  Tim and the private 4-hour tour around Stockholm was an unforgettable experience! The picturesque views, personalized service, and Tim's knowledge of the area made it truly exceptional. Highly recommend for a unique and memorable way to explore Stockholm's stunning waters and amazing architecture. A great way to see the city and avoid the crowds. A must-try!

  Victoria was very informative, kind, easy to talk with, like walking the towns with an old friend. She gave us the history of the island, the country, and the towns of Mdini and Rabat. Walked us through both, pointing out architectural and local historical points of interest . Would highly rerecommend taking 1 of her tours. Pre tour, she was very helpful answering my questions about arranging transportation.

  Marie and the tour she organized for us was exceptional. Winery tour and picnic, walking around St. Emilion, winery in old convent and tour of underground catacombs and church. Adventures we could never have done by ourselves or with a group tour. She is knowledgeable, friendly and caring. We would tour with her again and again. Perfect experience with delightful guide.   Mohamed is an excellent tourist guide, He is a person that people will remember forever. He has deep knowledge and can answer questions. He is confident with the details of their job, He was the liaison with local salesmen translating and interpreting everything and helpful with transporting and accompanying us all time (my wife, my two best friends, and me). He makes people laugh. and listen. He is a person that goes the extra mile.

  Eda is amazing! We spent a wonderful day exploring Cappadocia with her. She took us to many interesting and beautiful places, and was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of the area, as well as Turkey in general. We learned so much from her, and also just really enjoyed her company - it felt like we were spending the day with a friend! Transportation was easy and comfortable, too. I am grateful to her for her hospitality during our visit and would absolutely recommend her!

  Debora arranged a wonderful and personalized ancestry tour, and we are so grateful for her effort, energy, and hard work. Her tour was a totally enjoyable and very personal event in our lives. Her command of the language was impressive; her attention to detail helped us to relate to our own genealogy; and, her sacrifice & effort gave us a glimpse into life in Aviles many years ago.   Wonderful private day tour including Utah Beach, the museum and inland towns & villages. Andy Campbell did an excellent job preparing for our tour. Our tour group included the granddaughter of one of the heroes who came ashore at Utah Beach and eventually sacrificed his life in Normandy. Andy personalized the tour with his research into the actions & movements of the grandfather's military unit. Provided for a very meaningful & insightful day. Highly recommend Tours by Locals and especially Andy Campbell.

  The private tour Michael was everything we hoped it would be. An entire day of sight seeing, shopping, history, culture, and interesting stories and facts. Michael had answers to all our questions and gave us many choices of what to see and do. Never hurried. Importantly he was easy to understand and a pleasure to listen to. We rarely had a moment when we were not talking about, or discussing something. A very gifted tour guide. He left us with the best of memories.

  Dirk was a fantastic guide for our tour in Bruges on 6/3/23! Pick-up and drop-off were timely and as described in booking. His vehicle was comfortable for our 3 person group. He was very knowledgeable and provided lots of historical information on the tour. It was a lovely day and we all enjoyed our walking tour of the city and the delicious lunch in a pub that he recommended. All were so helpful since it was our first time in Bruges. I highly recommend Dirk for a more intimate experience vs. a bus tour.

  Could Gerard be any nicer, professional, friendly, informative, charming, polished and prepared?!! I think not, this guy is the real deal!   The tour was perfect. Dorothée knows a lot about Nice. She injected a bit of history, fun... She adapted to our audience (French people with an American) and to our schedule. She was really attentive and nice. Her English is perfect. We really enjoyed this time with Dorothée and were really pleased to discover some places and sights that we could not have seen during our stay without her input.

  Dean was a fabulous tour guide and gave us a great local feel for the island and what it means to grow up, live and work on the island today. My wife and I took a full day tour and highly recommend Dean. Well worth the cost.

  We did the Giants causeway tour with Gerard and had an absolutely wonderful time. Gerard did everything he could to make sure it was a special time. He assisted my future son in law with planning a marriage proposal to my daughter and picked an awesome location. Would give more stars if I could. Don't hesitate booking him!

  From the moment we met Ted we knew we were going to have a good day. He has a real passion for his island and went above and beyond to ensure we had a fabulous day. We heard stories about the island and the people, saw some breathtaking sights, met some lovely people along the way and also tasted some fantastic food. Ted even managed to get my husband in a rasta hat! Which was a site to behold. All in all a great guide who felt more like a friend and a great day. Thank you Ted. Hope to see you again!

