  Jens was amazing. Just the right balance between sharing his vast knowledge, answering our questions and just sitting back and gabbing with us. We got a great feel for the city but just as great of insight into its people. Highly recommend this tour with this person!!!!!!!!

  This walking tour of Ljubljana with our guide Stas was truly magnificent. She taught is so many things and took us to off the beaten track places...little hidden gems. She was generous with her time and the tour exceeded our expectations. The time my sister and I spent with Stas will be a positive, enduring memory of our first (but not the last) visit to Ljubljana. Highly recommended and particularly good for the start of a visit so you can make the most of any further time in this enchanting city.

  Neslihan was amazing and provided a fully customized tour of Istanbul. She is so knowledgeable of the history and politics of the region. I was amazed by how easily she navigates the city and was able to get us to all the places that we needed to go. She has such a great disposition and was so easy to chat with as we toured the wonderful city of Istanbul. Neslihan really made my trip and was able to give me tips/advice for the remainder of my stay within Turkey.

  We greatly enjoyed our full-day tour of the Isle of Skye with Jonny M.! He did a great job answering all our group's questions, making suggested stops and also picked a great spot for lunch!! He picked us up and dropped us off at our B&B and his roomy vehicle was clean and perfect for our group of 6. Well-informed guide I would highly recommend!

  Our multi-generational family absolutely loved hiking with Mel and I would highly recommend her without reservation. We are all so happy we picked this tour. I picked one of her shady, shorter hikes (still too difficult for anyone with mobility limits). She is thoughtful, easy-going, friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with our varying skill levels. It was a pleasure to be in her company and taking in the magical beauty of this forest and then eating an amazing lunch in the mountains. Hope to be back

  I booked Sue as a guide to accompany my sister and 82 year old mother around Bath for 2 hrs. Both have limited mobility. Sue met them at the train station and looked after them extremely well. She understood and responded to their needs perfectly. Both loved the tour; even though mum has visited Bath several times before, Sue showed her new sites. They describe Sue as knowledgeable, warm & friendly. The tour was 'superb'. In making arrangements, Sue was quick to respond and reassuring. Highly recommended!

  Bruno was an amazing guide. Spending the entire day with him touring the Duoro Valley was a highlight of our trip. We went to two small wonderful wineries, had a fabulous lunch, went on a boat ride on the Duoro River, and enjoyed the beautiful vistas throughout the Valley. I would highly recommend Bruno and plan to enlist his services again when I return next Spring.

  You cannot get a better guide than JP! We switched last minute to the Mindo Cloud Forest tour & JP was fine with it. He crafted an incredible day for us. We had hummingbirds sip nectar out of our hands & enjoyed local coffee by a serene river. The Butterfly Garden was amazing...JP was very patient as my wife wanted to linger there. We had an exceptional lunch at El Quetzal and then a chocolate tour. Save room for the brownie! The exotic birds came right up to where we were eating! Long day but worth it!

  Ted was very accommodating. He took into account the hills and the heat of the day. He was very patient when a toddler had to be dealt with in the middle of his explanations. Everyone in the group felt they learned a lot. He tailored the tour to the whole group and their interests.

  Mohamed was great to communicate with before during and after the tour. Even with our flight delayed, he kept us updated and was there waiting for us when we landed. The tour was great and he was very knowledgeable on the city and region and we learned a lot about Casablanca. We will definitely recommend our friends and family who are going to Morocco to reach out to Mohamed and we look forward to staying in touch and hope to see him on a future visit. Would recommend to anyone. Thanks Mohamed !!!

  Emma is a fantastic tour guide of San Sebastián. She is incredibly knowledgeable about architecture, food, history, wine, and the people of San Sebastián. My family was very pleased to spend a couple hours with her and highly recommend her as a guide.

  Wonderful tour! Giorgio was fantastic. It was great to get the perspective of a local. He introduced us to some of the locals. It was nice to be able to talk with them. I have a much deeper appreciation and understanding of Bari now. Wonderful memories to last a lifetime! Beautiful place and people!

  Una is both well informed and enthusiastic about the many interesting sights and cultural features of Copenhagen. Her experience as a teacher and easygoing demeanor made for a great experience during our six hour walking tour. We especially appreciated how Una customized the day to our prior knowledge of Copenhagen and our preferences for what we wanted to do.

  Our guide was fantastic. She accommodated our group's needs around time of the tour and where to meet. She told us about a lot of stuff we didn't know about and we ended up going back to one of the bars later where we had some samples.

