  Always friendly, helpful, and kind! It's a great place to ask questions about New York's photography heritage or get technical advice. They have pretty much every kind of camera under the sun(full-frame, mirrorless, and point n shoot). I've heard people say that Park ave camera is expensive, but it's not. I've found both cameras and equipment cheaper here in the store than on Amazon, Adorama, or used B&H.

  Went for the new Olympus OM-D Series Cameras premier event. There were brand ambassadors with camera equipment and answers to questions. There was drinks and cheese and meat and fruit trays. They were giving away Olympus branded caps and T-shirts. A nice bunch of camera aficionados to spark a conversation. Park Ave Cameras is almost the only real camera specialty store left in New York. They also repair cameras, or name sources that do. They have an interesting camera collection and friendly, helpful staff.

  They are geared to the pro camera owner, so I had to get my Sony DSC-W830 elsewhere. They don't do free seminars like B&H does, but they have recommended local photo clubs that do. They have been in New York decades and is considered by many as a professional photographic source. They are the largest photographic facility in that part of the city. They offer old or digital cameras, darkroom chemistry, viewfinder gear, lights & binoculars. I may not use all that, but it is fun to wander the store like a lost kid in Disney.

  I shop at Park Ave Cameras because it has everything I would need for movie production or photography got all the cameras you would need and their overall business is steered by people that just love their jobs in the future I wouldn’t mind seeing this place evolve into a bigger place like a B&H or something like that place is great I believe it better to go get the camera instead of ordering it but that’s just me but I really enjoy this place when I do go

  This is the goto brick & mortar photography store in NY to shop for digital cameras & film enthusiasts! Everything from vintage to contemporary style cameras, lenses, photo & film, accessories, lighting, tripods, mounts etc... it's all here! And the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They're not pushy to upsell anything.

  Very knowledgeable staff and huge selection of not only cameras and lens' but also of bags and accessories. I feel much better about spending hundreds of dollars on a camera if I can put my hands on it and make sure that it has the room and suitability that I need before buying it and you are not sacrificing price by buying here either. Hands down a better choice than buying online!

  Great selection of cameras and accessories, but.... but, do not trade in your expensive camera stuff to them especially if its still mint whiff. They quoted a preposterous $800 dollars for 3 lenses. I posted them on Craiglist for more than $2.5K.. I guess they are used to dealing with drug addicts.

  Huge selection, loads of camera brands to choose from, plenty of associates ready to help, very friendly and knowledgeable. In store reps and demos here. Prices and selection will always be better and cheaper online but for the service you get and in store pickup vs 2 days with prime it's worth the markup when you need help choosing or need something same day. They have new, used, and do trade ins, so there is something for everyone. They've improved their website into a more modern with real time prices and inventory tracking. I like the in store hands on feel, but I do most of my shopping online and will make the hour RT often. They do have an eBay store, stock posted online is good, but you go to store for that. Highly recommended though

  Friendly, super-efficient and helpful staff - got great service from Park Ave Cameras: got a great deal on a new Canon EOS 6D Mark II, Canon BG-E21 Battery Grip and Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT! Amazing customers service. I'm very happy and satisfied, thank you Park Ave Cameras. Excellent Canon Authorized Dealer & true brand advocate.   Went in for a black Friday cyber monday deal with Park Ave Cameras. Alex helped us out a lot! Went back to have the original pair of binoculars replaced since we didn't like it (nothing wrong with the unit itself just wasn't happy). It was a breeze to have it changed. Great job guys!   Good electronic store. They have great set of wireless headphones. They also have a iPad iPhone accessories. It all looks the same. Interesting Apple gadgets as well as the pro audio stuff. Not sure if they could work on their engagement design .

  Great customer service here! Alex and Kathy were polite, kind and informative. I literally walked in here to kill time during my break from work and ended up making a purchase just cause! Lots of cool computers and all-in-one desktops. Fair prices and a well kept store...I ended up with a Acer 27"!

  One of the best camera stores I've been to beside B&H Photo. (They have spotting scopes ) but other than that. This store is very helpful in answering your questions and they dont push you to get the best of everything. Digiscoping adapters is one of my favorite things about this location. Alex has been able to help my wife and I get the best of everything we wanted. His coworkers have even helpped us when he isnt there...but i dont remember their names sadly. But love them all equally!

  Had an issue with the battery with my Nikon Z 50 . I went and saw Emma and she was extremely helpful in in helping me going above and beyond to help me fix my camera issue. She did a thorough check of the equipment ensuring my battery was working to the best of its ability. She noticed my charging was not fast so she even took the time to check my charging cables when i had brought them back in. Exceptional service and definitely happy I have a Nikon brainchild. Recommend the Park Ave Cam store and Emma for her amazing service.

  These folks are very congenial and informative. As a novice, I had a billion questions about which beginner camera to purchase, about lenses, and accessories and always got great guidance. I never felt like I was talked down to and no matter how busy they are, I always am greeted. You can tell the employees love working there and are passionate about what they do. Their prices are also better than most places I checked. My first purchase was a great experience.

