  Also for non-photographers definitely worth a visit. The shop is a highlight of modern architecture and the gallery shows the most famous photos of the best photographers from around the world. Also open on weekends. Highly interesting insight into the ongoing production of the top-flight brands globally. Attractive shop with all products from Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Leica. Nice gastronomy ☕

  I bought a lens through Park Ave Cameras New York in early 2019 and in the process three in a few accessories in their store. The staff was very friendly, knowledgable and happy to talk cameras/lenses/etc or let me try a few new things that had recently come in. Would highly recommend and stop by Meister Camera if i’m ever in the Hamburg area again!

  The person who deals with Leica is a real passionate about the brand and is really good advice, he did not hesitate to advise me a goal cheaper than what I originally intended (while other stores wanted sell me a model still above in range and price!) and he was really right, so I bought the eyes closed and I'm 100% satisfied. since then, I have also bought other Leica material (new and used) but also my Canon (always with the same seller because even if he is the specialist Leica, he knows Canon as well).

  The shop has everything you need. Major brands, but also more alternative brands including lighting (for the photo shop). The sellers are not at all obtrusive and leave room, either for a ride, to watch and leave without any pressure, or they have a very good attitude, listening and good advice (not to sell the most expensive but the most adapted), when we decide to solicit recommendations.   Sellers have a listening and very attentive attitude.   A shop that should be known to any amateur or professional of photography, they have everything, new, antique, second hand ...... It is a very large place, with many employees and they serve you phenomenally and it shows that they know what that speak. It is in central New York, so you can access with your car, but you can park outside their premises and walk up 200 meters if you drive by car as is my case. 100% recommended.

  Parkave cameras is legendary as the ultimate destination to visit in New York, Manhattan for all things photographic. My Nikon D4500 got dropped when I was returning it to its (well-padded but undersize) case, damaging the zoom and shutter mechanisms and rendering it unusable. I was dreading the repair bill or having to buy a replacement, but to my surprise a guy in the service department fiddled with it and got it back in working order in 5 minutes! He didn't even open the case, just tinkering with the lens and working his mojo-magic on it. AND didn't charge for the service! From there, I went straight upstairs and bought a new (larger) camera case to ensure there would be no repeat of the incident - AND the case was on sale! Woo-Hoo!

What you can’t get with these market chains is the expert consultants to help you make the most informed choice in gear. Making the wrong choice in camera or lens can take a heavy toll in losses and end up with costly expenditure. So developing a relationship with someone who has your best interest in mind and stands behind their product tilts the scales in this business's favor.

  I really like this place as a Pentax shooter. First I love it since their selection of Pentax gear is almost limitless. They do carry a great selection of Canon, Nikon, Sony, Hasselblad, Leica and other camera brands. They also carry an assortment of lighting equipment, tripods, monopods, video equipment, printers and much more. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Some of their employees have worked there for over 40 years! By the way, this is a four story building, and it is chock full of goodies. They have plenty of parking as well, and nice restrooms. There was also a huge mural on the outside wall when I visited.

I like this Parkave cameras because of how they exercise corporate social responsibility in the community. They launch events and also allow for customers to rent out their photo lab, enlarger rooms, and camera equipment. Call ahead of time if you’re seeking to rent equipment, just in case. There’s sprawling merchandise to explore! Plenty of free parking in their lot. Get your film developed here and you can trust their quality and commitment to care for your artwork.

  One year after I purchased a camera from James Sloane and after a year the camera was guzzling excess charge from battery every day. I took it back to Parkave Camera and they monitored the camera for a one day and then sent it to the manufacturer, having decided that something was wrong with the item itself. It was repaired and now it is always ready for me to take the most wonderful pictures. Thank you James and Parkave Camera for the great product and the profitable service.

  A fantastic space in New York for photography lovers. The shop is amazing with incredibly courteous and helpful personnel and a selection of cameras and lenses. They also feature a photography gallery as well as a small legacy camera exhibit and it's really worth a stop.