  Bartolomeo is Awesome and he is Professional!! He communicated very well, kept us informed during the entire process. He drove us to our Village safety, that was off the beaten path. He helped us with Italian to English translation with a family cousin. Bartolomeo went the extra mile to help us get ping pong paddles during our travels. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Bartolomeo!!!! We will definitely use his professional service again in the future.

  Izabella is Great! She is extremely knowledgeable, well-organized, and easy to work with. For our tour, she helped us arrange transportation from the port of Gdynia. She showed us all the best sites of Gdansk while cleverly navigating the large crowds associated with the St. Dominic's fair. When we surprised her with a request for perogies and beer, she knew just the right place to go (and got us the best seats on the patio). We certainly got the most out of our trip to Gdansk with Izabella!

  Absolutely wonderful tour. Highly recommend Cristina. She has a deep knowledge of the history of the local area, so the walking tour was extremely interesting and educational. The lunch was also a great introduction to regional cuisine, and included a short tour of a museum that focuses on Yucatan food.

  We loved our tour with Safiye! She was great at adapting to our needs (stopping frequently for my teenagers to eat) while showing us all the major sights around her city. I loved having a local with me while I bargained at the bazaar, and it definitely helped having someone do the ordering for us at places to eat! Safiye is engaging and fun, and I felt like I left Türkiye with a new friend.

  We are very pleased with the personalized tour that Sebastian did for us, following the famous footsteps of our ancestor Adam Wiebe in Gdansk, and showing us where the Mennonites drained the Vistula lowlands and lived for several generations in the 17th and 18th centuries. Our ship was very late but Sebastian kindly stayed with us into the evening so that we were able to get the whole experience. We highly recommend Sebastian.

  We loved this tour, including our 3 teenagers! Joel & Kim took all the work out of our sunset volcano tour. They promptly met us at the visitor's center & took us to the best sites (local insiders!). They were informative, easy to be with, and lots of fun! They provided water and snacks and a lovely evening. Thanks so much - a highlight of our Hawaii trip!

  My husband and I had a wonderful experience on the "Giants Causeway Full Day Private tour". Both my husband and I were so impressed with Gerard's knowledge of the area as well as the various places he took us in addition to the original itinerary. Having the private tour really allows you to experience the area as a local would and see places outside the standard tourist areas. I highly recommend this tour if you have the opportunity and ask for Gerard if he is available. You will not be disappointed!

  Aurels gave an excellent tour of the city - I'm now well oriented to Riga's primary attractions (I have musuems to visit while in town) and have a sense of Latvian history, which I did not have before. I would highly recommend Aurels!

  What a wonderful tour! Allyson was a pleasure and so knowledgeable about the food, culture, and history of beautiful Guayaquil! I requested a custom tour that was food-centric and Allyson was quick to accommodate. We visited a local food market, Mercado de sauces, (unbelievable ceviche!), did a chocolate tasting with Artist/artisan chocolatier Patricia Leon (incredible, unique experience!), and toured the parks and river walk of Guayaquil. I highly recommend Allyson and cannot wait to return to Ecuador!

  We had a wonderful tour with Christian! He is not only knowledgeable about Boston in general but also the history of the city. We enjoyed all the historical background stories that he shared. The tour flew by, we appreciated riding & getting out to show us certain monuments or areas of interest. Very relaxed tour with plenty of time to ask questions & get the low down on where to go back & check out further later.

  Without question, I would rate Peter Long as one of the best guides we have ever had - rating 5 out of 5. Being a world traveler myself and a Travel Advisor with over 20 years of experience, I very much appreciated his detailed knowledge of Cornwall's geography, history, culture, film and TV programs, literature, natural beauty and all things Cornish. His tour was like becoming more of a "local" than a tourist, with suggestions on attractions "off the beaten path," dining in quaint country pubs, tasting Cornish food specialties, sampling great craft beers and wines, recouting legends and histories and having many interesting conversations along the way. With a curiosity for finding out what you wanted to experience in the region and customizing your tour accordingly, I would highly recommend him to single travelers, couples, seniors and families wanting a more personalized tour of Cornwall.

  I highly recommend a Johannesburg tour with Thabelo. So happy to have found him through Tours by Locals, reasonably priced, clean and comfortable vehicle. We had plans to customize our tour, yet we were so pleased that Thabelo gently redirected us.   We would highly recommend this company and Flora. We booked last minute and one of us had a sprained ankle so we were unable to hike the Game of Thrones stairs. However, Flora was able to customize the itinerary and accommodate our family of 4 - two 40s and two teens. Flora did an excellent job steering the tour to our interests, stopping for gelato for the teens, and showing us lovely small towns we would have missed on our own. We've used tour guides around the world and Flora is among the best.

