  Kayla is just finishing level 7. We needed to do lots of the lesson over, as she did not do well on the ending quiz. She still likes eggs and we do it five days a week. She is reading the books with ease most of the time.

  We were introduced to Reading Eggs through a kindergarten home school program from Liberty University. I have since purchased it for my other grand daughter who just turned three. She is far more captivated by it than ABC Mouse. She has made great progress and I can hold her attention.

  I have an 8 year old reluctant reader, and also have daycare children. I was looking for fun ways to develop her reading and spelling. I tried out so many math and reading sites! Reading eggs is the best I've found. Not only for my 8 year old, but for children as young as 3. There are lessons and games. I get progress updates, too!

  We are loving most of reading eggs. We notice that on a tablet running android 9 pie that a lot of the time it lags or shuts down. This is a brand new tablet with ONLY reading eggs on it. We would really enjoy it if you offered a program for learning french as well.

  This program is amazing! Due to a move, my youngest was not able to be enrolled in preschool to get ready for kindergarten next year...he’s grown leaps & bounds so far in both his reading & math!! I’m confident while using the program through summer break he will be much more prepared to start kindergarten!

  This website (along with some books we check out from the local library) have really helped my almost 5 year old! She doesn’t start kindergarten until a few more months but is already reading kindergarten level books. I decided to buy this program as we chose to “homeschool “ my daughter for pre-k during the pandemic and I wanted supplemental content to help teach her. My 1st grade son uses this program at his school and loved it so I thought “why not try it out at home?” I am so happy I did! I definitely recommend Reading Eggs. (Also, we knew nothing about the Mathseeds program that was included prior to purchasing but that addition has also been pretty helpful for my daughter, too.)

  My child gets really frustrated with some of the activities. It would be nice if the fail an activity more than once it would take them back to reteach the letter/ sound. Also, the volume varies wildly. You have to turn it up to hear the letter sound clearly, but then it's way too loud at other parts.

  Way less glitchy than ABC mouse and more fun! Easier to navigate even for a non-techie momma like me. I wish it had the option for more children bc I have 5 kids that need on, but otherwise a great tool. They like doing it and the report emails sent to me describing their progress is a nice bonus.

  My 5 year old REALLY enjoys Reading Eggs and Math Seeds. We’ve tried some great learning apps that he never really wanted to use. He begs to play Reading Eggs and Math Seeds. As an elementary school teacher, I see a lot of value in many of the activities in the app. I do have some constructive feedback. I have noticed that some of the letter sound demos do not clip the consonant sounds (for example: /puh/ for letter p instead of a clipped /p/ sound). The addition of a nonexistent vowel sound after consonants can really confuse little ones when attempting to blend sounds to read words. Also, the sentence unscrambling activities in Reading Eggs are super frustrating for my son. The sentence is quickly read aloud one time, and there is no way to have it repeated. He will forget what the sentence should be and is stuck with no way to proceed without just providing incorrect answers so he can repeat the activity with my help. I’d love to see more assistance given within the app when a child provides an incorrect answer or the activity is left idle for longer than necessary, such as a repetition/rephrasing of instructions or demonstration of the action the child is being prompted to complete.

  I was so excited to try Reading Eggs for my kids, so I immediately jumped on the free trial offer. Unfortunately, after I signed up, I realized the app wasn't available for their Amazon tablets. We were unable to use our trial or enjoy the app. It was a disappointing experience.

Unfortunately, it’s the way Kindle tablets are created and the platform that they use. The high video content and animation on Reading Eggs doesn’t work with their browser Amazon Silk which is developed by Amazon and whilst you may gain access to Reading Eggs on the Kindle device to begin with, you may run into some technical glitches as you progress through the program.   My son lost interest really fast in this program. I really wanted him to succeed but I think the assessment they offer put him at a higher then he was ready to learn. I will give it another try but he isn't exactly into this program at all.

  I was looking for something to supplement my child's remote learning, and a friend with a dr in education mentioned this app was the best. We had already tired ABC Mouse, but my kid just wanted to play with the fish tank. The way he interacted with Reading Eggs was (and is) completely different. He's gone from saying "but I can't read" to "I'm so proud of myself for being able to read!" And he wants to share the funny cartoons with us. I'm very grateful for Reading Eggs.

