  Reading Eggs is visually hyperstimulating for my 6 year old, and it has not significantly helped him with reading. The characters and adventures seem to distract him from what he's supposed to be learning, instead of helping him to learn. He gets grouchy when he has to be done. Reading Eggspress has been helpful for some of my older children. It's not so stimulating as the programs for the younger ones.

  My boy is struggling quit a bit with reading and writing in 1st grade. His first report card was not very good and even his teacher was getting frustrated with him. I was worried he would fall behind and be ignored by the teacher. I also have reasons to believe that he might have dyslexia. So I found reading reading eggs. The two things I love most about it, is that it doesn't feel so much like learning to him, but more like playing. There are a ton of different games and variations of learning how to read. Tons of ways to keep the kids interested engaged. Second, I absolutely love being able to print those same exercises as a pdf. After playing on the screen, I sit down with him and repeat the same exercises on a manual sheet. He always tells me how easy it is, which is great, because with any other book, his answer would always be that he can't do it. And even better, his teacher recently told me that whatever it is I am doing with him, I should keep doing it. I have high hopes that his next report card will be a tiny bit better.

  The program looks fun but not having it available on Amazon Fire is making me consider cancelling. It's just too hard for my 6 year old to use a laptop versus her tablet so we really haven't got to experience it much and therefore it's not worth it for us.

  Where do I start my child can now read and understand what he is reading now, my children can test their knowledge in math and reading, even spelling and phonics. There are fun ways on here they can learn and I can keep up with their progress I can select the date to show the progress it’s not boring to them they are actually into it and love to do it. Before Reading-eggs when it was time to study it would be a dread from all 3 of my children and it makes me a proud happy homeschooling Mom. Like I have no doubts I have the tools and I have the progress to actually shows and it saves. Like this is not even all I have more to say but I will leave it at this.

  I am satisfied with the learning platform Reading eggs as for my son. He has become a better reader and have interest in words. I like the uniqueness of different characters in the eggs. My son always wants to see what character pops out of the egg. He likes the music and dance to it. Reading eggs is one of the best online learning applications out there and I have tried many. I like the parent portal and the little certificates at the end of each maps. I like the the downloadable lesson plan that shows me what is on every lesson and on every map. My son likes the store and getting little items for his character with the eggs he has gotten.

  Our grandson had to do an online kindergarten during covid, and Reading Eggs was part of the curriculum. He loved it, and is an excellent reader now at the age of 7 in second grade. His 4 year-old sister, however has not attended preschool nor kindergarten and barely knows her alphabet. I decided to buy the Reading Eggs for her, but sadly cannot get her to use it. I may try again, but she is very difficult to deal with when she doesn't want to do something. She will enter kindergarten in September, so hopefully she will catch up at some point.   I love this reading app its perfect for my daughter its better than most I'm glad I found it when I did, I'm seeing progress with her confidence, and she has only been using it for 2weeks and I plan on to continue to keep using it until her reading is where it is supposed to be.

  I was fortunate for the opportunity to homeschool my kids but I found that my youngest, who had just completed the first grade, was severely behind in reading. He lacked confidence and had no desire to read. He was defeated. Daily he would say, "I'm a horrible reader and I'm not smart". As a mom, that phrase will pierce you right in the heart. He struggled at recognizing phonic sounds in words, made up sounds in words, and struggled with fluency. We have been using Reading Eggs for a few short months and my son is growing leaps and bounds with his reading abilities. He actually WANTS to log in to Reading Eggs to do "work". He also has been requesting for us to read books in the evening before bed by choice, not by force. I'm so thankful we found a program that meets him where he is at and breaks down the phonics to help build confidence. This program teaches in such a skilled way that my son finds fun and motivating. We can't wait to continue through the program and he is even excited to jump into the Reading Eggspress for older kids once he is ready.

  I decided to try Reading Eggs with my 6 year old just a few months ago after seeing the frustration she was experiencing (and me) with the home school program we were using. My daughter was struggling to recognize sight words and was not even close to being able to read a sentence. In just a short time of using Reading Eggs, she was recognizing sight words and reading short sentences! She was actually excited to learn! Before, it was a fight. I cannot say enough good things about Reading eggs. I highly recommend this program.

  Very good program for children. I have five, obviously the smallest one is too young (only 1) but my other children get the most out of the app. The only thing I dislike and would change, is the lessons that involve aliens. Aliens!!!! Other than that I can't complain.

  So far my 4yo grandson is loving this program. I just wish there was more review of each letter sound and sight words. Also, the way the letter f is written is very confusing.

  I have been using another reading/learning app for my kids and they just seemed bored. Once we switched they are more engaged and excited to do their lessons. We homeschool and reading eggs/math seeds are a good tool in our curriculum.

  My daughter doesn't yet start using the app on her own, but once she opens it she's very engaged for a good amount of time. She can now remember things that she used to forget, for example when C says the S sound.

