  Been dealing with Matt, Paul and Andy for a while now, most of my whole life. I have to say the best environment, best prices and most knowledgeable in and around the NYC. Never mind high-treet top-dollar Shops, If it's something actually worth using in the out doors you'll find it for sale at Al super store 4 less at the best price. A must for photography fans best price on real Pentax 645Z dslr not the knockoffs sold elsewhere.

  I've bought online and at the store now and have always had a good experience.   I'm anti-big box stores in order to support locally run small unicorns but unfortunately this place has alluded otherwise. I previously dropped off my rangefinder lenses for cleaning and purchased attendant accessories from this place. I asked for a still housing that would be a good workhorse undersea submarine that would withstand abuses of a sweeping Hurricane. He recommended a waterproofing with a weather-sealing substrate that ended up exposing underneath to water within the first usage. I brought it in to try and see what could be done considering my previous dealings and their esteemed status with brands like Nikon. They exhibited zero compassioon for the scenario I stemming from their mistake. In addition they held on to the camera for months without notifying me of it's status until I had to phone and walk the man on the phone through how to retrieve my records from their own servers. This place saddens me, go to 42nd Photo or just call B and H photo for excellent service.

  I traded in my old Nikon film camera lured by their promise over the phone they would let me walk away with a Nikon Z 6. The camera they gave me was defective.The Z mount had distinct signs of wear and failed to sync in the camera perfectly. After two weeks of use the camera itself stopped working. Then after dropping it one time the entire system electronics shattered off and broke. Wishing the products they sell and overcharge for were better quality. Not mad about the deal I made only disheartened about the fact I was tricked with misadventure. Maybe they should know more about their obligations before they renege a clear action they undertake.

  Poor communication after the last purchase i made, and only after several enquiries from my end, I am informed that the goods are not known when they will be delivered to me for the UPS gridlock. Given that there is not only USPS but dozens of other carriers, the Super Store could not have informed me before? I would have paid cash on delivery or I would not have bought the goods. The money was immediately received but when will I see the goods paid?

  I award 2 stars with deep conviction that they wanted to escape part of their bargain. This all started with negligent or fraudulent misrepresentations of brands. When i purchased my binoculars, we compared a variety in detail. Not once did the man explain to me anything about anti-fog eye pieces. My bins fell prey to nuisance of external fogging in high humidity conditions. Calling after 2 days on the phone with the optics support people, they told me it needed to be insulated . The eye-piece didnt come with the binoculars because it was used. When i emailed this store the associate claimed an extra $100 before parting with the eyepiece. Vehemently, I turned this invitation down with an adverse counteroffer. Then he got all saying telling me how he gave me a folding knife when he really should have charged me. I'm not obsequiously soliciting for favors in a commercial environment as this is not a foster care home or CHARITABLE ORG, THEY COULD DISH OUT THE ENTIRE STORE! I will never purchase an item from this FLY-BY-NIGHT store again ! These reviews are misleading !

  AVOID SUPER STORE WITH FILM LIKE COVID-19 PLAGUE. KEEP MASK ON AND KEEP SOCIAL DISTANCE FROM THESE PEOPLE. I brought back my film for correction and he even denies I was there. He got off tangent about coarseness when the useless and expensive reshaping has made the files almost imperceptibly small. Grains are produced, you should know, when you sprawl out, and not vice versa, especially when the discrepancies are minimal. I was there, and resizing an image takes seconds, as everyone who uses film labs knows well. Just click on resize image, write the size and you're done. Time needed about ten seconds. So what are we talking about? Furthermore, as I wrote, the copies that I then printed by others were those of the original files and not those resized by you. So nothing has to do with what you say: "he was able to do, without problems, only thanks to our preventive work". Instead, they showed that it was not necessary to treat them at all and they cost almost four times less, the same paper and size. Evidently, in answering me, she ignored this detail. I repeat that I printed the unmodified files. If then she calls "excellent professional work we have done" resize the images with a trivial command that is able to use even a novice child, without reason among other things, and speaks to me of non-existent grains, this confirms me in the decision never to return.