  My kids love Reading Eggs. It has been an excellent fit for my 5-year-old who is learning to read and has provided great, challenging activities for my second grader in both math and reading. I love it that I can also download the app onto my phone and chrome book so they can practice on the go! The only reason I don’t give it 5-stars is my 5 year old sometimes has trouble completing the activities that require him to click and drag items on the screen. It causes a lot of frustration for him and he is ready to quit until I intervene.

  God Bless You Kathy and your entire team and family..I myself am a stay at home mom & a resent. homeschooler..Im not not a teacher in academics by no means , when i found your app i was so excited... It is perfect for parents like myself who have no skill in teaching math or reading to anyone , This app is like automatic pilot, put your kids on and let them go..and i love the report cards that the app gives for each child which makes record keeping very easy..   Reading Eggs is great and would love to give 5 stars. However, I find the navigation not that user friendly and in some cases very confusing. That is me as an adult, for small children it is even more confusing. I think it lacks some "on the spot" clarification, what one can do or how something is done. Small question marks, for example, one can hover over to get more info would help already, without having to click away. At the moment, trying to find info on how what works, feels like is nonexistent. Otherwise, the section that we are now sort of familiar with, it is great. That is mainly in the Mathseeds section, as the other section, let's call it the main section, is too confusing and not user friendly.

  My daughter struggled with reading in first grade, then school was canceled due to COVID. Second grade has been worse! The school can't put in the extra time. Reading eggs has helped her in just a few weeks!!!!! And she actually likes to do it! We will continue with this program all summer at least! This has made a difference with word recognition, AND comprehension! I even notice a difference in her speech! Maybe its all coincidence, but within 2 weeks I could see a difference. We only use it about 30 minutes 3 days a week- but its working, and she likes it! This was easy- Click on free trial and go! Emails asking if I need help, and more!

  I love this program. My daughter does too which is important. She has tried several online programs and she usually likes the avatars and a few of the activities but she gets tired of it and I can not get her to use the website anymore except for the avatars. She loves Reading Eggs and Mathseeds. I am thankful for finding a unique website. I enjoy it too. We are still exploring, It is very creative. Great job to everyone who created this and maintains it :) Very cool.

  I have seen great gains with my younger child on reading eggs, but I have some concern about the appropriateness of all of the literature in the library for my older child. I would expect a program like reading eggs to be one that I would not need to supervise the content of the library shelf, but my older daughter started reading a book about alternative dressing styles in Asia (Street style) that even she thought was inappropriate. I also saw at least three reviews by other users stating negative reactions to the book. We have public libraries and society as a whole already pouring enough alternative ideas into our children. As a teacher myself, I believe public education, and certainly any subscription service, should do all it can to encourage wholesomeness during these formative years. If you know children well, you know that they actually yearn for and are drawn to the spirit of kindness and generosity in all aspects of their lives because it provides such a sense of security.

  We have been using reading eggs through my sons school since the beginning of the 2020 school year. We loved it so much that I went ahead and made our own separate account so we could also use math seeds. My son is 6, and his reading abilities SKY ROCKETED after about a month after we started reading eggs. Once he became more familiar with things, he took off. It’s been so amazing to see and witness. AND as a bonus, he has a BLAST! He begs to do more because he has such a great time with everything that is offered. I also made an account for my almost 2 year old for reading eggs jr. while it’s too early for him to really know much, he does have a really fun time playing the games they have. He enjoys being able to count the numbers just by touching the objects. I’m sure it won’t be long that he starts gaining more and more knowledge.   All encompassing and engaging. We have tried other programs in the past (at least 4) and this is the one that has shown results and keeps my 6yr olds attention. It's really impressive! I have recently started my 9yr old on the program as well . He was struggling with his reading and after we did the assessment test for him I was really excited to see him covering some fundamentals that we needed to spend extra time on as a quick easy additional lesson. I quickly have seen progress in his skill as well as more confidence in his reading. The age range this program covers is really impressive. I happily reccomend reading eggs to everyone!