  We love Reading Eggs, it is an open and go, independent program that is fun and educational. My son’s reading level and comprehension has increased so quickly. He enjoys the eggs rewards that he can use, the optional printable extras that go with each lesson are excellent and help to reinforce what my son has learned. The spelling program is also excellent. I like that there is a test at the beginning to help figure out which level to start your child. The email updates are great and the printable rewards are great to help boost the children’s self-esteem.

  To be honest I don’t care for the animation/drawing style used. I also don’t always understand the choice of photos used. However my child loves Reading Eggs and seems to be gaining knowledge and that’s all that really matters.

  Woke Company Alert!! You were wrong about your assessment of our daughter’s reading level. Also just recently found out you all have inappropriate, woke, liberal indoctrinated garbage books in your library. Word is going around the Homeschooling community about the gross books in your library. Never again! Good Riddance Reading Eggs!!

  Colton is enjoying all the stories and activities and learning more words every day. It is opening a new world to him and he is excited about what we call lesson time. I have him repeat the story back to me showing him the words and he is making connection with the words, not all the time but most of the time. We are both a work in progress.   This subscription is worth EVERY penny. I have a 5yr old and 4 yr old twins. They all love getting on and doing the games and lessons. I love getting to see their progress and being surprised at how much they are learning from it! Reading Eggs also teaches them math! My kids have improved so much in their reading and math skills, I couldn't be happier.

  Hello again! I believe you may be referring to the Activity Books, which currently exist in Levels 1-8 and correspond to the first 80 Lessons of the Reading Eggs ages 3-7 program. There are Essential Skills workbooks which correspond to upper levels of the online programs which can be found at www.readingeggsshop.com. I'm not aware of plans to create additional activity books at present, but keep you eyes on the shop!

  So far, so good! My son is behind in his reading, more with the reading comprehension but we did the placement test and he is moving through the levels from where the placement test put him and he is doing well. We have started the spelling placement test but have not finished it yet. We are enjoying the app.

  Since purchasing the 2-4 year old subscription 2 months ago, my daughter has learned to identify C-F accurately. It's our go-to game on my phone, and I don't feel bad about using a screen to occupy her for an hour once a week on average when she's learning and having fun with Reading Eggs!

  I really like reading eggs. My second grader who really shut down on reading loves this. He enjoyed the challenges. The only thing that I think could be improved is some of the pronunciations are hard to understand Glad I found this program.

  Reading eggs is good for kids who already know their letter sounds, and are reading small words. I have not been happy with the way and the order that they are teaching the letter sounds to my preschooler. It’s very confusing. I would totally get my money back if I could.

  I haven't been using it long. Maybe a handful of times, so I don't know how effective it is at helping the kids learn to read YET. However.. their print outs are awesome, fun and I know that they will work for sure. I love that they give you a schedule for homeschoolers to use if you are struggling with lesson plans for this. I love that the kids BEG me to do school and will spend a few hours on the app. I know screen time should be limited, but sometimes mama needs a bit of time and I don't feel guilty because they are learning. The eggs throughout are my 4yo's favorite thing. It even keeps my 2yo entertained (with a little help). My 6 year old did the first 5 lessons on his own all in a little over an hour... and when I suggested a break, he asked for more time! I will update my review when we have used it for a while so I can comment further on its effectiveness for helping them read!

  Defnitely a 5! What I love about Reading Eggs is that there are hundreds of printable worksheets that correspond with the lessons in the programmes.   I have seen my daughter improve her reading and maths skills since I started reading eggs. And the best part about it is that it's fun. She use to hate reading and cry when I make her read.   I have seen an improvement in my children's reading 100% I have had to cancel though as I need to save some money. I would give 5 stars except I can't use it on their Amazon fire tablets I HAVE to give them my phone which doesn't work well when they come off the app so easily. Also my child has weekly spellings given by school, it would be good if I could input these specific spellings for them to practice some how and progress through memory so end of the week they can remember with ease

  We absolutely love Reading Eggs and Math Seeds! It's colorful, fun and quick with touch response (unlike Hooked on Phonics). The only complaint that will unfortunately be the reason we cannot continue our subscription, is that it's not supported on an Amazon Fire tablet. We use the Amazon Tablets for my children's education apps only. I am really bummed we won't be able to continue after the monthly trial.

  This has been the best experience so far among the different apps I used. My son is Deaf and Hard of Hearing and also has development delay and low muscle tone. It is not easy to get him to read or write. with this app he has started to learn words and read a little bit. I am optimistic he will continue to make progress with time.

  This is a great app to teach young kids to read; my preschooler is obsessed with it. What makes it different from other apps is that there is no way to "cheat" it; if the kid makes too many mistakes, the lesson simply gets repeated. He can't move on until he's mastered the given skill. Highly recommend for young kids!

  Homeschooling has been amazing for my youngest-But reading was intimidating to her and she struggled with blending sounds. She has been using reading eggs for one week and her reading age has gone up a full year. She is sounding out things confidently while playing through the program.   My daughter needed some help with feeling confident with her letter phonics and really needed help blending letter sounds into words ... After a year on ABC mouse she was still struggling then we discovered Reading Eggs and I decided to give it a try ... With literally the first week she was making progress and was happy to be learning again. Once she was in week 2 she knew a couple sight words and was able to use phonics to read other 3-4 letter words. I immediately ditched the mouse and have been singing the Egg praises to everyone I know with young kids.