  Must-visit NY camera store for amateurs and professionals in photography and video. They sell all kinds of products related to the photography universe: cameras, lenses, tripods, batteries and other accessories. The staff is very knowledgeable about their merchandise, is overall honest and friendly. There are also second-hand lenses and cameras, at very interesting prices.   A one+stop place for all shopping related to photography and at well discounted prices. I recently bought my camera and lens from them and found their prices 50 dollars less than Amazon or any online stores. Their selection is wide and you will find all the accessories you need here. My only advice would be to just call and check the availability of the product before you go. The staff is courteous and attentive and service is good. Highly recommend it.

  You can find everything related to photography. I drop by for the pleasure of talking about lenses and cameras. But it's too expensive compared to the 42 photo webshop, which is where I buy. I asked for an Olympus lens that I was interested and the price difference was $65 and with respect to the second-hand LENSES somewhat cascaded and at exorbitant prices. The rest have higher prices you can imagine and more.

  I called them to check if they had waterproof stills n housings to pick up for a compact camera, and it can be picked up by my girlfriend (who passes by their shop). The associate did nothing but tell me to bring the camera without paying full attention to what i was saying. In the end I disarmed my anger with patience and waited for him to come out of the loop and listen to me. I asked him to simply confirm that he has a specific model, which I consulted on the manufacturer's website. In response I heard him asking surprised "Another employee can confirm the models models?". I said goodbye, hanged up and decided to buy it at another store. It is much more pleasant and practical for an independent retailer to listen a little and give you a solution instead of showing their arrogance.

A fan of photography since childhood, I started by buying a nice tripod at the Super Store 4 Less, later I engaged in selling and buying second-hand cameras and accessories. Today it has a three-floor store where presentations of the most prestigious photographic firms and their distributors are made. They have all the camera brands, all in abundance, they serve you with an unparalleled kindness, and they also continue with the sale of collectibles, digital cameras, lenses, antique pieces, strobes, etc. I, as an enthusiastic connoisseur, buy everything there and they advise me with true professionalism.   Took my camera in for a sensor cleanup. Gave me a date 3 days later that it would be ready. Rang the day before to check up on it, they said it would be ready that afternoon. Said I’d come in the following day To pick it up, arrived in the morning to say it wasn’t ready yet and to come back in half an hour, came back half an hour later and spent another 15-20 minutes waiting in store while they finished up and tested. I’m not sure what they did with it for 3 days. Having said that, the sensor came back clean with no dust or debris. Came with a print out test. Better than the job from K&M across the street.

  Decent collection of products available. however most of the staff do not have a clue about the scopes nor they can really differentiate types of scopes. they just look tech savvy but they aren't which is kinda weird. overall I did not end up buying a glass as I could not get much information nor the staff seemed interested to be invested in helping around. I expect at least one single person be there that knows stuff.

  Highly recommended! Located in an interior edge (you need to get parking space individually), Super Store 4 Less is something steeped in a no-frill concept, but different only for the better. There is no posh stuff, but a solid selection with several unique 35mm film cameras to test with the staff. It's a situation that may not put an amateur photographer like me at ease. Instead, as soon as he sat down, Emm immediately put me at ease and in a few minutes, with his advice and making me do tests, he clarified my ideas. The upshot: after a few minutes I came out with my new mirrorless, without the slightest doubt of having made a wrong decision. Great price and also a welcome unexpected gift. If all stores were like this, Amazon Bezos would close in a short time 😃 See you soon Courtney Breeze.

  Defining Super Store 4 Less as a shop for photographers would be deductive reasoning and peripheral.   Super Store for Less symbolizes a toytown camera shop and a temple for photography enthusiasts. There are new and used camera instruments, lenses, accessories etc. etc. The owner, Mr. Davies West, is very experienced and super passionate. Meeting him is a refreshing experience, he always manages to exude all his love for photography. But there is one aspect that makes Super Store unique: the community of photographers, enthusiasts, amateurs, professionals and non-professionals who make a beeline for this store keep it alive and vibrant. It is really a small cultural treasure trove in the city. If you love photography it is the place for you. I attach a few photos taken with a DsLr Hasselblad H6D-50c borrowed from them.

