillance items from hare, they provide excellent customer service and obtained all queries through the 'Live Chat' link which they have on their website. The products they supplied are tested and checked beforehand thus saving quite a lot of time, I had my hidden camera connected to a CCTV camera system and zeroed this was an extra convenience which I was appreciated. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised to find a handful alarm system accessories supplied with the Bush Baby Wicker Tissue Covert Camera that I brought, on the whole I nice experience.

  Excellent store with a huge range of lens, cameras and related equipment. Best I called them before closing and asked to reserve for me a Fujinon 20x zoom lens , arrived about 10 minutes before closing and the seller waited for me there and was patient and answered all questions, did a comprehensive lens inspection and helped me with what I needed even though I followed it at the end of the day !!! Obviously service really excellent!

  I purchased a Rokinon 14mm T3.1 cine lens with an auto extension tube set from Wayfield&Sons. ..... After about two months the setup broke apart. Of course, I went to the importer's shop. In the end, in order to save me the misery and a nail-biting wait for some solution, I got a new vello extension tube setup at no charge. Would like to note Rose's caring attitude. Highly recommend

  I have used Wayfield &Sons several times and have received great service every time. From choosing, ordering, fulfillment and delivery, everything is spot on! Ordering is easy, delivery is fast and on time and all staff are helpful and very friendly. I had an issue with a faulty battery grip that was replaced promptly. I've also recently had a problem with a d610 i purchased some time ago (not because of Wayfield&sons) but Josephs helped me with identifying the issue and helped me resolve it via email. Perfect service and a great selection of everything. I definitely recommend Wayfield&sons to fulfill your needs.

  Great experience. Went to WAYFIELD &SONS in person to look at and discuss the recently EOS R5. Was helped and advised by Josephs who had to keep going into the back to bring out various cameras for my analysis without a word of complaint. Finally decided and was given time to examine chosen camera along with lenses before purchasing. Thoroughly recommended.

  Bought a Ricoh THETA Z1 360° image stitching camera on the weekend. Staff are really helpful. Young guy Steve took the time to show us what point & shoot camera was available. Staff were very attentive and knew their products. Really friendly people and will certainly be shopping there in the future. Highly recommended.

  I bought a Nikon D610 DSLR Camera + accessory online from Wayfieldandsons.com for the simple reason that they had the best deal. Because I did not want to wait, I picked it up in the store the same day after phone contact or the camera was in stock. The overall experience was extremely friendly and welcoming and I have actually not experienced this efficiency in any store (in NY or yonder). Because not all of the accessories were in stock, this will be sent as soon as it is in stock. So far a 10 !!

  My wife and I are new to star-gazing. We had some issues with what we originally purchased. Returned to the store and spoke with Josephs.   The only bad thing about Wayfield&Sons? That they are not in New York, ​​and I cannot hug them every day as I want < Rose and Josephs are pure love, they carry out their duties with a dedication, a passion and a joy that today is hard to find: they serve you with insuperable kindness, and they will spend as long as it takes with you to solve your doubts, advise you, help you ...   Interested in full-frame photography, It was very daunting going in the store for my first time as a novice, but once in store Rose greeted me and put me onto Steve to find my full-frame mirrorless cam and all the gear to go with it, my second time in was just as good with Josephs helping me this time, I was very happy with service and the shop Itself and the amount of stock Is awesome, both Josephs and Steve were very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions and were very helpful In setting me up with my full-frame photography with Canon EOS R, as too with the completion of the sales with Rose Was a great experience, thanks Guys 👌

  Rang up in the morning asked Josephs about Cokin filters 27mm to 86mm for Macro Photography. Was the last one in stock and asked if he could put it away for me as it was a hour and half drive to the store for me. I got there the setup was put aside for me I also bought an extension tube and reverse rings which he fitted for me and I bought some threaded cable releases. Absolutely fantastic service I will be back if I need anything else. Thank you for the great service!!

  From my point of view as an amateur, there is no doubt that it is the store in Manhattan, and possibly in New York, with the largest assortment. And of the few that I have seen that work with the Mamiya Leaf brand. As for the customer treatment I have found everything. But despite this they are good professionals. With the last lens I ordered there has been a slight inconvenience with the delivery time and a difference in relation to the price initially specified.

  I dropped in last week to buy AquaTech Base ii housing kit for Canon 6D Mark II to craft a powerful undersea camera. No pressure, very relaxed and friendly. I bought a used lens, it was perfect for what I wanted. The owner explained how to set the sites up and what to do and what not to do with it. The products were just as cheap here as on-line, I was surprised at that. I also got a case for it, very well priced and easy to talk to. It's not something I buy everyday but if I was in the market for another I would not hesitate to go back.

  Good photography shop I been going hear for years. After reading some of the comments on hear, the bad ones I do agree that one or two of the staff can come across a bit awkward but when you get to know the team there they are very helpful and easy to talk too and willing to help you. I been to many fun shops around NY and I seem to think most are like this. All in all my favourite camera shop to go too.

  I recently ordered the Fujifilm GFX 50S from here on the 3rd of april and it arrived on the 6th of april. I was a bit skeptic because this website has a good dose of criticism at Reddit but the camera came in perfect condition and it hasn’t broke or anything bad yet. I recommend this website. I think their location and selection of equipment is great but some of their staff can be pretty unkind, specially if you say your just trying to get ideas on what your next lens should be.   The course of dealings between Wayfield&Sons with our business runs up 10 years. Our most recent trip was to buy a Fujinon MK50-135mm T2.9 lens for Sony E mount. We spoke with Rose Sloane I believe it was. She was very helpful and not pushy at all. We left with a couple great options and troves of information.
