I asked for photo ID on a digital support, I end up with a photo scanner on my flash drive? Something I could have done myself, with a little manipulation of Parkavecameras. And when I came back, the seller told me that it was the company policy which did not allow him to give me the photo ID on the medium. Consequently I paid $40 and wasted time to end up with a photo scanner useless !!!!!!

Placed an order for a Fuji gfx50s on the 17th July and over $5,490 was taken from my debit card. Then received an e-mail on the 20th to say there was limited quantity. I replied its not a big issue as long as they could deliver the item in two weeks or specified date. A month went by so I called them to check on the progress. Then received an e-mail saying they would "follow up with Fujifilm". Nothing for around another week so I e-mailed again only to receive another e-mail saying they would "liaise with their sources today", but they didn't update me. Park Ave Cameras seems reactive instead of being pro-active and as someone who has works in customer service for over 20yrs ,dealing with American buyers both online and physically on a daily basis I know when I'm being led up the ripoff path and if they couldn't source the camera they should have just said so and credited back the money. As of tonight 08/27/2020 the website is showing estimated delivery if you order one as between 24-30th August , a whole month after I ordered mine. I'm also in the market for a Fuji GF 32-64mm f/4 R lm wr lens and rechargeable fuji li-battery but I will be shopping elsewhere. They seriously need to get their noses in gear and start respecting their customers but currently I don't see it.

This is the 1st time that I have fixed up a lens and unfortunately the work they did was not up to snuff. I went to get my Pentax 24-70mm lens after three days as they said, the next day after the 1st shoot I noticed that something was wrong, focus that is not done, zoom that clogs. I had to return to the store, a screw may have been forgotten or badly drilled in the lens. I therefore went back for after-sales service ... and was not ready until 15 days later. I had to rent lenses during this period, having no other wide angle, which cost me time and money, for a fault of the after-sales service. Unfortunately no compensation provided and when I expressed my disappointment, I was told that it was "human to be wrong" ... I had a very good contact with Alex but unfortunately today I am disappointed by the after-care service that they use, and by the lack of empathy to which I was entitled in store by indicating that I had to spend 15 days to travel around New York to rent and bring back a similar goal several times.

Fantastic service in here. I have only been here once before. On this visit they had ordered me a rear lens cap for my Fuji x-mount. Fitted whilst I waited at no charge. Significantly, every person who came out to reception either to do something or put mail out acknowledged me with a nod or smile... that goes a long way for me. I would have no hesitation in recommending their services..

This store is well-stocked with film photography. Every time I have turned to them, the experience has been very positively energetic. The shop footprint is quite compact which can mean it gets crammed quick but the wealth of knowledge is worth waiting for. I am regularly in here and I see a lot of people who seem unhappy with the valuation of their old film cameras, but lets be honest if they offer you a price it has to be in line with resale value so they can continue to operate. Just because something is old doesn't mean it is worth the moon. I have purchased 2 film cameras here and most of my negative development kits here. Staff are generally very helpful, they are not there to tell you how to take a photograph with a camera though as some people seem to want them to. They will not sell you the "I need a camera that takes great photos", what they have done for me is taken my limited knowledge offered advice and left me with purchases I have been using for the past year without any issue. My example would be buying a medium format TLR, I went in and just said "what can I buy under $300", I was presented with 2 options, a $160 camera or a $190 camera told about the pros and cons of each. I was shown other alternatives and had a genuinely brilliant shopping experience (in this case with the owner) ending up with the $190 camera. All my cameras and lenses have come with a 30 day guarantee, but I have never had any problems with them. I will continue shopping with them well into the future and I am very glad to see a more traditional camera shop doing very well.