  Trying to find a reading program that actually works and that my five year old would really enjoy without getting bored seemed a bit overwhelming for me, like, where do I even start?! This program was recommended by a friend of mine and I am so very thankful! By the second day my husband and I KNEW that we were going to stick with it, and now our little guy is reading like a pro!   My daughter has struggled with different aspects of school since she started. She is a bright girl but math and reading have always been difficult. After the school closings last year when Everything Covid hit, she made it through third grade, but not necessarily on grade level as I would have expected or hoped. As schools were trying to decide what the education system would look like for the fall, we found that our options for being part of a structured school were not feasible for our family. This brought the decision to do traditional homeschooling. We purchased a whole set of material, not as part of a whole curriculum, but individual books and courses. We started at the beginning of the year and it was evident that she was not on grade level for fourth grade. As we continued working, we completed a lot of workbooks to help get her caught up. We tried one curriculum web site but she did not relate, found it boring and too challenging. (It is a great site, just not for us at this time). When we found Reading Eggs we started right away. She loved it! At the end of our trial we ended the other web site and purchased the year's subscription of Reading Eggs. I believe that she has improved and is catching up to where she should be. I am hoping that by the time our subscription expires in October that she will have completed the curriculum available! I would love to see Reading Eggs expand their curriculum past 2nd/3rd grade so that she can continue. She is in 4th right now, doing the 2nd grade Reading Eggs and Math Seeds curriculum. I'm hoping that by 6th grade she is able to do at least 5th grade work. Thank you so much for the curriculum you have put together and the format used. We really enjoy the acorns and other incentives given. My daughter finds it a lot of fun! She has even gotten the reading bug and has started book reading almost every day! I highly recommend this to anyone working on lower elementary or needing supplemental help in those grades. When comparing subscription costs to other programs, Reading Eggs is far less than some and comparable to others. Well worth every cent we have spent on it!

  So far so good. I have a 1,2,3 grader using it. I need however for every section to have the ability to be read to them out loud-all passages, answers and the questions. I can’t always be sitting right by each kid and they need the ability to go back and have things reread out loud to them. My 3rd grader has dyslexia and she is able to answer things correctly when read to her but on her own it’s to taxing to read alone.

  The site is easy to log into and get started; I have it bookmarked so my kids need minimal help getting in.   Reading Eggs taught my 5 year old son the basics of reading and he can now sound out words. My kids love Reading Eggs. I personally dont like the way reading was taught by sounding out each sound of a word, then saying all the sounds together. It stunts their reading ability. I taught my other kids (and other kids when I taught school) to read at age 4 and the way I prefer is to teach the first two sounds of a short vowel word, such as ma, sa, fa, da, etc, then teach them to drag out the vowel sound and bump it into the ending sound. Example: caat, saad, etc. Its just easier for them to catch on. The Reading Eggs way works too but I dont feel that it's as easy for him to catch on and can teach them bad habits. All in all a great reading program that the kids catch on to really fast. We only used it for the 30 day trial period.

  I have to admit, I was very worried about more screen time to help with reading, but my daughter really expressed a desire to do Reading Eggs. She was first exposed to Reading Eggs in school and she was really upset when it wasn’t offered the following year as well. I decided to give it a try. My daughter had been steadily working on reading books but it wasn’t until after starting Reading Eggs that her reading skills improved dramatically. She now is able to work through more difficult vocabulary without getting frustrated and her confidence is heart warming. Not only has her skills improved but also her desire to read. She considers Reading Eggs a treat every time she does it. She had a huge grin the other day when I was reviewing some sound blends and she told me she already learned that in Reading Eggs. I am so glad we joined and would recommend Reading Eggs!

  I was struggling to get my kids (6,5, 3) to sit down and read. (Mostly my 5 & 6 yr old). They new some...but really needed something to get them to really sit and practice.   Reading Eggs has helped my 6 yr old in so many ways! She was struggling with the phonics aspect of reading and has come so far in the past year. My 4 yr old is on it now also and is doing great. It’s also entertaining enough for my 8 and 9 yr olds. It’s easy to set up, although, it would be nice to have deals on all the programs for multiple kids vs “this deal applies to one child” . The website is easy to navigate for kids (and for myself).

  Absolutely love Reading eggs! We were first introduced to this program from my daughter's school last year. This year the school went with a different program and my daughter started falling behind in reading. In turn, to help her, I signed her back up for Reading eggs and so very thankful I did! Her reading has immensely improved. And not only that, she actually looks forward to "playing" Reading eggs!

  We are really loving Reading Eggs so far! My sons think the games are fun, and I appreciate how they teach skills and also assess kids on those skills. too many programs simply assess and don't actually help kids when they get stuck. I think my only complaint is sometimes my child misses questions because of the strong English accent. one day my 6-year-old, my husband, and I were all trying to figure out what it was saying and the word was 'mark' but came out pronounced as 'mock' and we couldn't figure out the word it was trying to say. Happened a couple times but I remember that time in particular! aside from that though we are really happy with it so far. We currently have a trial but we will probably subscribe to it.