  Our family of 3 had an exceptional 3 day private tour of Bangkok with Jay. At every step, Jay was a clear and thoughtful partner in showing us the Bangkok region. We had three busy days that included the major temples, markets, local dining and shopping. Jay is passionate about her job and is a deep font of information about Thai culture and history. Jay was also helpful in securing a high quality tailor for a significant custom fitted order of mens wear. We can not recommend her any more highly.

  Not having much time in the area my family and I felt it was best to leave the "sightseeing" to an expert, and Kevin was just that. From the moment he picked us up in a very clean and spacious van Kevin was personable and knowledgeable. While he did keep us on a "schedule" so we could experience all the best of the area he also offered us time and pointers to stay as long as we wanted in any of our stops. Thank you Kevin, you made our vacation more memorable, you cannot put a price tag on memories!

  Booking was straightforward with friendly and responsive communication whenever needed from the time of our booking through meeting up with our guide. Changes were made to our schedule and what I was concerned would be confusing, wound up a simple matter of a friendly, personal and easy communication. Greg was absolutely amazing. More than just a guide, he was informative, beyond helpful, and quickly turned from guide to friend. We ran into some serious hiccups and he went far above the level of 'guide' to help us get our trip back on track as well as to assure that our adventure with him was full, complete and at many times, awe inspiring. If he is a consideration for your trip, do not miss this opportunity to experience and explore Alaska with a more personal and in depth adventure under his care.

  Michael was a terrific guide! From the start he had us on the road quickly to Blarney Castle, and almost no line up to kiss the stone, which meant more time to explore the grounds. We then made a special stop at the church where an Irish ancestor of three generations from our group had been baptized. Michael also pointed out which neighborhood he was likely to have lived in. His knowledge of the area, and ability to add something so personally important to an already wonderful tour meant the world to us.

  Hello I'd like to leave a review for Bridgette who gave my family a d-day beaches tour. The tour was wonderful. Bridgette knew many little aspects of the war and shared them with us which was very interesting. I would highly recommend to others to use her as a guide for their trip. 5 stars

  My husband and I had the absolute best day with Valdemar! He was so knowledgeable, professional, and responsive to the kind of experience we were looking for. Valdemar ensured we had the most fun day exploring all of the beauty Madeira has to offer. His passion for the island shone through which enhanced our experience.   Felicia created an itinerary that covered numerous landmarks, historical areas, markets, and museums. It was comprehensive and was exactly what I was looking for. We walked around Toronto for more than 7 hours! It was excellent.

  We would highly recommend the treasure hunt tour! It kept our boys' interest (ages 4 and 6), and they thought following the compass was fun! Great photo ops, and Michael was very knowledgeable and accommodating! Well planned tour.

  Andre led our family of 3 adults and 3 kids (10, 12, 14) on a walking tour of Lucerne on a sparklingly beautiful summer morning. Andre brought us to gorgeous places and the historical information he shared was understood and appreciated by all; he was able to answer all questions. He is a father of young kids himself and was very engaging, and also kind and thoughtful about snack and bathroom rests. We quizzed our kids after the tour and they nailed it - Andre held their attention so well. Thank you!

  I highly recommend Liam and this tour! Liam is so knowledgeable about Irish history and the history of this beautiful city. Liam is friendly, funny, and has a deep passion for his Irish heritage! My family and I had a fantastic time on this tour!

  We did a half day tour of Bilbao with Flora and it was amazing. She was extremely knowledgeable of the city and architecture and was able to distill the info in an easy to understand way. She also showed us all the local spots for pinxos and vino which we've been going to everyday. If you want to get a feel for the history and what the locals do I would highly recommend this short walking tour with Flora!

  Our 2 day private tour was excellent. From the moment Sopheak picked us up from our hotel I knew it was going to be a great 2 days. We were so pleased to been of his first clients in over 2 years as Cambodia had just reopened post COVID. Sopheak was friendly, professional, engaging and incredibly knowledgeable about all things Cambodia which are all the qualities necessary for a great guide. I would not hesitate in recommending Sopheak.

  DATE: Jun 30, 2022 TAKE THIS TOUR! Paudie is a tremendous guide and a local who knows the story behind every building and point of interest. The Ring of Skellig had incredible views similar to the Cliffs of Moher, and with no tour buses anywhere in site. The Chocolate Factory was a delight as well. We opted for the sheep dog demonstration and it was terrific. Paudie knows all the out of the way places with few tourists but great views and history. 10 out of 10!