  My 6 year old daughter could not even read simple words and this was despite joining the lead tutoring place for English reading for months. I found reading eggs and gave it a try. Within no time my daughter got addicted to it and within 2 months has started reading whole books by herself. I would strongly recommend this app to anyone for kids.

  I am so in love with Reading Eggs. It was recommended to us for my Autistic son who is in kindergarten but struggles with language due to a severe language delay. Reading Eggs has helped him especially with his phoneme awareness and beginning sounds. I loved it so much I started my advanced 4year old on it as well and she adores it. It is engaging for kids for sure. The concept of following a map and receiving animals that hatch out of an egg at the end of a lesson as a reward is both adorable and effective. My kids love doing their daily lesson to see what animal they get that day. They also adore Sam the Ant which is the character that helps them navigate the lessons by navigating the instructions and steps. Each child gets their own profile and before beginning the program, a placement test is given so the children start at THEIR INDIVIDUAL LEVELS. Love love LOVE that aspect of Reading Eggs. Then, as the children learn, the lessons advance as they learn and master concepts. Now that my son correctly learned his letters, the lessons advanced to sounds, then CVC building and then sight words. It's incredible that the lessons are always within his abilities and doesn't get too far ahead of his capabilities. I used ABC Mouse before and it never, ever properly worked. I hated it. And Homer and Lingo Kids aren't bad but Reading Eggs is without contest my favorite learning platform I use. I homeschool my kids so I'm always looking for great resources. Highly recommend Reading Eggs.

  My daughter loves reading eggs. My daughter hates reading and doing homework, but when I mention doing reading eggs to help her skills and build them she’s all for it! She truly enjoys it! She doesn’t feel it’s a punishment but a fun game.

  This app is hard to navigate to young children. I cannot just give it to them like I can other learning apps. It is frustrating because it is a great educational app, but not user friendly, the interface is confusing for young kids.

  Reading Eggs really hits the mark for children from ages of 3 to 8 with or without disabilities. I have been using program for less than 30 days but am seeing results already in area of "sounds and recognition of letters" and recognition of "beginning sight words" which was not happening this entire school year until now no matter what method I was using. I was about to give up ! THANK YOU READING EGGS !

  My son reads phonics books or words I write on a white book way better. It's boring and repetitive. He will not play it. He played it 2 or 3 times the first week and it just continues to drop off. I have to beg him and he stops quickly. Also sound problems with the app so we can only use the computer for this overpriced program. So bummed I spent money on this. Just engage with your child hands on, so much better!

  This program is really educational, fun, and engaging for kids. I bought it for my 9-year-old nephew with autism and 8- year old niece, and tried it out for the first time with both of them yesterday. Both kids seemed to enjoy all of the activities and redeeming their “eggs” for items for their virtual house. I was impressed by the variety of learning activities and games, the placement test to individualize the curriculum, and the really adorable characters and graphics. Clearly, a lot of work went into building this program and it shows!

  my daughter explained to me she doesn’t like the app because when she get her answers wrong the little monsters laugh and stick their tongue out at her. She explained to me it hurts her feelings. The monsters reminds her of the bully in her classroom. Who always laugh and stick his tongue out at everyone who get wrong answers. Instead of lifting her up saying it’s okay turn again next time, the app is breaking her down and definitely shooting her self esteem down and I don’t like that.   My shopping experience was so easy to navigate through the site. After reading about the program, I immediately thought this would be a good for my child’s learning abilities and signed up.   Reading eggs is a great resource! Helped my oldest and now my 6 year old has been using it. There is a lot of repetition which I love. I know there are other reading apps out there but I ve only used reading eggs because it is familiar to me. However, I am supplementing with bobs reading books. I feel that reading eggs is not enough. But doing both is most successful.

  The design of reading eggs is great. It’s also engaging and my son definitely learned. I discontinued using it though, because there are a lot of things that aren’t supported by the research of how kids learn to read. One of the things I dislike most is that kids are encouraged to guess instead of actually reading. They don’t have a choice because words are presented with sounds they haven’t learned yet. No room here to present the science of learning to read, but that’s very problematic. And just one example.

  Educational, yes, but it isn’t fun. My 2nd-grade son felt stressed out and begged not to use it anymore. Instead of assessment, why not just let the user adjust difficulty as they see fit? An instead of boring, dry, slide-show like educational videos and tests, why not present the information in a creative, fun way? In game form? Why do you have to earn eggs in boring ways before you can play the games? It just felt like punishment to him,

  Reading Eggs was a great way to have fine learning to read. My oldest grandchild used it and was reading well before kindergarten. We just bought Reading Eggs for the next grandchild who is not quite three yet and already very interested in the reading process and has started the Reading Eggs for younger children. Reading Eggs is such a fun way to learn and it has proven to be highly motivating!