  Mario was the highlight of our May Mediterranean Cruise! We chose to hire a private driver for the Amalfi Coast so we randomly chose Mario and we are so glad we did! He made us feel like we have been friends our whole lives and my husband loved chatting with him about football. He really tried to get us to do everything we wanted to do along the Amalfi coast in the allotted time. We would 100% hire Mario again and you too should use him next time you are in Naples!

  Mr Brata was very good, super guide. He is friendly and helpful. Willing to share all his knowledge about the places that we visited.   Susana was a wonderful guide. She knows so much about Guanajuato, its history as well as what's happening today. She was a few minutes early to meet us, her English was excellent and she walked with us all over the historic center of the city. She also offered several recommendations of places to eat, places to visit and attractions to explore afterward. This tour was a splurge for us, price-wise, but well worth it. Thank you, Susana!

  This website doesn't allow me enough characters to describe how incredible our experience with Issam was. If I'm being honest, my husband and I were a little nervous about spending a full day with a person we didn't know, but we became fast friends with Issam. Every single aspect of our day was planned perfectly (including my husband buying a custom suit, which we requested). We consider Issam a friend now, and I cannot stress how much I recommend you book a tour with him!!

  Ana was great. She met us downtown where a cruise ship shuttle dropped us off. We did a walking tour of Porto. She showed us the local market, several gourmet and interesting food shops. We also went to the major historical sites and got to see how beautiful it was. Ana was extremely knowledgeable about the area and very friendly. Get your walking shoes on. Be prepared for the hills and narrow streets. Ana will show you the way.

  Patrik delivered an excellent tour of Mikulov, Lednice and a Moravian winery. He picked me up in Brno and drove me to these locations, providing historical and cultural information along the way and at the sites themselves. I highly recommend this tour to get the feel for Moravia. Also for anyone who likes wine, Patrik secured a wine tasting for me at an excellent winery where they also described their wine making process. This whole tour is a great experience. A definite must see.

  Wow! Dilek is an experienced and knowledgeable guide who organized most of the top sites in Sultanahmet into a well-orchestrated day. She provided a wonderful overview of the sites and history. She flexes the tour to the specific needs & desires of participants. I would book her again next time I'm in town, but would do so in advance as she is popular. We ended with the satisfaction of seeing everything and might like to return to the Grand Bazaar for a longer look. Wear good shoes!

  Excellent tour to The Hague with Walda. We met in Amsterdam at train station and had a nice visit on the ride, walked over to Mauritshuis and walked through this wonderful museum. Of course, Vermeer's Girl with a Pearl Earring was the star but the entire collection is nicely presented and Walda had fascinating information to share. Highly recommended.

  As this was the first visit to Washington DC, for two of our party, we chose the full day tour so that we could see and learn about as many of the main sights as possible. Our guide, Tom, was excellent and the tour fulfilled our goals for the day. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer the myriad of questions we asked. Tom also helped us decide what other sights to visit for our next two days and he recommended places to dine in the evening. Wonderful!

  My husband and I have always wanted to visit Spain and especially the Alhambra. Manu made the architecture and culture of the people who built this magnificent structure come alive for us. The way he wove the story of why the rooms were designed the way they were and the impact the design had on the people of the day, made us feel like we had stepped back to that time. He thought of every detail including a fantastic driver and a delicious lunch in a beautiful location before returning to Malaga. Wow!

  Absolutely amazing day! Our guide Gianluca was fantastic. We were collected from our hotel and taken to some incredible places and treated to special experiences that only a local could offer. Gianluca had excellent knowledge of the sites and always showed us the best places to get great photographs. I would highly recommend a day trip with Gianluca.

  Adi was AMAZING!!! Our ship was extremely late in clearing the ship so that we could disembark but Adi kept in touch with me and waited patiently for us to get off the ship. Due to our late arrival for the tour, we weren't able to see everything that we planned but Adi made sure that we were able to get a really thorough tour that made us feel like we saw everything! We even wrapped up the tour with delicious shwarma! I highly recommend Adi to everyone that is traveling to the beautiful destination!