  We had a fabulous day with with Varol who was on time, considerate, fun, and a very good planner. We had an extended day with Niagara Falls and Toronto as well as Niagara on the Lake. We felt like family by the end of the day. I would definitely recommend him.

  Pablo was such an impressive guide. He was knowledgeable & thorough in giving us the history behind all the major monuments & went out of his way to help us capture the best angles for photographs. The views were stunning. We came as a celebratory trip for my nephew's 8th grade graduation, & I was blown away by the quality of our tour. He was kind, hospitable, & gracious in providing a customized opportunity for us. A bucket list experience. It was hands-down the most memorable part of our trip.

  Ally B. Was the perfect host. He wore his Macbeth clan tartan which really made us feel so special. He added a stop at Royal To enact golf course to our itinerary so we could purchase some memorabilia. Our tour of Dunrobin Castle was spectacular. Ally provided tons of local and cultural information to us and was happy to answer our questions. It was a memorable day.

  Irina was an outstanding guide of Antwerp - really one of the best I've ever come across. She was clear, thorough and always interesting - all with just the right amount of wit. She added so much to our understanding not only of Antwerp, but of Belgium as a whole. I feel like we asked all the questions that we had saved up about the country, and she handled them all deftly and with perfect English. Her command of English idiomatic expressions for a non-native speaker was extraordinary. She also understood perfectly our particular needs and how to incorporate that into the most interesting tour. We happened upon Irina and are so thankful that we did.

  Mark was amazing! We arrived via a cruise ship and had no idea when we would be let off. He was patient and was at the dock when we finally emerged. He was knowledgeable, friendly, safe driver, and a pleasure to be with while we "had" him. What an amazing place with such human historical value. Mark even taught us about more recent WWII history with the Churchill Walls and the Italian POWs. Thank you, for a wonderful and insightful tour!

  Oliver picked us up at the port in a large Mercedes van. He was very personable and loved to share his knowledge about the history of the region. I didn't know which tour to pick and he recommended this one and it was excellent. First we visited a small beach between some cliffs in La Ciotot which was beautiful. He stopped at a church on top of a cliff with an excellent panoramic view. Stopped at the National park for a great view on the way Cassis. I highly recommend the boat tour in Cassis.

  This was THE BEST tours we have EVER taken! From when Sasha (our guide) picked us up to when he dropped us back off, he made sure we had a fantastic time! He took us to great places that you would not visit on a cookie cutter tour. One of the members of our group uses a wheelchair and this was no problem for Sasha and his tour! He made sure that the experience was great for all of us! We had a wonderful lunch at La Voglia, folowing up with Angea Nice for dessert! Yum! RUN, not walk, to sign up for this tour!

  Our tour was amazing!! Our guide, Nesime, was so knowledgeable and wove a fantastic and interesting tale for us which enhanced each stop we made. A magical history lesson. Her English is very good and easy to understand. We sampled Ottoman cuisine (which was very flavorful!). Wonderful all around!

  Ray arrived early, van very clean & comfortable for trip from Limerick - Galway. Friendly & accommodating re: specific requests. He went above & beyond in coordinating with a Burren Ntl. Park Guide to bring us (and the guide too!) to the trailhead vs waiting for the park shuttle bus. His recommended entry point to Cliffs of Moher - much better than the one at the Visitor's Centre. Expensive trip but we had exactly the day we wanted without worry about driving & Ray added local info. Highly recommend!

  More than just a tour of Pompeii, Dario offered a keen, insightful and highly informative instruction on Roman society and its broader impacts on civilization of that time. His knowledge of the small details, such as of building materials and engineering techniques, made the ruins come alive.   We booked the Jerusalem tour with Gary. And we didn't regretted it at all. In fact it was the best tour I got thru Jerusalem.   Ruby's 7-hr walking tour is the ideal intro to Montreal, showing you so much more than the typical tourist sites. We had a delightful day walking, riding bus and metro, exploring neighborhoods, learning about history and architecture as we went. We explored the underground city, admired the wide variety of public art, had a picnic at the Jean Talon Market. Ruby cheerfully customized our tour for us, and she left us with practical tips to further explore Montreal on our own. So much fun! Ruby's the best!

  You have not been to Olympia until you have Elena show it to you. Very informative and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Greece. She was prompt and organized. The bee farm was a great addition to the tour. We were also very fortunate to have an incredible lunch at a local restaurant ( no tourist). Would definitely recommend her!!!