  What a wonderful shop with friendly, helpful and most of all, knowledgeable staff. The customer service is outstanding both during purchases (no pressure, just good advice and never feeling hurried) and subsequent memory card issues (all sorted and very happy). They even provide tea and coffee :-). Cannot recommend highly enough.

  Park ave cameras is full of surprises such as its superb independent educational facilities. It's a gem of an optical shop. The wide variety of such a complete range of products is hard to beat and the staff are so helpful and knowledgeable that you can buy in confidence. From the world's top brands to the lesser well known, with all advantages and disadvantages explained. No hard sell but professional and friendly advice. I am sure I will be back in future.

  Parkave staff were extremely friendly and helpful, staff James, Stuart and Roy were excellent, extremely knowledgable and willing to help along with 'no pressure' attitude to sales which I believe is invaluable especially when making such a costly purchase. They do great pricing and can even order items in if they aren't in stock for you to purchase. Purchased a Fujifilm triple lens kit along with all bells and whistles for a steal and would not go anywhere else, go in and give them your support as these are the local businesses we need. Top joint and highly recommended!

  The nicest place to get your film forged and scanned -- I usually get my film created in my college town but using the same camera film and lens the scans from here are a superior in quality -- scans from three photos I extremely mutilated by frigid somehow turned out unnoticeably damaged.Leah

  James and Stuart, camera section are outstanding Nikon Ambassadors! I recently ordered a new camera from them and had a wonderful experience picking it up. Stuart patiently took me through all the features with the demo camera, and, as we unpacked the new camera together, really made it feel special - as it should with Nikon. They were both so helpful with the accessories, and kept in touch as new items became available. I loved the personalized experience and highly recommend them.

  The splendor and great toy store for a photographers, many options and opportunities to see and buy photo or video equipment, staff in the Camera department were very professional, patient and friendly I expend few hours getting good information and insights to decide what camera was better to get and buy it in a package deal. The store is huge but very well organized and separate by brands, is busy all the time with big lines but thanks to good staff they moved fast and was easy to pay and pick it up the order. Definitely recommend.Hun

  I had just arrived from the Ontario, brief stop off at New York on my way to Seattle to find that my camera wasn’t working, potential disaster. Staff at the store really went above and beyond to rectify the problem for which I am very grateful, I don’t think I could have got that level of care back in Canada.   Very friendly and professional service from start to finish. Thought one of my lenses could do with a clean. They advised that due to the type of lens and cost that would be better not to touch and just keep using which I am and getting great pics. Businesses like this have been wiped off the face of the digital Earth. Certainly would recommend them.

  I bought a rare Fujifilm lens from Parkave Cameras, the first time I'd ordered a second hand Camera, so was a little nail-biting. I needn't have been. Not only was the price the most competitive I'd found online, the staff was tiptop - friendly, professional and helpful.   Couldn’t have had a better experience. James provided some really helpful advice in narrowing down which camera and lens to buy, and additionally was great in helping me pick up a bag, filter and extra battery. Price was within ballpark estimate of amazon for the camera and the lens and the rest were cheaper - thanks so much for all the help!

  Unbelievable customer service. Rob was extremely knowledgeable and patient with all my questions. I received a tripod as a gift and they were able to provide me with a store credit even though I did not have a receipt. This allowed me to purchase a camera for my son’s graduation.   Stopped by Park Ave Cameras on a weekend away in New York. I stopped in as a customer on their first digital camera, the advice and knowledge being given to me by the staff was amazing and was all well explained. I also managed to buy a mid-range format film camera that I have fallen in love with. Excellent store, these guys know what they are talking about! Would love to visit again!

  It's a nice and organized Park Ave while the staff art the cream of the camera city. It takes seconds for a staff member to help a customer. I have never had post-purchase issues with this company. After I purchased a camera, the box arrived intact. My friend's camera had screen issues straight out of the box from best buy, it is not our favorite tech store to shop anymore. Park Ave have many devices on display!