  I am a first time camera owner with little to no experience in photography. The staff at the counter were very keen to my questions and very knowledgeable. There are a lot of negative reviews but I walked through the door three times before I made a purchase and each time my experience was positive. As far as prices they are competitive for what they offer and they seemed to be a dealer of higher quality cameras. I'll definitely purchase from Park Ave Cameras again!

  I love Park Ave Cameras, it's a beautiful store! Now they've illuminated that store so resplendent, it's inviting to everyone! Get a gift, this Christmas, for your sweetheart! Can you imagine his surprise, and glee, if you picked out a new piece of gear for him! WOW! Best way to get emeralds/roses as a gift from your husband, get him whatever he's into, whether it's tools, cameras, or a cool accessory for a Nikon he already owns!   They have a GREAT selection of both cameras and digital cine camcorders, plus any & all the accessories you could possibly want! On top of their phenomenal product selection, they have a very knowledgeable staff led by a tall Store Manager.   I am a Nikon lover, so lets just get that out of the way. If you are the same this is the store for you. They have a humongous collection far surpassing any store I have been in. However they still have a lot of other brands and models of each throughout their store. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of all camera brands. Definitely will be upgrading my collection through them.

  I worked with Alex Daniels and can I say this guy knows his stuff?!? He helped me order a second camera (Fujifilm X-T4) and really educated me on quality lenses. The tripod mounting was flawless on both cameras and he kept in touch with me during the whole process from order to lenses delivery. I can't recommend enough this shop. Clean shop, friendly people that know their merchandise, competitive pricing and quality service. What else does a anyone need?

  Use the Parkavecameras Card to slash tax expenditure. It's not tax avoidance or evasion, you pay the tax but the store reimburses the sum. I now save the same as the sales tax expended on every item dispatched to my state. When you visit, ask their assistance to hook you up and get a card. Thanks Paul!

  I've been looking for a film printing place in the Roselle Ave since the one I used to go to in b&h, this place is great! The staff are really friendly and helpful and they have competitive rates for the lenses rental/ printing. It is an expansive place with all kind of camera equipment, but I especially like their massive in-stock selection of film, photo paper, and darkroom equipment that I haven't seen in any other store. I will definitely be back!

  The most-sought-after and comprehensive photography store for the local community. I love the ambiance in this store! The staff is really professional and patient.   I cannot say enough praiseworthy things about Park Ave-Cameras very knowledgeable and helpful staff. I had a flash drive death. They retrieved 400+ pictures that I thought might be buried into oblivion forever. My thanks for their help and professionalism! Also, their prices are the same as B&H photo! Why on earth would you buy anywhere else? I have a lifesaver and reliable customer assistance there. Excellent and very helpful.

  Actually this is one of the last dedicated camera shops in the city. They are well stocked with a vast variety of tripods and mount equipment and have a very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Lots of workshops and other events. Get on their subscription if you have any interest in advanced photography. Buy stuff here so they stay in business. It won't cost more than online and they have manufacturers events that offer lower prices unavailable anywhere else. This is a good place.

  A photographer's cove of pure light! Park Ave Camera is a unique place for connoisseur who want to spawn superior imaging. The staff is very knowledgeable and does a phenomenal job of steering their customers into getting better results from their equipment. Their prices are super-competitive and when you factor in the value of the expertise, shopping here becomes an obvious choice when compared to buying online.   Amazing shop for the selection and the people. I got great help figuring out a problem with my old German Rheinmetal Weltex vintage camera, and they keep a great selection of used gear (as well as new digital versions). Everyone in the shop was super friendly and brimming with knowledge.

  Such an iconic family-run photo store! They have a diversified products selection, loads of services (e.g., repair shop, workshops, rentals), and simply cheerful staff! For everything I compared, their prices are the same as what you would get at B&H or on Amazon... But they offer way superb guidance with personable product reviews and ongoing support than you'll ever get at a big box store. Please make sure to give these folks your business. A+++++Company.

  Such a boost of confidence and delightful experience as a beginner being at the store. The staff is very compassionate and the atmosphere of the store is sociable. There's a unique collection of camera-related products to browse and try out, and there are experts helping you make the best purchasing decisions. I even had a jammed shutter in my camera, and they helped me fix it up free of charge! I love this store

  Smooth-streaming communication, customer service and shipment of my beatiful Oben Aluminum tripod that has a foldable design for portability, but works perfectly. Even when I missed the integrated monopod with the bubble levers in the packing case, Paul was highly proactive and considerate as he assured me they were in there. And they were. The way a customer is treated when the retailer knows the customer is mistaken, is a testament of a company' bottom-line ethos. Endorsed wholeheartedly.

  One of the best places in Ny to satiate your photographic needs. Very insightful, elegant and knowledgeable staff coupled with a highly chic exhibition makes for an interactive and delightful experience: the 'illumination' oscillating in the 'background' only enriches the splendor of this store.   I like shopping at Park Ave Cameras and can find most of what I need. It was nice that staff members reminded all shoppers to wear their masks properly instead of dropping them below their chins or nose to keep all shoppers and workers safe. They have a conspicuous notice at the entrance listing down Covid-19 Safety Protocols!