  We had a wonderful tour of Bordeaux with Stephanie- we feel very lucky to have had her as our tour guide- she brought the city to life for us. We were a family group with youngsters (which brings its own challenges) and Stephanie had us all fascinated. We learned so much and loved the inside information.   Beautiful, relaxing tour led by Kathy S. Very professional and easy from the initial inquiry through the drop off at my ship. Professional driver was excellent and the vehicle was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful drive to Cassis coupled with gorgeous views. We opted to take the boat ride through the Calanques (wonderful!) and then had a lovely picnic lunch on the cliffs. A delightful, relaxing, low key excursion on an otherwise hectic cruise.

  My husband and I booked Greg for the Icefields Discovery Tour. The weather was not perfect but the tour absolutely was! Greg picked us up downtown Banff and stopped at all the most scenic spots on our way to and from the icefields. Banff National Park is amazingly beautiful, and having a guide who knows and loves the park as much as Greg does made the experience so much better. We saw and learned so much and hope to return one day to join Greg on some guided hikes. Know it would be amazing!!

  When Neil showed up in matching Harris tweed vest and jacket we knew it was going to be a great day. Previous to the trip Neil communicated well about trip expectations and on the trip he provided informed historical, cultural facts and lore. Neil was mindful of any physical limitations and careful to respond time wise to our interests at different locations. He went above and beyond to inform us about our stay in Portree. We now can claim to have a Scottish friend.

  Our tour with Bianca was EXCEPTIONAL. She provided an incredible overview of Old Town walking us through so many interesting streets, all the time sharing the history and context.   This is an exceptional tour by Luis to an extraordinary magical Meican town, which is full of life, color and great history. Even it's on high elevation, one won't feel any difference as it were on the ground. Great introduction to magical towns. Combining natural and preserve old town characteristics, and Lui's thorough guide, this tour is a must if you're in Guadalajara.... highly recommended.

  We recently spent time in Spain, and had a wonderful private tour to the Alhambra in Granada with our guide, Federico Abril. He was extremely knowledgeable, and imparted to us many amazing facts that we wouldn't otherwise have learned. Not only did he make our tour special, he made sure we were out of the sun before he started to talk to us. As a group of seniors, that was very much appreciated. He also took us to one of his favorite restaurants, where we enjoyed a fabulous lunch!

  Boat Tour with Philippe Our family of 3 all agree that this tour was a highlight of our time in the Mediterranean! What an amazing, relaxing, and beautiful way to experience the French Riviera. Philippe had excellent communication pre-trip and made us feel comfortable right away. He is extremely competent, kind and easy to be with. We saw many beautiful, important, historic sites during our 2 weeks in the Mediterranean, but I was happiest on this boat tour with Philippe!

  Bruno was an excellent guide for the Douro Valley. Being that he grew up there, he had first hand knowledge of the history. He communicated very clearly and provided so much information about the Douro Valley. We loved the winery we toured, the owner was so sweet and the wines were delicious. The restaurant for lunch had a stunning view and the food was delicious. I would book this tour again without hesitation

  Simona was excellent! From the very first email message to the very last goodbye, she was professional, kind, and respectful. Our group of 12 sailed the Baltic Sea on a cruise and she prepared a custom tour of Stockholm after asking what our preferences was. Her ability to speak four languages allowed the tour to be in Spanish. A rainy day didn't stop of us from enjoying the city since Simona suggested other options to account for it. She was great and I highly recommend her!

  We had a fantastic private tour with Natalie. She was delightful, like being with an old friend. Natalie was very knowledgeable and had many stories to tell (all true, of course!). She stopped and bought us chocolates to enjoy, and we tried some local Bruges beer. She gave us ideas for our next day in Bruges and discussed restaurants. It was a perfect day and we were so happy to be with Natalie.

  We were a group of four from the cruise ship Azamara. Apparently we were the first cruise ship to visit Casablanca post Covid. We were collected by Issam and our driver at the gate to the port and so began an amazing and very informative visit to the fascinating city of Casablanca. We enjoyed coffee on the Corniche, a visit to the mosque, a stroll through the ancient markets, lunch at Rick's, a tour through the cathedral, and samples of the local fare from market stalls. Issam was a wonderful host.

  Felicia gave us excellent tours of Pompeii and Herculaneum, two hours each. We were travelling with our granddaughter so we opted for the two hours visits. Felicia's knowledge of these sites is second to none and she guided us efficiently, even leap frogging larger groups in a few cases. the lunch stop was short and sweet at an food court with tasty sandwiches, refreshing drinks and shade! Felicia suggested we use her driver and this was a great option and Vincenzo provided some dining tips for Sorento.