  Valentina is great. We contacted them in advance of a trip to Sicily to organize individual components of our trip, to answer questions and to give us tips and information about our goals. Contact via e-mail and Skype works quickly and without any problems. Everything worked perfectly, Valentina answered all questions comprehensively and gave us many tips and insides.   The Sibiu walking tour with Adela D. was one of the highlights of our trip to Romania. She told us a lot of interesting stories about Sibiu past and present, she showed us many interesting sights through out the city. With her guidance we managed to feel the city and not only visit it. Her english was perfect and easy to understand (and its not our mothers tongue).

  Full-day tour with Irene Chow was simply awesome. She arranged for us private transportation from Miri to Brunei and back, in the absence of a regular bus line. Once in Brunei, she ensured we visit all the highlights BSB offers, driving us around with her car. Visit included Sultan's museum, 2 mosques, lunch at traditional restaurant, coffee at Empire's hotel, river tour and snack at boatman's chalet in Kampung Ayer. She adapted to our needs very easily and I have already recommended her to other travellers

  Where do I begin...."I will make you fall in love with Porto at the end of the tour!"- Joao said passionately as he greeted me at the meeting point, under the metal arch of Luis I Bridge. For the next several hours of the tour he customized the experience specifically to cater to my wishes with an ease of communication, professionalism, and knowledge of his city. Touring Porto in a sidecar, meeting locals and stopping at local "hidden gems" off the beaten path was truly special. 10 out of 5 stars!!!

  We had a wonderful day touring Hiroshima with Michiru. She kept us on pace but also allowed us to move at our own speed. She had tons of insights and kept the entire group of us engaged. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Michiru or this tour to anyone, it was truly a highlight of our 2 week trip. There is no way we could have seen or learned nearly as much without her guidance. Thanks!

  Pierre provided a tour for our group of 20 architects and designers visiting Montréal. He is very knowledgeable and had wonderful insight on the city's history, architecture and leadership. We were able to see a great deal of the old part of the city in a short amount of time and Pierre was a fabulous host!

  Sara is a very energetic and passionate guide. She is very knowledgable and share her knowledge and experience in an very nice and engaged way. We were a family group of seven adults and everybody truly enjoyed the walk today.   We had a great day with Walt on Saipan. He was proactive in communicating with us before the tour to make sure our interests on Saipan would be addressed, and was flexible during the tour to accommodate our requests. We received a wealth of information not only about the WWII aspects of Saipan, but also about its people and history. We had an enjoyable day that was well worth the expense. Thanks, Walt!

  I booked two tours through Tours By Locals - one for Osaka and one for Tokyo. Both guides were wonderful and very pleasant.   I highly recommend Michael as a guide. He was very knowledgeable and showed us a great time. The tour was completely personalized and we got to do some shopping, food and beach time at Dr's Cave Beach. Back to the ship on time and had a lot of fun!

  Yazid spoke excellent English, and was very professional We wanted a variation of his normal tour and asked him to take us to Oskar Schindler gravesite.He permitted us "as much time as we wanted" at the gravesite and at the churches also. I felt comfortable with this local young man, and encourage others to take a tour with him.

  Alicia was wonderful. We developed a custom tour with her and she delivered everything she said she would. If you are going to Switzerland, don't speak the language, and don't have confidence with using the trains and trolleys, Alicia can take all the angst away from your trip. I'd hire her again and again!

  Blazej was amazing. He was professional, he was attentive, on time, courteous, and friendly. He explained each stop in detail as to where to go, what will happen and where we should meet him.   Chamrong did an excellent job at guiding us around six historic sites in two days. His commentary was always informative. This is the hottest time of year in Cambodia so he toured in a way to mitigate the high temperatures. I would highly recommend him to someone touring the Angkor area.