  I still stick to film - and absolutely go to these guys! I have for negatives, prints & an electronic/digital collection of photos delivered in 1-3 days. For an UNBEATABLE price. Sad that I relocated from this nearby spot, but I will be making the drive to PAC for my monthly drop-offs :) I don't know any other shops that still offer old-school merchant service locally anymore.

  Love this shop. They have been so helpful to us with making new replicas after we had everything mutilated in the vortex of Hurricane Dorian. We also had bigger canvas prints devised to complete the interior ensemble. Always friendly and helpful. I'm not tech savvy but they always have time and patients to walk me through making prints at their photo labs. Superb staff. Mixed selection of other photo related items like frames, magazines, cameras, bags, lighting, darkroom chemistry, and accessories. They are unrivaled in drop-off processing in the area.

  This is one of the topflight stores I have ever been deeply involved in, and not just for cameras. Staff is very eager to help and patient. They really want you to love your hobby or grow your wedding photography trade. I am already planning my next visit for a new lens. Staff is great to ask questions within anything related to photography and videography which makes it easier to make a final selection

  I love the Park Ave Camera in central New York. The staff is always very companionable and incredibly good-humored. I always have my films processed here with excellent results and turnaround. I also saw there are some hot deals to go along with purchasing a new piece of gear. It’s a hands-on way to get acquainted with your camera, toolkit, and practice using it all.

  Incredibly helpful to smoke out a stubborn shutter defect, that's why my camera wasn't working (just needed one part replacement). Didn't try to upsell me at all, just got me what I needed, explained it all, and was super friendly!

  High-end store with upper-class selection of camera brands such as Leica. Got and grabbed a superb secondhand Canon lens. Staff was welcoming and upfront honest plus it was nice that they had found and included a front lens hood a for free and taking it back home with protection since I was driving makes me a return buyer. The little extra customer service was very helpful.

  Came down last week with the boss and friend to purchase my first solar telescope. Was welcomed with a brew and very cordial staff. Being a novice and a lefty my equipment mount wasn’t up to scratch but the chap speaking to us corrected my mount and then it was down to selecting a bespoke telescope. Once I selected my equipment, the boss was so impressed with the service that he then also bought a spontaneous bottle of beer! After that he down a deposit in a new telescope and solar glasses. We set out originally that day to visit four optics shops. And it’s safe to say we didn’t make it past the first one! Top staff, quality service. Will use this as my local now. 👍

  Bunch of helpful guys. Stuart was the reason I returned as he's been really sound with advice on all aspects of photography from setting up my equipment with the phone. I had a lot of questions and thought it would be better if I went Parkavecameras itself and I must have spent over an hour asking questions, getting a feel for Leica cameras, film models, accessories etc. and not one moment did I feel I was wasting their time. Stuart is a knowledgeable chap on his field of kit / equipment and gave me a masterclass / education on a lot of things from full-frame systems to medium-format. Looks like this will be my one-stop shop for any gear moving forward.

  I looked on line at the selection of second hand lenses and found 3 I was interested in so I went to the shop to view them. A very helpful young man was able to find all 3 and let me compare them without pressure to buy. I chose one (Sony) and was very pleased with the deal along with E-mount and filters. All the staff seemed very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble, the can of cappuccino was good too. thank you

  Before Friday I wouldn't have rated this shop at all, as in my previous experience the staff have been condescending, indifferent and borderline rude. But as I needed some v-mount system quickly I bit the bullet (pun intended) and gave them another try. The guy I spoke to ( I think he was the manager, but I'm not sure) was pleasant, informative, chatty and gave sound sensible advice. Now I would not hesitate to visit again, and I'm looking forward to seeing the store when the renovations are finished.

  Upon being buzzed through the door I was met by a very friendly staff member and a room full of treasures. As I was looking to upgrade from my Sony alpha a7R iv to something a little more reliable and accurate when asked my price range and whether I wanted a mirrorless digital camera or a complete kit with lenses I was shown a few Alpha series and allowed to choose from wide range of models and information shown I had decided on one and was given more information on this particular model... I will be back for more stuff in the future brilliant shop and staff

  What a shop super helpful couldn't ask for better we got our bottle 1.0mL Sensor Cleaning Solution no problem asked for some advise on swabs or brush for sensors up to 24mm and they helped no problem they also supplied us some VisibleDust EZ Sensor Cleaning Kit and they helped us supply that. Will be going again ( they also have a good selection of lenses/sensor/optics cleaning kits).

  I purchased the newly launched EOS R6 with 24-105mm f/4L lens from Park Ave Cameras very recently and although i was very niev and inexperienced I found the gentleman couldn't be more helpful with expert advice even though I turned up very late! !   They do the shopping experience as it should be. :) Nice and friendly staff. They are not getting tired to answer all of my questions even may some of them wete foolish. They give advice if you ask for it but nothing unwanted. No pushing. They were happy to bring down to the yard a half dozen of cameras to be able to try them properly outdoors. Basic camera-smiths works were carried out while I wait. What else can I say? Usually I hate shopping, but they made my shopping as a real good experience. And last but not least they knocked a little off from their friendly list prices at the till. Defenetly recommend
