  Gustavo was super amazing. His English was well understood, history was informative, conversations were natural, allowed us to decide the days super plan based on the weather, and he guided us in supporting the local economy through vendors. We shared each other's cultures through photos and stories over coffee and lunch. Muchisimas Gracias Amigo!!!

  My wife and I enjoyed a 5 hour walking/driving tour of the Medina with Noura E. She was careful to tailor our time and to get the balance right for newcomers to Marrakech - just the right amount of walking and just the right amount of information. We felt we had got a real sense of the city, it's history, and its people. Really helpful and a great experience. Many thanks Noura E!

  Elizabeth is a wonderful and very knowledgeable guide. Everyplace she led us was exceptional... from hummingbirds to butterflies to orchids, and an amazing lunch, we were so thrilled what we experienced. We also learned so much about Ecuadorian culture and daily life. If you're looking for a local expert in eco-tourism, book Elizabeth for your next adventure.

  We had the most incredible day with Anjal. She is very knowledgeable, kind and great company. We explored the fantastic Unesco sites & sampled so many delicious local street foods, we would never have found without her inside knowledge. She knew we were keen to try authentic foods so took us to some real hidden gems. It was such a brilliant day! If you love seeing anazing historical sights and trying the best local foods, this trip is an absolute must! Cannot recommend Anjal and this trip highly enough. Outstanding!!

  We had a wonderful day with Pai! She is very kind, informative, and really knows her stuff. Pai was great at answering all our questions about Thai culture and religion, and we really enjoyed getting to know her. Pai also took us to some great food spots in Phuket which was a highlight for us. We are so glad we got a guide for this, and Pai was great at recommending specific dishes which we would never have found by ourselves but we really enjoyed! Thank you Pai.

  Our tour with Rafael was the highlight of our trip!!! Not only was he so informative and passionate about beautiful Cartagena, he was also super engaging and always asking us questions. Everyone in the city new him and we felt honored to be walking around with him. He took us to every attraction we wanted to see and more. I 10000% recommend Rafael for a tour!!   Betty is a fabulous guide and I would highly recommend her tour. This was our second visit to San Miguel and we had seen many of the main attractions. Betty showed us areas where we never would've known to look and we learned so much. We also appreciated how she customized the tour for us by showing us public art, murals and galleries that we wanted to emphasize. Her personal story of her time in San Miguel is also fascinating!

  Highly Recommended! Chansay (Laos Guide) was an excellent guide providing an itinerary and personalised service for my wife and I. Kind, well mannered, organised and clear with his communications both before and during the trip, we had a wonderful time in Laos thanks to him! He was knowledgeable when we asked lots of questions, provided personal recommendations which were all excellent and arranged for us to see the most of Laos we could in our short time there.   Tomás met with us in person at our hotel the day before our trip to accommodate our last-minute request to add two additional travelers and to alter the itinerary by omitting one stop. Our actual guide, Luis Mendoza, was an excellent guide to Zapotec culture. He spoke from personal experience about the Tlacolula Sunday market and his role as a citizen of Teotilán del Valle. He even followed up by sending us the link to a "Vogue" magazine article about the candlemaker Doña Viviana Alávez.

  Setsuko was amazing! Not only knowledgeable about our sake tour but helped us to better understand Japanese culture. Things you don't normally know about. She researches your requests before hand to ensure that she meets your needs. Not just looks up information but actually goes to the location. We've made a true friend in Setsuko and highly recommended her! Much aloha to Setsuko!

  Our tour with Danny was awesome! He confirmed the activities we were most interested in, then tailored the tour to our interests.   We learned so much on this tour - history, culture, lifestyle, politics, wine. Fabian is a great guide! Smart, curious, informed, funny. Our time with him zoomed by. Highly highly recommend!! (Fabian recommended a wine shop where we bought some fabulous Uruguayan wine. Never know these places without the insights of an in-the-know local).

