  You need an Microsoft Account for it to work. You need you log in with your Microsoft Account after you download it. No key is needed . Just download and log in with your microsoft account is the same logging into your MacBook. You can log out if you want quit Microsoft.

  I already had a Microsoft account so all I had to do was sign in when Amazon sent me to the site and it downloaded easily to my 2012 Macbook Pro and registered itself when I opened it. Was surprised how easy it was, considering it is $40 cheaper here than on the Microsoft site.

  I too, like many others refuse to pay a yearly subscription fee for Office 365. I use Word and Excel quite a bit at home, power point not so much since I retired. I like the fact that I can have an up to date version of the software. The price was right, the download and install were quite easy.

  I am a student and needed Microsoft Office ASAP. This provided Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Excel like promised...all of which works perfectly. Overall, downloading Microsoft Office was a breeze. Amazon sends you an email which redirects you to a Microsoft website where I downloaded everything in one go. I have a 2015 MacBook Pro that runs on Mojave (10.14.6) and everything works as expected. This also came with Onenote, which I didn't expect to be included. It probably took about 15 minutes from the initial purchase to installation. No complaints thus far.

  The original word on my computer was wiped out by an update. I was devistated as all my work was lost. I did not want to buy a new product. I very much liked the ease of installation but did not like the fact that this could not be installed on any new computer that I buy. My computer is very old and I am wanting to purchase another and would like to use the product. Other than this problem I was satisfied with the ease of installation and product used thus far.

  I contacted Tech Support because it would not download. They had to delete the trial that was on my son's computer and then it installed with no problem....serves the purpose for my son's virtual schooling to have on his laptop.

  Everything worked as advertised by the manufacturer and by Amazon - nice discount compared to all other sellers (Apple, MS, etc). I read several unfavorable reviews before making this purchase and cannot confirm those concerns, in particular working with the new OS Catalina. Hopefully, companion apps (I.e., endnote) will catch up soon!

  I’ve used MSWord for many years. My last version was 2007 and it became corrupted. I removed and purchased Word Perfect X9 earlier this year. I was not pleased with the results so I purchased MSWord Home & Office. I’m very pleased with this version as it’s easy to use and meets my needs.

  First time purchasing and downloading software from Amazon (I didn't know how to get from the purchase to the download and thought I'd have to dig a bit). Very intuitive and easy experience. Was walked through the process from my Amazon dashboard through Microsoft's. You know what you're getting with the software itself, so the key for me was a seamless download and getting the program on my Mac.

  I was able to download it and install it, although it is quite confusing. After signing into your Microsoft account they take you to a office 365 page. You have to click on a separate page to find where you can downloaded your purchase. I ended up at another page and entered my key and it said it had already been used. The critical thing is getting to the right page to download it. Pretty terrible interface.

  I had issues installing the program because I had the old Office 365. I should have gone into Word and added the product key but instead uploaded the program and got an error message. I called the Microsoft customer support line and the young lady was pleasant an walked me through the process. We uninstalled my old Office 365 and installed the new subscription within minutes. Very easy to do and great customer service experience.

  I found this edition easy to use. Being able to save, copy, paste, control alignment, choose a style or make bold or underline right from the bar on top saves a lot of time and is much more efficient. In fact it has a lot of capabilities that I need to learn! You can ""Take a tour"" to see & try examples. And I much prefer making a one time purchase and not having an annual subscription fee. These capabilities should be more than enough for home and student needs. The slight downside was that , as non techies, we had a few hitches while downloading, but managed to install it fine in the end.

  Easy install process. Signed into Microsoft account and downloaded office over the internet and putting in the product key. The home/student version has Excel, Word, and PowerPoint only. It appears that most of the 1 star reviews are a mix of older versions (2018), complaints about creating a Microsoft account, or about having to download office over the internet.