Bought my first camera from Park Ave Camera today. Friendly staff with useful tips and advice. Helped me sort out an issue with my old camera by cleaning the sensor optics completely free of charge. Then gave me 5 years warranty on my new camera, also free of charge. August 4th bought a beautiful Bushnell. After a very expert explanation and looking at various options, I chose the Bushnell, also because of the lifetime warranty on these binoculars. Alex was knowledgeable and full of advice. Not a pushy salesman who had to sell something but took the time for advice, what are you going to use it for was the first question he asked. Definitely recommended for people looking for high-quality binoculars and good advice! TOP!!

Have positive experience with this store. Staff is always solution-oriented. They have a lot of stock of all major brands and lots of accessories available from stock! Tripod made by Nikon and I am very satisfied with it. Good explanation of how the tripod works and I could always come back with questions. Was there by chance when it was very busy. Got coffee for long wait. Very thoughtful!

If you are looking for a store that offers subject-matter knowledge and knows what they are selling, I would quickly look further. I was told that a celestron digiscope adapter is to be present in the store in NY. On the spot they say that this is not the case, then just a phone call between two locations to B&H. The answer: yes we have that within our stock you may pick it up yourself. More than an hour later, these people are trying to ship us a piece of plastic that you can order through Amazon. A real shame! I conclude from this that you are still better off in a specialist store than in a electronics store that plays a big man online.

Worthless customer service. We bought GoPro's for 1500 dollars; If there is an error on the invoice, you will be told that "this can no longer be adjusted". Park Ave Cameras; making a credit note and a new invoice takes 2 minutes ... Our filmmaking company will go to another supplier in the future. Update 1: more than a month further and still no solution from Park Ave Cameras. Update 2: 2 months further and still no solution. Update 3: In the meantime 3 months further and still no solution has been offered by Park Ave-Cameras. The "never darken my door again" look.

A shop where you can find nice gear in occasion, but ... The staff is the opposite of friendly, but in some extent, some employees are more helpful than others. Also, even after buying more than $30000 of equioment over several years, they have no token of appreciation in any regard. Sometimes, even a "hello" and "goodbye", you have to fight to get it! A little politeness and good manners, it does not eat into your gluttonous profits. They also seem to forget that if you decide to pay more than online, it is expected that i get quality service.

Nowadays you steer clear of online for a brick and moratr store for the added value that a personal contact with the sellers can offer, otherwise it is just as easy to order via the internet. In this store people they don't seem to have woken up and smelt the coffee yet. The purchased product was delivered much later than agreed, nothing more than putting it on the counter and paying, I did not expect silence from the staff and for the price I did not have to beg for their attention, it. A few dollars more expensive than the average internet shop.

Last year placed a backorder for a Nikon camera. After the given date, my camera was still not available after 6 months of waiting. Drove back there a few weeks because according to the website a certain item (the same camera model) was in stock. Once there they could not find the camera LOL. Eventually went to the competition where I could even take it home for $70 cheaper. Calling Park Ave Cameras? You end up with a service that demeans all stores. It is therefore impossible for you to contact the store directly to ask questions or to check whether the item is in stock. Went to buy a lens a few days ago. Of the different models that they sell online, only 3 were available, but none of the rest were available in a store. Finally ordered online. Delivery by UPS. I immediately held my heart because I have never had a positive experience with them. Delivery would happen today between a certain hour and yes ... Nothing received. LOL. Sorry Park Ave Cameras, but never again. Not a bad word about the sellers because they are great, but how does Park Ave Cameras work as a company?

Not Recommended, I wanted to talk about my experience and disappointment as their customer. I decided to buy the item Impact VC- Digital Monolight with transmitter bundle and the Westcott X-Drop Kit. During assembly I realize that it requires an Reflector from Godox bounces the light off a centrally positioned deflector and is directed to fill the white reflector interior. No salesman present at the sale gave me this essential information. Then I take care of mounting the monolight and the bundle as it may break because of its poor quality! I make contact with the customer service that offers me to replace the item and make a commercial gesture. I go there and exchange my monolight and get a new honeycomb grid. Back home I can finally test the entirety of my equipment and surprise one of the spot is failing and indicates a signal of error! I get back in touch with the service that offers me once again to go into the store to change the spot! I find myself again having to modify my professional program this afternoon! I set off and will inform you of the progress of the situation ... Once on site, I mention that this situation is unacceptable and that I lose two hours of my day trip due to their incompetence. A salesman can not help but try to humor me by telling me that the drink I consume will give me energy! They tell me that they are not responsible for the malfunction of the equipment and that the responsibility lies with the production company. I think that any professional working in this sector would take care to check the quality of the products that are delivered in store? After a replacement spot, a test in store and "a commercial gesture" (two heads), I can finally go to test the equipment! An incompetent customer service and unverified equipment! TO AVOID