  Simply put, It’s a photographer's paradise. Arty-crafty shop nestled in a cove in downtown Ny. They have an awesome selection of cameras, more for prosumers and professionals.   I have been coming here for the last few years. I've purchased the majority of my camera lenses for traveler's photography, and no matter where I plan to upgrade, I always seem to favor this location as among some of the reliable places to find great quality camera equipment. Most staff shoots niches like Macro, but there always quick to make me feel comfortable as I speak Spanish, but make their best efforts to make my visit pleasurable .

  One of my good friends recommended going to Super Store 4 Less to look for latest photography gear. I decided to go and they rolled the red carpet with help and smiles. In the beginning I was a bit uncertain as to whether I was actually at the right place as they are loaded with scopes of all sorts, but one which is very quiet - or at least it was when I visited. The ambiance is super quiet too, but the staff assured me it sometimes gets very busy and I just chose a good time to visit. If you're in the film or photo industry and looking to purchase or rent gear, I highly recommend these guys. Knowledgeable staff, neat store, all sorts of cool gear - WOW! As with their name the store stocks full-blown kits, lighting equipment for film and photography. However, you are able to source other gear through them such as camera bodies and lenses. I'll definitely be making this my FAVORITE each time I'd like to spot some new lighting or upgrade mine. Highly recommended.

  This is my first time visiting a camera shop to buy accessories for my camera. All I can say is the guys that served my (I think his name was Emm), is that they showed true penchant for photography. They were completely honest in that I am better to stay with my current Sony FE 90mm for the tack sharp focus on the most minuscule of details. . I then explained I love to take photos of Sun's layers, especially it's epidermal Corona and want to get into observational astronomy. They showed me some options on solar telescopes and binoculars without pressuring me into making any purchase at all. I had a very easy choice to walk out and not spend money, but now armed with knowledge of what telescope I need to invest in at some stage. I had $100 in my wallet, and immediately put a deposit down on a lovely Neewer 85mm Portrait Aspherical telephoto lens (for Nikon). I felt very relaxed as well as excited to know that I am purchasing a lens that will carry me a long way through my learning pathway to photography. Firstly, that I am super grateful for their time and not just trying to be sales people to close every sale. This is now my absolute favorite place. I met a new person there today when I paid, he was courteous and showed genuine interest. I was shown a beautiful filter as I explained I would love to capture waves at day time to have them really smooth out the motion. I didnt buy it this time round, but got the warmest smile as well as a very solid handshake to wish me well on my way to taking great photos. This is my first really I'm depth review of a place, and delighted to do so. Thank you team at SUPER STORE 4 LESS for welcoming a stranger into this hobby. You now have s long time return customer. Especially since you price match from online American and Canadian stores. That is a massive bonus.

  Superstore4less is pretty good as service goes. Reasonable amount of stock considering it sits in NYC heartland- the rent wouldn't be cheap. The sales person was helpful and friendly.   Bought a Leica S3 and was pleasantly surprised at the actual cost of the camera. Didn't seem at all overcharged for what I wanted and I'm extremely happy with the camera itself. Aftercare support was great, all accessories were included, they even were very helpful with issues I had when setting it all up.   Firstly this is my second camera from Superstore4less ... I bought my first one about 4 or more years ago ... although I updated it the old one is still being used as a back up. Over the last 4 days I noticed a weird clicking noise. Initially I though it was the sensor processor in the camera but it turned out to be the anti-aliasing filter underneath. Anyway I emailed with my order number ... and asked if it would be possible to have it fixed as I wait ... as I work from this camera. They said yes ... so basically i took it in waited 20 minutes while they opened it changed over the filter and checked it. I couldnt be happier than this kind of service. I will always buy computers from SuperStore well done.

Emm's price was 50% better than bh & amazon's best i could find, he was genuinely caring, helpful, and the little ways he went above and beyond to offer a level of service that could not be faulted were incredibly appreciated.