  This worked super easy. After purchasing the product an email is sent. After clicking the link it goes to Microsoft and automatically verifies the license and installs. It only took a few minutes. This is recommended if you prefer purchasing Office 2019 for your PC rather than subscribing to Office 365.

  It was nice to find this discounted from the regular price on Microsofts website. I simply purchased it, used the link to my Amazon software purchases and copied and pasted the key number into my Mircosoft trial download. I now have full access to Excel, Word, powerpoint and one other program....I don't remember the name.

  The keycode provided by Amazon will not be the same as the activation key Office.com provides after you setup your account. After doing so, it is easy to install and you will receive your REAL MS Office 2019 activation key.

  I'm guessing MS streamlined its download because it went through no problems. I first deleted MS360 from my new laptop, followed instructions, logged in to MS. In less than 5min it was completely done. I don't have any special cable (or skills)

  I previously had Office Home and Student 2007 so I decided to upgrade and this was the best price for Office Home and Student 2019. I read a couple reviews about problems installing but decided to try it anyway and it was very easy and didn't take long from when I purchased it to have it installed and working. It was about 10 minutes to install. I already had a Microsoft Account so that was not a concern. I haven't had it long enough to use all the functions yet but I would recommend this download. I didn't want to wait to have either Office 2016 or 2019 to be mailed to me or purchase it from a local store at a higher price. I didn't need any tech support so I didn't review that.

  Purchased for my daughter's laptop and had no problems like some of the other reviews I read about. Just signed into her microsoft account after purchased and then the download began did unistall the trial version first then amazon has a direct link to the microsoft store, then the download began. Took a few hours for the download then success! She had a full version for her laptop without a hitch. Thank you Amazon! One happy father!

  Upgraded from old version of Office 2008. Sign-on to Microsoft went smoothly, download and installation went smoothly, as did key registration. I was up and running in under 20 minutes start to finish. So far haven't had any issues opening older Office 2008 files in Powerpoint, Excel, or Word, and I've opened numerous of each just to test. Very pleased.

  I was reluctant to buy this because of the reviews that said it was hard to install. My only problem was that once installed, every time I tried to open a document Office 365 opened it. I found since the offering for 365 was preinstalled on my new computer, it had to uninstalled before I could use my new Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019. Otherwise it was easy to install and easy to use.

  Whatever wasn't working with the download before has definitely been fixed. I was up and running with this new version of Word in about 15 minutes. I did take the other reviewers' advice and delete Word 2007 from my computer. Much as 2007 served me well, I really like some of the new features of the more recent versions including the search column.

  I like the ability to load workbooks, etc. from an older version of MS Home & Office and not have to make a lot of adjustments. Have used this software for years (work in Accounting). I have also used Lotus and Quattro-Pro in the past - really Microsoft made Excel almost intuitive. With other, old spreadsheet software you really needed a separate book to use properly.

  Downloaded pretty easily. I have no confidence when it comes to computers, so I had my computer expert neighbor help me install. My old laptop had crashed, and I was afraid I'd lost my Word documents. I never really knew what ""One Drive"" was until we installed this. I typed up a letter a few days later and went to save it in My Documents, and there were my old documents!

  I read the earlier reviews that this version for the Mac wasn't downloading and I was a little hesitant, but am happy to say that I had no problems downloading and registering Microsoft Office Home and Student 2019 onto my MacBook Pro running Mojave. I'm not a power user, just want to work with simple Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, and was happy to load my old files with no problems (compatibility is always a concern). So far, so good. If you're thinking of upgrading for Mohave I say go for it.

  I recently updated to macOS Mojave on my mac mini, and with that update, my 2008 Microsoft Office was no longer functional. I've been meaning to upgrade to that latest Microsoft Office for a while now, but just never got around to it until I could no longer open any of my files without them crashing. I got onto Amazon, saw I could download the Home and Student 2019 version, so I bought it, downloaded it, installed it, and it's great. The functionality of the programs is superior to the 2008 version, and I'm sure I'll continue to enjoy this latest version of Office.