A local business that knows how to play the game against the tenors of Amazon's pitch, B&H or EBay, at least in the field of photography. Purchasing a Leica lens and a bag with just $500, especially a 3 month warranty store, it's still better than an online purchase (which would have been more expensive 50 dollars for a warranty breakage a product that you have not even been able to watch, touch and test ..) Special mention to Alex who took the initiative to keep me all day the coveted opportunity back shop, knowing that I had a lot of travel time (2 hours round trip) and Tabitha, passionate about photography but also optical engineering (and heaven gazers binoculars, like me ..) where big conversation photo / innovations super cordial ... that you will not find anywhere online ... A nice address to know, I will return despite the distance given the reception, advice and reasonable prices.

I recently had a problem with my Pentax 645Z Dslr.I contacted tPark Ave Cameras and spoke to Alex Bushell , he very kindly arranged for the camera to be collected from my home address. The camera was looked at by the technicians and repaired as necessary. I received a phone call from one of the technicians explaining what had been done to repair the device along with an e-mailed report. The technician explained the process of me getting the camera back and when it would be posted out. I asked a number of questions regarding my Pentax and other products stocked in the store, he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The whole experience was very prompt and efficient and I would definitely recommend using them. Excellent service all round.

In any case, this photographer's toehold in the industry persuaded me to go back there !!! See you soon.

Completely disappointed, after my first visit, I finally found a seller who saw me enter the store and took care of me. Since the move, but the others seemed bored and busy in the staring at their computers where it is difficult to have a contact. I do not understand too much the aloof attitudes but it is not my problem. I did not find the strobe I was looking for but I went out with another that I needed for a long time and at a good price. Thank you to the employee of the year who served me. Yes, it's been a long time since I had lost hope. While at the next shop, I bought 3 items...

Super camera store! No complaints ! I came with my DSLR for a defective sensor and the seller immediately jumped at the job he explored all possible solutions and imaginable for my issue! He was very professional and his colleagues around him were all super friendly and humorous which made it all very customer-friendly encounter. I highly recommend this store if you have any camera repair concerns they help you directly (if it is a concern not too serious I imagine) and give advice. Everything there is very pro! They conquered my heart and will return soon!

Their customer service was absolutely superb. The associate who helped me was knowledgeable, gleaned what he was talking about, and spent more than an hour explaining to me all the possibilities that would suit my needs, including the advantages and disadvantages of different or similar binoculars. It is not too difficult to park in the area unless you visit them during rush hours.

Park Ace Cameras is now my favorite, Leica official dealer ๐Ÿ‘ for their professionalis, dynamism and passion. They always give me a very good welcome here. Multi-brand camera store well known to all (seasoned) photographers in New York (and elsewhere!). Regularly supports demos and events related to different brands and products. Competitively priced and online sales via the site. Purchase and resale of second-hand equipment (shop windows dedicated to the old store). I highly recommend! Closed now on Saturdays.

Dynamically available team, having given us invaluable tips, we felt we were well advised by experts in the field. And it's not so important for them to sell something you use or not, they seek to explain why! Vast diversity of videography products and good prices. It just remains a little bit better to organize for a cruising to the store in terms of travel.

It is a well-rounded photographic shop, I visited it a few months ago to buy a Sony a7r ii and they advised me incredibly to acquire adapters, on-camera lights, among other things, they also stock weaponry scopes!! Widely recommended, I will surely visit her again on my next trip!