  Carlos was the best and excellent guide. He took us in his car. Very knowledgeable and focussed on what we wanted to see and explore and gave his suggestions. He did not hurry us up and was very friendly and patient. He knew the timings of when to be at tourist spots e.g opening and closing of Panamá canal so we did not waste time just waiting. He went beyond what he was expected to show us and also took us to interesting locations once he knew our taste. Carlos was very professional, on time for picking us up from our hotel and overall it was a fantastic experience; thanks to our local tour guide Carlos. Will be recommending his name to all our family and friends who will be coming to Panamá on a holiday.   We had limited time in Guanajuato, so we hired Susana to show us the sights. She even customized the tour, taking into consideration our personal interests. She was a delightful tour guide and gave us suggestions for other things to do and dinner that evening. We came away from the tour with an appreciation for the city and its residents. This tour was one of the highlights of our two-week visit to Mexico City, San Miguel de Allende and then Guanajuato.

  This was an excellent tour and Jorge was the best. He shared so much information, things you wouldn't have experienced on your own. He really took our interests to heart and made sure we saw the items on our wish list. We never felt rushed and the tour lasted longer than we expected. I can't recommend Jorge enough. He was so good we hired him again the next day for hiking tours.

  We loved our tours with Bee and Chansay, and both our drivers as well. Both were incredibly knowledgeable about their Country and the surrounding areas, and both were very enthusiastic and enjoyable to be around while we explored Laos. Both had great suggestions for things to see and do, that weren’t on our itinerary, and for where to eat.   Peaches S was guide to myself and my wife for two days in Bangkok using public transport. We would highly recommend her. She speaks excellent english and is very knowledgeable. She listened carefully to our preferences for touring such a vast city and adapted the itinerary with ease. We saw the main sights but the main focus was on the non-tourist sides of bangkok and seeing normal thai life and greener areas. We ate some great street food too. We were so happy with our choice of guide. Thank you Peaches.

  Our tour with Juan Pablo was wonderful. We managed to hike into the lake, kayak and ride on the mules back to the top before the clouds descended and the rain fell! Lunch at the top in a small resteraunt was the perfect introduction to typical Ecuadorian cuisine.Throughout the whole day we learned about the area volcanoes and about Ecuador. We had a brief stop in Tigua (had we stayed any longer we would have been caught in the downpor at Quilotoa!) and a glimpse of Cotopaxi.

  We had a very enjoyable day with Gustavo on our full day Mindo tour. We started with a cable car ride across a gorge to walk though a cloud forest to a pretty waterfall. Gustavo was very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna we saw on our hike. Our tour of a chocolate “factory” was very informative as were the stops at the Middle of the World - both locations. We even managed to squeeze in a stops at a hummingbird garden. A very full day. Gustavo was very responsive and easy to communicate with prior to our trip so we could customize to our preferences.

  Raul and the tour were both exceptional. Raul listened closely to our interests and customized the tour to meet them. Raul is very knowledgeable about the birds and flora, and took us to an additional natural area with a specialist guide. The Celestun tour was a remarkable experience. Raul has the natural ability to engage and be engaging. We are very glad we chose this tour and chose to go with Raul.

  Jorge gave me a fantastic tour of San Jose, Costa Rica! We walked the city and he carefully explained and answered all my questions regarding Costa Rica's culture, history, politics, archaeology, and coffee! He also customized the tour to my interests. I told him about my background and interests., and he was able to make stops specific to those. I am looking forward to returning to San Jose next year with my family and hiring Jorge again!

  We loved our day out with Raul! He was a terrific guide with so much knowledge to share and enrich the tour experience with. Best of all, Raul is kind and warm with a good sense of humour and a passion for his work. We found him so easy to spend the day with and could've continued on our conversation with him for many more hours! His tour package was perfect for us and exactly as advertised. He is an excellent driver as well with a very comfortable vehicle. We honestly cannot say enough good about Raul.

  WOW !!!! What can I say to describe this amazing tour and FANTASTIC guide It s over over over my expectations !! Elier know everything and see everything day and night...under sun rain or clouds Birds ( Quetzas ) nests, frog, insects, animals, flowers, mushrooms, tarentulas trees, plants, He is a real and qualified naturalist guide!   I spent a fantastic day with Guillermo. My main targets were the Laurel Pigeon and Gran Canaria Blue Chaffinch and he found quickly both species and we had great view of the birds. Guillermo also showed me a lot of other birds like Barbary Falcon, Trumpeter Finch, Tits, Robins, etc, it was amazing ! Not only Guillermo is a fantastic birding guide but he also has a very deep knowledge about the islands : plants, geology, history, culture. I highly recommend booking a tour with him.