  The downloadable software approach is awesome in this worlds cloud based systems, however that pose different problems. The download is easy, the setup can be a little tricky. Just make sure if you use this for a company to keep track of the product id and which pc you installed it onto.

  Both the download and installation were easy and straight forward. I upgraded from Office 2007 so the interface was a bit different but I had no problem figuring it out. It loaded my documents without any problem. I did uninstall the 365 trial version on my PC as a precaution.

  I gave this license to my brother. It’s a simple set up through Microsoft.com/setup and the office came with word , excel, powerpoint, one note and overdrive . Pretty useful and complete. My brother is happy so am I so then . Thanks amazon for selling this product

  I ordered it for my wife and hardly got back to my computer when I got a message to download it. The install was not clear enough to that insure I wrote down the product ID. I did get it finally by going thru a process with Microsoft. Once you download to product the product ID is gone.

  My experience installing Microsoft Office Home and Student on my 2019 Mac Mini with an easy download after a purchase through Amazaon was hassle-free. Which is good because I am not much of a computer geek. I have always liked Apple because I only need to be able to follow clearly stated directions. Microsoft seems to have caught on to that too.

  Just wanted to contribute to the string, since several people had trouble downloading this software. I was able to purchase and download this morning in about 15 minutes without any problems, and was able to open my old Word and Excel files just fine. I did take the precaution of uninstalling my old Office 2008 suite before installing the new. I haven't used the new version extensively yet, but it seems to work pretty much like the old. So, good luck! BTW, if you're still uneasy about the fate of your old user files, you can always open them in Google Docs.

  Microsoft Office (especially Excel) is a great tool. However, having been spoiled by Excel for Windows, it's frustrating that Excel for Mac still has bizarre issues. At work it's become our daily entertainment. But still, I like Excel much better than Number for Mac. I will continue to use Excel.

  For me there is only Microsoft office. I already had an account with Microsoft which ran interference with the installation. If I had not a previous account it might have been easier. But I'm satisfied with what comes in this bundle. I am a spreadsheet enthusiast and for this alone is worth it for me.

  I read that many people were having trouble with the download. I had no issues with the download. I had the product installed within minutes after purchase.   Very easy to purchase and install. I already had a hotmail account so when I needed to log into Microsoft to download the software I just used my existing email and password. Very simple and you save about $20 getting it through Amazon.

  I had to purchase this version because Office 2011 wouldn't work with the new OS for Mac 10.15 Catalina. The download went fine and the installation was fine but my issue was that Microsoft had an old email so it took a while to finally get verified to actually install. Other than that it seems to be ok.

  Purchased MS Office Home and Student 2019 (download) and it was, as is typical with Amazon, an easy purchase. There was a glitch in the install process but, impressively, I was connected to Microsoft support and the problem was solved rather quickly. Very satisfied and would certainly buy software downloads from Amazon at any time.

  Downloaded on Acer 3. Microsoft 10 Download speed 19.3 MbpsI was very concerned with all of the one star reviews. I went on and took a chance on it, since most of those were from October 2018 to November 2018. I just paid for it, downloaded and was able to use all applications within 15 minutes. I did uninstall the previous office first. At first glance, the download insinuated that OneNote did not come with the download, but I simply put OneNote in my search bar and it opened up. So no regrets here.

  I purchased this yesterday for my PC. Once I had paid, Amazon took me to a page which showed me my license key and a link to Microsoft to perform start the installation. This went very smoothly, and once installed, the Office programs worked exactly as expected. The license key is stored in my Amazon digital items (Your Account -> Digital content and devices -> Digital games and software).

  Not sure what happened with the earlier reviews, but I was able to download, install, and use this on my Macbook Pro in less than 10 minutes with no problems. I didn't have to wait for anything to get mailed to me, I didn't have error messages, nothing. Okay, I'm off to use Word. Adios!