  AMAZING! AMAZING! AMAZING! We spent two full days with Louise and had a fabulous time. She was very personable, knowledgeable and fun. She plotted an amazing tour which was flexible with the weather (we had lots of rain) which made the trip fantastic. We fit in many activities in our limited time and really enjoyed all aspects of Rotorua. Louise provided us with lots of extras which were very appreciated.   Frederic's extensive knowledge of Canada's part in the Great War made this an unforgettable experience that we would highly recommend. Our tours of Vimy and the battles of the Somme were very moving. Frederic filled in a lot of historical and military details that enabled us to gain a better understanding of the conflicts in WW1.   My husband and I have traveled and taken tours all around the world, but Lesotho was definitely a challenge for us to find much detail on. We are so happy that we found Motlatsi on Toursbylocals.com. He was an incredible tour guide and great communicator! He picked us up from the airport and drove us to Semonkong to see the Maletsunyane Falls. He was able to give us lots of information on the ~2 hour trip through the countryside. The sights were breathtaking, never a dull moment. He was very accommodating to our needs arranging for us a horseback ride and stay at Semonkong Lodge (an absolute must in my opinion). We were only with him for a short time, but he made it all the more memorable. Thank you for an amazing Lesotho experience! I will be recommending Motlatsi to all my friends, family and fellow travelers.

  We are a group of 11 people visited Istanbul by Celestyal Cruise, and only had a day and half in Istanbul.   Biljana was excellent….passionate and knowledgeable about both current Montenegro and its history. Our tour combined driving as well as walking and the pace was excellent, allowing for us to move relatively quickly (to fit everything in) without ever feeling rushed. We covered Budva, Cetinje and old town Kotor and learned a ton about the divergent towns. We highly recommend "Billi"!!

  I enjoyed a 4 day private tour of Easter Island with a wonderful guide, Claudio. He is very personable and knowledgeable. Claudio was eager to share stories about the ancient history of the island and life on the island today for Rapa Nui people.   Long story short, schedule your tour with Raychan now before he's fully booked! Enjoy! Long story: We wanted a tour in Curacao that highlighted the country's natural beauty, some off-the beaten-path experiences and to include local art.   Our half day tour of Tangiers with Achraf was a fantastic way to start our trip around Morocco. We felt very lucky to have him as our guide.   Darren was a very informative and affable host for our combo trip to the Atherton Table lands followed by a boat trip to the Reef. I would strongly recommend him if you are planning this trip. During the first day we visited 6 waterfalls, in several of which we were able to swim. The boardwalks through the rainforest were wonderful and we were able to stop for coffee and lunch in 2 quiet country towns. Darren talked knowledgeably about the economics, politics and development of the area and was able to identify many plants,birds and animals. The trip to the reef was also great, Fortunately the sea was very calm, and our worries about being seasick were unfounded. The team on the boat were very professional and attentive, and we felt comfortable with them although not very strong swimmers. The food on the boat far exceeded our expectations. From coffee and pastries when we arrived, through a copious buffet lunch to fruit and cake during the return to Cairns. All was included in the price (except alcoholic drinks). The fish were exciting as well. Just beneath us as we snorkelled, there was a fishy world with the inhabitants going about their business totally oblivious to the swimmers on the surface. Darren collected us from our airbnb both days and delivered us back each evening.

  I'm pretty sure all tour guides are knowledgeable but Diego had facts upon facts. You can tell that he has been a guide for awhile but the MORE is that you can tell he enjoys what he does. That makes the tour more fun, interesting and personal. He works with your group to give what we need and not just keeping to a schedule or his itinerary. He also knows about the local area and can provide history/context. On top of that, his vehicle is VERY clean and upholds COVID guidelines. 1000% satisfied.

  "Professional, Knowledgeable, Personable, and Caring" would be how I describe our tour guide Ms.Yuko S. My family and I (six persons all together) were very happy with her. She went above and beyond to make sure that we get to see everything on our itinerary. We asked her to modify our tour and there was no problem there at all. All you have to do just ask her. We asked her to book our taxi for us to go to a ski resort for the next couple days, done! I would highly recommend Ms. Yuko S.

  From being in touch, to providing us a hands on experience, Tom led us thru an amazing day in Skagway Alaska. We covered a lot of ground but lingered in areas that were spellbinding. Photo tricks, feeling the nature and his love for it, made a day etched in our memories forever. Who gets to drink pure glacial water at a waterfall or eat wild blueberries? We did!! Who had reflective lake photos? We did!! It is an honor for our group of 4 to rate Tom as an outstanding, warm personal guide. Thanks so much Tom. As a side note, we purchased the excursion June 9th 2019, and experienced this great tour on Oct. 3rd. 2019. We were the last ship of the cruise season and really enjoyed our day.