  What a wonderful day full day spent with Louise exploring greater Auckland despite dodging Cyclone Hale. A little rain wasn't going to keep Louise from being flexible in planning our adventures. We found Louise to be engaging and egger to show us the wonderful elements of Auckland that you just don't experience by walking downtown by the marine terminal. She took the time to put what we were seeing, and questions being asked into context. We had genuine fun. You are in very capable and safe hands.

  Gaby was phenomenal! Gaby took us to Tierra Del Fuego which included the post office and many Beautiful scenic stops along the way inside the park as well as in The city. She gave us a very detailed tour and pointed out lots of birds, trees and fauna. She speaks great English and very personable and funny! We were a party of 4 and we all loved our time with Gaby and the tour she gave us and would recommend it to anyone.

  Having a day to kill between coming off a cruise and our overnight flight back to the UK, we hired Martin to give us the Miami and Everglades tour. He met us (and our luggage) at the boat terminal and took us on a great tour of South Beach, Little Havana, a fabulous Cuban "fast food" restaurant, Coral Bay and the Everglades, before dropping us off at the airport. He was full of interesting, quirky knowledge (historical, architectural and current) - thoroughly recommended.

  his excursion was certainly a big highlight of our time in Argentina. We had it all: penguins, orcas, sea lions, guanacos, rheas. Alex was always obliging through the tour to stop for pictures etc. A more than adequate lunch box was provided. Can highly recommend if you have one day in Puerto Madryn that you do this tour with Alex.

  Tomie was the perfect guide for our day trip to Hakone! She was very prepared, printing out an itinerary (with transportation times for each of our rides!) for the day. She imbued wonderful insight into the history, culture, and importance of the Hakone sites, and also taught us about current culturally important Japanese holiday traditions. These small touches made not just the day, but our entire trip to Japan so much more meaningful. My husband and I had such a wonderful day with her!

  I couldn't have expected such a wonderful day. Giorgio arrived early, he was kind, attentive, generous. He was simultaneously fascinating, informative, witty. I don't have words to describe his professionalism and talent. He is an intelligent, educated, informed young man. If you get Giorgio for your tour, count your blessings! His uniqueness likely stems from the fact that he, himself, is well travelled, so is culturally sophisticated. Wow. I wish had better words to describe this day/guide.

  Wonderful Civil Rights and Women's Suffrage tour. Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. He loves his hometown Nashville and it shows. He recounted a number of historical anecdotes with which we were unfamiliar. He was personable and entertaining. We throughly enjoyed our time with him and learned a great deal about Nashville. A fabulous outstanding guide!

  My husband and I spent a wonderful afternoon with Elton. Our visit to Shete Boke National Park was amazing, with beautiful walks and extraordinary sites where the power of the ocean literally took our breath away. Elton then took us to Fisherman's Beach which was uncrowded and where we snorkeled with a family (or pod) of graceful turtles as well as some magnificent fish. To cap off the afternoon, we saw goats, flamingoes, and amazing vistas and viewpoints. Elton is a charming guide and we enjoyed every minute.

  Mirabel is an amazing guide. She was very accommodating to help us set up this tour. Our family recommends it very highly. Our adult 20-something son was skeptical at first but has since said, it was a highlight for him. The Limestone Heritage Park is a wonderful tour - different from so many others - that explains much about the architecture you see on the islands. The experience was unique and all the best ways. Mirabel is incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and helpful.

  SUCH an amazing experience. Audwin is a wealth of knowledge and created an entirely customized/personalized tour for me based on the list of places I requested, as well as included some new ones that were amazing to experience. His choice of lodges to stay were a wonderful addition as well and really made the trip such a special//one of a kind journey for me. HIGHLY recommend Audwin for any tours!