Selection is good. Especially, the mirroless dSLr and full-frame selection. Customer service, however, is extinct with Dinosaurs and our homo cousins. I would not recommend this location. Update: Figured I'd give them another chance 2 weeks later because I was looking for an rf lens to ef mount adapter for Canon. The service clerk was the rudest I have literally ever spoken with. Decided to take my business else where.

Was going to give a zero star review(but Net Reviews or Alphabet don't permit), but itโ€™s more of the same. Giving the 1* reviews and youโ€™ll know what youโ€™re walking into with many customers. They donโ€™t even comment to 90% on the negative reviews so they definitely donโ€™t care. There are many camera shops in town that are 1000% better than this place. Do yourself a favor and go out of your way to find a better camera retailer.

Wish I could give 0 stars. Never returning or reccomending anyone here again. I spent several hundred dollars at this store and one of the cameras I got was heavily tampered, it was missing it's battery and even after I got a battery the camera wouldn't even work. I went back with the reciept and product, and instead of apologizing to me and replacing it, the extremely rude manager told there was nothing he could do since the packaging was torn. Park Ave Cameras is my favorite photography retailer in the New York area! when I moved up here from Colorado Springs, I went to every store to find my new go-to. Park Ave was by far the friendliest, well managed, COMPETITIVELY priced. Everyone there is well informed on most disciplines and if they donโ€™t have answer they will find it. If youโ€™re well experienced with cameras, or just getting started. Give them a try. Youโ€™ll be surprised what their small location has to offer. Most importantly: the respect they show my significant other is unmatched anywhere. Unlike most places, they treat women with the same respect they would any other customer. I have no worry of sending her to the store or bringing her with me. I know she will be taken care of.

After thorough research and vetting to find the โ€œbest camera store in NY,โ€ I found Park Ave Cameras. I liked their story and I always support small businesses before big boxes. I live in Manhattan, so driving an hour to this store has to stand for something. It was hard to find at first as it is a nestled in an office building, but once I got there the people there were super friendly, inviting, and nice. Unfortunately, I didnโ€™t exactly have the credit card that has my cash. Instead of driving an hour back to Manhattan, the guy gave me advice on how to make a simple fix to the situation and through a very quick, easy, and painless process, I went through the necessary paperwork and got my very first eps 5d mark iv! He did not upsell me on anything I didnโ€™t need. If this is your first time buying a beginner item, donโ€™t feel intimidated or nervous at all because they make you feel very comfortable and welcomed and they know everyone was a novice at some point. They even have recommendations on where to go for landscape picturesque photography in New York. Definitely worth the hour drive from Manhattan!

I've been processing my film in this New York super kiosk for more than 10 years now! I come here as they are very competitively priced as well as lightning-fast turnaround & excellent quality development. I have bought a lot of my prosumer end camera bodies n lenses from this store n the aftercare support is astonishing. I had some issues with a Sony a7ii camera that was still under their warranty & failed to perform properly, i ended up getting a new one switched off, and another lens with a slight damage that I bought from Park Ave Cameras was personally taken care of by Alex(the owner), he has been awesome in ironing out these challenges as quickly as possible, getting my equipment replaced & keeping me up to date with the ongoing dealings. I'm a very happy loyal customer. Thanks Park Ave Cameras & owneer.

This place is fantastic when you walk in, but very cool. I love photography, would love to learn how to use them better. I have a background knowledge and have taken some nice pictures in the past. I wouldn't mind upgrading my camera to a superb, pre-owned one with more features. Instead I got answers to only the questions I asked. Maybe I didn't get the right guy, who knows. Maybe another sales person would have taken the time to ask germane questions and would want to turn me into a loyal customer. Alright, then. I know who not to go to if/when I go back. Thanks, Lawrence. I'll avoid your counter and go to one of the guys on the floor.