  Windows lost out with its layout too primitive nothing bold about any ugly design. Everything about windows sucks. I wish my office did not require using this slow program. Here is the kicker Windows 2007 looks more modern than the third grade primary blocks. No matter how I change it it goes back to the way it was changed from. Awful.

  I tried the download despite the poor reviews. It worked with no problem and only took about 10 minutes. When opening up an old Excel file I was asked to ""activate"" it. I was already required to set up a Microsoft account when I downloaded the software, so with the ""activate"" button, I just provided my ID and PSW, and was all set.

  Successful installation, but follow the instructions. There was a pop-up that did confused me, but was able to resume by going back to the previous screen. This is a basic Office product, not Office Professional. It does what I currently need. Will use my Office Pro 2007 for any Power Point needs.

  I had to upgrade from my previous version of Microsoft Office because it was obsolete, and I didn’t want to go with Office 365 and pay a recurring monthly fee. I like this a lot. I mostly use the Word program, and it’s a lot smoother running than the old version. Highly recommended.

  I like the feeling of ownership not renting! So being able to buy the software licensing and not rent it month to month just feels good. Microsoft Home and Student has everything I need to face any word, spreadsheet or presentation situation in a home office setting. I'm SO glad Microsoft has offered this option to those of us that prefer to OWN rather than LEASE! There is a market for this type of end user!!!!

  I had trialed MS Office 365 through a 30 day free trial. It worked great and I began to investigate whether I should continue with a $99 per year license fee or make a one time purchase of the Home and Student edition. In reading the reviews, I was concerned about the ease of downloading the software but also noticed that most of the complaints occurred during the early release of the product. I decided to make the purchase and I had no issues with the download. Software works great.

  With all the comments about problems downloading and installing - I hesitated. But then I took the plunge and can say I had no problems whatsoever. Easy/fast download, no problem installing, did not have to uninstall Office 2008 - everything just worked as it should. I have iMac running High Sierra - I did the ""download"" option vs ""key"". Will be hard to beat the $99 price.

  I held out a long time, using Microsoft Office 2008, before being forced to upgrade due to Mac OS Catalina. Installation was a breeze. I just made sure to uninstall the old office version first. Then I clicked on the link provided by Amazon.com to go to the Microsoft Office site, signed in with my account, answered a few short questions, and the download started. I was up and running with the new software in less than 10 minutes. This 2019 version definitely loads a lot faster than my old 2008 version and I've experienced no issues thus far.

  Just got through downloading Microsoft Office Home and Student to my new MacBook Air M1 laptop. It was very easy to install even though there were a handful of reviews that had me worried about how the install would go. However, when I saw that 89 percent of the people (which equates to 4,779 people as I’m writing this) who have purchased this through Amazon gave it either 4 or 5 star reviews, I decided to make the purchase. Count me in with the 89 percent that had no problem whatsoever. Thus my 5 star rating.

  Highly recommend reaching out to Microsoft before buying. They will set you up for success. Having a Microsoft account and being signed in on your browser before downloading to install is key. Also a great setup to be able to reinstall if ever needed. Works great on my Mac. I updated to Big Sur before downloading the newer Office version.

  I got the download option and had no problems installing it. It was super easy, I just had to follow the instructions from Amazon. I wonder if other people with difficulties were the ones who ordered the ""key card"" version.Also this product clearly states it includes: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. There're even logos to the effect. It's the ""Home and Student"" edition not the business edition so of course Outlook isn't included. It's important to read the description of what is included.If you are looking for Outlook or cloud storage you will want the business edition.

  I ordered late at night so that the verification process would work quickly. It was instantaneous. None of the lag that other reviewers mentioned. The verification and download was fast. The new software worked perfectly on my Macbook Pro 2018 Touchbar and was backwards compatible. All of my old files from the 2011 Microsoft license worked perfectly with the new 2019 license. The price through Amazon is much cheaper than buying direct through Microsoft, so, bravo Amazon!