  We had an awesome experience with Miyuki and highly recommend her. She is very knowledgeable and articulate, patient and flexible, kind and fun. My family and I had a pleasant and interesting time with her and we learned so much on our two days of touring the Christian sites in and out of the city.   Salvador Bahia will always have a special place in my heart. As a Yoruba man from Nigeria, I'd heard of the rich African heritage that is everywhere in Salvador, so I was excited about this trip. Sayuri gave a comprehensive tour that was fun, educational, and did not feel rushed. From the food to the Iemanjá house to the Candomble house and the exhibits of the Orixas, I really felt connected to my African heritage on this tour and I can't wait to share this experience with my friends.   We had a wonderful tour today with Eddie as our guide. We felt safe, relaxed and very well informed about Washington both its historic and current political practices and infrastructure. I recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore the 4 main points of interest into Americas founding landmarks. You cannot do this on foot and will find it difficult to park your car long enough to explore each landmark.   Luis is 5+ star guide. His knowledge of local history is great. He provided an excellent walking tour of the historic centre of Guadalajara.   This was the first time I ever booked a private tour, and it was well worth the splurge. I was a solo traveler and a bit apprehensive about spends two hours with a stranger.   We had a 3 hour tour with Joan in Boston and it was great. Joan drove us to all the top sites and helped us get a feel for the history and layout of the city. Joan was very knowledgeable, friendly, and easy going. We really liked how she was able to use a tablet to show us before and after photos of Boston - including how the city streets were changed when the underground was put in as well as historical sites. This tour was worth the cost for us! We used the Tours by Local site and it worked like a charm. We will be using it again.

  I am so happy I booked Ruby for two tours while we visited Montreal with our three young adult children (21, 21 & 19). Our private food tour was awesome! She got us into all of the famous places without waiting in line, or getting lost, customized it to our tastes, and took us to some hidden gems we would have never found on our own.   I had a great trip with Tom. He guided me around the main historical and tourist areas and taught me so much about Taiwan's political and cultural past and present. We travelled in his van and on the MRT.   We had the most wonderful tours with Paulina. Scheduled two days with her when we had an overnight stay in Cartagena on our Celebrity cruise. She collected all 7 of us with no issues in a big, cool, clean mini-bus. The driver was great. She took us to everything we had scheduled to see, and more. Her knowledge of the area was fantastic!   Jon was AMAZING! Well versed in all things 'off the beaten path'. He spent time talking to us prior to beginning our tour and was able to tailor the perfect tour for us.   We would highly recommend a private tour with Andrea throughout Lofoten Islands. Andrea made sure we saw as much as we could with the limited daylight we had, taking us to several different places, seeing a variety of different mountains, beaches, villages, churches and other areas while explaining the history and significance of each place. There was a tray of local delicacies that he had prepared for lunch which was really nice. It was a perfect day out and we were thrilled with the tour and Andrea.

  Our tour with Elton was really great. He is knowledgable and passionate about the local area being born and bred there. Great to have a personal guide and not expensive (especially if there is a few of you). We net Elton at the statue by Rif Fort which was easy to find after walking off our cruise ship and the tour was approx 2 hours. Highly recommend this over the expensive cruise organised tours.

  Our day with Ted was just wonderful! Ted was waiting for us on time (actually early, as our ship was early) exactly where he said he would be. He was warm and funny and a joy to spend the day with! The tour is much more than in the written description and is a good mix of walking and driving. We learned SO much about the island and the people of Antigua along the way. Ted showed us things and got us tasty local treats that we never could have experienced any other way. We highly recommend a day with Ted!

  Maria Elena led my wife and I through downtown Cabo San Lucas on a wonderful evening of food and history, we loved every minute of it! We visited taco restaurants, elotes/esquites stand, sidewalk tamales and atole, and tried tortas for the first time. While experiencing this wonderful food, Maria Elena gave us some introductory history on Mexico and the food we were eating. 10/10 tour, we would (will!) definitely do it again. My only regret is not doing it earlier during our stay in Los Cabos.

  Vincent was exceptionally knowledgeable! He was smart, enthusiastic and accommodating in every way. He gave us a perfect introduction to Panama - Panama City, canal by boat and the surrounding areas. We had an amazing day with Vincent, and his excellent driver, Suzy (who is also in training to be a guide)! I highly recommend him for any group.