  I have used multiple platforms for reading resources for my children. Reading Eggs is the BEST I have used. The kids love it. The approach to phonics is absolutely essential to building readers and I love that there is a program already integrated for their daily work that goes along with the curriculum map. This helps me to know what they are learning, making sure that the books they read in the library correspond with the lessons they are on, and also helps me to see that the standards that they are learning are grade level standards that are appropriate. The Math Seeds program is a very visual program that helps them understand the principals behind the math-- not just memorization of facts. Both of my children have shown solid Lexile and literacy growth using this program and I recommend it for homeschool, teacher supplements in the classroom, and general school use **especially EIP services!!!

  I don’t pay for many apps but I did purchase this one! My almost 5 year old loves it and ASKS to play it, even though he knows it’s a “learning game” and not just a “fun game”. I’ve definitely seen more progress from him playing the game than my efforts trying to reach him to read on books at home.

  I'm homeschooling my son in kindergarten and it was a daily battle for him to complete his worksheets from other curriculums. He absolutely hated it. It was boring and would never hold his attention no matter how hard I tried. We both dreaded "school time". Introducing Reading Eggs was a game changer. He's learning everything required for kindergarten plus more and he loves it. He doesn't call it school work cause he thinks he's just playing games. He loves the characters, the play shops, the stories. It has been a life saver.

  Like many parents, I chose homeschooling bc of the pandemic. I was terrified bc I had to teach my youngest how to read. I did research and found worksheets but we were still struggling. I did Reading Eggs’ 30 day trial and planned to just cancel it but I was seeing real progress and decided it was something we needed. My daughter has learned many new words and enjoys this program. She asks to get on everyday so this program has made homeschooling her a breeze.

  We’ve had reading eggs for right at a month now. Both my (barely) 6 year old and 7 year old love it. We use it supplemental with our homeschooling and it’s a fun educational way for them to get screen time that we are all happy with. So glad for the free one month trial to use to fall in love.   Outstanding service in all regards. I wanted a program to help my (then) four year old grandson learn reading basics, so we started a trial in July. We both really enjoyed it and since then we typically spend about 3 days a week on the program, which has resulted in him able to sound out words very easily. Most days he likes to engage, and I let him direct his progress. He just turned 5 and while he mostly enjoys legos and being very active, Reading Eggs had given him a terrific reading start! We will continue to explore the many lands!

  I learned about this company by buying worksheets in a used bookstore - loved how they were put together, big enough font and pictures with slowly building up skills so we wouldn’t experience much frustration (some is inevitable). My daughter made great progress to reading, she didnt know all sounds of alphabet when we started. I’m still doing the reading via paper copies. After trying 3 different styles of math with not much luck for her (she is in grade K but knows followed brother’s 1st grade math during homeschooling and I wanted her workbooks to be more playful since she will have it in school again next year) I ordered also mathseeds paper copy but discovered I like that one better in the app for both kids (grade K and 1). My 1st grader loves mathseeds enough he did 25 lessons in 5 weeks before winter break and shortly before Christmas he was working out on a paper on his own 6x6 and 6x7, 4x5 and 5x5 (and got it correctly, the 8x8 didn’t work out to correct answer for him so he tossed that paper, lol). It was awesome because he has been asking about multiplication since we had some flashcards in the house but I always told him that’s for 3rd grade). His reading level is ahead of 1st grade so he is doing Eggspress which is great because he is working on skills he needs - it’s challenging but he likes it. My daughter in kinder is doing well too but even though I signed up for her I’m very pleased with my son’s growth from using it. I think she likes that for the workbook I sit next to her - I work full time so she gets to see me when I take short breaks from work to do schoolwork. Anyhow, thank you so much for putting this program together!

  I’m a mother and speech and language therapist. I also teach pre-reading skills to over 100 preschoolers aged 4-5 per week. Without a doubt I have never seen a program I like as much as reading eggs. It’s highly educational, beautifully designed, it’s fun, it’s engaging, it’s well paced. It’s close to perfect! I don’t let my kids (ages 6 and 4.5) play video games and their “iPad time” is readingeggs. They love it! It’s their special treat and they love learning with it. The only feedback I would give is that I would like to use the app in my teletherapy practice with my patients but the sound is too loud. I would like to have the ability to mute it so I can do the talking and giving directions. Thanks for an amazing app! I’m truly so grateful to have found you.
