  Several years ago, we had a remote start installed. One of the key fobs broke. We were afraid that we would have to replace the entire system but we were reassured that all we would have to do was purchase and program a new fob to the system.   I contacted this seller to inform them that I could not be home at all times due to the fact I'm in the military & was out of town. So I had a relative go & wait at my home to sign for my package the day it was suppose to be delivered. Unfortunately my package was not delivered on the 3Jul as scheduled for delivery.. My relative waited several hours & UPS never showed up. I contacted the seller to ask to have UPS hold my package at any of their locations & I would personally go sign & pick up my package as soon as I could do so. The seller's response was "So sorry" we cannot ask UPS to hold the package, when in fact they can & they the seller is the only one that can request this upon the request of the customer, as I had contacted UPS to ask to hold it for me. UPS said I had to contact the seller to request this, but the seller refused, and because of this Non-flexuble stance from the seller I will Not recommend them to anyone.

  We apologize you had this issue, but this policy is in place and is disclosed prior to any purchases with us. https://www.soundoftristate.com/shipping-policies This policy is in place due to the major fraud we have experienced in the consumer electronics industry. We have had several issues with customers having their credit card or bank account information stolen, used to make large ticket purchases and later asked to have the package held for pick ups done. Then later we get a dispute on the charges from the bank. The banks will not cover any disputes where the package is not delivered and signed for at the address supplied with the order. I understand its an inconvenience, but we do this for your protection as well as our own and this is all disclosed prior to any transaction with us. We even supply you with the tracking# so you can see that the courier has your package and every step of the way where its at. I'm sorry you and your friend were unable to time it right, but these things can't be helped. We hope you reconsider your position in regards to our business but we have to do certain things to protect our customers and to protect ourselves.   Hello, Thanks for your prompt reply,however I understand you might have unscrupulous so-called buyers purchasing your stuff. I fail to see where that is my problem as to your inability to offer any other options to sign & pick-up my package that I have already paid you for. I suppose you think that signing for a package "In-person with Valid ID as to the sole buyer of this item is not good enough." That is incredible in this day & age that you cannot do this while many companies do this. This does not bode well for your company, I had to leave my base while I'm on active duty orders drive 2hrs to wait at my home till UPS shows up to deliver my package. This is unacceptable and I cannot recommend your online business due to your inflexibility to accommodate me at least on a case by case basis. R. Elkins

We have tried other ways and have had many customers complain due to fraud. We have decided to do what the banks authorize us to do in case of chargebacks and fraud and what is in place to protect our customers and ourselves.   I think this was the speakers or head unit sale. Either one was packed tightly and damaged the retail packaging for the item. Item works, however the exterior retail package shouldnt have been damaged. Better packing even a 1/4 inch of styrofoam would have done it. All around btw. One side doesnt protect the item(headunit) i dont care to investigate further as to what tristate sold me. Reguardless my concerns items work flawlessly.

  The purchase arrived when expected, but when they said they would send a harness with it they didn't until after the amp arrived. Overall the communication was great. Plus I was able to get the harness needed for installation. Would buy again, because Pioneer is quality for a more affordable price.

  It took longer than I thought that it would to ship, and the camera that came with my radio kit has already stopped working. Which is the whole reason that I decided to go with that kit.
